This was Itachi Kisama's first mission as Cell Leader for Battosai. He had been promoted to Harubushi recently, a noble milestone in his short samurai career, and Battosai matched the rank up with their own set of responsibilities for Itachi. He was to become the Suzaku of Battosai, a Cell Leader. He would be in charge of teams of samurai and essentially acting as the captain's arms in the field. He would control the samurai of Battosai with a firm hand, and guide them to peace. Itachi took his role very seriously.
The Cell Leader was only with one samurai for this mission. It was expected to be a relatively safe one, and it was a mission only Battosai could accomplish. Recently one of the samurai of Battosai had been killed in action. Her body was nowhere to be found. She had been drowned in a river by Shinobi. It was a monumental loss for Heart, and Battosai, but times would press on. Now it was up to Itachi and Jirou to secure a candidate for the position of Seiryu. When the samurai was killed it opened up several positions, and this one had to be filled. Battosai couldn't operate without 4 Cell Leaders. Seiryu was the position that held second in command in the squadron, next to Mushoku. It was imperative that this mission went well.
Traveling by horse back, Itachi and Jirou galloped through the dirt roads of Waterfall. They had to make fast time, and had given their horses performance enhancing Fuuinjutsu. The team behind Battosai had come up with the formula and Itachi was skilled enough to employ it on the road. They zoomed through the roads, heading for Kitakawa.
Kitakawa was a small village that was dependant on it's fishing community for commodities and business. It was a relatively unknown village in Waterfall, and it's Shogun had been faithful to the Grand Shogun of Heart in recent times. Itachi and Jirou were expected to experience smooth sailing in Kitakawa. They were looking for a samurai to join Battosai, a well known samurai by the enamel of Ichiro Takeda.
While this Ichiro had never been trained by the military of heart, he excelled in Ninjutsu and grasped a masterful tact with Kenjutsu. Ichiro was well known among samurai in Heart for his skill, and deeper than that, Ichiro was fabled to have rubbed elbows with the Pirate King of Black Wake, Kaisui. Ichiro had a reputation that preceeded him, and a lot was riding on this mission. It was up to Itachi and Jirou to convince Ichiro to work as a dog of the state.
While it was true Battosai operated outside of the law, they were still publicly known to be state funded homeland security. Itachi wondered how well that would go over with a pirate. He was almost forced to reflect on the monologue that had brought his peace seeking hands into the gloves that were Battosai. Not quite though. Itachi had a lot of confidence in himself and he believed he could convince Ichiro based on respect alone. Often when someone became as noble and well respected as Ichiro, Itachi found that upfrontness was the most direct path to collaboration.
Jirou was there primarily to back Itachi up in the event Ichiro lashed out at him. He was muscle, and he was big muscle. Itachi was glad to be galloping with a Tea-born Kisama. Since meeting at the Scallop and Nabe, Itachi and Jirou had only seen each other in passing at the base of Battosai, Botan Shrine. They hadn't talked much, but they weren't going to do that on the road either. They rode in silence, only discussing the absolutely important necessities.
Eventually, Itachi and Jirou arrived at Kitakawa and dismounted their horses. They tied the equines up to a post and released the Fuuinjutsu. It had been taxing on Itachi to force two seals to work at once, but he was more than capable of it. Itachi had a strong chakra sources, even if it wasn't the largest. The two Kisama walked around the village, asking around for Ichiro.
After talking to a few people who knew where the samurai was, Itachi and Jirou were put on the lead for Ichiro. They trekked through the village, making their way to where Ichiro Takeda was.

*Charge Fuuinjutsu • Air Seal
D-Rank Fuuinjutsu
A truly unique move in that it can be used alongside other Fuuinjutsu, by channeling into their finger as they draw in the air directly in front of them, the user releases raw chakra the lingers for a small amount of time, allowing it to be used as a seal formula. Alternatively the user can also do hand seals and place their hands forward, causing a seal to burst to life in the air in front of them. This technique consumes chakra equal to the cost of the technique.
(400/400)
*Fuuinjutsu • Removal
