Mental Reflections, New Connections

Post by Pogonophile » Mon Dec 31, 2018 2:18 pm

It had been a couple of weeks since Himiko had that strange encounter within the forest. Between having a rendezvous with a stalker to meeting a Jounin that had simply left her behind with little chakra should she need to defend herself any further, the girl was still a little perturbed by everything that had happened. To top it off, once she did make it home, she was further bitched at by her mother after she examined her arm and used her medical ninjutsu to mend her bruising and heal whatever damage that might have been made to her shoulder joint after its dislocation. That puppet had hit her hard. But her mother's scolding hit her harder. The young Hyuuga knew her mother simply wanted her to be safe and not take unnecessary risks. At the same time, she couldn't improve unless some where made. At the end of the day, it looked like she would be spending the rest of her training within the Leaf Village's immediate borders.

And training she did. In that short amount of time, Himiko felt like she had improved tremendously. Her utilization of katon might be simple in its use, but she had mastered the basic applications of the fire element pretty quickly. The main one of those was focus. She wouldn't be launching fireballs at allies accidentally anymore. She even had managed to learn all of the contents of that basic fire release scroll all while not burning herself in the process. Her biggest improvement had to come with her Jyuuken. Between her little fight to the spar with one of her younger cousins, the girl had really broke through the rust that had befallen her technique. Tenketsu that hadn't seen chakra in ages were now capable of launching waves of energy with a simple thrust of her palm. The process seemed like a slow one, but Himiko gradually would become the skilled shinobi her father knew she could be.

But training was one of those things that she couldn't do daily. Every now and then, she needed to take a simple break. That was what led her to the village's market district. She wasn't a girl to want to buy pretty dresses or the latest cosmetic. Still, it was nice every now and then to unwind and drop a few coins on something nice. She moved through row after row of merchandise until finally settling on a section filled with some of the more exotic goods from other countries. Whether it was perfume from the deserts of the Land of Wind to silks from the Land of Thunder, Himiko couldn't help but smile as she absorbed the culture of lands she had yet to see. Maybe one of these days she'd get to in person. Until then, she supposed this would have to do.

"No, no! Your footing is all wrong! Be like water--fluid yet formless and then...strike!" Gene winced as his father poked him on the forehead, unsure when exactly when his routinely visit turned into a full on training session. Ever since his Grandfather had told Ken about how Gene slipped up during one of his tests the man spared no quarter in trying to teach Gene footwork. Sure, Gene knew that his father meant well but that didn't mean he had to like it. Clad in black garbs reminiscent to the Shinobi of old to include a black face mask Gene certainly looked the part but his struggling to remain balanced on the tips of his toes all but choked off any semblance of honor that he might have displayed otherwise. "Is this really necessary?" He asked, feeling his muscles cry out as he fought to preserve his balance. An task made harder still by the fact that he had to do so while standing on old Bamboo that could hardly handle his weight while trying to block his Father's advances. For a man twice his age, Gene noted that Ken hardly seemed break a sweat while leaping from one stick to the other. How was it Gene wondered, that a man who'd been out of service for more than a decade was still capable of performing such feats without difficulty?

"It is completely necessary!" Ken replied, "If you can't keep your balance and maintain maneuverability on the battlefield then you'll be worried about more than a few aching muscles. Now focus!" Gene groaned, set his mind to the task and focused as instructed. Though it would have been a lot easier if not for the dozen or so people who'd stopped below to watch. Like always, his father had neglected to mention exact workings of his agenda until the last minute; a fact that took Gene through a clothing change and then finally, a complete change of scenery to boot. Only when Ken was wholeheartedly satisfied with Gene's balance did he allow the young man to leave and leave with a quickness he did.

Swapping out the black ensemble for a long sleeved brownish green shirt, black hakama bottoms, his greaves, mask, deep sea blue sleeveless haori and the rest of his gear hadn't taken long. It was the walking over solid terrain after hours of practice on sharp wood that troubled the young man; apparently, his body was not as sturdy as he would have liked to believe. In an honest effort to find some kind of cure to the pain assaulting his feet Gene wandered into a local shop with all the swiftness of an Alley Cat on the prowl. Immediately upon entering though, Gene was met with Himiko who seemed focused on something that he could not see. The thought had crossed his mind to speak to her but when he remembered the message that she'd carved out for him he decided it would be best to steer clear, at least for now. Besides, he were in no condition to duck and dodge fireballs today.

Strategically wandering through the aisles to avoid crossing directly in front of her, Gene began his search for what he'd come for. Comfort.

Himiko continued her search through the antiquities of foreign nations, looking at nearly every article of clothing or object of memorabilia in her way. It was interesting to how different regions of the world differentiated, but honestly the girl certainly didn't have the funds to purchase any of them even if she wanted to. Window shopping was probably all that she was limited to until migrating towards the food court. She at least had the funds to get her grub on! But as she migrated passed a sculpture of some deity she had never heard of, a certain individual with white hair caught her glance. It was brief and almost made her assume she was seeing things. Though she didn't actively search for what she thought she saw, her vision kept picking up on his snow-colored locks and a mask that screamed familiarity.

Shifting towards a different aisle so that she could approach from another angle, her brow furrowed with frustration. Yeah...it was him. Was he following her too? Honestly she doubted it. As big as the village might have been, it was still a relatively small place. Anyone was bound to see the same person from time to time. Especially when visiting one of the busier regions of the Leaf Village. As she watched, the girl couldn't help but notice a few things that seemed off about the man: the way his body move, muscles flexed, and over all demeanor seemed much different from their encounter in the woods. Was he tired? Giving it no mind for now, Himiko approached that man with her hands on her hips. "Appreciate the escort last time. I'll be make sure to return the favor sometime." Her tone was one filled with annoyance. She had thought she had gotten over the frustrations of that instance in the woods. Funny how seeing a face again can make the blood pressure rise.

Of course she could go into full interrogation mode by questioning his motives, why he simply observed a confrontation between two shinobi, etc. Hell, part of her wanted to skip the talk battle and simply punch him square in the fact. But she didn't. Not only was that ill advised in a legal sense, the man wasn't worth her time. Yet, here she was, partially doing just what she thought she didn't need to. It was a strange contradiction that Himiko couldn't help herself with. Why was she even entertaining the thought of amusing the man's time?

Mental Reflections, New Connections

Gene had wandered over to a display of soft cotton fabrics, foot cushions that could be placed over the soles of the sandals in order to make walking or running less stressful on the feet. He were just about to grab two pair from the rack when Himiko's voice met his ears, the scorn present in her tone like daggers. How was it he wondered, that every time he went out of his way to try and avoid someone they ended up finding him? Not that he didn't mind her company but Gene hardly had the energy to field off her verbal lashing today. Plucking the cotton inserts from the rack and motioning toward the clerk Gene then turned his gaze to Himiko, meeting her own turbulent stare with one of his own lackadaisical expressions. "Yeah, sorry about that." He stated sincerely, "I got a little sidetracked back then. You look like you're doing well though, no more encounters in the woods I hope?" The second part of his sentiment had been uttered with a satirical tone but Gene's eyes flashed with a certain intensity around the subject then glossed over again as the clerk rounded about the stand and priced his items.

As the girl peppered him down with her sharp tone, it seemed all Gene was interested in was buying inserts for his sandals. For someone who seemed so young, she just didn't quite get a good grasp as to why he would need them. Was his foot dexterity really that bad? Did he already have fallen arches? If so, that possibly was on him. Probably needed to do a bit more training barefoot. "You shouldn't get the cloth ones," she said pretty simply as she instead grabbed one higher up on the shelf. It was one obviously engineered and more contoured to actually supporting the foot via a nice combination of carefully carved wood and a fabric covering for comfort. "If you're looking for some support, I'd go with these. My dad swore by them when he was still able to walk." Of course, she didn't know what the male needed them for. But somethings were well worth spending the extra coin on. If anything, the clerk agreed with her but that just as possibly could be due to them being almost double the value of the ones the man had previously selected.

"I haven't seen him since luckily," was the girl's only reply. "I don't really know him well enough to know where he lived in the compound so I don't know if he ran away or what. It's almost like he just disappeared. That or he knows how far my Byakugan can see and is staying out of my sight if at all possible." Himiko shrugged her shoulders softly. Though the thought of being stalked concerned her, the male's lack of presence gave her hope that he might have hightailed it out of Konohagakure. If he had, elder Hyuuga and the ANBU would take care of it from there. The Byakugan was precious to the clan. It would be priority number one to track it down and either retrieve or destroy those white eyes. Better than letting them fall potentially into wrong hands. "How bout you, been leaving any girls alone in the woods lately?" Her tone there was hot like a heated dagger stabbed right into the gut. She wasn't happy about that "sidetracking," and would need a greater apology than the little one the man gave her.

Mental Reflections, New Connections

At her suggestion Gene quirked a brow, paused as if in thought and finally conceded. Nodding silently in agreement to the clerk who watched the exchanged with clasped hands, he made haste to prepare the extra coin required not just to purchase the newly selected cushions but those he'd picked out as well. In and of itself, it was a negligible act that seemed only to serve the purpose of lining the store keeps pockets with the snowy-haired young man's hard earned riches but the neatly bundled gesture was wrapped in more layers than anyone could fathom. A smile played across the young man's concealed lips as the store clerk counted out each coin and remained through the puzzled expression. "Your generosity is deeply appreciated," said the shop owner with a formal bow. Gene would have waved the display off and dismissed the formality outright if he hadn't been grilled countless times in the past about why such gestures were important; such formalities though kind and well meant, made him very uncomfortable.

With the items now bagged and rightfully his, Gene wasted little time in trying out the inserts that Himiko had recommended. Immediately he could feel the pain ease from his feet and couldn't help but release a sigh of relief. While the bruising done to the soles of his feet still ached at least the supportive soles served to lessen his discomfort. "I can see why he would, " Gene remarked in response to Himiko's comment about her father. "There's definitely a positive difference compared to not having them. I could probably stand on my feet for days on end now." Far from an exaggeration, despite the soreness that had yet to go away Gene really did feel as though he didn't need to for quite some time. Gene was beginning to understand more and more about Himiko as a person, deciding then that he'd be willing to overlook her teasing since most of what she'd done did seem to come from a genuine place. However, his expression hardened if only for a moment when Himiko went on to mention how she hadn't run into the other Hyuuga from before.

Suppose it were a good thing that the man had made himself scarce after such a ill-fated encounter but the idea that he seemed to completely fall off the grid within even the Hyuuga compound concerned him. More troublesome was that Gene did not know who he could voice such concerns to as the matter seemed small enough to remain an internal affair but to his knowledge, the clan had yet to select an official leader whom could oversee this kind of incident with the care it may have needed. On the other hand, Himiko didn't seem all that worried about the situation so he supposed...for the time being, it wasn't worth dampening the mood over. Speaking of mood, the young man all but turned his head up sideways when Himiko mentioned him abandoning her. Truthfully, it hadn't been his intention but hearing it put so plainly certainly did fluster him quite a bit. "Hey come on now! Gimme a break will ya'?" Slouching his shoulders the young man sighed then smiled. "Look, how about I treat you to brunch as a way to make up for leaving you hanging back there? It's the least I could do." Granted, he had absolutely no idea how his wallet would hold up to Himiko's appetite...

Mental Reflections, New Connections

It was rather interesting that Gene went ahead and purchased both sets of the shoe supports. Was he simply boasting the fact he had money? Or was it just a back-up in case her suggestion was wrong? Himiko blinked lightly as she took in the action and the kind bowing of the shop keep. At least the Jounin seemed appreciative of the supports and how they felt upon his feet. Maybe he could walk around without looking like he had a stick up his ass now? Though, she had to admit, it was a rather humorous sight to see. She had no idea what he must have done to result in such a strange gait and probably didn't even want to find out.

The little jab at their last encounter earned a reaction she didn't expect. He asked her out? The Hyuuga could feel her ears growing a slight warmth out of embarrassment. Of course, the first time she had really ever been asked out to a meal by a specimen of the opposite sex, it was someone who she was still slightly angered at. He had left her in her lonesome out in the woods...but here she was nodding her head in a 'yes.' It was something she couldn't believe she even would agree to. "Fine, but I get to pick the place. Just follow me," was her simple acknowledgement.

Luckily for Gene, Himiko didn't exactly have the most expensive of pallets. Her heritage as a Hyuuga didn't mean squat as led the male to a small little hole in the wall restaurant just outside the confines of the marketplace. The place had a certain sketchiness to it. The drop ceiling tiles certainly appeared to need a replacement and the few tables that decorated the business seemed like they hadn't seen any customers in some time. But it definitely was not one of those places were you should judge a book by its cover. Once the chef behind the bar noticed the girl walk in, he instantly lit up into an almost overly welcome exclamation. "Himiko-chan! Such a pleasure to see you again. Odd to see you without your father. Does he know you're hanging out with boys?"

The girl blushed once again and waved passed such an idea. "Not at all Ganzo. This is Gene. He's making up for how he treated me the other day. Two of the usual, please." The chef nodded his head and retreated into the back to fetch the supplies he needed while the two took their seats. "This place might not look like much, but Ganzo makes the best omurice in town. Father and I usually try to come here at least once a week. It gets him out of the house and socializing with others." The man never was quite the same after he lost his leg on a mission. Truly, it took quite a bit to get him to open up. Luckily, Ganzo's omurice was often a ticket to getting him to open back up and act like himself, even if it was just for a meal.

Mental Reflections, New Connections

Post by Legacy » Sun Jan 06, 2019 4:54 pm

A wave of relief washed over the young man when his proposal had been accepted. Though...for the life of him, Gene wasn't sure exactly why he felt so relaxed. Deciding it best not to dwell on the thought, he nodded in agreement to her statement and took his place alongside Himiko as she led the way to where they'd be dining for the evening. One thing that Gene noticed during their journey was just how much the village had prospered compared to the state that it'd been in four years ago; there were new buildings just about everywhere he looked, roads and bridges were pristine as ever and most notable of all were the amount of people who seemed genuinely happy with their lives. He thought of all the Shinobi that had worked so hard to restore the village to its former glory, no---to a state much better than what it used to be, and smiled. Sensei...You should be here to see what the village has become. I'm sure you'd be able to find your happiness if only you'd just returned home. Under lord Nanadaime's leadership everyone is prospering...truly, there are some amazing Shinobi here now. Even the Awai clan have begun sprouting new leaves capable of changing the future... Gene's lips tensed underneath his mask, his smile fading as if to be a fleeting summer wind.

Though he had tried to put the thought out of his mind Gene couldn't help but remember his mother. While there were numerous Shinobi who were alive and well making great contributions to the village there was also the countless who had given their lives for the luxuries he and many others now could say they enjoyed. In his mind, those were the true heroes to be appreciated and perhaps the most contributing of all having paid the ultimate price for their loyalty and dedication to the village. Gene hadn't realized that he'd spaced out until the voice of Himiko snapped him out of his own head; at some point in their traveling the walking had stopped but...it wasn't just that, they'd arrived to their destination. "Pleasure to meet you," Gene chimed in to the chef before the man had retreated off. It was a delayed response for sure but one was better than none, right? Following suit Gene took up a seat across from Himiko and made himself as comfortable as he could while debating whether or not to remove his mask. Since they were about to eat he knew that he'd have to do it anyway but for some reason Gene just couldn't bring himself to decide on the matter outright. Ultimately, he turned to Himiko for a distraction which she welcomely offered in the form of conversation.

"You and your old man sound like you have a healthy relationship with one another. I-- Gene was caught off guard. He realized that he couldn't talk about the bond shared with his parents. For as long as he could remember they'd always trained him on what it meant to be a Shinobi and his way of living pretty much revolved around the concept of duty, responsibility and discipline. Most of what he knew about being social came from others, people like Taiga who seemed to have no problem being outspoken with others. Ironically, Himiko had made Gene realize that outside of what he knew about his profession...he really didn't have much of a homely bond with his parents. "I think that's pretty cool. There was a deep sincerity in the young man's tone, "It's funny though, before I'd become a ninja I used to work in a place just like this called the Konoholic on the Northwest side of town, real rowdy place honestly...and a headache. But the atmosphere was unlike anything I've ever experienced and maybe when I'm retired from being a ninja I might ask the shop keep if he'll let me have a crack at running the place." Gene confessed openly.

Himiko smiled softly as the masked-dawning male complimented the relationship she had with her father. It was rather nice, but it wasn't easy to get to. She was too young to really remember her father in his prime. She was only five when the accident happened on his mission and his quality of life diminished drastically after that. "We try. Family is important to us. I guess that happens when you live in a large family compound surrounded by your relatives. Its something a lot of people take for granted. After Father lost his leg, not many really jumped at the chance to help us and simply left us to fend for ourselves. My mother works long hours at the hospital so it was really up to my two older brothers to raise and take care of us. It was only after I graduated from the Academy that I took over the care-taking for my father just so my siblings could enjoy the life they had otherwise sacrificed for us. It was only recently that Father told me I needed to start pursuing my own ninja career. It is kind of embarrassing to be a seventeen year old Genin...but I'm hoping to take the exam soon."

With a light shrug of her shoulders, the girl quieted down to let Gene have his turn with the conversation. It was not something she had ever thought about doing, but working in a rough establishment could have its perks. Running a dive bar might not be someone's ideal dream job but she wasn't going oppose it. Honestly, as long as it brought the male happiness, that's all that anyone could ask for. At least he had established a dream. Himiko personally hadn't thought too far into the future. All she had ever wanted was to become a strong shinobi worthy of making her family proud. But it was such an open ended that she really couldn't even say when she would accomplish that task, let alone decide what to do after reaching that allusive destination. "Go for it," she smiled softly. "It might be more enjoyable now that you have that ninja training on your hand. What might have been a headache then might be a piece of cake now."

Just after she said that, Ganzo made his way over to the table with a beautiful plate of omelette rice. It was a large bubble of egg laid out atop a bed of bacon fried rice. Once he set it down on the table, he took a very sharp knife to cut through the top layer of egg to allow the contents to ooze downwards and submerge every grain in its goodness. Topping it off with a nice savory sauce, he bowed his head and told the two to enjoy. Himiko didn't need to be told twice as she used her utensils to scoop up a small bite, blow off the excess heat, and practically melt at the assault of wondrous flavors. "So good...." she moaned out, truly enjoying her meal. It was no wonder she and her father enjoyed coming here. The chef was excellent and the food practically spoke for itself.

Mental Reflections, New Connections

Post by Legacy » Sun Jan 06, 2019 7:56 pm

As any parent would, thought Gene after Himiko had spoken of how her Father urged her forward in what could only be a promising Shinobi career. Admittedly, Gene had come to respect the girl first and foremost for the tremendous amount of potential that she'd shown when faced with a trying situation but now...he admired her for being strong not just for her own sake, but for her family as well. Although he could not truly relate to her in many large ways, Gene found comfort in knowing that in all the ways that mattered they were the same. Whilst he valued the bond shared with his Father and his loyalties to the village overall, she valued the bonds shared with her clan---specifically the ties formed within her immediate household. They both had something worth fighting for in the end and for that reason, Gene believed that he could put his life in her hands out in the field even if she were just a Genin now. "I think you would make a fine Chunin," Gene stated after a long while. Long after the conversation had passed and Ganzo returned with their meal.

Gene did find it funny that Himiko thought of her age as some sort of measure to be considered as far as rankings went, though. Granted, he'd become a specialist and more well before seventeen; Gene never once thought of his age playing a factor in any of those decisions, it was about how much work he put in and the skills he brought to the table. With no outstanding Kekkei Genkai or other unique qualities he'd literally had to work his ass off to get where he was, something that even to this day Gene remained proud of. Of course...if Himiko had known that at one point Gene was among the laziest, unmotivated ninja ever to come out of the academy maybe she might have changed her outlook a little. The thought had crossed his mind to tell her but he immediately dismissed the idea in favor of better judgement. After all, she'd already been left with one poor impression of him and he didn't want to strike out twice in a row.

The young man did realize something else about himself though. For all of his skills on ninja missions and tasks that otherwise demanded swift and precise action, his communication skills were...rocky at best. Putting on a calm and relaxed posture the youth was actually pretty uncomfortable if he were being honest with himself. He realized that he didn't know just how to be social, to be 'casual'. Even if he were doing a good job of it at the moment the young man couldn't help but point this flaw out to himself and once he did, he couldn't unregister it from his brain. So while Himiko dug in he simply leaned back in the booth, closed his eyes for a second and took a deep breath. Bringing something else to his attention as well...

Himiko dug into the savory meal with a simple spoon, gradually raising small bites to her mouth - mostly due to the meal's temperature. Ganzo always plated the omelette straight from the skillet, folding it over the rice. Because of that, it was always hot. But that was what made it great. The eggs were just barely cooked, creating a wondrous molten flavor that was felt with every bite. As much as she wanted to shove the entire thing into her mouth and consume it like it was going out of style, she appreciated not having a burnt tongue. But as she ate, the girl couldn't help but glance up once or twice noticing that Gene was kind of just sitting there in his own little world. His eyes were closed and no discernible expression spread across his mask-concealed face. Part of her wondered if he was even going to take that mask off. Had it been her that offered a meal, she might even feel a bit guilty. She knew how some ninja were and wanted to keep their identity a secret as much as possible. Then again, he was sitting across from a Hyuuga. If she wanted to find out his identity, it wouldn't be hard for her to do that in the slightest.

When he finally made a comment about the omurice, all she could do was nod. "Trust, it tastes better than it smells." That was mostly a test to see if the male actually was going to eat it. She strongly hoped that Ganzo's eggsellent cooking wouldn't be going to waste. She might talk a big game, but she doubted she would eat both servings and still have the energy to function the rest of the day. She wasn't an Akimichi after all! If only she could eat lots of calories and not have it affect her. Wouldn't that just be divine?! Hell, she was already feeling full after only eating about a half.

Sliding the plate away just to let some of the food digest in her gut, Himiko centered her focus back on the other sitting across from her. "So, what's your story?" she asked, mostly wanting to get him to try and open up and communicate. He was certainly the silent and mysterious type. Or maybe she was just too much of an open book? She certainly felt that he knew hell of a lot more about her than she knew about him. Hell, she didn't even know what he actually looked like. It was almost like she was blind dating herself.

Mental Reflections, New Connections

Post by Legacy » Sun Jan 06, 2019 11:22 pm

'After some time he opened his eyes, calmer now than he'd been a moment ago. Whether or not his acquired peace was a result of self collection or the smell of the food in front of him Gene couldn't say but much like with most of his concerns that'd given rise today, he decided not to question it. He DID question the bizarre appearance of Himiko's order, though. It might have smelled delicious but as far as presentation went...Gene wasn't sure if it were safe. Seldom did he eat anything other than fruits and an assortment of vegetables rich with nutrients essential to his body. This was because his parents hardly ever deviated from the diet plan that they themselves lived by during their ninja careers and when Gene had finally aged up, saving up enough money move out and live on his own he'd merely stuck to the same diet plan out of convenience and familiarity. At the most he'd eaten rice and Sushi wrapped in roasted seaweed as alternatives and even that was rare. Conversely, if he were going to eat a meal that hadn't been made by himself then Gene made it a point to do a number of thorough checks in order to ensure that the food weren't tampered with or poisoned in some way. However, being that this was a social affair he didn't exactly have that luxury. Gene knew that Himiko had been staring him down; analyzing him, that much was just human nature. Anything calumnious would be remembered and anything remembered could be used against him in some way....Do I really want to go through with this? He thought, staring down the wholesome plate as though he were preparing for an interrogation.

His eyes flicked back to Himiko who again chimed in with the perfect cue, more conversation. Good. Bad! She wanted to know about his past---what could he say? What should he say? Gene knew that after his promotion to Chunin a large portion of his history for...reasons, became classified. There was little that he could openly speak about without running the risk of compromising one thing or another. Still, he had to tell her something at least! "There's not much of a story to tell, honestly. I graduated at age twelve, took my Chunin exam three years later and--" he paused, "Out of necessity became a specialist to sure up the village's defenses against foreign and domestic threats." Gene had purposely left out the fact that he'd fought numerous spirit beasts on more than one occasion, hunted down missing-ninja and journeyed to quite a few countries to boot. Those were details he felt, best left out of casual conversation. He'd also omitted the fact that he once oversaw several groups of genin and flunked them miserably for one reason or another. Given that Himiko herself was a Genin, no good could have come from establishing himself as an authoritative figure at the moment.

In all honesty, Gene missed his Genin days. Things were easier back then and even though Taiga gave him a headache he could have said without a doubt that the two were at least capable of setting aside their differences for the greater good. Times were different now though. Raising his left hand up toward his face, Gene gave a soft tug on the cloth fabric that covered his face and pulled it down revealing the rest of his features. Incidentally, the young man was what many would have considered handsome despite parading around the village with his face hidden. Blessing his food, Gene eventually caved and took to the omelette with the utensils provided. Remaining silent in order to eat and listen to Himiko. Hearing her talk about herself seemed much more interesting frankly.
