War event iwa vs suna the battle over the land holy city

Hachihime was leading a army of iwa ninja and samurai to take back the land of the holy city of towers after there previous defeat against suna. They were traveling underground to limit detection. Occasionally they would rest to recover chakra as well as switch out ninja who were doing the tunneling. Hachihime was very nervous she couldn’t afford to mess this up and disappoint her mother. She would try to think of other things to take her mind off it.

Eventually they reached towers territory there sensory ninja would be on high alert for any signs of activity or anything that would give away signs the enemy knew they were there. If there was any sign at all of anyone noticed they would quickly drag them underground and silence then continue on. They continued tunneling until they reached the area where the the troops where stationed in the big tower.

They then started to surround the area once everyone was in position they would suddenly all pop out from underground. They had to act quickly and would start taking out any enemies that weren’t stationed in the tower. Meanwhile A few scouts along with some samurai would be sent to investigate the tower and try and figure out as much info as they could about the interior. They would stay in close communication with the main force from the moment they entered the tower.

There was a long bow stretched across his back. Hardly an offensive position for him to be in, but Suchimaru wasn't really on the offensive. It had been several months since Sunagakure had taken control of the Holy City of Towers, and all was quiet on the western front as they would say. He'd been relatively relaxed sitting at this post. The weather in this land was luxurious compared to wind country, the lack of sand, the sweeping trees. What a delight. So often he was on tower duty back home and he was forced to hide and find relief from the sun that beat down on them endlessly. Cubbies were built into the sides of the towers for archers to hide in but that limited your view and when the sun hit a certain angle....well...

But here!? Delightful. Overcast skies, a slight breeze. It was great. It was hard to even pay attention when you could relax so easily. He honestly just wanted to nap. But, he was the lead guard, he couldn't do that. With a heavy sigh, Suchimaru would turn from his post and walk several strides away. Running a hand through his sloppy black hair, he waved to the guard across the way. It was in this moment that Suchimaru would notice the panic in the mans face. The towers in this city were well designed, spacious enough to really give the city some beauty. But that meant it was hard to hear across them, Suchimaru just had excellent eye sight as many archers do.

The man on the other tower would signal something, just as another would throw open the hatch for the post. He would rush to Suchimaru and mutter something in his ear.

"THEY'RE UNDERGROUND!?", Suchimaru would exclaim. The other men in the tower would jump to their feet at the shout. Clamoring to look over the edge of the tower to see nothing but still ground.

"The seismograph!", he said suddenly. It all made sense. THey had set up a seismograph to tell when troops were marching. But if they were underground it would go off excessively.

Nocking a single arrow as he swiftly pulled his bow, he would run the tip of the arrow against the ground and immediately shoot it into the sky as it ignited. It would burst into an array of blue sparks, and the archers on the other towers would rush to their posts. It was time for WAR

The sensors would notice the strange activity above ground forcing them to change tactics they would shout “they know were here!” ! before the blue arrow went up. They would start rapidly dragging the troups that weren’t in the towers underground and eliminating them. Then would quickly pop out of the ground shortly after the blue sparks hit the sky. The battle had begun hachihime would take a small group of scouts, ninja and samurai to deal with the tower that shot the arrow into the sky.

While the others dealt with the remaining forces. Hachihime would pop up next to the towers entrance from under ground. Then send in the scouts before entering herself. She would look around for the enemy commander leaving the rest to the forces that she brought with her. During this time she wondered how they figured out they were underground.

It was certainly surprising she just hoped that she could still finish the mission now that they couldn’t surround them or take them out all at once. She really really didn’t want to disappoint her mother and used that fear to try and motivate herself to do better.

As the troops would pop up and into visibility, the tower archers would unleash a flurry of arrows. With no troops on the ground, those who exposed themselves would find nothing to grab onto, and an arrow through their skull. Easy pickings. Suchimaru watch dutifully, when he heard a bit of clamor below them. Something was happening in the tower! Lifting the hatch, he'd peak through it to see what was going on. People were inside the building already!? impossible Suchimaru had thought, it made no sense to him how the enemy troops would be able to conduct such a complex and difficult clandestine assault without any possible opportunity for them to respond. And to think that Wind Country would be so foolish as to simply allow people to enter the tower with no sort of defense set up.

Except they weren't! The towers were great for archery, but they were also great for something else! Killing. Closing the hatch, Suchimaru would smile and perform a handsign the shinobi had taught him. Within the tower that Hachihime and her troops had miraculously arrived in with no chance for rebuttal, one tag would go off, then 3, then 6, then 10, then 20. 20 tags in total would release an enormous burst of fire that would circle through the tower. The raw flames enough to flambé anyone within. Just below the top of the tower, the flames would be expelled through small vents, but within the tower the fires raged on.

Suchimaru would places his hands on his waist, content. Simple problems called for simple solutions.

Hachihime would be quickly running up the stairs of the tower when a bomb went off taking out the advanced guard. She would quickly activate her, armor of the masses jutsu to have her swarm create a shield of chakra. Sync 50 she would then use it to protect herself and two other ninja while the samurai would try making shield domes using there ki to enhance the shields similar to ki saber. Sadly lots of the samurai were un capable of this and some ninja had no feasible way of protecting themselves in time from the massive attack. As well as options strong enough to protect themselves. This reduced there total forces inside the tower by half.

Now there total numbers were limited to hachihime and two other ninja has well as 5 samurai. Hachihime would give the signal to try to climb once everyone was ready hoping they could reach there forces before they tried anything else. She would try to use the shield to climb higher while they had the element of surprise. While the samurai moved in shield dome formation. As they climbed the two ninjas and hachihime would advance first carefully looking for more traps along the way.
