Genin ClothingShow Hatsuyuki, or Hatsu as most know him, completely plays up his clan's natural androgyny. He will often dress and style himself in a very feminine way, even going to far as to wear dresses and skirts. However, no matter how he is portraying himself for the day, he is always geared up for battle. His most common outfit is black leggings, with black combat boots, and a black turtle neck bodysuit that has the capability of covering his nose and mouth. He most often layers this with a cream-colored sweater, of an light blue haori. If he is dressing as a boy for the day he will usually wear a pair of loose fitting shorts over his leggings, or, on the days he is dressing as a girl, he will wear a skirt that stops just below his knees. In either case, he always wears a black pouch on each thigh to store various weapons, or other tools. Unlike some of his cousins, Hatsuyuki has eyes reminiscent of volcanic glass that contrast well with his porcelain skin. Depending on how he is dressing, whether as a boy or a girl, he will style his hair accordingly. When he is dressing as a girl he wears his hair down, using his headband as more of a decorative headband than a piece of gear. However, when he dresses as a boy, he wears his headband properly and uses the excess fabric to keep his hair pulled back into a high pony-tail. Chuunin ClothingShow His first layer of clothing exists solely as a plain deep black colored top, untextured and coarse, marked more as a tight shirt than anything. It appears to be made of a single piece of cloth, woven by a master with no increments of stitching or signs of thread used upon the piece. Said shirt hangs loosely from his figure, which he tucks into the umanori or divided hakama. This umanori, tied snugly at the waist with a navy piece of silk, is still different from the average ninja's. Each leg flutters down to the ankle, just where Hatsu's boots poke from beneath. Along the path to the foot, the umanori are split in eight places around the calf, each split is used to better circulate air to the wearer. As articles of clothing go, the rest of Hatsuyuki's ensemble is simple. Over the black-shirt is a simple vest, the brunt of which is pure white; however, along the neckline and the stitches are a ice blue inlay giving a more regal appearance. Hatsu's boots cover his calf muscles entirely, stopping just below his knees, and expose not only his toes, but most of his feet as there is only two straps holding the sole to his feet in order to allow full, unrestrained, movement. Hatsu wears a pitch black Haori that only connects in front of his abdomen, exposing his chest. His haori has a hood that is deep enough to keep his entire head hidden from view without restricting his eyesight. From time to time Hatsu will wear his Hirohito ring, but only when not on a mission. Hatsuyuki’s hair is kept in a long braid down the center of his back. He has the Hirohito family insignia tattooed on the underside of his tongue. Special Jounin ClothesShow Special Jounin Clothes: Jounin Clothing: | Hatsuyuki is a dedicated shinobi known for his unwavering commitment and precision. When collaborating with others, he communicates with remarkable clarity and brevity, ensuring that his instructions and feedback are easily understood and effectively executed. His efficiency in team settings is a testament to his disciplined nature and strategic mind. Outside of missions, Hatsuyuki's demeanor shifts significantly. He becomes markedly stoic, often perceived as aloof or even anti-social. This preference for solitude stems not from disdain for others but from a deep introspection and a need for personal space. He finds solace in the quiet moments, where he can reflect and maintain his mental and emotional equilibrium. Despite his reserved nature, those who take the time to understand him recognize a profound depth and a fierce loyalty that define his character. In battle, Hatsuyuki taps into the darker facets of his personality, channeling a controlled bloodlust that sharpens his effectiveness in the art of war. This ruthless efficiency is in stark contrast to his everyday demeanor, where he reveals a much softer side. Off the battlefield, Hatsuyuki is gentle and affectionate, often found doting on kittens and exhibiting a sweetness that endears him to those around him. This duality extends beyond his demeanor to his personal identity. Hatsuyuki has embraced his sexuality with confidence and pride, no longer concealing his appreciation for feminine things. He finds joy in dressing as a woman on occasion, celebrating this aspect of himself without shame. His openness about his preferences reflects his broader acceptance of his identity. Hatsuyuki is attracted to both women and men, though he has a stronger preference for women. This complex blend of warrior ferocity and tender-heartedness, combined with his self-assured embrace of his sexuality, makes him a uniquely multifaceted individual. One constant in Hatsuyuki's life is his unwavering passion for training and self-improvement. This dedication is a cornerstone of his existence, driving him to devote an impressive ninety percent of his time to rigorous study and practice. Whether he is mastering a new sword technique, delving into the mysteries of Ancient Runes, or honing his innate Hyouton affinity, Hatsuyuki approaches each discipline with relentless enthusiasm and determination. His thirst for knowledge is insatiable. Hatsuyuki eagerly absorbs information from a wide array of sources, constantly seeking to expand his understanding and enhance his skills. This intellectual curiosity is not limited to his physical abilities as a shinobi; he applies the same fervor to all aspects of his life, believing that any new insight or skill can contribute to his personal growth. This relentless pursuit of excellence has earned Hatsuyuki a reputation as a formidable warrior and a brilliant scholar. His peers often marvel at his ability to seamlessly integrate new techniques and knowledge into his repertoire, making him an ever-evolving force to be reckoned with. Hatsuyuki's commitment to continuous improvement is not merely a professional obligation but a deeply ingrained part of his identity, reflecting his belief that the journey of learning and self-discovery is a lifelong endeavor. |

Technique Information
Suijin KenjutsuShow
Suijin Kenjutsu:Suijin ♦ RaindropHatsuyuki, a shinobi from Kirigakure, has pioneered a unique taijutsu style known as Suijin Kenjutsu. Unlike traditional forms, which often emphasize rigid techniques, Suijin Kenjutsu revolves around fluidity, adaptability, and precise movements. Inspired by the relentless power of water, practitioners of this style emulate its dynamic nature in combat.
Suijin Kenjutsu revolves around continuous, seamless movements that maintain constant pressure on opponents, akin to the relentless flow of a river. Each strike is executed with meticulous precision, aiming for vital points to maximize effectiveness. This adaptability allows practitioners to effortlessly transition between offense and defense, reacting fluidly to the evolving dynamics of battle.
Deeply rooted in the natural world, Suijin Kenjutsu reflects Hatsuyuki's profound connection to water's fluid, adaptive, and potent qualities. This philosophy enhances both the physical techniques and mental clarity of its practitioners, fostering harmony and efficiency in combat. Hatsuyuki's creation of Suijin Kenjutsu has made its practitioners formidable fighters, adept at seamlessly integrating traditional swordplay with versatile hand-to-hand combat techniques, embodying the unpredictable and relentless spirit of Kirigakure.
Required Concentrations: [Sword Weapons], [Advanced Channeling], [Deft Hands], [Suiton]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Raindrop is a foundational technique in Suijin Kenjutsu, inspired by the serene moment of a single raindrop falling from a clear sky. Embodying complete relaxation and focus, the practitioner swiftly draws their blade and executes a precise downward thrust. This technique is typically aimed at the vulnerable hollow between the collarbone, exploiting the opponent's unguarded moment with swift and calculated efficiency.
Suijin ♦ Shifting Waterflow
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Shifting Waterflow appears deceptively simple in theory but demands precision in practice. This defensive technique enables the user to deflect an incoming attack and potentially disarm their opponent without relinquishing their weapon. When targeted by an attack, the user employs either their palm or the back of their hand to redirect the opponent's arm inward, then downward, and finally outward away from themselves. Simultaneously, the user may twist the opponent's wrist, aiming to force them to release their weapon.
Suijin ♦ Calm Before The Storm
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Perception]
Suijin emphasizes fluidity and adaptability, guiding its practitioners to embody the tranquility of a clear pond—calm yet poised for change. In the Calm Before The Storm stance, the practitioner enhances their Perception, enabling them to anticipate and respond swiftly to visible incoming attacks with heightened agility, akin to gaining a +3 bonus to their [Speed] attribute. However, this heightened reaction speed comes with a trade-off. The first strike made after utilizing this stance is executed with a -3 penalty to the user's [Strength] attribute, reflecting the momentary focus on speed over power. Visually, the practitioner maintains a composed and focused demeanor, their gaze subtly intense with heightened Perception. Their breathing remains steady and controlled, embodying the calm surface of the pond. The sword arm is positioned gracefully, ready to draw the blade swiftly yet with precision from its sheathed position.
Suijin ♦ Shifting Rain
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Shifting Rain is a fundamental technique of Suijin Kenjutsu, highlighting the style's emphasis on fluidity and adaptability. By channeling chakra into their blade, the user coats it in a dynamic layer of water. This flowing water layer allows the user to alter the direction of an incoming physical attack when defending, effectively redirecting it. By utilizing this technique, the user leverages their [Control] stat instead of their [Strength] stat when blocking physical attacks, demonstrating the power of precise, fluid movements over brute force.
Suijin ♦ Tempest Blade
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Tempest Blade embodies the fury of a stormy sea within the precise strikes of Suijin Kenjutsu. The practitioner channels chakra through their blade, creating arcs of water that resemble crashing waves with each swing. These arcs of water enhance the cutting power of the blade, slicing through defenses with the force and unpredictability of a tempest. This technique is particularly effective in close combat, where its dynamic fluidity can overwhelm opponents and exploit their vulnerabilities. The projectile is three feet long, and four inches at it's widest point, and tapers off towards the ends of the crescent shape. The blade moves with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the user's [Control]. These blades can travel up to [Control] meters before breaking apart.
Suijin ♦ River's Current
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
River's Current simulates the relentless flow of a river within the practitioner's movements. With each strike and parry, the practitioner maintains a steady, flowing motion that mirrors the currents of a river. This technique allows them to maintain continuous pressure on opponents, gradually wearing down their defenses with a series of fluid and controlled attacks. After each successful strike, the next strike is considered to be made with +1 Strength to a maximum of +3.
Suijin ♦ Ocean's Embrace
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Ocean's Embrace embodies the vastness and unpredictability of the ocean within the practitioner's stance and technique. By adopting a wide, sweeping stance and fluid movements reminiscent of ocean waves, the practitioner enhances the [Speed] of their attacks by +5, however, the [Strength] of their attacks is reduced by -5. This stance allows for rapid, flowing attacks, akin to navigating the ebbs and flows of the ocean's currents. It emphasizes the practitioner's adaptability and ability to harness the power of water in combat, maintaining a dynamic balance between offense and defense.
Suijin ♦ Riptide Grip
C-Rank NinTaijutsu Maneuver
Riptide Grip harnesses the forceful pull of an ocean's riptide within the practitioner's movements. When an opponent's attack is deflected, the practitioner uses their free hand to grasp the opponent's wrist. Simultaneously, they ram their shoulder into the opponent's solar plexus, channeling chakra to generate a wall of water that erupts from their shoulder. This wall of water pushes the opponent backward with a [Strength] equal to the user's [Control], while the user's grip pulls the opponent in the opposite direction. If the practitioner's [Strength] is 5 or more points higher than the opponent's [Endurance], this maneuver can dislocate or even remove the opponent's arm. This technique requires precise timing and control, making it a powerful tool for close-quarters combat.
Suijin ♦ Floodgate Sweep
C-Rank NinTaijutsu Maneuver
Floodgate Sweep channels the overwhelming force of opening floodgates into a single, powerful motion. The practitioner crouches low and swings their blade in a wide arc at the opponent's legs. This sweep is designed to knock the opponent off their feet with the sheer force of the swing. By simultaneously channeling chakra into the blade, a burst of water pressure is generated upon contact, increasing the impact and making it difficult for the opponent to maintain their balance. The burst of water moves with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the user's [Control].
Suijin ♦ Whirlpool Grasp
C-Rank NinTaijutsu Maneuver
Whirlpool Grasp utilizes the forceful suction of a whirlpool to trap and control an opponent. The practitioner engages the opponent at close range, grappling their arm or wrist. With a swift, twisting motion, they channel chakra to create a spiraling flow of water around their hand and the area they have grabbed the target, enhancing the hold. This water flow makes it difficult for the opponent to escape and allows the practitioner to direct their movements, setting them up for a decisive strike or disarmament. The tendrils of water connecting the user and the target form at a [Speed], and have a [Strength] that is equal to the user's [Control].
Suijin ♦ Waterfall Strike
C-Rank NinTaijutsu Maneuver
Waterfall Strike embodies the overwhelming force of a waterfall crashing down. The practitioner channels chakra into their blade, imbuing it with the weight and power of falling water. As they execute a powerful, downward slash, a burst of water is released from the dull side of the blade. This burst of water adds significant force to the strike, making it capable of breaking through defenses with a [Strength] equal to the user’s [Control]. The additional water pressure ensures that the strike can overwhelm an opponent’s guard and deliver a crushing blow.
Suijin ♦ Rising Tide
C-Rank NinTaijutsu Maneuver
Rising Tide mimics the gradual, powerful lift of a rising tide. The practitioner channels chakra into their legs and blade, performing a low, upward slash. A burst of water is released from the dull side of the blade as the strike is made with a [Strength] equal to the user’s [Control]. This burst of water adds significant force to the strike, making it capable of throwing the target into the air, unless the target's [Strength] is equal to, or greater than, the user's [Control]. This technique can be used to disrupt an opponent's stance and create an opportunity for a follow-up attack while they are airborne.
Suijin ♦ Monsoon Fury
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Monsoon Fury unleashes the relentless force of a monsoon upon the battlefield. The practitioner channels chakra through their blade, creating three arcs of water that resemble crashing waves with each swing. These arcs of water enhance the cutting power of the blade, slicing through defenses with the force and unpredictability of a tempest. This technique is particularly effective in close combat, where its dynamic fluidity can overwhelm opponents and exploit their vulnerabilities. The projectiles are three inches at their widest point, and taper off towards the ends of their crescent shapes. The blades iare four inches across and move with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the user's [Control].
Suijin ♦ Torrent Spiral
B-Rank NinTaijutsu Maneuver
Torrent Spiral captures the relentless force of a powerful whirlpool. The practitioner channels chakra into their blade and spins rapidly, creating a spiraling vortex of water around them. This vortex not only deflects incoming attacks but also draws nearby opponents toward the practitioner with a strong suction force. Once drawn in, the practitioner delivers a series of rapid, spinning strikes, each enhanced by the swirling water, making it difficult for opponents to defend effectively. The vortex moves with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the user’s [Control].
Suijin ♦ Tempest Dance
A-Rank NinTaijutsu Stance
Tempest Dance mimics the unpredictable movements of a whirlwind on the battlefield. The practitioner flows seamlessly between offensive strikes and evasive maneuvers, utilizing swift and agile footwork akin to dancing in a storm. Each movement generates spiraling currents of chakra-infused water around them, creating a defensive barrier against incoming attacks. This technique capitalizes on heightened Perception to anticipate and counter opponents' movements, maintaining constant pressure with dynamic and fluid combat techniques. This technique creates 4 currents of water, each 3 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter, move around the user with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to their [Control]. The currents of water dissipate after successfully blocking an attack, or after 6 posts, whichever comes first. This is a focused technique and the user cannot use other ninjutsu while it's active.
Hyouton NinjutsuShow
~Arctic Soul
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user channels a small pulse of hyouton chakra throughout their own body, carefully reducing and controlling their internal body temperature to prevent overheating through any external means. This jutsu has no range and can only cool down the user's body to the point that it can cause first degree frostbite on contact. This technique can last for five posts.
~Ancient Wind
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user channels a thin current of cooling hyouton into the air around them, mixing and weaving it around the warmer natural air to create a localised pressure differential and natural gusting wind. This can be used to push at and deflect airbourne entities within 10 metres of the user with [Control] strength, however is believed to be one of the oldest forms of hyouton ninjutsu ever devised by the ancient Aisu, who used it in a non-combat manner to master the waves and sail the oceans at speed.
~Chilly Day
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user prepares a quantity of hyouton chakra within one of their limbs or weapons to begin this technique, and then attempts to make contact with an target. Upon striking, the hyouton will surge through the point of contact and into the target's body, shocking them with a distracting burst of intense cold and taking their breath away.
Chilled Aura
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user creates a swirling sphere of snow that expands ten meters around them, and moves with them. Those that enter this domain of snow for an entire post will begin to have snow accumulate on their body and they will begin to suffer from frostbite based on the user's [Control]. This technique lasts for 3 posts.
~Ice Senbon
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Suiton] concentration
The user will thrust a hand forward while preparing this technique, forming a set of five senbon in front of their fingertips. The senbon can be collectively fired at any time over the next three posts at [Control] speed to hit with [Control] strength.
~Frost Burst
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Holding a throwable object or weapon in one hand, the user will channel hyouton chakra into it to prepare this technique. Once thrown during the next three posts, the temperature of the item will rapidly drop until it explodes, shattering into frozen shrapnel with the force of a single tag upon impact or at a 'kai' release from the user.
~Morning Chill
D-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will inhale deeply and saturate their breath with hyouton chakra before slowly exhaling to perform this technique. As they breathe out, the area within a 15 metre radius of their body will rapidly drop in temperature to freezing conditions. This technique will freeze any natural moisture in the air or any airbourne particulates created with less [Control] and create a veil of ice that distorts vision in the area.
Hyouton - Glacial Spikes
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After forming the required hand seals, the user stomps on the ground in order to send a wave of their Hyouton chakra outwards in a circle. This chakra fills the ground 10m around the user, and, within the next 4 posts, the user is able to cause spikes of ice to erupt from the ground with a speed and strength of [Control] by performing Kai.
Hyouton - Glacial Slash
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: Suiton Concentration
By channeling their Hyouton chakra into sword, the user is able to create a crescent shaped projectile blade when the sword is swung. The projectile is three long, and four inches at it's widest point, and tapers off towards the ends of the crescent shape. The blade moves with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the user's [Control]. These blades can travel up to [Control] meters before breaking apart.
~Frozen Breath
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will prepare a quantity of hyouton chakra into their throat to begin this technique, then exhale with icy breath onto an inorganic target. Any material within the area of the breath will be rapidly chilled to the point of brittleness, weakening it by [Control] strength.
~Breath Away
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user prepares a quantity of hyouton chakra within one of their limbs or weapons to begin this technique, and then attempts to make contact with an target. Upon striking, the hyouton will surge through the point of contact and into the target's body, shocking them with a painful burst of intense cold and rapidly cooling the air within their lungs, resulting in a loss of -3 strength of the next four posts.
~Frost Fire
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user creates a circle in the air with motions of their arms or hands and unleashes a wave of prepared hyouton chakra through them at [Control] speed, attempting to intercept any katon or related techniques of equal or lesser strength. Upon making contact, the target technique will rapidly decrease in temperature to the point that it fizzles harmlessly out.
~Cryoshell
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user prepares a shell of hyouton chakra around their body, bringing the temperature of an isolated pocket of surrounding air to subzero conditions for the next five posts. So long as the user does not move faster than [Control], they will retain the frigid air shell and be able to apply its cooling effects with taijutsu strikes or to incoming strikes that have a Strength lower than [Control].
~Tundra
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will prepare a large amount of hyouton chakra and unleash it into an area of ground within 30 metres of their location at a speed of [Control]. From the point of impact, the ground will rapidly freeze and turn into an icy tundra, spreading for up to 30 x 30 metres in a direction of the user's choice during casting. Plant life within this area will wither and die, the ground will become frozen to a hardness of [Control] strength, unable to be broken except by stronger techniques, and footing will become slippery and unstable for anyone without an appropriate traversal technique of equal or higher rank.
~Frozen Water: B Class
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Suiton] concentration
After performing a Suiton jutsu, the user will channel hyouton chakra and rapidly freeze that technique. While the technique may lose it’s ability to permeate and envelope, it will become solid in quality, gaining +[Control] strength in impact force. This technique is useful for trapping in the event the suiton technique has already enveloped something.
~Freezing Corruption
B-Rank Ninjutsu
When fighting a clone, the user channel hyouton chakra before striking the clone. The air around the clone will rapidly condense, freezing the clone and permeating its artificial skin, causing the clone to burst. Any clones struck this way will be unable to explode with any force upon death.
~Blizzard
B-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will channel hyouton chakra while inhaling, and then slowly exhale. Over the course of the next post, the temperature in a 60 meter radius of the user will rapidly drop to an extreme, biting cold, able to freeze bodies of water at [Control] speed. Any beings within the area of the technique will suffer from extreme exposure, with their bodies cramping, slowing, and shivering uncontrollably. Remaining exposed in this area for consecutive posts can result in a loss of coordination and a confused state of temporary amnesia as the cold begins to suffuse the brain. Additionally, katon techniques used in this area will cost 2x as much chakra to prepare.
~Hypothermia
B-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will prepare hyouton chakra and inhale deeply. The process of breathing in will rapidly freeze their body, dropping their core body temperature to that of a corpse. Their bodies functions will come to a near complete halt, their heart beat reducing to approximately 1 beat every minute. The user will appear dead to any medic assessing them unless they have an advanced assessment technique. This allows the user to effectively pass as being deceased. After 5 hours, the users body will return to it’s proper temperature, and the user will “return to life”.
Hyouton - Snow Globe
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: Suiton Concentration
After forming the required hand seals, Hatsuyuki will gather a large amount of his Hyouton based chakra before releasing it explosively out of his body in all directions. This chakra will then solidify into a large, icy dome that stands 15ft high, and has a 60-meter diameter. The walls of the dome are 6ft thick. The dome forms at a [Speed], and has a [Strength] equal to Hatsuyuki's [Control]. Once the dome is formed, a snowstorm will begin within the dome, blowing in a clockwise vortex with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to Hatsuyuki's [Control]. The dome and snowstorm dissipate after 3 posts.
Hyouton - Whiteout
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: ~Blizzard Sensor
After forming the required hand seals, the user releases a large burst of chakra into the air around them. This causes a heavy snow storm to begin forming in a 60x60x60 meter area around the user. The user is then able to acutely sense anything the snow touches. This snow storm restricts visibility to 3 meters, and dampens all sound generated more that 3 meters away. Additionally, any beings within the area of the technique will suffer from extreme exposure, with their bodies cramping, slowing, and shivering uncontrollably. Remaining exposed in this area for consecutive posts can result in a loss of coordination and a confused state of temporary amnesia as the cold begins to suffuse the brain. Additionally, katon techniques used in this area will cost 2x as much chakra to prepare.

Sekisetsu TaijutsuShow
Developed by the Aisu and most recently popularised by Aisu Haruna, Sekisetsu was derived from watching snow flurries dance through the air. Sekisetsu involves constant swaying back and forth, while switching a bladed weapon from hand to hand, and from standard position to a dagger-like inversed grip position. Practitioners of Sekisetsu rarely stay still for longer than a few seconds during combat and are constantly surging back and forth in an attempt to find an opening in an opponents' defense. Sekisetsu can be used with a variety of weapons, but typical practioners prefer tanto, wakizashi, and/or katana.
Required Concentrations: [Sword Weapons], [Deft Hands]
*[Sekisetsu - Blade Shift]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Blade Shift is a maneuver learned after hours of training, and allows the user to switch from a standard sword grip to a downwards dagger grip, and back again, seamlessly with either hand or between hands, and even in the middle of strikes or full maneuevers. This core element of Sekisetsu converts a practitioner into a highly unpredictable and opportunistic opponent.
*[Sekisetsu - Swaying Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The most basic stance of Sekisetsu, the user of Swaying Winds sways side to side, and back and forth, mimicking the way a snow flurry moves and preventing obvious telegraphing of movements or strikes. Opponents will find it incredibly difficult to interpret or predict the user's next movements unless they have a visual perception technique of equal or higher rank.
*[Sekisetsu - Leaping Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
Prerequisite: [i]Blade Shift[/i]
The user will bring their blade upward from their hip in a wide, diagonally arcing slash, before immediately flipping the blade and slashing back down along the same path.
*[Sekisetsu - Rebuke]
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
The practitioner will use the pommel of their blade to attack their target by slamming it into them, usually aimed at weak spots on their body.
*[Sekisetsu - Ambidexterous]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Through hours of rigorous training, the user has learned to not only wield a blade in either hand, but has also learned to dual wield two blades at once in any grip position, and can adapt learned manoeuvres, stances, and disciplines to function with either or both weapons.
*[Sekisetsu - Snowblind]
D-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
Prerequisite: [color=skyblue]Hyouton[/color] concentration
The hyouton practitioner blend chakra into their mouth and then attempt to spit in their opponent's eyes, using the super-cooled saliva to temporarily blind the target and afflict the target with frostbite. They will then immediately follow-up with an upward slash to the target’s abdomen.
*[Sekisetsu - Layer of Ice]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [[color=skyblue]Hyouton[/color] concentration
The hyouton practitioner will run their finger or tongue along their blade in an intimidating fashion, while simultaneously imbuing the weapon with hyouton chakra. For the next six posts each strike of the blade will cause frostbite equal to the scaling strength of the user's [Control].
*[Sekisetsu - Shifting Blades]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Blade Shift; Ambidextrous
A staple of the Sekisetsu Kenjutsu style, Shifting Blades allows the user to swap weapons between grips, and shift them between hands while dual wielding, simultaneously without any delay, even in the middle of a strike or maneuver. The user has become so seamless and proficient in the action that this can often occur without an opponent noticing, with targets being unable to follow the switching nature of blade positions without a visual perception technique of equal or higher rank.
*[Sekisetsu - Icy Hands]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Icy Hands is a technique developed for use when cutting, and stabbing, an opponent is not an option. The user will fold their hands around the blades of their weapons, with their thumbs resting on the spine of the blades. This allows the user to utilize the hilt of their weapons as blunt maces, without cutting themselves from holding the weapon in a strange fashion. Experienced users with a [Speed] in excess of an opponent's can also use this technique to safely counter incoming strikes by grabbing the backside of a swung blade.
*[Sekisetsu - Shifting Winds]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Shifting Blades
As the wind shifts around any obstacle, so to does the user’s blades. Shifting Winds is the trained reaction of redirecting one’s own attack mid swing without losing momentum. Should the user’s Speed stat be great target’s, the target will be unable to follow the movement.
~[Sekisetsu - Deflect!]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Shifting Blades
By constantly changing the grip on their blade, the user is able to deflect a multitude of projectile weaponry with minimal effort. If the user's Strength exceeds that of the opponent, deflected weapons can instead be directed right back at the opponent to counterattack.
~[Sekisetsu - Snow Flurry]
C-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
Prerequisite: Shifting Blades; Ambidextrous
The user will bring their blades upward from their hips in a wide, arcing slash, before slashing downwards in an X formation. The user will then shift their grip to a downwards dagger grip, and will attempt to slice through the abdomen of their target in a scissoring attack.
~[Sekisetsu - Bloodletting]
B-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
Prerequisite: [Hyouton] concentration
The hyouton practitioner will cut their body in an non-lethal fashion, or channel into an existing wound, causing their chakra-infused blood to spray out in the desired direction. Anything touched by the user's blood will be super-cooled and inflict frostbite on contact equal to the scaling strength of the user's [Control].

Zantou KenjutsuShow
*[Zantou • Winter Solstice]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The basic Stance of Zantou, the practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. The low blade grants the practitioner the ability to quickly defend against an opponent's attack while the blade raised overhead allows the practitioner to either quickly attack or counterattack with a powerful downward swing or thrust. This pairing of defense and offense serves as one of the cores of Zantou's swordsmanship. Drawing in a deep breath, the practitioner also gathers up their energy and releases a kiai. This Stance allows the practitioner to ignore non-critical distractions and minor environmental factors, such as small amounts of excess heat, small amounts of excess cold, small amounts of fatigue, and even small amounts of pain, allowing them to focus entirely on their opponents' movements and the tasks at hand. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +2 increase to Strength and +1 increase to Will Power but suffers a -2 penalty to Chakra Pool and -1 penalty to Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.
*[Zantou • Winter River Flows]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The physical training and mental focus encouraged by Zantou allows for the practitioner to adapt quickly and take advantage of opportunities to attack when they present themselves in combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to alter the direction of their blade mid-cut. This can be used to work around a block, or simply to act as a powerful feint and strike all in the same motion without stopping. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.
*[Zantou • Shifting Winds]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Sekisetsu - Ambidexterous]
Complete control of the weapons one is wielding is a necessity to ensure a practitioner of Zantou is proficient in the style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to switch either one of their swords (or both, if they wish) from standard grip to reverse grip reflexively, the movements to do so firmly trained into their muscle memory. This allows the Zantou practitioner to ensure that the cutting edges of their blades are always facing the opponent whenever they want them to be. This Discipline can make a Zantou practitioner’s movements difficult to predict in a fight.
*[Zantou • Cold Snap]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter River Flows].
While slashing an opponent, the practitioner twists their wrist while simultaneously channeling the momentum of the first attack into another slash in a different direction, allowing the practitioner to attack another area of the opponent's body with the same sequence of movements.
*[Zantou • Falling Icicle]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter River Flows].
This technique can be performed as a standalone technique, often supplemented by feinting a slash, or can be linked to another attack. The practitioner twists their wrist and channels their momentum into a downward thrust, lodging their blade into the opponent and potentially pinning them to the ground or another surface. The opponent can force the practitioner away if their Strength stat is higher than the practitioner's Strength stat, but doing so hastily can cause additional damage as the blade continues to expand the wound even further. Conversely, the practitioner can opt to twist the blade in the wound and pull it out, causing further damage to the opponent and possibly severing important tendons or veins.
*[Zantou • Eyes of the Snow Owl]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity].
The practitioner of Zantou must be capable of both defending and attacking within the same movement. This Discipline represents the practitioner's training and capacity to block an attack with one sword while simultaneously attacking with the other while wielding two or more weapons, making it more difficult for opponents to adequately block or counter the practitioner's attacks.
*[Zantou • Frigid Gust]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Zantou harnesses the inner strength of its warrior to cause the opponent to falter. Intentionally clashing with the opponent's weapon at a weak point, the practitioner immediately torques the muscles in their arm to violently push and twist the weapon in a single direction. An opponent affected by this technique must have a Strength higher than the practitioner's Strength to avoid losing their grip on their weapon or being disarmed entirely. The practitioner can immediately follow up on this opening with a slash with the other weapon if they so wish.
*[Zantou • Winter Snow]
C-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter Solstice].
Building upon its parent technique, this Stance further builds upon further sharpening and refining the practitioner's capacity to focus on the opponent and the task at hand. The practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. While in this Stance, the practitioner can more easily ignore non-critical distractions, focusing solely on the opponent(s). They also are able to ignore moderate heat, moderate cold, moderate fatigue, and even a moderate amount of pain. They can read the opponents' muscle contractions and body positioning more accurately in this stance, and they are able to read both the direction and the type of attack that is imminent. The opponent can still effectively mask their movements if they have a movement-concealing Stealth technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +2 increase to Strength and Will Power but suffers a -2 penalty to Chakra Pool and Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.
*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Paradigm]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Much of a human's movements are inefficient and waste energy, especially in regards to combat. The practitioner has learned how to fully synchronize and harmonize the movements of their body in and out of combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge and mastery of kinetic linking, the efficient movement and transferal of potential energy from one part of the body to the other, eliminating potentially wasted Endurance and chakra and allowing the practitioner to last longer than ordinary in a fight.
*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Prowl]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The practitioner carefully scrutinizes his opponent's defenses and attacks whatever openings present themselves. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to quickly recognize the base effective range of an opponent's weapon and inherent weaknesses in their defenses, including if there are none. This technique does not provide supernatural insight into an opponent's techniques which could alter those parameters, but this technique can be used in conjunction with other information the practitioner has to build a complete mental profile on the opponent's capabilities.
*[Zantou • Wolf Pack Fangs]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Using the opponent's own guard as an avenue for attack, the practitioner will feint as to clash against the opponent's defense. Then, as the blade's edge is about to make contact, the practitioner will twist the said blade and push the blade forward as the flat of their weapon makes contact against the opponent's guard. This allows the practitioner to initiate a slash or thrust against the opponent by sliding the flat of the blade along the opponent's guard. This tricky technique can allow the practitioner to exploit inherent weaknesses in the opponent's guard and even push through an opponent's defenses to attack them.
*[Zantou • Wolf Pup Bite]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
As opposed to most attacks, which aim to do as much damage as possible as in few movements as necessary, this technique aims to slowly whittle away an opponent from the outside in. Whenever an opponent parries or blocks an attack, the practitioner can quickly sidestep, dragging the weapon along the opponent's guard and making a small incision somewhere along their outer extremities. While the cuts themselves are shallow and may appear superficial at first, continued use of this technique against an enemy can result in significant blood loss. Each successful application of this technique will leave a wide, shallow cut that will increase the pace at which the opponent loses blood and, in turn, Endurance.
*[Zantou • Twisting Blizzard]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity], *[Zantou • Shifting Winds].
The practitioner uses their skills with their weapons to obfuscate their next attacks. By constantly spinning the blades with their hands and fingers, randomly switching directions, the practitioner can reflexively choose not only what kind of strike to use and which direction to launch the attack from, but also whether to use standard grip or reverse grip the split-second before launching the attack. This can make the practitioner very unpredictable in a fight. This technique can be used in conjunction with other techniques to help mask the practitioner's intentions.
*[Zantou • Winter Blizzard]
B-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Winter Snow].
Building upon its parent technique, this Stance further builds upon further sharpening and refining the practitioner's capacity to focus on the opponent and the task at hand. The practitioner holds one blade forward, parallel to the ground, and holds the other high over the head, pointing toward the opponent. While in this Stance, the practitioner can very easily ignore non-critical distractions, focusing solely on the opponent(s). They also are able to ignore high heat, deep cold, mild oxygen deprivation, severe fatigue, and even a severe amount of pain. They can read the opponents' muscle contractions and body positioning more accurately in this stance, and they are able to read the direction, the type, and the timing of an attack that is imminent. The opponent can still effectively mask their movements if they have a movement-concealing Stealth technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. While in this Stance, the practitioner is conferred with a +3 increase to Strength and Will Power but suffers a -3 penalty to Chakra Pool and Control. The practitioner may end this Stance whenever they so wish.
*[Zantou • Polar Bear Conservation]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Wolf Pack Paradigm].
The Zantou practitioner has learned to more precisely control their Endurance expenditures through the use of controlled and precise breathing. This Discipline represents the practitioner's proficiency at constantly using efficient breathing techniques both in and out of battle, further conserving Endurance and chakra. This Discipline ensures that only the exact amount of energy needed for each movement is expended, not a single iota more. This allows the Zantou fighter to endure and persist in battle long after other fighters would have passed out. This Discipline also allows the practitioner to function normally in oxygen-deprived environments, such as very high altitudes and vacuums. The practitioner can hold their breath on-demand for a number of posts equal to their Endurance stat.
*[Zantou • Polar Bear Claw]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Ambidexterity].
One of the few full committal techniques of Zantou, the practitioner momentarily torques the muscles in their arms. Then, in a single, explosive release, the practitioner looses a kiai and two crossing diagonal slashes from opposite sides. Opponents within a number of meters equal to the practitioner's Strength must have a Will Power equal to or higher than the practitioner's Will Power to resist the kiai effect. Otherwise, the opponents will suffer from minor disorientation from the disruption of the equilibrium, resulting in a -6 penalty to Speed for the next three posts. At the center of the attack, the second blade crashes into the back of the first, driving the first blade deeper into the opponent's guard, weapon, armor, or body. This technique is effective at breaking an opponent's weapon, armor, or defenses. The disorientation effect from this technique can be stacked with other disorientation effects and refreshes the post limit for any disorientation effect currently imposed on the opponents.
*[Zantou • Polar Bear Pursuit]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): *[Zantou • Frigid Gust].
An uncharacteristically aggressive technique with a heavy commitment, the practitioner draws in a small breath before unleashing a stream of kiai against the opponent before attacking them with a powerful series of alternating slashes and thrusts. Opponents within a number of meters equal to the practitioner's Strength must have a Will Power equal to or higher than the practitioner's Will Power to resist the kiai effect. Otherwise, the opponent will suffer from minor disorientation from the disruption of the equilibrium, resulting in a -6 penalty to Speed for the next three posts. This disorientation can allow the practitioner to overwhelm the opponent's senses and defenses to land any number of serious, if not fatal, blows. The disorientation effect from this technique can be stacked with other disorientation effects and refreshes the post limit for any disorientation effect currently imposed on the opponents.

[Hunter’s Cryptolect]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A Head Hunter can convey a hundred meanings without ever opening their mouth. This discipline represents the user’s mastery of the Hunter’s Cryptolect, a secretive and complicated means of communication taught exclusively to members of Kirigakure’s Head Hunter Division. More than just a spoken or written language, the Cryptolect incorporates vocal, somatic, tonal and metered elements which can be used individually or together to convey detailed private messages. This grants practitioners the ability to communicate silently such as through hand signs and body language, cryptically through a scrambled written or spoken cipher, or even by hiding meanings and messages in plain sight by concealing elements of the Cryptolect into seemingly plain, everyday sentences, for example by using tones, accents, or hidden patterns in the meter of a phrase. This communication is innately cryptic and unintuitive, often interspersed with rogue elements to throw off a potential eavesdropper, making it nigh impossible to be realised—let alone properly interpreted—by anyone not trained in its particular use at the Head Hunter Division headquarters.
[Vigilance]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user maintains a constant state of vigilance with respect to their immediate surroundings and all persons in their vicinity. This allows the user to effortlessly identify and recall the environment, obstructions, and structures around them to passively recognise entry and escape routes, vantage points, probable sources of cover, and so forth. Additionally, the user can quickly recognise and differentiate civilians from trained (D-rank or higher) persons, such as by analysing gait, body structure, reactions, deftness, and the target's awareness.
[Anaerobics]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Following dedicated training, the user is capable of moving and fighting for extended periods without breathing to minimise noise or avoid inhalation. The user can hold their breath for twice the usual amount of time without hindering their own abilities or actions.
[Breathe and Listen]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user takes a deep breath and focuses their hearing on all the sounds in their vicinity, and is able to pick up on the sounds of movement within 15 metres of their position. They can accurately identify noises and the source, such as footsteps, the rustle of clothing, breathing, or the drawing of weapons. Areas with loud noises or crowds, or targets with specialised techniques to mask their sounds, can throw off the accuracy of this technique.
[Just Listen]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Any time the user is moving, they have trained themselves to be attuned to the sound of people moving. This passive technique allows the user to accurately pinpoint targets within 30 metres of their location, and can differentiate the sounds of multiple people to separate targets and determine how many people are in a given area even if they can’t see them.
[Featherstep]
C-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The user has learned to move in a particular way to lighten the tread of their feet and with carefully placed steps. This allows the user to move without leaving any visible trail to all but the most experienced of trackers, eliminating obvious environmental disturbances and signs such as footprints, scuffs, displaced dirt, and so on. The lightfooted nature of this stance imparts a +6 to Speed at the cost of -6 to Strength as the user primes their muscles for swift and gentle movement rather than power.
[Projectile Whistles]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has attuned their hearing to the sound of things moving through the air within 30 metres of their person. This allows them to hear projectiles flying at them from a general location, even if they can’t see the source.
[Target Read]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned to accurately gauge their own speed and strength compared to that of a target, allowing them to determine a fairly accurate estimate as to how fast a target is moving or could potentially move, or how strong a target may be. This can help the user read their opponent's potential and better predict the flow of combat.

Rune Crafting TechniquesShow
*[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
D-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: [Charge & Augment Fuuinjutsu Concentration]
Not an actual fuuinjutsu technique, this discipline is the first step in a fuuinjutsu user being able to utilized 'Ancient Rune' techniques. A highly sought after talent, Runes are an ancient form of fuuinjutsu much stronger than the standard fuuinjutsu and are used to embed jutsu effects into things on a permanent basis. This discipline shows that the user has the knowledge to understand Runes, and can interpret what a Rune does through visual inspection. This technique is required to learn any [Ancient Rune] technique.
*[Ancient Rune: Novice]
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Reflective of the first step to actually utilize Runes, the 'Novice' is able to embed D-rank Ninpou effects with up to [25] Control and any other subsequent stats into a Rune. A semi-permanent version of fuuinjutsu, previously shaped chakra can be placed into a rune and then embedded into an object, allowing for the effect to be retained by the weapon indefinitely. Unlike standard charge fuuin, Runes cannot be removed via fuuinjutsu removal, but are negated when the object is detempered. This technique cannot be performed in combat. The Novice must know the technique being embedded, or currently have it stored in another Rune.
*[Ancient Rune: Ninpou Storage]
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Having learned how to utilize ancient runes, this user has also learned how to store and manipulate pre-existing chakra shapes. By generating the rune, the user can bring the Rune in contact with a Ninpou Technique with less [Control] than the Rune was drawn with. This will absorb in the technique into the Rune, and store the chakra for a later enchantment. This can only store enough for a single Ninpou enchantment and must be done multiple times for more.
Ancient Rune: Glacial Slash
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
By channeling their Hyouton chakra into sword, the user is able to create a crescent shaped projectile blade when the sword is swung. The projectile is three feet in length and four inches at it's widest point, and tapers off towards the ends of the crescent shape. This Rune allows the user to set a static [Speed], [Strength], and distance travelled for the blades created by this Rune.
Ancient Rune: Chilled Aura
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
The user creates a swirling sphere of snow that expands ten meters around them, and moves with them. Those that enter this domain of snow for an entire post will begin to have snow accumulate on their body and they will begin to suffer from frostbite. This Rune allows the user to set a static [Speed], [Strength], and distance travelled for the effects created by this Rune.
Ancient Rune: Tempest Blade
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Tempest Blade embodies the fury of a stormy sea within the precise strikes of Suijin Kenjutsu. The practitioner channels chakra through their blade, creating arcs of water that resemble crashing waves with each swing. These arcs of water enhance the cutting power of the blade, slicing through defenses with the force and unpredictability of a tempest. This technique is particularly effective in close combat, where its dynamic fluidity can overwhelm opponents and exploit their vulnerabilities. The projectile is three feet in length, and four inches at it's widest point, and tapers off towards the ends of the crescent shape. This Rune allows the user to set a static [Speed], [Strength], and distance travelled for the blades created by this Rune.
Ancient Rune: Wind Blade
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
By channeling their Fuuton chakra into their sword, the user is able to create a crescent shaped projectile blade when the sword is swung. The projectile is three feet in length, and four inches at it's widest point, and tapers off towards the ends of the crescent shape. This Rune allows the user to set a static [Speed], [Strength], and distance travelled for the blades created by this Rune.
Ancient Rune: Scent Removal
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Once activated, this rune generates a thin film of chakra over the item the rune was placed on, blocking any scent that it may generate from leaking out. This barrier will last for 5 posts before the rune will need to be activated again.
Ancient Rune: Echo Location
D-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Upon activation, this rune will emit a high pitched sound that travels in all directions, up to [Control] meters, with [Control] being determined at the time of inscription, before returning to the rune. When the sound returns, it creates a black-and-white image on the surface the rune was inscribed on, effectively creating a map of everything the sound touched. This technique does not allow the user to see through solid objects.
*[Ancient Rune: Apprentice]
C-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Apprentice
The next step to utilize Runes, the 'Apprentice' is able to embed up to C-rank Ninpou and Basic Elemental effects with up to [35] Control and any other subsequent stats into a Rune. The Apprentice must know the technique being embedded, or currently have it stored in another Rune.
Ancient Rune: Wind Shroud
C-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Scholar]
Wind Shroud is a versatile technique that serves both defensive and offensive purposes. It involves condensing the user's Fuuton chakra into numerous crescent moon-shaped blades, each measuring three feet from tip to tip and six inches at its widest point. The number of blades is dependent on the amount of [Control] when this rune is applied. One blade is created for every 5 [Control]. This Rune allows the user to set a static [Speed], [Strength], and distance travelled for the effects created by this Rune.
[Ancient Rune: Suiton Storage]
C-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Apprentice]
Having learned how to utilize ancient runes, this user has also learned how to store and manipulate pre-existing chakra shapes. By generating the rune, the user can bring the Rune in contact with a Suiton Technique with less [Control] than the Rune was drawn with. This will absorb in the technique into the Rune, and store the chakra for a later enchantment. This can only store enough for a single Suiton enchantment and must be done multiple times for more.
Ancient Rune: Sword Aura
C-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Apprentice]
Sword Aura is a versatile technique that serves both defensive and offensive purposes. It involves condensing the user's chakra into numerous crescent moon-shaped blades, each measuring three feet from tip to tip and six inches at its widest point. B-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Apprentice]
The next step to utilize Runes, the 'Journeyman' is able to embed up to B-rank Ninpou, Basic Elemental, and Genjutsu effects with up to [45] Control and any other subsequent stats into a Rune. The Journeyman must know the technique being embedded, or currently have it stored in another Rune.
Ancient Rune: Silence
B-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Journeyman]
Upon activation, this rune creates a dense field of chakra that dampens all sound within [Control] meters of the rune, where [Control] is determined upon inscription of the rune. This field of chakra will last for 8 posts before the rune must be activated again. Those in the affected area with a [Control] equal to the [Control] the rune was inscribed with can push the effect back 3 meters, while those with a higher [Control] can negate the effect entirely.

Ancient Rune: Senbon Launcher
C-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Apprentice]
Upon activation, this rune will launch up to 5 senbon, that were placed upon it at the time of activation, at a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the [Control] that the rune was inscribed with.
*[Ancient Rune: Journeyman]
B-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Apprentice]
The next step to utilize Runes, the 'Journeyman' is able to embed up to B-rank Ninpou, Basic Elemental, and Genjutsu effects with up to [45] Control and any other subsequent stats into a Rune.
[Ancient Rune: Mist Storage]
B-rank Ancient Rune Fuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Ancient Rune: Journeyman]
Having learned how to utilize ancient runes, this user has also learned how to store and manipulate pre-existing chakra shapes. By generating the rune, the user can bring the Rune in contact with a Mist Technique with less [Control] than the Rune was drawn with. Fuuton - Wind Blade
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling their Fuuton chakra into their sword, the user is able to create a crescent shaped projectile blade when the sword is swung. The projectile is three feet long, and four inches at it's widest point, and tapers off towards the ends of the crescent shape. The blade moves with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the user's [Control]. These blades can travel up to [Control] meters before breaking apart.
Fuuton - Force Palm
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling their Fuuton chakra into their hand, the user is able to create a palm shaped projectile when they strike outwards with their palm. The projectile is the size and shape of their palm, and moves with a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the user's [Control]. These projectiles can travel up to [Control] meters before breaking apart.
Fuuton • Mountain Wind
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling their Fuuton chakra into their hand, the user will thrust their hands forward as a vortex of wind blasts through with [Control] Speed. A hit from this vortex packs a large push back force, though the person can avoid being pushed back with more than [Control] Strength. The vortex spans an area 3m wide and up to 15m in length. Direct hits result in long but shallow cuts on the victim's body, covering the whole radius of the techniques point of contact, no deeper than half an inch.
Fuuton • Breakthrough
D-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling their Fuuton chakra into their throat and exhaling, the user can release a wide blast of air. This wave of air moves outward in a cone shape with a 15m width at the end of the cone and moves with [Control] Speed. Once it makes contact with a substance, the wind both cuts at it and pushes it away with [Control] strength. This blast goes out for a maximum of 15m if it doesn't hit anything, where it will dissipate into the surrounding air.

NinpouShow
Skin Tight Barrier
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Skin Tight Barrier is a straightforward technique where the user generates a thin barrier of chakra on their skin, effectively insulating their body from outside influences, much like a sophisticated air purifier, including D-rank poisons, both airborne and liquid. This barrier forms at a [Speed], has a [Strength] equal to the user's [Control]. The barrier will last four posts, unless activated through Advanced Channeling, in which case, it will last [Chakra Pool]/2 posts.
Scent Removal
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Scent Removal is a simple technique in which the user generates a thin film of chakra on their skin, effectively insulating their body to prevent the detection of any body odor or other bodily scents. The barrier will last four posts, unless activated through Advanced Channeling, in which case, it will last [Chakra Pool]/2 posts.
*[Ninjutsu • Hidden Needles]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
After performing the correct hand seals the user will focus chakra into their mouths and into up to five senbon within 10 meters of their position. The senbon will be summoned from their persons or nearby into the user's mouth, where they will be spit out aided by chakra at [Control] Strength and Speed. The senbon can be shot up to 10 meters away.
Echo Location
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: [Sensor]
After channeling chakra into their vocal cords and eyes, the user releases a chakra-enhanced whistle. This sound travels farther and faster than usual, up to [Control] meters, before returning to the user. When the sound returns, it creates a black-and-white image in the user's mind of everything the sound touched. This technique does not allow the user to see through solid objects, nor chakra sources.
Voice Modulation
D-Rank Ninjutsu
Voice Modulation enables the user to alter the pitch, depth, and tone of their voice by channeling different amounts of chakra into their vocal cords, allowing them to effectively disguise their voice. The technique will last four posts, unless activated through Advanced Channeling, in which case, it will last [Chakra Pool]/2 posts.
Sword Aura
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Sword Aura is a versatile technique that serves both defensive and offensive purposes. It involves condensing the user's chakra into numerous crescent moon-shaped blades, each measuring three feet from tip to tip and six inches at its widest point. The number of blades is constantly changing as they move around the user, however, there are never more than [Control]/4 blades at one time. This effect can be maintained for [Chakra Pool]/2 posts before requiring recasting.
Sword Qi
C-Rank Ninjutsu
By channeling chakra into their weapon, the user is able to fire a crescent moon-shaped blade, measuring three feet from tip to tip and six inches at its widest point. The chakra blades created with this technique move with a [Speed] and [Strength] equivalent to the user's [Control]. These blades can travel up to [Control]/2 in meters. Each blade is a separate use of this technique.
Sword Tether
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Sword Tether allows the user to tether multiple swords to their body through chakra tethers that are three inches thick. By channeling their chakra into their sword, the user will create a thick chakra tether that connects the sword to the user, allowing the user to then perform basic sword techniques through the tether, up to a distance of [Control]/2 meters. The maximum distance is halved for each additional tether, to a maximum of 4. The tethers created by this technique attach to the user's back, and can be maintained up to [Chakra Pool]/2 posts. Should the tether be severed, the technique will need to be recast.
Senbon Launcher
C-Rank Ninjutsu
This technique allows the user to charge up to 5 senbon with chakra before launching them at a [Speed] and [Strength] equal to the user's [Control] up to [Control] meters.
Silence
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Despite its rank, Silence is a straightforward technique. The user emits and condenses a large amount of chakra from their body to completely dampen all sound within [Control] meters. This effect can be maintained for [Chakra Pool]/2 posts before requiring recasting. Those in the affected area with a [Control] equal to the user's can push the effect back 3 meters, while those with a higher [Control] can negate the effect entirely.

Iaido KenjutsuShow
*[Iaido • Ancestral Focus]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The hallmark of Iaido is its practitioners abilities to launch an attack even when their swords are sheathed. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to consistently execute a sword draw and slash all in one movement by gripping the edge of the scabbard and pulling the scabbard slightly forward before drawing the sword. This Discipline enables the practitioner to immediately draw their sword and attack at the start of combat.
*[Iaido • Weapon Mastery]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Since Iaido is a style that prioritizes speed over brute strength, wise usage of the blade is paramount to the practitioner's success in the style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge of their weapon's strengths and weaknesses in combat, allowing them to use the weapon more efficiently both inside and outside of its use in Iaido techniques and avoid unnecessarily presenting their weapon's blind spots to the opponent.
**[Iaido • One with the Sheath]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 8 Speed.
The practitioner has learned how to more quickly and efficiently sheath his blades. The practitioner can now seamlessly transition from drawing their blade to slash to sheathing their blade, allowing the practitioner to sheath their sword in half the time, up to a maximum speed equal to their Speed score, for the more rapid execution of Iaido techniques.
*[Iaido • Last Breath]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The most iconic (and most basic) strike of Iaido, the practitioner quickly draws and cuts with their blade in a wide arc in one fluid motion. This simultaneous draw and attack straight from the scabbard makes Iaido well-suited for an initial surprise attack and for taking advantage of openings presented by the opponent.
*[Iaido • Mantra]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple yet potent defense, especially against other weapons users, the practitioner partially draws the sword from its scabbard and blocks incoming attacks with the back of their blade. This technique is ineffective against opponents with higher Strength than the practitioner's Strength.
*[Iaido • Last Rites]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A defensive technique particularly useful when an opponent is close to the practitioner or is clinching them in a grapple, the practitioner grabs the hilt of their sword with a reverse grip and rams the butt or pommel of the hilt into the opponent's body, pushing the opponent back a number of meters equal to the difference between their Strength scores. Conversely, against opponents with higher Strength than their own, the practitioner can use this technique to push themselves back a number of meters equal to their own Strength score. The speed and simplicity of the attack can push opponents away and give the practitioner the needed space to set up additional attacks.
*[Iaido • Clouding Eyes]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Speed.
A simple technique meant to cripple the target's vision, the practitioner draws the sword from its scabbard and aims a quick slash at the eyes. This technique can be done in any single direction to either target one or both of the opponent's eyes.
*[Iaido • Shinigami Draw]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Losing the use of one's hand or arm in a fight can be a death sentence, but Iaido has found a simple, elegant response to this desperate situation. Using their free hand, the practitioner momentarily braces the edge of their sword against the inside of the scabbard before drawing. While it does not confer the instant acceleration benefit of its parent technique, this Discipline does allow the practitioner to use Iaido techniques at their normal speed even with only one hand.
*[Iaido • One with the Sword]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Iaido • One with the Sheath].
The practitioner has learned how to more quickly and efficiently sheath his blades even without the use of both hands. The practitioner can now sheath the blade just as quickly with one hand as could be done with two hands, and so long as the scabbard remains on their person, the practitioner will always have an exact knowledge of the position of their scabbard.
*[Iaido • Ancestral Visage]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Using Iaido to its fullest requires a keen eye and quick reactions, enabling its users to target weaknesses and openings that their opponents present almost instantaneously. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to attack openings that present themselves, the practitioner now able to reflexively attack an opening in almost the same moment that it is observed. This Discipline reduces the gap of time between a practitioner recognizing a potential opening for attack and launching the attack to exploit said opening to almost nil.
*[Iaido • Death’s Gate]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed.
Drawing upon the superlative speed of Iaido, the practitioner momentarily torques the muscles in their body to draw their sword from its scabbard and deliver a blindingly fast slash before sheathing their blade. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Otherwise, they cannot accurately read the attack and will be unlikely to completely avoid the attack, if at all.
*[Iaido • Peace in Death]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed.
An abnormally aggressive technique in Iaido, this technique serves as a preemptive counter, attacking the opponent in the split moment between drawing back to prepare an attack and launching said attack. Violently torquing the muscles in their legs, the practitioner more quickly accelerates to their maximum speed (or instantly accelerating to their max speed if their Strength is equal or higher than their Speed) than with normal movement. With this movement, the practitioner bolts toward the opponent and launches an attack, cutting the opponent as they pass to their side. This technique can be used while moving to immediately change direction instead before launching the attack. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique.
*[Iaido • Shinigami’s Wrath]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed.
A technique refining the concept of targeting multiple opponents with a single draw, the practitioner uses their sheath hand to reverse grip the hilt. Using the one hand, the practitioner quickly torques their body and cuts with a reverse hand slash a full 360 degrees before immediately sheathing the blade. This technique can strike multiple opponents at once, and the reverse grip of the sword allows the practitioner to more easily defend against counterattacks immediately after.
To say Hatsuyuki had a strange upbringing would be a vast understatement. Born to a pair Aisu Genin, who were fourteen and fifteen respectively, he was given the name Early Snow to denote his parents' young age. It was not until he was much older that Hatsu found out that his parents had been in an arranged marriage and that they chose to have him early on in order to fulfill their obligations to the clan. See, he didn't grow up with one set of parents, but two. Not because of divorce or death, but because his parents both preferred members of the same sex.
In order to "keep up appearances," his biological parents, instead of getting a divorce, moved their lovers into the house as "roommates" so that they could all live in a much bigger house. In a situation much like his own, Hatsu's elder sister was born to two gay parents as well, though from the Hirohito family. Yuri, being a few years Hatsu’s senior, helped prepare him for life in the academy by being his sparring partner when their parents began teaching him Taijutsu.By the time he had entered into the academy he had already begun practicing the Aisu clan’s Kenjutsu style as well as practicing with their Kekkei Genkai.
It was obvious that, while not a prodigy, Hatsuyuki was naturally talented. Even though he primarily excelled at Taijutsu, it was clear from the very beginning that he did not lack in skill when it came to Ninjutsu, or even Genjutsu. However, it was due to his natural talent for Taijutsu that he was paired with a Genin primarily gifted with Genjutsu upon graduating from the academy. They were practically a match made in heaven as far as they were concerned. While he would rush their target in melee range, his partner Yusuke would use his Genjutsu for crowd control. With Yusuke being from a lower caste merchant family, he practically worshiped Hatsu and listened to him in every situation. This did not pose a problem for either of them in the beginning, that is, until they took their Chuunin exam.
Yusuke panicked and begged the proctors to let him fight someone else. Hatsu, having been prepared for this moment months in advance by his family, waited calmly to the side as he watched his best friend’s pleas fall on deaf ears. He had already begged his family to arrange things differently once they told him what was going to happen, but they simply told him that there was nothing they could do. He had spent a month in meditation, refusing to meet with anyone as he focused on nothing but his sword. Once Yusuke finally realized that there was no way out of the situation he nearly went insane. It became all too easy for Hatsuyuki to cut down his best friend while he was in such a broken state. Truthfully, he knew in his heart that if Yusuke had been in the right mindset he would have lost. Yusuke’s Genjutsu were simply that good.
Despite training in an entirely new sword style, Hatsuyuki has found himself not within the ranks of the Seven Swordsmen, but with the ranks of the Head Hunters. While he has mainly performed menial tasks for the organization within the confines of the village, the most prominent mission they have seen him included in was the massacre an island inhabited by pirates. He was by no means in a leadership position on the mission, merely a rank and file, but he was found to have performed well enough to warrant a promotion to Special Jounin.
