Physical Features:
  • Face/head: Moriko has icy blue eyes and long strawberry blonde hair that she constantly has held up in a wild ponytail with a spiked scrunchy.
  • Body: Very petite in stature, Moriko’s body is covered in lean, toned muscle from years of training.
Clothing/Accessories: Morkio’s clothing is fairly minimal, a brown crop top with a dark red raised collar on top and tight fit black pants on the bottom that allow for freedom of movement. On her hands she wears a pair of dark red gloves, each with a set of spiked knuckles. A pair of greaves cover her shins and the tops of her feet with small spikes on the top of the foot as well. To complete her look she wears a pair of slim orange knee-high toeless socks that matched the long orange scarf wrapped around her neck. She has a medium-sized equipment pouch on her rear hip.
Personality: Moriko has a very peppy and bubbly personality often seeming to have just a little too much energy for the given situation. Outgoing by nature, Moriko will talk to just about anyone, though her lack of social awareness at times can occasionally lead to her making inappropriate or insensitive comments at rather inopportune times. Being the youngest of seven, it is not uncommon for Moriko to find ways to distinguish herself from others as she fears the idea of fading into the background, much like her siblings had done by becoming “just another worker” in their family business. Though she had essentially been pampered her entire life by her rich parents, it is not something that she often talks about or takes pride in, though evidence of such an upbringing becomes evident when she has trouble relating to people who have had a less than pleasant upbringing.

When she sets her mind on something, Moriko will pursue it with aggressive persistence as evidenced by the way she tracked down the monk that had saved her family and hounded him until he agreed to train her. After watching the monk take down a band of thieves with ease, Moriki discovered two things: 1) her purpose in life was to protect others, and 2) she really wanted to learn to fight. When she began her martial arts training, she also discovered that she had a talent for it. Using a mix of close and mid-range techniques while in combat, she will often combine her varied talents into a style of fighting that focuses less on singular powerful strikes and instead on creating openings to land multiple blows. Though she has never killed before, and deep down isn’t sure if she could, her competitive nature makes her see each fight as a challenge and she enters every fight with the explicit intention of winning, even if the odds are against her.

Passive (Cutting)Show
Fuuton has a natural cutting property to it, that exists in all jutsu unless otherwise stated. This gives fuuton a unique opportunity to strike with additional power, and to act as an offensive defense. Regardless of their purpose, fuuton jutsu passively cut with no distinct pattern at 1/2 the strength of the technique rounded down unless otherwise stated. This means if someone punched a 20 strength fuuton wall, they would get cuts on their hand applied with 10 strength. This also means that fuuton jutsu specifically designated to cut things can create devastating wound by essentially striking twice.
Elemental Ninjutsu: Advanced Channeling:
This user has superb chakra control, and has learned to perform jutsu by channeling, without the use of hand seals. The user can channel any elemental Ninjutsu that is designed to be channel, and there are no specified parameters in which a jutsu must fall to be channeled by this method.

Channeling fuuton chakra into one of their legs, the user of this technique will crouch low before swinging the leg forward, releasing a 5 meter horizontal arc of wind toward a target of their choice. Upon impact this arc exerts strong push back force, potentially knocking a target off balance.

Channeling fuuton chakra into one of their hands, will punch towards a target, expelling a basket ball sized ball of wind from their fist. This ball of wind travels up to 10m at [Control] speed, and explodes with [Control] Strength on contact with solid matter or at the end of its range.

Utilizing their gymnastic capabilities, the user has become adept at dodging incoming strikes through the use of various gymnastic maneuvers (i.e back bends, cartwheels, flips, etc).

The user has attuned their hearing to subconsciously listen for the sound of things moving through the air and alert them when picked up. The user has attuned their sight to allow them to see people/objects etc. that are in their peripheral vision in full detail as if they were looking directly at them, even in the midst of battle, essentially widening their field of vision. Kūgāpou Taijutsu:
This taijutsu style is all about avoidance, with grace. In this style, the user may slap away blades, thrown weapons, and other objects, all in the interests of preserving one's self. However, this style isn't necessarily about avoiding all damage, so much as avoiding the worst damage. In instances where the user is going against an opponent they can't match, they may use this style to avoid fatal injuries and instead receive less serious injuries and live to fight a bit longer, or even another day.

*Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Soft Paws is a bare-handed deflection technique and is used against bladed weapons. At this level, the practitioner is able to read the angles of the attacks to place the flat of their hand against the flat of the blade and push it away without getting cut by the weapon. However, prolonged use of this technique will cause the practitioner to suffer bruises on their hands.

D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
After using Soft Paws to slap a blade away, the practitioner will continue moving forwards while jutting out their elbow. The momentum from the target's original attack that was slapped away, coupled with the sudden defenselessness of the target after having their attack deflected, makes for a powerful counter-attack. The elbow can be aimed anywhere on the torso and above, but is usually aimed at the target's face.

*Kūgāpou • Down Paw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the practitioner, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This can either cause the sword to miss or, if the practitioner's Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack, can force the sword into the ground. This technique only works on blades that aren't double-edged.

*Kūgāpou • Down Rush
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Down Paw
After using Down Paw to drive the opponent’s blade downward or into the ground, the practitioner will rush forward and ram their shoulder into the opponent, driving them back and away from their weapon or even taking the weapon from them outright.

Born to a large merchant family of Iwagakure, Moriko grew up never truly wanting for any material thing. Her parents, too busy to give her any personal attention due to their work, often showered her with gifts in place of love. Being the youngest of 7, this left her to be raised mostly by her siblings who often left her to her own devices. Though her needs were being met, Moriko found this life...boring and unfulfilling even at a very young age.

When she was 7 years old, while returning from a village on the outskirts of rock country, Moriko’s family’s caravan was attacked by a heavily armed group of bandits. Moriko and her siblings watched as several of their armed mercenaries were killed due to the sheer numbers against them and when one of the bandits turned his blade towards them, a figure suddenly intervened and began single handedly dispatching each of the bandits until the rest fled in fear. Moriko was in awe as she watched him fight, using nothing but his bare hands against several armed foes and beating them with ease. When the commotion had calmed, and order somewhat restored, her family learned that the man had once trained as a monk at a temple in Northern Rock Country before venturing out on his own and eventually settling in Iwagakure to raise his family. He had been on his way home from a trip when he saw the commotion and decided to intervene. Moriko’s father offered to pay the man for his actions, even hire him to provide personal security for them in the future, but the man politely declined, though he agreed to travel with them to Iwagakure.

After they returned home, Moriko couldn’t get the incident out of her head, her mind constantly returning to the man and the ease with which he took down several heavily armed opponents. In an odd way it had awakened something in her and for the first time in her life she felt driven towards a goal: she wanted to learn to fight. It wasn’t long before she had tracked the man down within Iwagakure and pleaded with him to teach her how to fight like him and after several weeks of constant visits and pleading, he finally lamented. He had been about to start training his own daughter anyways so it would be good for her to have a sparring partner. After about a year of training, Moriko came to realize just how much she enjoyed fighting and surprisingly enough she had actually become quite skilled at it for her age.

When she was 8 years old, Moriko enrolled in the Academy. She expanded on the techniques that she had learned from her mentor while continuing to train with him to refine her skills. She quickly became one of the top hand to hand fighters in her class despite her small size and by the time she was 12, she had graduated from the academy. While the rest of her siblings had elected to forgo any further actions as a shinobi and instead take up positions in their family’s merchant business, Moriko decided to pursue the shinobi life as a career, feeling it to be her calling in life.
