Once upon a time, on a secluded beach with golden sands and crystal-clear waters, a mysterious figure emerged from the sea. It was a green-haired skeletal woman, with sunken eyes and a tattered flesh clinging to her bony frame. She had returned from the dead, craving sustenance and desperate to rebuild her strength.
The skeletal woman had once been a powerful beast, feared and revered in equal measure. But a mistake had ripped her from the mortal realm, leaving her trapped in the depths of the abyss for time unknown. Now, the veil had been lifted, and the hunger of revival threatened to overcome her weakened mind.
As she stumbled onto the beach, the ghoulish woman felt a surge of relief. The cool sea breeze whispered through her matted hair, and the warmth of the sun caressed her cold, clammy skin. But she knew she could not linger in the open for long. She needed to find a something to feed on, without drawing attention to herself.
Using her limited strength, the bestial woman warped and shifted her body. Her rent flesh tightened and her mottled hair filled. The splotchy marks upon her frame smoothed over as she once more looked almost human. Some things came naturally, even if the effort was taxing. Satisfied, she moved stealthily along the shoreline, her eyes scanning for any signs of life. Finally, she spotted a group of fishermen casting their nets into the water, their laughter carrying on the wind.
The skeletal woman crept closer, her hunger growing more urgent with each passing moment. She could feel the energy of the fishermen pulsing through her bones, a tantalizing promise of strength and vitality. But she knew she had to be cautious - if any of them saw her, her plans would be ruined. Though the hesitation was joined by a hunger driven from her innate benefactor, patience was necessary.
As the fishermen finished their work and began to pack up their gear, the woman seized her chance. An instinctual growl emanated from her chest and she moved swiftly among them. The distance closed, her hunger surged, and teeth began to gnash. Two poor souls had been her pray, and now all that lay about was carnage and viscera. The beast ate greedily.
Feeling the nourishing meal reinvigorate the power coursing through her ever so slightly, the skeletal woman retreated to a hidden place, where she could rest and replenish her strength in peace. She closed her eyes, savoring the sensation of warmth and life returning to her body.
Days turned into nights, and the skeletal woman remained hidden, feasting on the life of any who wandered too close to her domain. Beast, fish, human, it mattered not. She grew stronger with each meal, her green hair shimmering in the moonlight as she stalked along the shoreline.
But as her power grew, so did her restlessness. Hunger had been sated but her strength had waned much in the time after her death. Many questions kept plaguing her mind. Thoughts of people who'd once seen her with respect. Thoughts of a god trapped within a whelp. Thoughts of failure and hatred. She lingered on them in the starlit nights.

A beast returns.
As the sun began to rise over the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the beach, a small cave near the shore stirred with life. Inside the cave, a green-haired ghoulish woman slowly opened her eyes, her vivid emerald hair falling around her pallid face. She blinked in the dim light filtering through the entrance of the cave, the remnants of a wild party scattered around her.
The woman, known simply as Katsu, had a reputation among the locals as a mysterious and elusive figure. She was rumored to be a creature of the night, with supernatural abilities that both intrigued and frightened those who crossed her path. Katsu had been drawn to the beach by the sound of laughter and music drifting on the breeze the previous night. The promise of food had brought her in, but the fear of reprisal had given her reason to seek the cave's shelter.
As she emerged from the shadows of the cave, the Beasita realized she was ravenous. Her crimson and jaden eyes scanned the beach for any sign of food, but all she saw was the deserted remnants of the party. With a resigned sigh, she knew she would have to hunt for her own food if she wanted to satisfy her hunger.
Without hesitation, Katsu abandoned her altered form for one of light blue skin and hair like seaweed. She waded into the crystal-clear waters of the ocean. The cool water enveloped her as she swam out further, her strange appearance drawing no attention from the early morning beachcombers. Katsu dove beneath the surface, her long hair trailing behind her like a dark green veil.
As she swam deeper, Katsu's keen eyes caught sight of a particularly fast fish darting through the water. With a surge of adrenaline, the woman kicked off from the ocean floor and chased after the elusive creature. It took considerable effort. The creature was slippery in it's domain and her body was far from it once was. With each maneuver she chased harder, hunger pushing her forward.
After a tense pursuit, Katsu finally managed to capture the fish in her grasp. With a triumphant smile, she surfaced, holding her prize aloft. The fish wriggled in her grip, but the primal woman's clawed hand held it firmly in place. Swiftly stabbing a finger into the base of the creature's skull broke the fish's spine and tore into its flesh with her sharp teeth.
As she devoured her meal hungrily, the sun continued its ascent in the sky, casting a warm light over the beach. The party from the previous night was nothing but a distant memory as Katsu indulged in the simple pleasure of sustenance. She relished the taste of the fresh fish, the salty ocean water mingling with the metallic tang of blood on her lips.
As she finished her meal, Luna felt a sense of contentment wash over her. The ocean stretched out before her, shimmering in the early morning light. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore was a soothing melody that calmed her restless spirit.
With a satisfied sigh, the beast floated on her back in the water, allowing the gentle waves to carry her back to the shore. As she emerged from the ocean, her green hair dripping with saltwater, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the solitude and freedom that the beach had granted her.
Katsu retreated once more to her cave. Even while enjoying the relaxing surroundings and a full stomach the chance of discovery was still too great. For now at least, Katsu knew that she must remain a creature of the night, a ghoulish woman with a hunger for the wild and untamed. But in that moment, as the sun kissed her pale skin and the ocean whispered its secrets to her, Katsu felt a sense of belonging that she had so desperately craved.
And so, with a full belly, the beast disappeared into the shadows of the cave, feeling her strength slowly returning. Even if it was still a very long road ahead.

A beast returns.
The sun set over again and Katsu stirred once more. She blinked several times, adjusting her sight to the shadows that danced along the cave's walls. Another meal was needed, hunger gnawing not only at her stomach, but in the back of her mind as well.
With a lurch she exited the cave's mouth, looking out in the distance to see the revelry that took place. People of all walks partied in celebration of something she did not know. However, such gathering would be avoided even still. Instead, the ocean's waves once more called her. Dangerous to swim in the shadows of night, but not entirely a death sentence to one such as her.
Her feet kicked at the sand until the waters were washing over them once more. Slowly she lowered into the cool waves, letting them brace her. However, something else was intended. She had never been good at controlling her chakra, perhaps that should change. However, for now she'd need to build it back up. Attempting to remember the patterns the bestial woman fumbled for but a moment. Eventually, she had it and the energy coated her feet.
The sensation was strange as she stepped up from beneath the waves as if climbing stairs. She found purchase upon the water's surface, walking it as dry land. The technique would take concentration, but she could handle it. However, to properly hunt she would need another tool. One that would push her ability to focus. Summoning a power more familiar, she grunted as the pain began to radiate from her tailbone. Structures formed and skin split as a long barbed tail was formed. However, the effort broke her concentration on the first jutsu, causing her to splash back beneath the surface flat on her back.
After the surprise and then frustration began to leave her it was replaced by merriment. The failure was minor, but amusing at least. If only because no one was around to witness it. She laughed at herself briefly before once more attempting the seals and feeling the energy grip her feet again. Reclaiming her footing, the woman began to walk across the waters in confidence the black ocean would hide her from sight. Especially this far away.
It was a couple hours before pray became known. A perfect fish looking as a sea bass swam by. It took a nibble from her toe, the sensation not causing pain but instead a tickle. However, it provided a chance as well. The wicked blade sprang straight down, skewering in the animal through the belly. Joy and hunger caught her at once, almost making her lose focus on the jutsu again. However, she caught herself and maintained it. With her meal captured, she made her way once more back to the shores.
The hunting had excited her hunger further and taxed the limited energy reserves she had remaining. Death's veil had been escaped, and the creature she played host too still took it's toll. But hopefully she would regain her ability, her power, in time. And with each meal she made steps towards that. With ravenous appetite she tore into the fish, watching the waves splash upon the shore. For now at least, she was at peace.

The sun was setting, casting an eerie glow over the beach. The sound of waves crashing against the shore filled the air, mingling with the cries of seagulls wheeling overhead. A figure emerged from the shadows, a woman with crimson eyes and skin as white as bone. Her movements were strained on this eve, the efforts prio having taken their toll.
The parasite gnawed at her further. Strength had faded but will pushed her forward again. Desperation to return to what once was before death. Even in the peace of this place she knew her goal still. Feed the parasite to retain her mind. In doing so, she'd once again reclaim her throne. With effort, it would happen.
As she prowled the sand, her senses heightened, she caught the scent of fresh blood carried on the ocean breeze. Her hunger stirred within her, a primal urge that drove her forward. She followed the trail to another small cave nestled in the cliffs overlooking the beach.
Inside, she found a group of campers, their faces twisted in terror as they saw her approach. The woman had sustained on fish, but a true meal was demanded. The party-goers had not yet known her. Now that must change. In one swift motion, she lunged forward, sinking her claws into the supple flesh of one, teeth rending the throat of another.
The taste of blood filled her mouth, warm and coppery, reviving her in a way that nothing else could. The parasitic creature within her writhed with pleasure, feeding off the life force of its host. The woman ate greedily, savoring every drop, until the campers lay motionless at her feet.
Sated for now, the woman retreated to the shadows of the cave, her sanctuary from the prying eyes of the world. Here, she would rest and recover, her body rejuvenating itself with each scrap of flesh she consumed. The parasitic creature within her would grow docile once more, it's primordial demands once again waning.
The parasite that had been her salvation now threatened to consume her completely, its hunger insatiable. It whispered dark thoughts in her mind, urging her to seek out more victims, to feed and feed until there was nothing left.
The woman fought against these urges, her determination slipping further and further away with each passing day. She knew that if she gave in to the oblivion within her, she would be lost forever. And so, she curled in the darkness of the cave. No fire would warm her, nor company console her for now. Her thoughts turned to her family, but she wasn't ready. Not yet. In time.
With her comfort only in her head she steeled her resolve. This beech would once again feed her, and again, and again. It brought her some small peace to know they were still out there, somewhere. The mighty dragon would greet her with violence and threat. His love language. The wonderful Arsa would hold her again, but couldn't see her like this. The titan and mother would welcome her back with blatant concern. But she would wait.
And so, the undead woman held on, her future uncertain but her resolve yet unbroken. She would not be controlled by the parasite within her, nor would she be consumed by the darkness that threatened to swallow her whole. With each new night she knew the time would come. But not yet. They would still be in danger of this hunger. But in time. . . in time. Time was her greatest resource.

A beast returns.
A gentle breeze rustled through the palm trees, carrying the scent of saltwater and seaweed to the woman who lived in a cave on the beach. The rhythmic sound of the waves crashing against the shore was a constant lullaby, soothing her weary soul.
For only weeks, the woman had called this cave her home. She had found solace in the solitude, finding peace in the simplicity of her existence. She spent her days collecting driftwood for her fire, fishing for her meals, and meditating on the rocky shore as the sun dipped below the horizon.
One day, as she explored deeper into the cave, she stumbled upon a large boulder blocking a path that led further inside. With her weakened state Katsu was unable to move it. Though she shoved and wrenched, it refused to budge.
Determined to uncover the secrets that lay beyond the boulder, the woman set out to move it. She spent hours every day, straining and sweating as she tried to shift the stubborn rock. She tried using rope that had washed ashore, wedging sticks and rocks underneath to give her leverage, but nothing seemed to work.
As the days turned into weeks, the woman's frustration grew. She couldn't understand why the boulder wouldn't move, no matter how much effort she exerted. Determination resolved her to make the damned thing budge at least. What lay beyond would be explored, and the fact she lacked her once strength vexed her further.
One night, as she sat by her fire, staring out at the dark expanse of the ocean, she began to visualize the rock as something more. It baulked at her, refused the once titan entrance. It had come to represent something more, a staunch reminder that she had failed and would need to get back up. "Lass, what's lost can be remade. Often a wee bit better." The titan's words actually meant something now. A slight laugh escaped her as she set herself to the task.
With this new understanding, the woman approached the boulder with a different mindset. Instead of trying to force her way through, she began to accept the boulder for what it was. She sat in front of it, seeing it as a chance to improve once more.
She exerted effort once more, letting her muscle strain against the big rock's immovable surface. She felt the old familiar tear of muscle on a micro scale. It refused to budge though she did feel herself gain more purchase.
Over several days she'd hunt for a meal, the odd party-goer that stumbled across her temporary home or the fish she hunted. At no point did the rock ever move but the soreness in her legs and shoulders told ground had been gained. After a full week of effort, she managed to get a rock to shift from around it. The monumental task of even this accomplishment brought some small reward. The smell of stale air came with a waft of fresh water. She may have not gotten in just yet, but at least there was some reward. More time was needed.

A beast returns.
Katsu sat by her fire in the cave, contemplating what she would work on today. Her crimson and emerald eyes watched the fire crackle, realizing there was but one choice. Her body would mend, but that damnable thing within would constantly feed on her chakra, sucking her till she was dry. And with her recent resurrection there wasn't much left to give. Thankfully, there were a couple ways she knew to improve here. One was more violent, another would suck much, MUCH harder.
With the night's meal eaten and some stockpile nearby she set about her task. With a couple familiar seals she let the chakra flow towards her feet, feeling the energy take it's hold rather quickly. Now she took her steps, slowly and with some trepidation, towards the wall. One foot, then the other, then another step to follow, until she stood upon the ceiling with wispy hair falling to the floor. There the beast stood, maintaining the spell for several minutes. The effort was minimal at first. Ten minutes, then fifteen, then a whole half hour. However, it quickly became taxing and she needed to rest. Releasing the jutsu without thinking and falling flat on her ass.
"Fuck!"
Rubbing her upper back she slowly rose to sit, sweat beading on brow. After a few minutes respite she had to get back to it. Nothing was built with just one attempt, and this would be no different. Once more casting the spell she set back up the wall, this time more swiftly. As she hung from the roof of the cave her mind turned to just concentrating and remembering. The once titan recalled her time back in the academy. Instructors had drilled information keenly into her mind until repetition became instinct. Even while a primal creature would growl it's disproval at their jibes about it being a miserable failure in the department, she learned it. The memories became more lucid, scolding after beratement at the lack of ability. With them came anger, and that familiar motivator forced just a bit more time out of this effort. However, it was only a few minutes and once more the death visage fell to the floor. Thankfully, this time managing to hit her head. Least it was nothing important this time.
"Give me one more, lass. Ye got that in ye don't ye? Or ye gonna cow like a wee babe."
The memory actually made Katsu smile this time, and it was right. The rule of threes worked just as much in hidden weapons as it did in working out. So, the Beastia once again did the seals and scaled the wall, the effort being rather intense for the triple attempt. As sweat began to pool on the stone floor beneath she made a promise to go swimming to relax afterwards. Though the primordial hunger that began to gnaw in the inner mind said it would quickly turn into a fishing trip. And that wouldn't be far off, as this time Katsu recognized the limits of her ability here, feeling weak and drained. Walking back down to save even solo embarrassment she promised to do this again, soon. But for now, food.

A beast returns.
The morning had come and shed it's light over the horizon. With the sun's rise so too did Katsu, brushing the hair from her eyes and brow. The boulder still rebuffed her, and the fish had gotten smarter. Campers had become a bit more difficult to nab as well. Hunting parties had come and gone by this point searching for the bodies. Thankfully they were all disposed off via cannibalisms or the ocean's currents. It couldn't be helped, food was mandatory. This made a trip into the event proper more unavoidable.
Dreading what had to happen Katsu got to her feet and looked around. The cave had the markings of habitation but nothing that betrayed a human. Even the odd campfire was dispersed. There was nothing to stall the pain coming. And pain there was. Katsu focused her body and mind to the task of modification. Skin firming up and clearing. Hair growing in more dense. The colors becoming black from green, eyes turning white to cover their crimson. The iris taking on the more common browns. It was painful as flesh and organs shifted and rippled. Hunger took it's hold as she tapped remaining stores. But it was over soon enough, leaving the woman to gasp in recovery. What rose from it's hunched spot was any typical girl. five foot ten and average build. All that was left now was to cover the body for blending in. A couple hand seals later and the illusion of a pair of swim trunks and cropped shirt came up. The wicked dagger of a tail was wrapped around her waist and legs, and she set off.
Her first target was the beach. Stores would just now be opening and unfortunately she'd need some cash for them. Thankfully, tourists were making their way out as well, enjoying the sun's kiss. To keep up the act she first headed towards the waters to dive in for a morning swim. Then scan the few who had come out and instantly find her prize. A lone purse left all alone as another had the same idea. It was the easiest thing in the world to simply walk back, snake the tail down from the baggy shorts to hook the strap, curl it back up and be off before anyone was the wiser. A simple pass to to the hand to nab the money and it was deposited not far from another set who were blissfully ignorant to some random girl walking by.
The vendor was an easy few steps away selling fish rolls and eggs. Rice was offered but not needed. The purchase was made and small talk had. Food acquired and eaten the woman simply returned to the beach and plopped a squat to watch as others began their day in earnest. Many had taken to the training fields to show off their work. Others simply enjoyed the waters and splashed around without a care in the world. One enterprising young man had a great misfortune though.
"Hey there, raven hair. Mind iffen I join a beauty like you?""
Katsu looked towards the kid and couldn't help but smile. No older than just turning a man. His hair short and cropped and body sporting only a couple marks from labor. His trunks alone proved no weapons presant. After all, why would he carry such at a party for some peace treaty? An easy target, unexpected and unexpecting. The woman simply pat the sand beside and offered some small talk in turn. As he grew more flirty she let him think she returned it. The entire time a deeper hunger rumbled in her soul. Before long he was suggesting finding somewhere "private". The bestial woman had the perfect place.
Down the beach she kept up the act, leading the man back to her cave. Swaying of hips and batting of eyelashes, the "slip" of clothing to reveal a bit more than was intended. He was hers, hook line and sinker. At this point all she had to do was reel him in. With the mouth of the cave passed, the sun penetrating only a scant few feet into the opening, she sprung her trap. A sultry step taken forward as skin shifted once more. The illusion dismissed at last and her body exposed. Teeth sharpened as another step was taken forward and only now was the deadly weapon noticed. Cocky lust turned to panic but the scream was cut off before uttered. The blade snapped forward and impaled through the throat, snapping the spine. A true meal was had as the beast put to work adding his to hers.
With the man consumed, his muscle and tissue going to work rebuilding hers, the hunger was sated for a time. The pain of augmentation relaxed and her mind cleared. A monster allowed itself to relax in satisfaction as all that remained was bone and blood. The moment was cut somewhat short though. Voices were carried by the wind, another guy and what sounded like a middle aged woman. She could only grin as this night's supper had delivered itself. Once more she changed. This time her skin altered to blend in with the shadowed rock. A couple seals swirled crimson energy around her hands and feet, and the woman scaled the wall to wait in ambush. She left the bones as the bait.
Sure enough a pair had entered. Another man, this one older and much more defined. He carried a makeshift spear, little more than a sharpened stick. She looked ready for little more than recreation. The slight gasp was like music though as both witnessed what had happened. It was all the beast could do to not laugh as they theorized what had happened. A murderer? No it couldn't be, after all why would anyone mutilate their poor boy's body like this. It had to be an animal. An unfortunate accident that lead to their poor son's demise. With a shake of the head the sadistic creature brought her weapon low, pointed right at the back of the man. It was sudden, little more than a jerk, and the blade penetrated his skull. As quickly as it was silent his life was ended, all the evidence being his body hitting the floor. Before his mate could register her suffering would end. A sharp snap to the back of the neck. The spine was severed and lights out like a switch. The beast would eat well today, and her form gain more to reconstitute itself.
