[Open] Free tea!

Inspired by the great many delectable treats and beverages she had discovered and enjoyed in her brief time in Aroma Country, Yozora decided that she would like to give a little bit of the joy she had found back to the others in one of the few ways she knew how. But first, she had to find the perfect locale. She walked quickly along the beach, paying no mind to the throngs of scantily clad vacationers. Her rapid step and tense arm swings would surely signal to any passersby that Yozora was a girl on a mission not to be interrupted. But even in her determination she was not fully distracted from the cozy feeling of her sunwarmed clothes against her skin and the slight breeze that helped keep her in a constant equilibrium of just warm enough. She imagined that her late sensei would have hated this place, with its many people and frivolities. While she missed him dearly, she did not miss his curmudgeonly ways.

That's it! Yozora came upon an empty kiosk on the beach, complete with an awning to keep the sun out her eyes while she worked diligently at her craft. She took off her hat and hung it on a post on the side of the kiosk, which added a nice little flair to quaint stand that she had procured. On the backside of the kiosk were shelves where a few items had been stored, some of which may just come in handy for the task at hand. But first- she would need firewood. She set out along the beach again, with a hawk like focused for any wood that looked suitably dry for burning. It didn't take long before she had plenty enough for her needs and headed back to the kiosk. Luckily for her, one of the items at the back of the kiosk was a shovel, which she used to dig a small put a few feet behind the kiosk which she then placed the firewood into - being careful, of course, to stack the wood in such a way as to allow for optimal airflow, just as her sensei had taught her.

She then pulled out her travel supplies scroll and unsealed the contents, grabbing what she needed and then sealing the rest back away. One of the most important items was her campfire pot hanger tripod, which she positioned over the fire pit, jamming the ends of the three legs into the sand for stability, and adjusted the chain to the appropriate length. Then, using her flint, she started the fire (which took a bit of time, considering the persistent breeze). But before long, she had a steady flame. She hung her tea kettle on the hook and filled it with water, so that it could come to a boil while she set out the rest of her supplies. From her previously unsealed camping supplies, she grabbed up all of her tea jars, each one filled with a different collection of dried leaves. Setting the jars out, she realized that front panel of the kiosk, below the bar, was actually a chalkboard! Which reminded her that she had seen a small collection of colored chalks on the shelf! She grabbed the chalks and set to work writing up her menu:
YOZORA'S TEA FOR FREE MENU:
OOLONG...................................................free
CHAI.......................................................FREE
GREEN....................................................Free!!
HIBISCUS......................................................0
MINT............................................................. :)
JASMINE..........................................1 nothing
GENMAICHA..................................have some!
ROOIBOS.........................................IT'S FREE
CHAMOMILE................................freeeeeeeee
And with that, the preparations were complete! She took her place behind the kiosk, her hands laced neatly together and resting on the wood surface of the counter while she awaited her first "customer".

Having worked the wave pool all day Hayate was thoroughly parched. His already dark skin was probably three shades dark, and sitting out in the heat all day had spent his chakra and metaphorical energy.

He’d been volunteering at this event as a symbol of peace: offering training and fun to any shinobi who wanted to play within the waves. It was a tiring job, bot rewarding to see all the little ninja of the world fighting against the waves and bettering themselves, smiles on their face. The entire event had brought back many fond memories of his youth as an academy teacher. Before Banri- before becoming Raikage. Before any of it.

The next generation was the spark that kept the cylinders of any nation pumping, through hardship and even when the cylinders stopped. This was something core to his being, and in a nostalgic mood, the memories of his students and even his children came to his mind. Hayasu. Eiko. Mariya. So many names danced inside of his head and he lingered on each curious to how they were… but those thoughts soon moved to something else: his driving belief that chakra was a gift to be shared amongst all those worthy. For the betterment and advancement of man. For the evolution of man.

The 5 Ninja Villages had for decades hoarded the secrets of chakra to themselves. They used it to subjugate the minor countries and wage war. They used it to heal their disease. Solve their famines. All while the rest of the world suffered in squalor.

His time as a missing ninja under the Black Ops had taken him to the far reaches of Lightning Country and beyond and he had seen with his own eyes the backwater state the world had been in. He had watched children die of maladies any medical shinobi could have solved with minimal effort.

The feeling he felt today as the leader of an empire, helping the children of Kirigakure or even Iwagakure become stronger… it cemented his belief that ones birth place held no standing in their potential.

But war had always complicated things. His mind mulled the alliances and promises. The politics. The things that forced him from his idealism and into a state where he needed to bow before pragmatism. Letting out a sigh as he entered a tea shop and took a seat he flagged down the staff to order some chamomille tea, his absolute favourite.

Things were complicated. He took a deep breath and waited for the staff to arrive to his seat.

It wasn't long before Yozora looked up to see a rather ragged looking man with white hair approaching her modest little tea stand. She was quite excited to be able to share her tea with people from all over the world! The man sat himself down in a nearby chair, and she could by the way he carried himself that this man had had a long and tiring day. But then again, no... this man's exhaustion seemed to run deeper than just a single day's labor. He wore simple beach clothes, but she could tell from his physique that this man was a trained fighter. Another shinobi. She wondered where he was from, what brought such a tired looking soul to the beach. Regardless, she could tell that this man was in dire need of a soothing cup of perfectly brewed tea!

While Yozora had not intended on providing table service, she decided that it would be rude of her to ask the man to approach the kiosk in her current state, and so she approached the man and gave a modest bow. "Hello! My name is Sunakimi, Yozora- and you seem to be in need of an excellent cup of tea! We, - I have several varieties of high quality teas!" She paused briefly to make a sweeping movement with her right hand, gesturing towards the colorful hand scrawled chalk menu that adorned the front of the kiosk, waving her hand in several quick circles when she reached the right side of the menu to draw the man's attention to the fact that the tea was all free of charge. "What would you like? We, - I also have honey and lavender if you would like to add them!"

Standing in front of the man now, she noticed the scar cut across the man's face - further solidifying her previous deduction that the man was a shinobi, or perhaps a samurai. She held her hands together neatly in front of her and flashed a big, cheesy smile.

As the girl at the tea shop bowed her head, the Raikage would bow his head lower, making a slight aaa cha cha cha groan in pain before moving his hand to his neck. He truly was becoming an old man. First stiff neck, then what, stiff knees? It was all down hill from there.

"Nice to meat you Sunakimi Yozora. Nakajima Hayate." he said with yet another quick bow as his eyes focused on the girls face. Sunakimi? That was a familiar name... but she definitely didn't look like the Sunakimi he knew. Like all names it was likely meant very little and was a different Sunakimi, just like how there was probably dozens of Nakajima families in the world. He cleared his thought.

"Chamomille straight if you could... it's my favourite tea." the white haired man said as he looked about the shop. "This is probably a stupid question given its a tea stand, but would you happen to have food by chance? Or maybe you can give me a small cup of honey too... I.... need calories..." he said with a defeated, tired look. He'd used a lot of chakra and food was the best way to restore it.

The man introduced himself as Nakajima Hayate. Surely...surely, she had misheard the man. And if she had not misheard him, surely this was not the Nakajima Hayate, Raikage and emperor of her home nation, with a pained neck begging for food on the beach in a foreign country! But, after the initial moment of shock and surprise had passed (which were surely visible on the young ronin's face), it was clear to her that this was the case. After a brief, but awkward pause, Yozora responded to his question. "Oh! No, well, I, yes, I do!"

While it wasn't exactly on the menu, Yozora did, of course, have food to share with him: and luckily, it was one of the tastier snacks that she had managed to procure during her time in Aroma country! She reached into her hakama where the treats were secured, pulled out a small paper bag, and passed it to the man. There were only a few left, and she hoped that they were enough to satisfy his cravings (though she did, of course, have her typical travel fare if he needed more food). Inside the bag he would find a handful of sweet and spicy dumplings: semi-circles of crispy deep fried dough filled with a mixture of beansprouts, ground pork, sesame seeds, a hint of ginger and garlic which had been cooked in chili oil and honey. The crispy dumpling was then dusted with a mixture of sea salt and a bit of sugar, which helped to activate the taste buds. While she hated to part with one of her beloved Aroma Country discoveries, the man seemed tired and in more need of it than her.

After passing the dumplings to him, Yozora continued: "Would you, um, like to have some- honey in your tea?" After the man answered, she would head back to her kiosk where she would meticulously place just the right amount of chamomile tea into her infuser, placing it into the cup, and pouring hot water from her kettle into the cup. As the tea steeped, Yozora's mind continued to reel. Should she say something? What would she say? This was the man who had lead the shinobi of Kumo against the samurai of Lightning Country, the conflict that had claimed the lives of both of her parents. The man feared and/or revered by everyone she ever met. And while Satori-sensei had never spoken ill of him, she could tell that his feelings toward the man were... complicated. And here he was, rubbing his neck and complaining, just like the old people from her village used to do.

As the tea steeped, Yozora knelt to her supplies and unsealed Satori-sensei's Hitai-ate from her supplies scroll. She then removed the infuser, and (having already forgotten whether or not he wanted honey with his tea), placed her stoneware teacup upon a small serving dish along with a small cup of honey. She approached Hayate, handing him the tea plate with her right hand as she firmly clutched the Hitai-ate in her left hand at her side. Anyone even remotely observant would be able to detect the slight tremble of her hands.

After passing the tea to him, Yozora would bow deeply- sign enough that she had recognized the emperor. Hayate-sama, it is an honor to meet you." Her thoughts then came pouring out in a nervous ramble, revealing more than she had originally intended. "I am a war orphan of Lightning Country and student of Kumogakure shinobi Sunakimi, Satori."

A bare footed older man walked calmly along the soft sands of the beach front on this day, his clear eyes scanning the horizon. Who would have thought that the old hermit Rakurai would have journeyed out to enjoy this 'peaceful' festival. The man who was fighting for the honor of Lighting Country and the Hidden cloud village decades before most of the people he saw today were even born. It was a bit out of character for the man to make such a journey, but he had also recently returned from his self-imposed time away from the village, most had honestly believed that the man up in his seventies had died until he randomly showed back up. Though his body showed the signs of age, it almost appeared that he was still in a form of fighting shape as he wore a robe of black and gold that covered only the right half of his upper body, the robe secured on his right shoulder through a shoulder pauldron that sported the Hidden Cloud engraving upon it.

Toushi was still sorting through the old man's decades of memories, truly a lifetime worth, as they blended with his own at times making it difficult to recall his own clearly but in this new, albeit strange body, the former bannin was still attempting to get his baring on the state of his homeland and the world at large with war seemingly hovering on the horizon. Shaking his head the man's mohawk like hair that was shaved on the sides allowing the locks atop to lay to the right side and his long beard blowing across his body from the cool sea breeze. Everything felt different, it was difficult to explain really as he turned his palmed upward seeing the foreign hands that were his but at the same time not his. 'How odd, this feeling.' Dark black on black eyes that appeared only half open lifted from the aged hand towards a small tea stand. "Well, well...'

Through the edges of the stand he saw the young man, Toushi had two separate sets of memories as the former bannin recalled the exploits of the Kage while the old man's memories remembered the Nakajima boy before all that. Both had varying opinions on the middle-aged man but neither disputed the strength of the man who brought about the Lightning Empire. 'Why not.' With a hint of a smile on the wrinkled man's face he continued to walk at his normal pace, her words to her customer causing the man to pause slightly, but he only shook his head lightly as this world was different than he remembered. As he broke the entrance thresh hold the man lifted his head revealing his tall statue but spoke softly despite the deep voice of his. "Good morning."

A simple greeting for her as he walked up before taking a seat, leaving a single empty chair between himself and Hayate, almost as some sort of buffer space before he studied the menu on the chalk board for a moment as he mumbled to himself, "So many choices." Allowing the two of them to continue chatting as he thought about his order.
