[Graded]Necessary Relaxation

It was later on in the day, the fights for the day having wrapped up by now and the sun itself beginning to set, Yoshiko finding herself wandering the streets of the Starfall Festival, gently smiling as she looked around at the sights and listened to the sounds. Friends playing, small kids dragging their parents by the hand while screaming about one thing or another, even shinobi from different countries chatting and celebrating in camaraderie. It had been decided that it might be a good idea to drag her out of the village to have fun and escape from her stresses for a while and so far she could at the very least say that she felt very much at ease, not at all minding the strange looks that she was getting likely due to her wings nor even minding the crowds. An event like this was a rare moment of true peace, even despite the bloody tournament, and she was truly happy that she was getting to witness it firsthand.

After walking a while she came across a small cliffside clearing, a bench set up to enjoy the view of the festival down below, and decided to take a seat, munching on a piece of takoyaki she had purchased on her way up as she looked down at all the people down below. While the sights and sounds of the festival were very pleasant from within the event itself, there was something truly marvelous about witnessing it up from above. Really the only thing that could have made it better was if she had someone with her to enjoy it but for now she was content.

Though that wasn't to say she would be entirely opposed to having company. And really, with so many different kinds of people around who knew what would happen.

As rumors and whispers flew on pretty wings and dry, cracked lips to her ears, Hiraku Suzume had come to realize where half of her father's power had truly come from. Information was intoxicating, even more so when you found yourself knowing things before others and being able to use that to one's advantage. Given her parentage, Suzume had an interest in all things Iwa, and even heard the rumors after a Jounin had been rescued by their cohorts. It had been a rather juicy rumor, slavers pissing off a country that paid them well, Suzume had savored the information. As she walked through the the streets for the festival, she was almost giddy when she saw a jacket pass her by with the Iwa Village symbol on it. Even more so when she saw the face to whom the jacket belonged. She couldn't help a bit of a smirk as she kept her distance, waiting until the woman sat down to make her own move.

She wore her typical ensemble, backless and showing off her tattoo as she slid into place on the bench beside Yoshiko. "Glad to see you survived your ordeal in one piece." she said quietly, her takegasa ringing with the little bells on it as she turned her head slightly to look at Yoshiko out of the corner of her eyes briefly. "Sometimes having access to any information that can be carried by rumor is a curse, to hear of your trials and be unable to act. I'm glad your village chose to after all. All too often shinobi are abandoned by those they protect." Suzume reached up a hand to remove her hat, knowing that with it on she couldn't look at the woman beside her fully without discomfort. She set it beside her, leaning against the bench, as she turned and fixed her yellow eyes on the woman intently. She knew she was in no bingo book, Iwa did not even know she existed, and somehow it made introducing herself all the more fun. "I am Hiraku Suzume, a samurai of Iron Country originally and I pedal information out of Dragon Country now... I'm sorry to startle you, I simply wanted to meet you when I recognized you from my reports I received."

Yoshiko was so absorbed in watching the festival down below that she didn't even notice someone joining her on the bench, until that someone spoke to her, the woman tensing up for the briefest of moments, calming down once she realized she wasn't in any danger. Jeez, she had promised that she would be more careful and pay attention to her surroundings so things like that didn't happen. She turned her head in the direction that the voice had come from, blinking as she took in the sight of a girl around her own age, a cute girl at that, her strange yellow eyes seeming to suit her fairly well.

She was so taken in by the girl's appearance that it took a moment to register the girl's name, as well as the fact that she seemed to know about the incident with the slavers. "I'm Kamizuru Yoshiko, though I should guess you may know that as well." she spoke, her tone a bit more harsh than she may have intended, the woman slapping her cheeks upon realization.

Ah, get it together Yoshiko." Why was she suddenly so on edge? Maybe she was just nervous or maybe it was something about the way the girl spoke that set her on edge but regardless she knew she had to apologize.

"Ah, I'm sorry to sound so harsh. I guess I hadn't realized that rumors could spread so widely and so quickly as well. Regardless, thank you for your concern about it all, it really helps a lot just to know that even distant strangers are concerned for me. Also, despite my earlier actions, it's a pleasure to meet you." she said, giving Suzume a bit of an awkward smile, her wings behind her fluttering gently.

She seems like a nice enough girl, though I do have to wonder... Why does the name Hiraku sound so familiar?

In truth Suzume was startled as the woman slapped herself, but she barely showed it in more than just a raised eyebrow. She reached out a hand to gently touch Yoshiko's wrist and guide her hand away from her face. "Please, don't damage yourself further. You've had a rough go of things, I'd hate for self-harm to be on that list too. I've faced captors as well, albeit for a much shorter time than you did." she said, hoping to bring the woman a bit of comfort as well. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well. Rumors do fly fast but I admit I have people in many different places that bring me any information they think I might find valuable." Suzume touched the ring on her finger with the Chishiki symbol briefly as she continued to explain. "I run an organization that prides itself on information gathering and, when the time is right, sale. Situations like yours I always hate learning about simply because there is nothing I can do to help. I do not have the man power to mount a rescue, and likely a village knows before I do and so I cannot alert them either."

Of course she didn't tell her that the information was useless to her as well, unless the person was of a particular talent in which case she might mount a rescue in an attempt to gain information on the ability the person carried. Though she truly didn't have that kind of manpower... yet. "But you are safe now! And that is good news. I didn't expect to see you here, I'm glad my informants though have proven their worth, their descriptions of you were on point." She smiled oddly, glancing around as for a brief moment she wondered if Yozei was about. But her eyes returned to Yoshiko. "How is the festival treating you?"

Yoshiko, though admittedly surprised as Suzume tried to comfort her, simply gave her another awkward smile. "Ah, sorry... bad habit." she said with a bit of a blush.

From there she silently listened to Suzume speak, a small smile on her face all the while, though she did raise a brow as the girl looked around for a brief moment, though it wasn't long before the girl returned her attention to her and posed a simple question.

"It's been pretty fun so far. A couple friends brought me out here thinking it would be a good opportunity to have fun and relax and so far I think they were right. I feel at ease with myself and for once I've been able to focus on other things." Yoshiko responded with a smile, finding it surprisingly easy to open up to Suzume even despite the tension that she initially felt and to some small degree still felt. She felt it was a bit strange that someone so young would have informants and much less lead an organization focusing on the gathering and selling of information but from talks she had heard from her fellow captives during her period of captivity, life outside of the villages seemed to be very rough, leading to some taking drastic measures. Well, it also could be that the girl simply had a healthy mind, which was a very good thing.

A moment of silence passed, Yoshiko wondering how to continue the conversation when suddenly she had an idea. Something had caught her eye on the way up but she had largely ignored it for various reasons. Now however... it seemed like a good opportunity to pay it a visit.

"Say... I apologize if this is presumptuous of me but I passed by a small bar on the way up here. Would you like to get a drink or two with me?"

Suzume was glad to see that so far, she didn't seem to be pushing things too much. Approaching Yoshiko had been a curiosity, an experiment even. She was surprised so far that she had not received any questions about her name, or her father. Rather Yoshiko seemed completely okay with her presence, despite the amount of knowledge Suzume had hinted at having about her. 'I wonder then? If she is so comfortable with me knowing of her? How much would she tell me? Will her guard be down completely?' she thought to herself, smiling as Yoshiko invited her for drinks.

"I would love to." Suzume replied, reaching over and giving Yoshiko's hand a light squeeze before standing and holding out a hand in a silent offer to help her up as well. 'Father's life with mother began in Iron Country at a similar event... interesting...' Of course the young woman kept her thoughts to herself, all too happy to let Yoshiko lead the way down to the small bar.

Of course Yoshiko's guard wasn't down entirely, it never was these days, but nonetheless she took the hand that Suzume offered to her and stood up with the girl's help. Still though, why did she feel so tense? She was comfortable enough around this girl to be talking fairly freely and even to have invited her to go drinking with her but why was there a nagging feeling in the back of her mind that this could possibly be a bad idea? And why did she have the strangest feeling it had something to do with the girl's family name, Hiraku...

Well, really there was a pretty good chance she was just being paranoid so she pushed it down and led the way away from the bench and towards the bar she had seen, the pair very quickly arriving at their destination. It really wasn't much, the building itself being small indeed as well as fairly simplistic in outward appearance.

She led the way inside and made her way to the countertop, grinning as she took a seat on a stool, spinning to face Suzume, a small smile on her face all the while. "I'm really glad you came with me. I wanted to come in earlier but I made a promise. I don't really remember it but apparently last time I drank unsupervised, things happened. Apparently I caused a pretty bad scene so I made a promise that I would only drink with someone there to keep me in check, just in case. This is actually my first drink since then so I'm honestly kind of nervous and a bit scared." she said with a sheepish smile. Sure she had been non-hesitant in giving the invite but now that they were here she was kind of beginning to have second thoughts... What if something went wrong? What if things happened out of her control?

Once Yoshiko was on her feet, Suzume bent down to retrieve her hat before following the other woman. She didn't bother to put the hat on, simply holding it at her side as they walked in relative quiet. She followed her inside, smiling still as she glanced around at the little place. "Cute." she mused as she took a seat beside Yoshiko at the bar itself and listened to what she said. "I'm almost afraid to ask, but don't worry I won't let things go too far." she assured her, touching her arm gently before turning to order herself a drink.

Knowing what she knew now about Yoshiko's last drinking experience, Suzume ordered herself some sake she had had before. She didn't want her new companion to think she was leaving herself out by not getting a real drink, but also wanted to keep her own faculties in tact. The sake would be nice and sweet, but none too heavy and leave plenty of room for Suzume to keep her wits about her. "So tell me about yourself, Yoshiko." she finally said, her arms folded on the bar as she waited on her drink. "All I really know about you are your hardships and that you're from Iwa. I'd love to hear about you."

After a moment's contemplation, Yoshiko ordered the same as Suzume, not wanting to go too heavy just yet. Perhaps a bit later she would go heavier but for now she figured it would be best to pace herself. "I'm not sure what there really is to say about myself." she chewed on her bottom lip a moment as she contemplated what exactly there was to tell Suzume without revealing too much.

It was at this point while she was in thought on what to talk about that several bees came crawling out of the sleeve of her jacket and onto her shoulder, the girl smiling at the sight. This was the first time any of them had actually come out during the festival. "Hello little ones, haven't seen you since we arrived." she said to the group, still smiling as she turned back towards Suzume. Ah, every member of my clan has a hive of bees that we call our own and this is just a small part of my own." she explained, realizing that Suzume may not quite understand what was going on.

With the group of bees resting on her shoulder, she turned in her seat to face towards the bar, tapping her fingers against the wooden surface as she once more fell into thought. "Honestly there's not a lot to talk about regarding myself. Umm, well due to a need to distract myself for some time after the incident, I've gained a few new hobbies. I've lately come to enjoy reading, oh and I've been trying out sweet making. I also have a love for helping people and that translates to the battlefield where I mostly play a support role rather than fighting upfront." she paused, trying to think of if there was any more she could really think of to say in the moment.

"I'm sorry, I'm sure there's more but a lot has changed for me and there have been a lot of adjustments to make so this is kind of difficult for me right now." she finally admitted after a moment's silence, resisting the urge to sigh.

"So what can you tell me about yourself?"

Suzume took a sip of her sake once it arrived, looking at Yoshiko in surprise as she saw the appearance of the bees. "My goodness... I don't think I've seen such a thing before. I've heard rumors of people with such abilities, but never seen it first hand. If I... I mean, may I?" She reached out a hand forward, waiting to see if perhaps a bee might land on her, longing to observe its behavior. She wasn't allergic and so she wasn't worried about a sting, though of course she had no idea of what abilities the bee might hold. She was simply intrigued and wanted to see what she could see.

"You're fine." she told Yoshiko as nerves seemed to set in. "Getting back into a routine at home is hard enough, getting used to talking to strangers is much harder." she admitted, sighing to herself as Yoshiko asked her about her. "Honestly not much to say about me... I was born at an orphange, and raised there, in Iron Country. There were always rumors that my parents were shinobi from some village or other but honestly I've started thinking its just a rumor I let go to my head. As a child I used to dream of being whisked away. When I was twelve my father showed up and whisked me away... a criminal who ran the organization I run now. I'm afraid it's really not that interesting of a story." She carefully walked the line between saying nothing and answering Yoshiko's question, sipping her sake for a break.

Yoshiko silently listened to Suzume as she answered her question and spoke about herself, though she couldn't help but raise a brow at the way that the girl had chosen to answer her question. "I can't even imagine what it's like to grow up not knowing your family at all." she said with a sad smile, feeling a painful ache in her chest as her brother's face flashed through her mind. She really couldn't dare to begin thinking of what life would have been like had she not known him. It was honestly painful to think about... And working past that... there was the mention that her father had been a criminal. Somehow she felt as if she maybe knew who she was referring to but she just couldn't recall. She was just for sure positive at this point that there was something significant about the name Hiraku... and that for some reason it brought chills down her spine.

Suddenly feeling a need to distract herself, she took a big swig of sake, only to start coughing almost immediately. "Ugh, too fast, too much." she panted, taking a deep breath as she suddenly remembered that Suzume had made a request of her.

Oh right, you're free to have a look at my swarm. I'm sorry, I got distracted. I get like that a lot these days." she suddenly said, a wordless tug of a single finger being all it took for a few of the bees to fly off her shoulder and onto Suzume's hand this simple motion seeming to be all it took for the swarm to understand their master's intentions. "We've been together since I was a child. They understand me just as I understand them." she said, a nostalgic smile on her face as she held out a finger, one of her bees crawling off her shoulder and onto said finger. "These guys are like family to me, and in some ways they're the most precious thing I have of the time I had with my brother."

Suzume of course couldn't help a giggle as Yoshiko admitted to drinking too much and too fast. It was entertaining to see the woman try to take a swig of the drink as if she was consuming a sugary soda, rather than sake. Suzume wondered if that was exactly what had happened, that perhaps she had forgotten just what she was drinking for a moment and instinct took over. But her giggles soon died down as Yoshiko gave her permission to see her swarm and Suzume watched with interest as a few of the bees flew onto her hand. She moved the hand closer to her own face to get a better look at them, smiling. "This is just fascinating." she admitted, smiling as she turned her hand this way and that to get a good look. "I almost wish I could take one home to examine, but I would never dream of asking such a favor of you." she said, though of course that was almost a complete lie. She would ask the favor of her, if asking directly was the way to go. But Suzume had learned from her father that such indirect statements would yield her answers without hostility. So if the answer was no, the person she was asking would answer without getting defensive whereas if Suzume asked directly it was more likely to set someone on high alert than anything else.

Suzume couldn't help a tilt of the head though as Yoshiko mentioned a brother. "You have a brother?" she asked carefully. "Closest thing I ever had to siblings at the orphanage were the other kids, and the boys loved to try and pick on me because I was small... it was a good thing the place doubled as a dojo or I might have gotten in more trouble for the amount of times I left boys with broken arms or sore balls." she admitted, laughing. Though as she calmed she asked a question she feared might be sensitive. "What is your brother like?"

Yoshiko looked at Suzume sadly as she asked of her brother, unsure of whether she should nod or shake her head in response to the girl's question. "I guess you hadn't heard that part, huh? Yeah, I have a twin brother." she spoke, taking a deep breath. "I loved him so very much. He was headstrong and largely bound by duty and loyalty to his village, though I was always his first priority. He wasn't just my brother but was also my very best friend." she began, pausing to collect herself before continuing. "We were on a mission together when the slavers ambushed us, aiming for me. He did his best to protect me but.. but... they..." Despite her best attempts she couldn't bring herself to choke out those last few words, simply looking down into her cup, blinking away tears and suddenly wishing that she had ordered something a bit stronger.

"They, you know..." she said quietly after several moments of potentially awkward silence, silently hoping the girl would understand what she was trying to say since she couldn't bring herself to actually say it.

Who knew that even just merely talking about this could be so hard...

"Oh." Suzume legitimately felt guilty for bringing up the subject as she saw Yoshiko struggle to explain herself. She reached over and put a hand over Yoshiko's giving it a light squeeze. "It's okay, you don't have to explain." she told her, trying to reassure her. "I'm very sorry to bring it up, I didn't know that part." In the back of her mind she made a mental note to check and see who source was on the information. Though she was pretty much using this as a test of source, she couldn't have innaccurate information, nor could she have information with major gaps like this. It just wouldn't do. If it were her father she mildly wondered how he would punish the informant in question, and also wondered how she should best deal with it.

Suzume poured a cup of her sake and held it out in front of her in a toast. "To your brother." she said, a sad smile on her face as she waited for Yoshiko to mimic her, if she did she would touch the glasses together before downing hers.

Yoshiko couldn't help the tears that came to her eyes as she refilled her own cup and rose her glass, mimicking Suzume's actions. "Yeah, to my brother." she said, downing her drink once the glasses had been touched together.

Time slowly passed in silence as they drank, Yoshiko at some point having moved onto a drink that was a bit heavier, feeling that she was pacing herself well enough so far.

"You know, on several occasions since that day it's felt almost like I haven't been living myself, like I've just kind of been going through the motions. I really am grateful to my friends and family for putting up with me but sometimes I wonder if I'm just a burden." she suddenly said with a sigh, silently wondering why she was going so far as to speak about even this. Perhaps she was just an open book or perhaps she was just bad with alcohol and the sake was already beginning to get to her.

"Bah, I'm sorry. Surely you don't want to hear my whining. I'm just feeling emotional and maybe a little bit tipsy right now." she suddenly said, her face lighting up as she suddenly seemed to recall something. "Though actually, I do seem to remember someone once telling me I wasn't good with alcohol. Oopsie." she added with a hiccup.

Maybe she really was beginning to get a bit drunk, though with that in mind, just how much farther could she really go? At this point she just hoped she wouldn't pass out or anything.

Suzume kept to her same drink as the night wore on, even nursing the same bottle so as to make sure she didn't overdo it. She frowned however as Yoshiko referred to herself as a burden and she shook her head. "Your brother did what brothers do. They protect their sisters. No matter what that means." she told her, reaching over and putting a hand on the woman's shoulder. "You were twins you said, right? It could be hard for your family, you two probably share a lot of similarities. But now that he's gone, you live for two. Figure out what you want to do with your life and pursue it, pursue your dream, because that is how you honor him and how you show your family that he's still alive in you." She ran her hand across Yoshiko's shoulder and down her back, attempting to comfort her.

"My parents are gone now, I have no one left. But I know so long as I live, their memories live in me. That's why I stepped up to run my father's organization, it began as his dream, but I will make it my dream. I will make it profitable, and prosperous, knowing he's proud of me wherever he is." She was careful not to specify her father was dead, for in Suzume's mind even after seeing what remained of him after his ritual, there was no proof. He was dead, or he was in an alternate reality where he had gone back in time and changed everything. Perhaps even they were a family now, it was a silent hope she clung to.

It took Yoshiko some amount of control not to start bawling as Suzume attempted to comfort her, the girl's words and actions hitting harder than she may have known. "You might be right, it's just so hard." Yoshiko said in response to Suzume's encouragement and comfort, looking straight ahead over the bar, tightly gripping the glass she had in hand. She knew better than anyone that she couldn't mope around forever. That wouldn't be fair to anyone.. not her, not her parents, not Kizami and Saori, and absolutely not her beloved brother. She needed to move forward but how? What could she do with her life?

Eventually she let out a sigh, downing the rest of her current glass. "You know, I don't even know where to start. I only just started getting my life back in order. Thinking about what comes next is a surprisingly difficult thing. I do want to be able to live for both our sakes, I really do but right now I just don't know how." she said, reaching towards her bottle and refilling her glass, taking just a quick swig before setting it back down on the table.

"In a way I envy you, how you seem so put together despite your hardships and know exactly what it is that you need to do and how you want to do it."

Suzume smiled almost sadly as Yoshiko spoke as if she had her life figured out. "I wish I was that put together." she admitted, shaking her head. "Honestly most days I'm lost myself. I never met my mother, but I have her journal so I get to read bits about her life here and there. My father is gone, though dead or no, even I don't know. I feel less like I have my life together, and more like I'm just finding things to do to keep me busy until I finally figure it out." she looked over at Yoshiko a moment, briefly tempted to see how much like her father she could be. But as her thoughts strayed to such things, her mind strayed quickly to night spent with Yozei maybe two days prior.

Clearing her throat, Suzume poured herself another drink and sipped at it carefully, thinking. "All I can really tell you is to live your life, that is enough to honor your brother. The only time you aren't is if you give up. I think its safe to assume he'd rather you simply live. No matter what that life is, living and working towards your dreams is enough."

Yoshiko had to admit, she felt more than a little bad about making assumptions as she had, she had just spoken as she had felt without considering what her words had really meant. And yet the girl still seemed to be working to try and help her, that fact making her happier than anything. Still though... "Sorry about making assumptions. I should have realized you were still going through hard times based on previous statements." She felt obligated to apologize primarily because of that happiness that she felt.

"Just live life, huh? I wonder if it's really as easy as all that." She muttered under her breath once Suzume had finished speaking, looking up towards the ceiling as if it may have the answers she was looking for. "I know you're right." she said, looking back towards Suzume, a sudden smile on her face as a thought came to mind. "Who knows, maybe it would be easier to just live as I pleased out in the wilderness." she said with a slight chuckle, though just as quickly as it had came to her she seemed to get embarrassed, facing away with her cheeks having begun to turn a bright red.

"Not that I could bring myself to do something like that. I could never ever ever."

For a moment Suzume wished she could tempt her. She sounded almost on the verge of leaving just for the sake of living in the wilderness, but Suzume knew her reasons would have to be far stronger than that to do so. Her father had taught her as much. Suzume chuckled and shook her head. "You live in one of the big five." she mused. "Running away to the wilderness gets you branded a criminal right? Unless you're ranked high enough of course." She chuckled a bit and sipped on her sake a bit more.

"You have a place to stay here tonight? If you have too much to drink I need to know where to take you to don't I?" she couldn't help a bit of a laugh at the thought. In truth she didn't want to have to babysit the girl if she got too wasted, but she seemed to have set herself up for it at some point. "I've heard some say that the villages are oppressive. Others say they are safe... what would you say though?"

"Ahh, one of the friends I came with set up rooms for us in a nearby inn. Apparently the owner's pretty nice despite being a former mercenary." she responded to Suzume's question regarding where she planned to stay, pausing to think a moment on her latter question. Of course she had her own thoughts on the matter but she didn't entirely know how to say it, nor did she really know how much she could really say.

"Well, I'm not exactly sure how to answer that but if I had to give a good guess... It depends on your exact definition of oppression I think. Of course we're given plenty of freedoms and the kage and council work day in and day out to keep us all safe within the village walls, but at times it can seem as if we're not just allowed to live our lives, as if we have to live according to a rigid set of guidelines. Even something as simple as being late to return from a mission can at times get you branded as a runaway, a criminal. Of course I haven't personally known such a thing to happen but I have heard stories of it, and I would be lying if I said it wasn't incredibly frustrating to think about." she said after a moment's thought, silently wondering if she was saying too much, as if the wrong person might be listening. Though more importantly... why was she saying so much to this girl? Maybe the alcohol was really getting to her even more or perhapsit was due to how nice she had been to her already, she felt as if she could share more of her personal thoughts and feelings.

Regardless, one thing was certain...

"I love my home and it's people, I really do with all my heart. I just... it's hard, especially with all that's happened. At times I've even found myself having thoughts that I really shouldn't talk about. Not until I get everything straight in my head"

Suzume nodded as she was told where this woman was saying, though she wasn't being very specific. Thankfully Suzume had checked with one of her father's sources before coming here and had a general idea of each available inn and who owned them. There were two options that came to mind as Yoshiko spoke, but one of them was a woman which immediately narrowed the options down to one, the woman only housed men after all. "I think I know which one you mean." she mentioned, falling quiet as she went on to explain her own views of the village. "Come on, you've had a fair amount, let's get you back there." she said at first, standing and offering Yoshiko a hand to help her along as she fully expected the alcohol to hit Yoshiko the moment she tried to stand.

"What's happened that you need to get your head straight?" Suzume asked curiously as she walked alongside the woman after paying their tab. "Other than your capture and brother of course... did something happen with the village?"

"Yeah okay, I don't think I can take much more anyways." Yoshiko said in response to Suzume's remark, at first attempting to stand up on her own but soon relenting and taking Suzume's hand. "Shit! Everything got all spinny and I felt sick for a second." she said with a grimace, suddenly feeling so much worse as she got up from her seat. "Definitely didn't expect it to just hit like that. Guess I need more practice." she said, suddenly hiccuping as she followed alongside Suzume out of the building, sticking as close as possible to mitigate the risk of falling over.

As they walked, Suzume asked another question of her and she gave her a curious look a moment before tilting her head. "I wouldn't say it has anything to do with the village, really. It's just, I don't know. There's just a lot of stuff and in my state you end up thinking about a lot of weird things during your alone time. I just simply hate being alone anymore. If I'm with other people I don't usually have weird thoughts and if I don't have weird thoughts I'm just that much happier." she said, the inn where she was to be staying soon coming into view.

"Well shoot.. it was closer than I thought it would be. That's a shame."

Suzume couldn't help a laugh as Yoshiko stumbled, doing her best to keep the other woman steady. As the pair walked she looped her arm in with Yoshiko's to keep her steady still as they made their way back to the inn that Yoshiko was staying in, a small smirk firmly planted on Suzume's lips as they went. She was already thinking about the way she'd part from the woman beside her, and couldn't help feeling a little amused already. She politely nodded as Yoshiko did her best to explain, she could see where the woman was coming from.

"Well if you ever do walk away, you can find me pretty easily." she remarked, pausing at the woman's door. "There's two ways to find me... some have taken to calling me 'The Oni's Daughter'. You could always ask under that name." She lifted her head and looked at Yoshiko a moment. "Or ask around for Hiraku Kenji's daughter." she added, knowing that was a name the woman would likely recognize. "Have a goodnight, dearie. Get some rest." she told her, turning and walking away, leaving Yoshiko to mull over the name's she'd left behind. "If you happen upon your Tsuchikage, I have a deal I'd like to make with him." she called back over her shoulder as she made her way into the night.

Yoshiko simply froze in place at the mention of the name that Suzume gave her, the gears in her head slowly working to figure out the connection, the woman letting out an audible gasp at the realization. "THAT Hiraku Kenji?" she muttered to herself, some part of her in disbelief despite knowing there was no other answer. It had to have been the very same. It was no wonder she had felt something was a bit strange with the situation. Of course the girl would have the informants to know about her circumstances if her father was that man.

Still though... despite now realizing just what kind of person she may be dealing with, some part of her wanted to see Suzume again, for some reason now more than she had even just mere moments ago. Was such charm and wit something the girl had inherited from her father or was it something all her own? She was curious to find out.. and besides, the girl had been so nice to her when she really didn't have to be. Of course there was the chance that she had had an ulterior motive the entire time but did she care?

As she headed into the building still mulling things over in her head, one thing soon became clear.

No, she really didn't care. There was something about Suzume that just grabbed her attention and for that, she desperately hoped to one day see her again.

Maybe, just maybe I'll soon find the answers I'm looking for. About what I should do... and how I should do it.
