It took a lot of planning and a lot of hard work. But Tenzin and some ninja of the village made it to Sunagakure no Sato without a hitch. Of course there was minor incidents here and there, but nothing that would derail their travels. Upon arriving the Suna, Tenzin had to deal with some offical business. He had to coordinate with Suna's higher-up ninjas and provide a finalized list of all the shinobi that were attending the village. After Tenzin placed his traveling bags in the room, he decided to take some "me time" and look for somewhere to eat quietly. He loved teaching, but a full couple weeks trying to police a bunch of kids for a field trip could be very exhausting. Once he was assured everyone was going to their right places, he walked off to get some food. Since he was trusted and had organized the whole project, he had some leeway as far as doing minor things on his own.

He walked through a few restaurants, but didn't know exactly where to go. After looking at a couple places, he decided to just keep walking until he found something interesting or heard a rumor about a cool place. However, Tenzin was stopped in his tracks. He could of sworn he just saw someone that was very familiar to him. Could it be......

An averaged height young man with long, flowing white hair that was tied up currently in a high pony tail as the remaining locks washed down to around the middle of the man's back while a fresh looking Suna forehead protector was tied loosely around his neck. His bright blue eyes shifted from left to right as he would occasionally greet others whom he passed on the street. Having spoken with Gene and in the end left him to his own items of interest at the hospital building Zao was returning towards the center of the village and had planned on getting some lunch as it was already approaching noon as the bright yellow and orange ball in the sky hung high overhead at this point. Though it was rather hot today the scholarly looking young man didn't have a speck of sweat on his skin or bright white robes seemingly perfectly comfortably and content in the environment of his home village.

Yet, as he greeted a friend in passing he turned his blue gaze to the left not as he found that their was someone standing completely still as people just walk around the figure. It actually caused for the Suna-nin to stop as well as he found that the person was gazing at him and after a few seconds the man was able to sort through his memories to discover that he had, be it only briefly, met the man in Konoha on that day. While it had only been a short time for Tenzin it had been nearly five years worth of time and though Zao had matured a bit in appearance one would still be able to draw the conclusion that he was the same person who had started the little uproar within the Leaf village. A half smile appeared on his lips as the slender fingers of the left hand lifted to give a slight wave, "It would seem we have met before, my friend?" He would speak as he moved with casual steps to reach speaking distance, careful not to intrude to far onto the shinobi's personal space.

Tenzin never really had closure with this shinobi. He remembered the reaction that was caused because of a miscommunication, but he also remembered the Hokage himself settling things down very easily. Tenzin truly didn't know this man, but he did know that he wasn't an enemy. The initial reaction of seeing him was pure instinct. Tenzin's facial expression changed to a more relaxed look. He heard the man call him "friend" and since the purpose of him and the other Konoha shinobi for being in Sunagakure was for a peaceful visit, he figured that nothing negative would come out of a simple greeting. It might be good to learn more about this man and maybe he could get hints about some of his unique capabilities.

Regardless, it only took a few seconds for Tenzin to greet the man. He kept his hands in his pockets and had a slight relaxed hunch to his posture which emphasized his comfortably. "Yes, sorry about the awkwardness we had a slight misunderstanding a little while back." He looked the man in the eyes and continued to speak. "It was brief but I never got to introduce myself fully. My name is Tenzin."

Tenzin had hoped that this man was kind like the rest of the shinobi he had bumped into while at the village. Maybe he could ask this ninja for some direction as far as a good place to eat is.

"Ah. Well, it was a misunderstanding caused by me, so...sorry about that." Though it had been a little bit of time since the incident that Tenzin spoke about as a slight misunderstanding, the incident actually causing for the gate's of Konoha to be closed was probably more than a slight misunderstanding but Zao would prefer that those details of the incident be kept private between the two of them. It was slightly embarrassing to thinking about the situation now but it also made him smile as he had ended up actually meeting the Hokage and starting the beginning of establishing a relationship with the village's leader. Luckily the man had been able to defuse the situation with merely words and in the end everything turned out for the best with the white haired jounin simply getting it more or less swept under the rug for lack of better words.

"It is a pleasure to meet you now, Tenzin-san." Finally knowing the shinobi's name causing for Zao to give him a brief martial salute with his hands accompanied with a slight nod of his head, a respectful greeting for the Konoha-nin now. "I'm Zao. I heard that this venture was brought on through your hard worked, for that I thank you my friend. I'm actually looking forward to bringing some of the youth to experience the sights and sounds of your home village as well. As you can tell, while our village's are allies we are very different in so many aspects." As the youthful looking man spoke he allowed for his hands to relax down to either side as all but the finger tips were now hidden by the long sleeved upper robe, seeming to not even notice the temperature, very comfortably working in the environment as he expressed his thoughts about being on the caravan that would be visiting Konoha in the future.

"What were you headed off to do?" Positive that the fellow shinobi had not been looking to meet him here, Zao asked the ally about what his plans were for the moment. If it was something that he could help him in finding then it would be his pleasure to show the jounin around and get to know the man a bit better now.

Tenzin watched as the man became more relaxed as well. He listened as the man spoke. He seemed... different. Even though Tenzin only knew little about him, it was clear there was something about the man that kept reminding him of something. However, Tenzin couldn't put a finger on it. Tenzin had a slight smile when Zao mentioned that not only did the man appreciate the work he had done, but that he was planning on something similar. He responded to Zao's statement. "I couldn't agree more, however I can't take full credit. If it weren't for the other shinobi to help organize from our end, this would of been too much to handle." A humbling statement, but an honest one.

Once Tenzin finished speaking he listened to Zao's question. However, it was almost like his stomach was listening and just as Zao finished his question, Tenzin's stomach began to growl. He lifted his right hand out of his pocket and put it over his stomach. Immediately he responded to Zao's question. "Well, I was going to look for a place to eat. Do you have any suggestions?" With this time and opportuntity, Tenzin wanted to not only find a unique and tasty spot to eat, but potentially drag Zao with him and become allies on a personal level than just a village level.

The man appeared to be a very humble one, not trying to take all the credit for helping to set up this arrangement between the village despite doing the majority of the leg work between the Hokage of the Leaf village and the new Kazekage of the Sand village. This was something that only help to improve the impression Zao had of the young man standing before him. Perhaps this shinobi was someone that he could form a personal relationship with, as his morals and work ethics were much aligned to his own, what an intriguing individual Tenzin was. “It sounds like that's a good idea.” A light laugh managed to escape the thin lips of the bright eyed man as he couldn’t help but briefly shift his gaze down onto the man’s stomach having actually been able to hear the low growl released from the Leaf ninja.

It just so happened that a bit down the road was a rather unique dining place, most likely the white haired man had never been to a place quite like it and with a light smile forming upon his lips the man had momentarily lifted his slender fingers onto his smooth face. With a nod to himself the man lifted his gaze from the ground after the moment of thought and spoke. “I do have a few places that you should absolutely visit during your time here. Down the next cross street there is a rather unique place. Since you’ve just traveled all the way here from Konoha it’ll be my treat.” Turning his body halfway, a simple gesture of his left hand as if politely asking the man to come along with him and Zao would turn completely to begin walking after the Leaf-nin joined him .

It’s down this way.” Walking a brief distance from where the pair of shinobi had just been the long, white haired shinobi made a right hand turn onto a side street that seemed to be just as filled with citizens of the village as the one they were previously walking upon. It would seem that nearly the whole village had turned out to welcome the arrival of the village’s allies as there were even more booths and stands open on the streets today than normal. Up ahead on the left the two men could see a single story building with a rather intricate golden sign that had a scorpion inscribed upon the sign with the name of ‘Mino’s Exotic Eats’ written in beautiful calligraphy. “That’s the place my friend.” With a simple smile he walked with the man as they entered through the open set of double doors where a young woman in her mid teens greeted them and soon after seated them.

She first asked the two men what they wanted to drink and then if they wanted a sampler plate, as she could tell that it was the Leaf shinobi’s first time here as she’d never seen him before and his forehead protector told her why. “Of course.” Zao spoke up, still having not told Tenzin about what kind of food was served here. After the two men ordered their drinks she went away for a few minutes before returning with a decent sized platter but when she set it down it was something that may or may not have been expected by the Konoha nin. Upon the platter were a series of fried or baked entrees. These were scorpions, tarantula, snake meat, and some crickets on toothpicks. “What do you think, Tenzin-san?”

Tenzin enjoyed the man's kindness towards him. This sparked wonder in the back of his mind on what the other villages would be like along with their shinobi. Without skipping a beat, Tenzin followed Zao's lead. Zao mentioned a few placed that Tenzin should try, along with following up that he would be treating him to lunch. "That is very generous Zao, I will return the favor when you visit Konohagakure next time." It was rude to refuse a kind gesture, but Tenzin figured the best way to reciprocate was to offer the same treatment. Tenzin followed the man throughout a small part of the village. Sunagakure wasn't the prettiest, but the fascination of how much different it was to Konoha was great. There were so many booths and stands that were available, Tenzin could only assume they are trying to take advantage of the large amount of potential customers that had arrived. However, it was also perfect. He had only hoped that the other shinobi were enjoying it as much as he was and truly digesting the culture of this village.

With a short amount of time they arrived at the restaurant. Tenzin looked up and read the sign... 'Mino's Exotic Eats.... I hope they don't meant insects and snakes' he thought as he followed Zao through the open set of double doors. He noticed the greeter was rather young, but didn't think much of it. He follwed Zao to their seats and plopped down across from Zao. When asked what they wanted to eat, Tenzin simply said "Tea is fine, thank you". He watched as Zao ordered the food, but didn't know what the sample platter had in store.

It only took a short time before their food was served to them. It smelled good, however once Tenzin saw the food placed on the table he tried his best to hide his confusion. It looks as though "exotic" was exactly what he thought it was. He changed his attention from the platter to Zao. He gave a tiny smile. Tenzin was thrown off that the food was so different, but he was eager to try it and indulge in some culture. "I think its easy to say this is very different than the food I'm used to." He gestured to Zao and said "please, you go first." He wanted to get an idea of what he should try first.

While eating, he figured that he would get to know Zao. They could be the futures of their villages and it was important that they establish more of a friendship or even a mutual respect. "I remember you very clearly from your last visit to Konoha, you had some very interesting moves." Tenzin hinting that he was able to get a glimpse of the battle. "You don't have to give me exact details for security reasons, but what kind of roles do you provide for the village?" It was a very generic question, almost felt interviewy. However, Tenzin wanted to get the official conversation over with and then potentially move on to just shooting the shit.

Different areas have their own spin on foods, these really aren’t that uncommon here within the desert and with the lack of normal mammals one has to resort to using what they have to survive.” With a brief laugh following his response to Tenzin gesturing for him to go first and with that the white haired man’s tattooed hand with its slender fingers was revealed from the right sleeve. Reaching up and carefully picking a scorched scorpion that was only a few inches in length, holding it by the sting at the end of the tail before casually placing it into his mouth and biting off the critter just below the stinger before placing the pointed tip of the tail down on a small platter near his right hand. Chewing the insect like creature made a soft crunching noise which only lasted for a few moments before he had chewed and swallowed the tiny scorpion.

It’s really not too bad, just getting initially past the appearance of them is the hard part. “ After finishing the scorpion the blue eyed shinobi shifted his gaze back over to the Konoha shinobi, listening as he stated remembering him clearly from his last visit, what a little adventure that had been. He’d truly been a bit to open with the use of his Tenku and had drawn a bit more attention than he would have wanted. But in the end he had gotten the chance to meet with and speak to Takeo-sama, the Hokage, building the starting foundation for a future relationship with the man and his village. Thinking back to the short bout Zao couldn’t help but shake his head lightly; most likely the interesting moves included the use of his Tenku, puppetry strings, and some minor space-time techniques. Of course the young man had also been a bit rusty from being out of the rank of shinobi for a few years at that time and there was also no reason to go crazy within a foreign village. “Within the village, I’m mainly a researcher for the Scribes of Sand.” Zao wasn’t sure if the fellow shinobi was up to date on the organization and its purpose for the village and while it was the goal of the group to spread knowledge he wasn’t sure how much he should go into depth about them at this time.

When I’m not dealing with such things, I am tasked to take care of matters that involve spirits as I’m okay in the art of Tenku.” Like with the answer about the organization he was a part of, there was no reason to go into any serious level of detail about his true strengths to the man he only barely knew at this point. His level of spirit arts allowed for him to be able to deal with even the strongest of spirit threats, to include even the genma and host of the Suna-village. Specially his new student, Asuma, whom was just beginning to get a grasp upon the Creations genma, Zao looked forward to how the young chuunin would grow in the future as he learned to control the spirit and her abilities even more to benefit himself. “You give me the feeling of a teacher, Tenzin-san.” As the white haired shinobi took a bite of some of the cooked snake meat he gesture with his other hand towards his new comrade who gave off the aura of someone who enjoyed teaching others…

Tenzin was sure to watch and listen. He loved getting a read on people and at the end of the day, this was a conversation. He listened as the white haired man mentioned being a researcher for an organization called the Scribes of Sand. This must be a research based group. The thought of this organization got Tenzin very excited. Tenzin wanted to learn more about this organization, but he also wanted to continue hearing what the man had to say. Something caught Tenzin's attention from what Zao had said. He mentioned he was involved in spirit based issues... but made a point that he was simply "okay" at the art of Tenku. Tenzin had a mental note that maybe he was being very humble of his capabilities. This was the man that summoned a whole entire area to change weather and form spirit wolves out of nowhere. He would never forget that.

While Zao was talking he took a mental note on how he was eating the food. He didn't want to accidentally eat something wrong and embarrass himself. After Zao ate the scorpian, Tenzin tried it with the same/similar technique of the man. After he got past the first bite, then the texture.... Tenzin actually didn't mind the scorpion that much. He also watched as he took a piece of the snake, to which Tenzin did the same moments after Zao had taken a piece. Tenzin took a bite and started chewing. He stopped once when Zao pegged exactly who he was. Well almost... Tenzin wouldn't be allowed to tell the type of missions he goes on, but only a very very small amount of people know that. The main image of Tenzin is that he is a teacher, which is true. Tenzin nodded as Zao pegged him. He finished chewing the bite of snake he had in his mouth and swallowed it. He looked at the Zao in the eyes and tilted his head tiny bit. "I'm sort of surprised you were able able to peg me so well." He took a sip of tea to clear his throat and mouth before talking more. Once finished, he continued to speak. "Yes I am a teacher at the Academy. It is a very rewarding job and allows me to help watch over my younger sister while being in a safe environment."

Tenzin actually enjoyed the way the snake was cooked. It was a little bit gamy compared to the other meats he has had in the past, but it didn't stop him from taking a second piece. Before he took another bite, he wanted to get a couple more words out there. "I would love to learn more about the Scribes of Sand sometime. Maybe in a different location and after more trust is established." Tenzin grabbed the piece of snake with the chopsticks and looked at Zao. "Spirits are very intriguing. With the Genma and other interesting spirits... It really makes you wonder what really is out there." Once Tenzin finished his sentence he ate the piece of snake. Tenzin even gave Zao a little motion with his hand to indicate that the snake was rather good.

“An academy teacher, that does sound like a very rewarding job my friend.” Zao replied taking a bit of another appetizer on the sampler dish. The mention of being able to watch over his young sister brought a smile to his face, though he didn’t have any siblings over his own to look after but he got the feeling of an older brother helping his younger brother when he helped his young student Asuma. “Did you bring your little sister to experience Suna, as well?” Sipping some of the sweet tea that had been brought to him before the meal the man took another bite of a small insect on the platter. Able to eat the bug in a single bite as he slowly chewed it with a closed mouth and listened to his companion speak.

“The Scribes of Sand? Perhaps before you leave I’ll see if Kiyori-san can make some time to speak with you. Our goal is of course the collection of knowledge but just as much is the spreading of knowledge at the same time.” Anyone interested within the organization was someone that Zao would want to befriend, plus deepening the relationships between their two villages was of course a good thing for them both. “She is the leader of the Scribes, currently.” From what he’d gotten to know about Tenzin, Kiyori would probably take a liking to him just as Zao had despite the rather limited contact between the pair.

“Spirits, now your on my wavelength.” The man spoke up as he was about to put another bite into his mouth but instead pulled it back, if there was one thing that Zao truly loved it would be spirits. Anything and everything about them. A genuine smile appeared on the man's thin lips as he paused to take a sip of his tea before continuing. "I've been privileged enough to see a number of spirits and strange things, yet there is always something out there to surprise you." As he spoke a little wiggle could be seen beneath the man's right sleeve as a rose like flower poked her head out at the man, "Like me!" A tiny voice was whispered out from the flower spirit as she spoke towards the Konoha nin, a light exhale exited the lips of the scholar in that moment as he shook his head, this little one really was still to young and her actions showed.

Tenzin nodded as Zao spoke. In fact, he reached in for more of the snake and dipped it in the sauce that was near it. Tenzin started chewing the snake bite, but stopped mid chew to really hear what Zao was saying about the Scribes of Sand. It was interesting that there would be an opportunity for Tenzin to learn more and this was something he would love to gain from this trip. He quickly finished chewing the snake and made sure to was it down with some of the tea before he spoke up. "If you could arrange that, I would greatly appreciate it!" Tenzin didn't often show too much emotion, but his eagerness was glowing from his face and was relatively hard to miss. After the topic of the Scribes of Sand was finished, he made sure to pay extra attention to the next topic Zao was talking about.

He noticed that for someone who took a "little" interest in it... he seemed to have the exact opposite. Tenzin deduced that this man that was sitting in front of him had an incredibly large amount of information he was hiding. Tenzin was paying attention to Zao's words and the food around him. He felt completely safe, so Tenzin was relaxed in a sense. As he reached for another piece of snake, he heard Zao talking about spirits and how they could be surprising. Tenzin gave a nod and a smile as he drank a large amount of tea. Before he could swallow the tea a tiny root popped its head out and yelled in a tiny voice "like me!" This completely freaked Tenzin out and with little control spit the tea that was in his mouth at Zao by accident. Unless Zao was prepared, the Tea would be sprayed directly in his direction. In one fellow motion Tenzin would move his seat back in shock. "I'm sorry Zao!" Tenzin shouted as he grabbed a towel to either clean Zao up or the area the spray hit.

Once they had finished cleaning, Tenzin would ask a couple questions about Zao's friend. "How did you befriend that spirit? Why is it with you? I thought spirits had to be summoned?"

While the Leaf shinobi’s reaction wasn’t without warrant, it did actually catch the young man a bit by surprise as he had not expected for Tenzin to actually spit out the tea that which he’d just been sipping on. But after the immediate shock of the situation which had allowed for Zao to cover his face from being hit head on with the spray of tea he could only glance down at himself and back to his new friend. A gentle laugh soon filled the air as he reached out with his slender hand to grab a napkin to whip his elegant robes that now had little spots of tea upon them, though it didn’t seem to irritate or anger the young man who simply laughed it off. “No worries, I just hadn’t expected you to be so shocked to see little Hana.

When the man had shouted it kind of frightened the young spirit and she quickly withdrew into the safety of Zao’s right sleeve now and waved off the shinobi who had grabbed a towel himself at the moment, after cleaning up himself and the table a bit he would take his seat once more. “She’s a rather young spirit, you could say that I’ve known her since she was born. As for being a spirit, she could be considered part spirit and part plant, the unique fusion allows for her to exist here like a normal plant would.” While Zao did expose a little bit about the special creation of his own hard work and effort with the Naegi clan in secret and even though the pair were allies, some things were best kept to oneself.

Hana and her creation method was one of these things now as he placed his right hand onto the table and turned his eyes down onto the sleeve which concealed the little desert rose, “Come back out, little Hana-chan.” His tone was as thought speaking to a child or perhaps a younger sibling, gentle, as a few moments passed before one could see a slight wiggle of the fabric now before what looked like a budding rose would slip out from the golden tripped cuff. A single blue eyes could be seen in the middle of the bloom as it shifted to look from her master over towards the man who had shouted earlier. “This is little Hana. Hana, this is Tenzin-san from the Leaf village.

The words caused for her head to tilt a little to the side as though thinking now before a tiny female voice could be heard. “Hello. Please don’t yell like that again, it scared me. “ She seemed to put on an act of innocence in the situation speaking across the small table to the jounin now.

Tenzin did a slight awkward laugh and itched his neck with his righ hand a little bit. He felt a tiny bit embarrased as the poor little vine stated that Tenzin's outburst startled it. To Tenzin the vine was a cute little companion of Zao's. He looked at the vine and simply appologized. "I'm sorry Hana-chan. I have never seen anything as magnificent as you and I simply wasn't prepared. You must aid Zao a lot on missions." Tenzin was attempting to get a feel for what this spirit really was. If its existence alone could completely surprise Tenzin, then what kind of abilities did it have...

Tenzin took a sip of tea and actually let it wash down. He looked at Zao excited with their conversation. "Spirits are truely incredible. Maybe some time you and I could adventure together. I would love to learn more." He reached for another piece of snake which he had (at this point) actually enjoyed. Before he took a bite he looked at Zao and questioned a little bit more about the scribes of sand. "As far as the Scribes of Sand goes, I would love to meet with the leader and understand further what its purpose is... if that would be appropriate." Tenzin inquired more about the scribes of sand simply because he just wanted to learn more. Tenzin was rather innocent when it came to that. In the shinobi world it would always appear that everyone would have an angle... however when it came to its allies, all Tenzin wanted to do was help strengthen the bond.

Okay! Yes, I’m pretty strong!” The little plant was excited to be out and conversing with the Leaf shinobi, accepting his apology and responding in turn to the man’s words and as she spoke about being strong the tiny clawed hands balled up into fist as the little arms of the spirit rose seemed to curl up like she was doing to bicep curls. As if the action would demonstrate to the man across the table just how strong that she was. This action caused for the white haired man to bring his other hand up to his forehead as he couldn’t help but let out a little laugh at the actions of his spirit pet now before he replied to Tenzin. “A joint mission would be interesting and a good experience for our two villages.

The blue eyed man seemed to shift his gaze momentarily up and to the left as he thought about something, it would have been his encounter with one of the other Leaf jounin on that day whom he had also met with during his first travels to the man’s village. “I believe that one of your fellow Konoha shinobi also mentioned something to me about working together, Gene-san.” The man brought up the Anbu operative, though he didn’t know that at the moment, whom he’d sparred with earlier today after the pair had reunited after their last encounter in Konoha. He’d truly grown rather strong since the last time to two exchanged blows. Taking a sip of his tea now Zao would snag another bite from the tray placed between the two as he listed to his new friend speak.

Of course, I’ll just have to find out if she has time. Hopefully she’s in the village, I haven’t seen her for a bit and I’ve been doing a lot of traveling myself.” He would respond, thinking back to the last time he’d seen the leader of the scribes which would have been during the training session back in Fur country. Though he hadn’t had the opportunity to run into or speak with Kiyori since then for one reason or another. “Increasing the reach of the scribes through the strong alliance between our village’s could only help both of our villages, in my opinion.” Looking back across the table the man spoke now as the little spirit pet actually used the close proximity of the right arm to snag a cricket off the platter for herself before withdrawing back into the wide sleeve.

A nod in recognition came from Tenzin towards the spirit as it claimed to be very strong. He couldn't tell if it was just a cute young spirit that thought it was strong... or if it had capabilities that were only activated in battle. Tenzin listened as he started shewing on another piece of the snake. It was interesting hearing this man speak. He was calm and reserved, very similar to Tenzin. He also found it odd, but not surprising that Gene was entangled with this man as well. There was a lot of mystery behind those eyes. He responded to the mention of Gene. "Gene is a friend of mine, I'm glad you got to meet him." Tenzin washed down the snake with his drink a few moments after Zao had.

Tenzin couldn't help but be intrigued by the spirit. He kept in the back of his head the thought and reason why Zao would have a spirit around him and expose that spirit to him. Yes, Leaf and Sand were allies... but there were still things that even Tenzin wouldn't tell Zao. Tenzin was stuck in an endless loop of if this guy was purposely showing him and telling him stuff to be genuine... or to mislead his intentions. Regardless, as an ally Tenzin had to just trust what he was saying and pursue any opportunity that was granted to him.

He looked at Zao and simply spoke up about the Scribes of Sand. "I would love the introduction before I leave if it is possible." Tenzin looked around before he asked Zao a question. He leaned in a bit before speaking: "After we are done eating here do you mind giving me a few restaurant recommendations? I would love to eat a couple more great places before I leave here."

"Aye, Gene is a rather driven man and a good shinobi. I'm sure you both are amazing assets to your village and its needs." Zao was glad to find out that both Gene and Tenzin were friends, perhaps sometime while they were both in the village perhaps the three unlikely friends would be able to get together over a meal before the Leaf shinobi returned to their own village. After he spoke the man couldn’t help to think back when he’d met each of these two men for the first time and let out a light laugh. Which he quickly tamped back down with a piece of snake and some more warm tea.

The pair were tearing through the sampler plate that had been placed before them on the white haired man’s order from before. Zao had always been a rather straightforward person when it came to speaking with other, be it friends or enemies. Of course the shinobi knew his limit of what to talk about and what not to talk about in terms of himself or the village. “Hopefully we can catch her before you do.” He would echo in the sentiment of being able to speak with the leader of the SoS, partially because he wanted to introduce Tenzin but there were other things which he also needed to talk with the woman in depth about.

Haha, of course, my friend.” He shifted his bright blue eyes down towards the disappearing exotic food within the plate now, both of them having almost completely finished it off by this point during their conversation back and forth with one another. Taking one last big of a scorpion before placing back down the last third of the tail now and polishing off the last half cup of tea. Using a napkin from the table he would use it to clean his mouth and the slender fingers of the left hand which he’d been eating within during their time here. “While most of the restaurants are rather good here, what I find to be the most filling are the street vendors and their carts. Some of them have been here for several years which in itself can be a testament as to how good their food it.

Tenzin let out a uncharacteristic smirk as he looked at Zao. He patted his belly; the universal motion to say that he was full. However, there was something that fully peaked his interest. "The lunch here is very unique... but excuse me if I overstep in any way, but does this place have a delicious dessert menu?" Tenzin didn't often indulge himself, but while he was already there and sitting he figured that he might as well. He reached for the rest of his tea and sipped it. It was very unique for the tea to still be warm.

This whole mid afternoon was very interesting. He never thought that he would be sitting across from a Sunagakure Shinobi with hopes of potentially learning more about one their organization. He really hoped that he would be able to visit the shinobi he was talking about too. However, at this moment in time Tenzin was more focused on dessert. In fact it was the only thing he could think of. The food he had just ate with Zao were actually very delicious.

If Tenzin's experience was great so far, he could only imagine how everyone else is doing with this. They must be learning so much. It was only a matter of time too before Sunagakure comes to visit Konoha. Tenzin was enjoying his time with Zao. However, if they got dessert, he would have to quickly get going. Since he helped get this thing running, he would have to check on everyone and see how everything was going. It was a nice drop in thought, and he was excited to further his relationship with Zao.

Hah. Delicious desserts, sadly not my friend.” The white haired shinobi couldn’t help but let a light hearted laugh exit his lips at the antics of Tenzin now, though sadly this restaurant was known only for its exotic foods and really didn’t have any amazing desserts to offer. His slender finger tips would come up and tap lightly on the hairless chin of his now in thought as he contemplated what would be the best place nearby to finish off the meal they’d started here. “Hmm…” Humming lightly to himself the man shifted his eyes up and to the left in continued thought for a few seconds before a slight smile became apparent on his face as the left corner of the thin lips lifted.

There is a small bakery a block or so down on the left, it should be the perfect place to find something delicious.” With the smile still holding its place on the scholar’s face he spoke out to his comrade now describing a small bakery that was rather well known within the walls of the Sand village despite its rather ordinary looking exterior. The older couple who ran the business had always focused more on the food that they served than creating any special decorations on the bakery. Taking the napkin front his side of the table Zao carefully cleaned anything from both his face and hands before removing enough money to cover the meal and tip.

Lastly he polished off the last of the liquid in his drinking cup before standing up from his chair, sliding the chair back in under the table after he did so. “It’s been fun my friend, but I should be getting back to the hospital to help out. This evening I’ll try to locate Kiyori-san for you.” Stepping around to the short side of the table the young man would extend his slim fingers to shake the man’s hand in order to send him on his way. Knowing that Tenzin was in charge of the group that had traveled from the Leaf village he was sure that the man also had other things he was charged with doing and placed that he would need to be. “If you have time later, feel free to come by the hospital to chat.

Bidding the man goodbye for now, Zao couldn’t help but feel rather well disposed towards the Leaf jounin, feeling that even though they’d truly only met a few times now it was possible to become good friends with the man in the future. With a wave of his tattooed left hand the white robed figure would turn and head back in the direction the pair had walked from earlier in the day. Leaving the Leaf shinobi to head in the other the direction which would led him towards the delicious delights he’d asked about.

Tenzin sat and listened as Zao spoke. There was something about this man that Tenzin couldn't help but respect. It must of been the kindness about him and the similar hair color. Tenzin got a little bit excited when hearing about the bakery. He was sure to stop by there and pick up some treats for him and some of the chaperones. "That would be perfect for me and some of the chaperones, thank you Zao."

Tenzin watched as the man placed the money on the table. Tenzin wanted Zao to know that this gesture was not to go unnoticed. "Also, thank you for bringing me to this exotic place. It was delicious. I will take you out to lunch when you come to visit Konoha." Once Tenzin said that, he made sure to use the napikin on his lap to wipe his mouth and his hands. He then placed the napkin on the table and mirrored Zao's actions. Once he stood up, so did Tenzin. When Zao told Tenzin that it was fun, he hand nothing but the same to say back. Tenzin replied with "It really was" as he reached his hand out to shake the man's hand.

Zao offered for Tenzin to visit him if he had free time later. Tenzin nodded and simply said "I would love to". He then followed Zao out, but the two shinobi left in separate directions. Tenzin waved goodbye as he began to head to the bakery. He couldn't wait to get some sweets in. He was very happy with the way things went with Zao. He knew that two shinobi from different villages who had started their relationship from an altercation would of turned into a friendship. This turn of events got Tenzin thinking about the future and what it could possibly uphold.
