Beach Field Trip

A group of young kids arrived under the chaperon of an older man, a jounin level teacher assigned to keep track of the Sky Reach academy students who had traveled from the Cresent Coalition to Aroma country. It was a journey of many purposes, one for the younger students who knew little more than the countryside around the academy to see the neighboring countries and meet others of their generation. Plus, it served as a means to let others know that the Cresent Coalition had started teaching the way of chakra to their countrymen, starting with the younger generation who would eventually grow up to serve and protect the recently created nation. But this was perhaps a double-edged technique, as many believed that chakra was only for the great Nations and their Hidden Villages, but taking a note from the Lightning Empire, the new country was attempting to do something similar.

Amongst this group was a young man, looking barely the age of twelve but perhaps a few inches short for his age having not found his growth spurt just yet, a elegant looking Japanese style robe flowed around his upper half mixing with blue and white fabric. His own snow-white hair was a bit shaggy, hanging down on each side of his head at around two-to-three inches in length. A wide smile on his face as they entered the beach area, this being his first time seeing such a place as he couldn't help but look from left-to-right and back at all the different people, the vendors, everything was like he was getting to experience it for the first time. "This place is so different from the small villages back around the school." The Sky Reach academy was upon a large mountain range and one had to descend down the mountainside in order to visit any of the nearby villages for different reasons. Yet here, just the number of stores and restaurants on this single main street they were walking down as a group was more than he'd seen in his entire life. The trip had already been quite the adventure for sure, but it had peaked the moment they crested over some terrain that looked down into the ocean front beach area, even causing the young man to pause in his tracks as he took in the wide horizon from side-to-side. "So, this is the ocean he talked about."

Ziv remanence about a time speaking with his father, the last time he spoke with the man, one of the things he told the youth about was the grand oceans that surrounded the mainland, but it was one thing to attempt to imagine it and another to see it in person for the first time. "Woah...." His mouth hung open for a moment before he came back to his senses and realized that he'd fallen a bit behind from his group. The older man escorting them looked back and gestured with his head to catch up and the white-haired boy quickened his pace to fall back into the group. Passing by a number of different people, the youth couldn't help but take note of the number of shinobi that had come to attend the festival here in Aroma, seeing forehead protectors and the like that showed the pride for their own nation and village, while his group was a bit more say secretive about who they belonged to at the moment. Perhaps in time that would change but the teachers had instructed them before leaving the school ground that they were by no means to do anything that would put a bad image on them or the slowly growing reputation of the Sky Reach academy. They were told that there were many who didn't believe or see the Cresent Coalition as a true country due to the backgrounds of some of the founders, perhaps Ziv and his classmates would be able to change a bit of that on this trip. At least he hoped he could garner some not necessarily fame but more so reputation for the school.

Finally, the group arrived at a six-story hotel, bringing their items inside and being assigned rooms with two other students, they all met back down in the lobby with the older man who took accountability of them and started to speak as he placed his arms behind his back. "Everyone here has been briefed about the festival, be on your utmost behavior while you are here. I will be out an about with you lots, do not let me find you young ones causing trouble, or I'll make you stay in the hotel the entire time. Am I understood?" The group of about twelve kids all nodded attentively as he glanced around the group making sure to make eye contact with each and every one of them before he nodded to himself and smiled. "Then please enjoy the festival, everyone shall be back here at nineteen hundred. Once everyone is back, we will go to dinner as a group, on me of course." While the older man had said it would be on him, it was of course some money that the school had sent with him for various expenses, after all, how could someone on a teacher's salary feed twelve kids? What a joke!

With a wave of his hand like an announcer start a race, the children seemed to almost disappear with speed that didn't belong to regular kids, the older teacher could only shake his head at their energy, if only he still had that much energy. Smirking he shook his head and turned on his heels to also exit the hotel, heading straight to the beach to admire the 'scenery'.

For Ziv, having changed into some white and blue shorts and a matching style short sleeved shirt he dashed out of the lobby of the hotel, bidding his quick goodbyes to the rest of his fifth-year classmates that had made the journey, there would be time for them all to hang out later for sure so for the meantime he wanted to just get out and do some sightseeing, perhaps people watching to as he'd never seen so many people in one place either. He was especially looking forward to interacting with those of the great villages, wanting to assess for himself the words of his father. Perhaps he could find others like himself and Yume, perhaps there was even room to build relationship and friendships with them that could carry on into the future. His aspirations were definitely higher than those of his father at this point, who knew what would happen on this trip or who'd he manages to meet in the process of exploring the grand beach festival here in Aroma country.

Unbelievable, they had just started school, well, it had been a month or two but they had finally been allowed to travel outside of school grounds without them having to break out of class for once, what was even better was the fact that they had been taken on a trip to another country. Their headmaster thought it would be a good idea for the children of the orphanage to travel to Aroma Country so they could mingle with the ninjas and samurai of the world, so that they could get inspired or deterred from whatever they experienced, much to the teacher's dismay.

Yume couldn't complain, he was happy that they finally didn't have to sit all cooked up within the walls of the classrooms and the endless halls that took them from one box to the other, Yami was happy, he had been trying his best to understand Rei, especially after their short turmoil while Yume did his best to avoid that "psychopath" as he so gently put it. He knew full well that she was too strong to deal with as of now so it was best to try to stay on her good side, Ziv seemed to be stronger than her but he was way calmer, which was good, for if he carried the same level of confidence as Rei then the group would probably end up in a lot of trouble.

Best make sure that his ego doesn't get the best of him. Yume looked at Ziv, he wasn't sure about what he was thinking but the idea that his friend could one-day turn megalomaniac wasn't out of the question, he had seen how the teachers looked at Ziv, as if he had some important past or connection that the school tried their best to keep quiet. Yume experienced a bit similar story but somewhat different, it wasn't really around Sky-Reach that he was treated with respect, it was in Libertalis, for reasons he had yet to find out.

Enough of the thinking. Yume slapped his knees and leaned back, the carriage to Aroma Country would take a while so he did his best to enjoy the ride. He did his best to pick up the names of the villages they passed by and try out new cuisines during their travels, as that was one of the benefits of his troubled past, the knowledge that different countries had different customs, whether it was food or clothing so Yume always did his best to experience as much as he could while he was there, he felt that it was appropriate as he one day hoped to be able to have traveled to all the discovered countries.

Ironically, Aroma Country was both a beauty to gaze at, Yume was smiling ear from ear all the way towards the six-story hotel by the palm trees. Yume and Yami followed Ziv and listened to the elderly teacher, his twin was eyeing Hozok who seemed to be further in the back, Nehan had chosen to take another route, perhaps she wasn't coming at all, while Rei and Kasuma were busy discussing if Yume was none the wiser then he'd expect the two of them to share cooties pretty soon. Gross. Yume leaped out of the back window, he didn't even let the teacher finish his speech before he was already out and dashing down the wall.

His Twin had stayed behind to inspect Ziv, and keep Hozok and the teacher busy, while his brother got to enjoy freedom, Yami already knew that Yume would want to clique up with Ziv so it was pointless to leave the spot for now. The two of them always acted vice versa, if one was playful then the other tended to be downtrodden, so for once Yami was the levelled one. He listened until he was allowed to leave, the 2D shadow followed Ziv until he felt confident enough to climb out of the shadows and appear next to his friend. "So what do you think Aroma is like?" His dark voice called to his friend.

Ziv was the first one to have heard his voice, he was the only one Yami felt confident enough to talk to, with Yume he didn't need to share words and with the rest, he just gestured but Ziv had been the first one he had found as a friend. The black-haired boy scratched his shoulder as he looked around, his green eyes connected with Ziv's as a smile grew on his face. The two of them looked uncanny, Yume and Ziv, while Yami appeared like a darker version of his brother, his colors were almost inverse. Purple and black instead of white and the other colors his brother likes to play around with.

Yume was busy bobbing his head as he confidently walked down the marketplace, his head focused on finding the country's national cuisine, not focusing on Hozok who was slowly moving about 100 meters behind him, deep in thoughts while his twin was on the opposite side of the village. "Aren't you tired of training all the time? Let's relax and find some... What do they call them? Women? That's what Hozok said boys should be focused on." Yami shrugged and scratched his black hair, he wasn't sure what he meant by that as neither of the brothers had hit puberty so girls were just weird, and for some reason, they needed to protect them.

Yami shadow-boxed to suggest that if Ziv didn't want to change his mind then he would be down to spar with him if that could get them to enjoy their free time, especially now that they had some time away from Yume, perhaps they could meet some new people, perhaps Ziv could be the one that made Yami brave enough to meet them. Would Yami really speak to other people before Yume got to hear his brother's voice? That would be a bit cruel but also a bit funny, well, that all really depended on what happened next, it was all left up to fate.

The scene wasn't like the first few times that he'd been surprised by Yami, the shadow twin of his good friend Yumi, they could often be found apart, and it wasn't uncommon for the twin to interact with Ziv, it was almost like having another friend even if the young boy still didn't truly understand the fellow student's companion. But while he wasn't surprised that the shadow twin had popped up next to him as he was running, as he had noticed that Yume had been one of the first to slip away, what did surprise the young student was that the shadow actually spoke. It was enough to cause for the white-haired kid to do a double take, almost crashing into to a vendor cart that came out of an adjacent side street forcing him to leap over it, coming down in a forward shoulder roll before landing on his feet. His previous momentum carrying over as he slid forward several feet on the sandy street's surface which made stopping even harder than normal, but regaining control of his body he finally was able to stop. "Yami, I honestly didn't know if you could talk or not." It was a rather blatant statement, but what could you expect from a twelve-year-old kid. Shaking his head for a second, he regained some of his own composure in the brief pause as he dusted himself off from the sand he'd kicked up and as he dusted off his shoulder, he looked back to Yami and spoke. "I'm not sure. There is so much to see and do here that I'm not really sure where to even start, my friend. But is should be a great time."

Ziv spoke back to the shadow twin, his voice sounded like his size, a bit tiny with a slightly high pitch as he spoke to the companion as though it was just another person. He was truly interested in what the beach front town within Aroma country had to offer at this international festival, it was hard for him to believe or even understand that a place this beautiful would host such an event. To bring together all who wished to participate, even those who were currently pitted against one another as enemies could potentially be setting across a table from one another in a restaurant in a peaceful manner. But would that truly happen? Would those with such deep-seated grudges truly be able to put down those same unpaid debts for just this festival. Who really knew and honestly it was far above the current thoughts of the Sky Reach student as he smiled back at Yami now. Maybe when he was older would he be able to understand the significance of such a place that attempted to bring the world together to celebrate in a peaceful manner, perhaps the rest of the nations could learn something from a place such as this.

"Haha, I wouldn't really call this actual training. But if I'm not fast enough who knows what I might miss!" With a playful look on his face in the moment Ziv turned on the balls of his feet and took off in a dead sprint, it was true that he actually wasn't looking to train but that didn't mean he needed to take his time or from his perspective waste any time as he already had a few destinations in mind from the flyers that he'd seen inside the lobby of the large motel that he was staying at. " Keep up if you can!" Yelling out to his friend, the boy took off in a dead sprint, but it wasn't just like they were racing on a track or down an old dirt path like back in Cresent on the school grounds. Here there were tons of people everywhere, more than he'd ever seen in one place and he had to weave his body in and out of the crowds searching for the tiny opening that appeared and disappeared with the mobs of people that were attending to all manner of things here in the festival grounds. The youthful kid was treating the entire thing as a little game between the two of them, as he wasn't quite sure just how face the shadow twin was, being hard to judge his actual speed due to the ability of Yami to shift between 2D and 3D making actually tracking him with an untrained eye rather difficult to do.

But as he leaped over a man pushing a cart across the street a certain idea hit the mind of the fifth year, with a smirk on his face as he landed and rolled from leaping over the cart only to hear the middle aged man behind him yelling something at his back, Ziv channeled some chakra into his feet as he ran up the side of the building to his left side before jumping off the vertical wall of the building and dodging into a narrower side street that could have almost been called an alleyway. From there he reached out using his unassuming strength to grab hold of a thin pole that had a festival flag on it, spinning around it before launching himself diagonally upwards even higher towards the wall of another building before he twisted his body around in order to allow for his feet to be traveling first and landing on the wall. The thin layer of chakra that was still coating the bottom of his wooden sandals clicked gently each time his foot struck the stone wall as he ran up it, reaching the top he planted the middle of his right foot right along the corner of the rooftop and then pushed with his strength to launch himself now up on top of ceramic tile roofing. Landing gently at the peak of the roof of the couple story building, Ziv quickly glanced around wondering if he'd managed to shake his pursuer in this friendly game that he'd started.

Yami chuckled as he reached out and grabbed Ziv to stabilize him, he had forgotten that he hadn't heard him when he finally spoke to him when he had gotten kidnapped, but now that the cat was out of the bag he felt comfortable in at least sharing with him that he could speak. Yume was out and about somewhere else enjoying ice cream while Yami got the good fortune to scare his friend, he hadn't gotten the best time to socialize with him so he figured that now that they found themselves in Aroma Country they could bond. "Well, you are the first one to hear me speak friend, consider yourself lucky.” The deep-voiced twin chuckled as he looked around to see if anyone would catch what they said.

Yami pulled out his version of slither that was dark green instead of indigo, he slashed twice at the leaves before he sheathed the weapon again. "Whatever happens out here I got your back, if worst comes to worst we only have to survive until the samurai come and save our skins. At least that was what the old geezer said.” Yami turned to face Ziv who seemed more interested in running, with a smirk growing on the shadow twin's face he nodded at his white-haired friend before he looked toward where he was heading. Perhaps we should play a little game of tag, to see who's faster. I believe Yume and Ziv raced against each other in the aptitude test, which Yume barely won, so there's a chance he's gotten faster since then, but so have we. Yami grinned.

"I'll give you a ten seconds heads up.” The boy rubbed his hands and cracked his neck as he prepared to give chase. "I will chase you first but if I tag you then you are it.” Yami chuckled, he got down on all fours, his pseudo muscles contracted as his clothes folded around the knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows. Yami's eyes never left Ziv who was bobbing and weaving between the crowd, a problem the shadowy twin wouldn't have to deal with, but today he was here to try something different, he was going to have some fun with it, he wasn't just going to train his speed but he was also going to train a jutsu, one that would allow him to shapeshift, for there were more ways than humanoid combat styles that could harm the enemy.

Ten! Yami ran on all four and soon black glob covered his entire body, the blob shrunk and soon a black cat ran down the busy streets, the sand beaches buckled under the mighty weight of the black cat that chased the white-haired boy. Yami zoomed between the legs of the passing civilians as he gave chase after Ziv, he aimed to get as close as possible before attempting to nibble at his heels. After the fourth attempt, he would transform back into a human shape and dive after the boy before shapeshifting into a crow that flew after the boy.

The crow cried out as it tried to nibble at Ziv's head as he jumped over the man pushing the cart across the streets, Yami shifted back to human shape to extend his reach, missed and rolled past his friend and chuckled with the boy as he too looked back at the old man. "Sorry old man.” Yami bit down on a green apple and chuckled, revealing why he had missed Ziv. His laughter stopped once he saw Ziv grab a pole and launch himself high up into the wall, causing the kid to toss the fruit and dive into the wall. Black goo splashed off against the wall and began to swim upwards as it gave chase to the white-haired boy, once it cleared the edge a great black eagle would swoop after him.

"You are not getting away that easy!” Yami chuckled.

Somewhere around the ground level, Yume was amazed by the difference in culture and took in as much as he could, the main cuisine was delicious and he was now trying out a pineapple grapefruit ice cream, said to be hailed from an old warrior that helped create Aroma. Sounds like a load of crap but it tastes like magic! Yume was in heaven, he loved this country, the atmosphere, the music, the taste in food, the culture, the —What was that noise again? Yume heard a voice that sounded similar to the one they had heard in by the Griffin's nest, it was Yami's voice, one that Yume had yet to put a finger on as his twin brother had yet to speak to the boy due to their telepathic capabilities.

"There's that voice again?” Yume stopped licking the ice cream and looked around for the source of that voice.

Yami watched Ziv look back to see if he was still pursuing him, when in fact he had flown above and past him then turned 2d to creep up to him. He turned three-dimensional when he looked back, he leaned in and almost rested his chin on his shoulder. "Tag, you're it.” Yami chuckled as he slowly started to back away until he reached the edge, he performed a back flip before turning into a crow that swooped down towards the street levels, once he was close enough to touch the ground he would turn into a small rat and begin to scurry away as a small rodent.

Good luck catching me now! Yami chuckled as he rushed past Yume who was disgusted by the sight of such a massive rat running past him, he looked over in its direction for a couple of seconds before he spotted Ziv giving chase to the rat. "Yo, where are you running off to? Did you see that huge rat!?" Yume couldn't finish his little speech before Ziv would have turned the corner, especially if he wanted to keep up with Yami. "Ditched yet again..." Yume sighed as he continued to walk down another path, perhaps he would have the chance to run into Rei or perhaps Kazuma?

Nozomi was currently practicing more sensory jutsu this time it was a wind sensory jutsu. She was using shadow clones to speed up the training process as they would all be practicing it to try and speed up the training time. At first they would work on building off the existing wind jutsu, as they trained they noticed there would be a crescent ninja around here training as well. This reminded her of the recent competition coming up recently. Which is another reason to make sure she trained more jutsu.

Currently her only means of sensing is default sensory and chiton which both could be blocked by kiri ninja. So she had to make another more difficult to block sensory jutsu now. If there was a competition coming she wanted to make sure she could beat other Kirigakure ninja especially as tensions in the houses were starting to ramp up. Eventually she would manage to get the jutsu to give moving images for everything within 58 meters. Which was useful but she still didn’t have the jutsu completely finished she wanted to make sure she could use it in combat so one clone would poof to transfer the knowledge to all other clones and Nozomi.

She would then have the clones fight one on one each other with their eyes closed using only wind sensory to fight and detect their opponents movements. Meanwhile Nozomi would be walking around the area with one other clone with both of their eyes closed using the wind sensory to practice seeing with it as they also used vibration sensing to make sure they wouldn’t run into anything.

As the clones fought and Nozomi walked around exploring the area they slowly got more and more proficient with the jutsu that was trying to be made. Eventually they were able to fight normally with only using the jutsu to see. Because of that the real Nozomi would practice running around full speed now. Since they were able to function with the jutsu as their new sense of sight now the final step was to be able to use other sensory jutsu through this jutsu.

They would try using various techniques including one that was recently developed. To analyze jutsu through sensory techniques. But because of the clones all practicing as well they managed to eventually finish the jutsu that was being trained and successfully finish it.

Now that they finished it, they would have the shadow clones poof as they started to rest to recover their chakra as well as try and think what sort of other jutsu they should train.

The user will do a series of hand seals and place their hands in the air. Releasing waves of chakra out of their hands. These waves of chakra will be one continuous reaching out to 70 meters in the air. As the chakra touches something it will evoke an image in the users head of everything it touches within a 70m area. As well as anything up to 25 meters in the air. These are continually moving images allowing the user to use this jutsu to track up to up to control/4 targets of their choice. It also has the added benefit of working with other sensory Jutsu.

The sensor will activate this supplementary technique in addition to a sensory jutsu. For the next [control/5] posts, any time anyone within eyesight beings to prepare a jutsu, the user will see their chakra. By focusing on the chakra with their mind’s eye, the user can quickly determine the affinity, rank, prerequisites, effects, amount of chakra, and control (for ninjutsu), willpower (for genjutsu),
or a combination of those as appropriate, used in the target technique. The user will be able to determine the speed and trajectories of any projectiles they can see. Because of the previously mentioned abilities the user can also use this jutsu to copy any jutsu they see. Copying jutsu follows Fukusha rules with the exception of the user is able to permanently remember any jutsu and keep it as long as it’s a archive jutsu or the user has ooc permission to keep the jutsu if it’s custom. If the user doesn’t have permission they forget the jutsu when this jutsu ends.

"Where is he..." The white-haired kid was looking around as stood up slowly from the peak of the rooftop, his bright eyes scanning the vast number of building and rooftops that one could see in nearly all directions from his point of view, this being the first time for him visiting a true major city like this. But there was a soft smile on the boy's thin lips at the moment as this was truly the first time for him ever playing a game of tag. Due to his up bringing and where he had been sadly raised there hadn't been a place for such childish things, there everyone was expected to train to become a fighter, a warrior, while Ziv truly just wanted to understand what it meant to be a kid sometimes. His head turned to look back out towards the slope of buildings in front of him, where one could see how the terrain and natural environment sloped down to the water's edge now. It was something else that he couldn't wait to do, swim in the ocean, he'd even heard that the water tasted salty. In that moment the Yami had managed to slip by him being in his two-dimensional form and then reverting back to normal as he found himself almost cheek to cheek with him now.

Startled he yelled out, "What the heck!" as he stumbled backwards and nearly fell backwards off the edge of the roof before he managed to recover a few feet from the edge. "Heh." Ziv tried to let out a slightly nervous laugh, attempting to play off how he just screamed almost like a little girl when Yami had surprised him. The ability for the shadow twin to move about quietly and for the most part unseen was amazing, it would make for him being able to infiltrate places or sneak by others on missions almost too easy, or at least that was the thoughts in the young man's mind as he straightened up and nodded to his friend. "Fair enough, seems I underestimated you." Ziv truly had, though he'd been friend with both Yume and his shadow twin Yami, the latter really didn't speak, at least before today, with him and he only got to see glimpses of what the figure was capable of. Today he'd gotten a bit more understanding and offered credit where it was do for his companion as he smirked and nodded back that he was ready just as the other started to back away.

He thought about giving the boy ten seconds like he'd done for him, but now that he was beginning to truly understand just how easy it was for the shadow twin to maneuver through places and people due to his special ability, the boy immediately threw that thought right out the window and as the figure backflipped off the edge and immediately shifted into the form of a bird. "So that's how!" He yelled out, not really at Yami himself but the fact that he could do more than the simple two dimensional to three dimensional but also into the form of other creatures, this just went from normal difficulty to very hard in the blink of an eye. Chakra circulated through his body, but it was mainly being pushed into his lower body as he leaned forward and bent at the knees, his body falling forward to the point that it was almost at a forty-five-degree angle before he pushed hard off his legs, understanding that speed really wasn't he strong suit he still chased with all his might. Rapidly approaching the edge, he didn't slow down as chakra flowed into his feet as he matched up his distance do that his foot would actually miss the edge as he stepped past it. This caused his body to appear to fall forward over the edge as his foot that stepped past the edge came into contact with the wall directly below the edge of the roofing. Sticking to it via the tree walking technique that every young shinobi was taught in order to facilitate learning to properly control their chakra, Ziv was no headed straight down the wall at close to his full speed.

As his bright blue eyes caught sight of the black crow nearing the ground he could see it shift again just before it hit the ground, now taking on the form of a rather disgusting giant rat that was bigger than a normal rat, perhaps closer to a possum or racoon in size. "It's almost like cheating..." Before he managed to hit the ground, literally running, the large shadow rat had shot out into the main road and was rapidly scurrying away. Landing almost in a crouched position he leaped up and ran out into the street and turned to follow the smaller shadow rat but just as he did, he saw his own 'twin' who Yami had just ran beside. "Hey Yume! No time to talk, got to catch that rat!" There was no real context to his words, even as he wanted to stop and explain and see what his friend was up to, he couldn't, or he'd lose sight of the small rodent he was chasing. In a flash the white-haired student zipped by his comrade and barely was able to catch a glimpse of the shadow rat turning the next corner. 'Having to push harder or I'm going to lose him!' Trying to self-motivate him the boy tried to increase his own speed as he quickly reached the corner sliding into it as he began to accelerate again looking for any signs of his 'tag' partner.

Yami wanted to laugh but due to him being by crowds of people he shied away from it, instead, he focused on making sure that he was one step ahead. The giant possum/rat scurried through the busy streets, scaring the citizens as the thing looked quite menacing, heck, it gave off the impression that Ziv was some sort of animal control sent to take care of this disgusting creature. Another flash of thought almost made the boy laugh, instead, he transformed back to human form, See, you think you are the only one capable of pulling some tricks out of your sleeves huh? he stuck out his tongue and pointed at Yume and Ziv before switching over to a large black cat, figuring that the appearance of a cat wouldn't cause so much panic. The cat leaped up the roof of the makeshift marketplace, slipping between the hanging curtains and using the shade to hide his true form as he continued to run away from Ziv. Yami had so far deducted that he was faster than Ziv but he wasn't as cunning as he was, he had seen through the shared memory he and Yume shared that Ziv always seemed like the type to figure out the path of least resistance, while Rei seemed more like the brutish type who fights her way to victory, she had indeed impressed him when she bested his brother, a feat that made him respect her a little, even though she was a bit raging mad.

Yami leaped down from the rooftops and continued to scurry through the busy streets until he turned left twice and began to run back towards the area where Nozomi was last seen practicing with her clones, Yami had no idea what was ahead but he figured that he needed to come up with another plan or else he would either drain Yume of his chakra pool or get caught by Ziv. Theatrics. The cat giggled, if anyone truly paid attention to the random cat running down the ally then they would hear the strange noise, hopefully, they wouldn't be able to deduce his plan, he expected Ziv to at least have an inkling that the noise was Yami trying to giggle in cat form.

Not far from their little game of tag, was Nozomi, training a jutsu, unbeknownst to her the shadow twin hastily made his way toward her, had he known that whatever happened would be the likely outcome then Yami wasn't all too certain that he would go for it again, the shadow boy was a fickle one after all. Oh, she looks cute, I bet she could help me win the game of tag... Yami leaped up Nozomi's shoulder, appearing as if he was hiding from the mean white-haired boy that had given chase to the cute little cat, he even hissed at Ziv once he got closer in order to sell the bit that he was afraid of him, all the while he was fighting the urge to laugh at his friend, what a fun situation he had found himself in, what would he do? Would he attempt to go for the cat and startle Nozomi perhaps? Or would he try to bargain? Would she trust him? Heck, would she even trust the cat? You know who didn't know the outcome of any of this?

Yume, for he was out and about trying to relax but the sight of a massive possum and his friend giving chase after it really spoiled his appetite, the curious part of him wanted to follow Ziv and find out what the fuzz was all about but the longer he thought about it the more he realized that every time he found himself close to Yume outside of class or recess they got in trouble, so for once, he had chosen to just be by himself (Or so he thought, for Hozok wasn't all that far behind him) The teacher was making on women and keeping an eye out on both Yume and any prying eyes that took an interest in either of them, Hozok knew that Ziv was being tailed by another Avian teacher by the orders of Warui, Dude doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. Hozok shook his head as he continued to follow Yume.

It was true, the psychiatrist had evaluated that Yume and Ziv were not a good pair, that Rei and Kazuma would also lead Ziv astray, Hozok, on the other hand, believed that the four of them with the help of Desu and a few other teachers could train the team to become a powerful squad that could change the course of history, therefor it was outmost important that they raised them with true and just morals, that was why he had signed up at least, he didn't know why Desu had joined, nor why someone like Nehan would, or Ikanbi? Perhaps they seek redemption like I? Hozok closed his eyes and nodded by himself as he continued to track the white-haired boy. The sun was hot and the day seemed to be pretty chill, so Hozok couldn't complain, his student wasn't acting up so he got a chance to enjoy the vacation as well, his brother, on the other hand, was on his own, Yami and Ziv were to deal with the Nozomi situation as best as they could.

Their teacher was a bit on the older side so he took his time trying to catch up to the running children, though they had yet to escape his sensory. The old man may be a bit slow, but he still had a few tricks up his sleeve, he even made sure that his chakra sensory was covered by anti-sensory chakra to combat the boys from trying anything funny and to conceal his actions which he would play off as harmless, and with papers and a quick explanation he was sure that they'd let him go with a warning.

The chase was still on as he quickly began to realize that Yami was much faster than either himself or Yume, added to the fact his ability to shape shift and even flatten into a realistic looking shadow, this was truly a crisis for the youth who was trying to catch the shadow twin. Slipping between a pair of fruit stands he had temporarily lost sight with his 'prey' but in that moment he saw the twin shift back into his full human form, making him easier to spot in the crowd street compared to that tiny rodent form he had just been in a few moments earlier. 'There!' Ziv mentally yelled as he made eye contact with the shadow boy, but in that moment his friend's companion stuck his tongue out at them. "Why you!" It seemed that the shadow was actually just playing with the fifth-year student as he shifted his weight forward and channeled some chakra directly into his legs again seeing a straight-line path that would help him gain a little ground as he shot after his friend now, the game was still a foot.

'Need to close the gap.' Though his opponent was faster than him, he could still use the terrain and hopefully some strategy to cut some corners, both literally and figuratively to aid him in actually catching the shapeshift. Again, the shadow shifted its form, this time into a large black cat, not like a panther or anything to crazy just a large house cat that sprinted off again. 'How many forms does he know?!' Ziv was both impressed and equally frustrated with the rapid ability of the shadow twin to shift forms and the sheer number of forms that he was able to transform him. How useful it must be for him in a real-life scenario let alone here in their game of tag. Up ahead he could see the cat using its small stature to leap up onto the top of some of the market stand, looking to ascend onto the nearby building so Ziv formed hand seals as he ran and flicked his left hand up toward the roof ledge off to his front left, five slender chakra strength shot upwards toward the edge making contact as he pulled down with the arm and at the same time shortened the chakra strings.

This combined motion from both sides literally threw himself upwards, launching him up and over the edge of the roof as he came down along the spine of the tile roof top, crouching as he landed to help absorb the impact before taking off sprinting straight down the center of the roof top as the black cat also made his own appearance around a building ahead. 'I'm getting closer.' Almost as though the cat could hear his thoughts, he dipped off the edge of a building back down onto a cart and ultimately into the crowd as Ziv transitioned over to running near the ledge of the rooftop now, his bright blue gaze sweeping the thick crowd of people below before he was able to see a slender feline shadow slipping easily through the feet and legs of the crowded marketplace. 'I've got to figure out how to get ahead of him.' For the next couple moments, he focused on keeping pace with the cat as he maintained the high ground but with the shadow twin's speed and small size, he would ultimately lose track of the cat about ten seconds later forcing him to descend from the rooftop down onto the ground to search for him.

"Where could that guy have gotten off to?" The white-haired kid simply shook his head as he stopped near an alleyway to recenter himself, in that moment he heard almost what sounded like a faint giggling coming from his left down that very alleyway. 'Seems all isn't lost just yet!' The giggling shadow had exposed himself, now back on the trail of his tag partner the boy turned left and ran down the alley way spotting the wiggling tail end of a black cat that was already at the other end of the building that turned a second left and disappeared from sight. 'Crap!' Lightly cursing at both fellow friend and him he followed rapidly in trace of the cat's route and soon also turned left into the somewhat less crowded street of people, but little did he know was that Yami had such a cunning streak. It only took probably around fifteen or twenty seconds for Ziv to find the catch, but he was trying to perch himself onto the shoulder of a young woman, one he didn't recognize and wondered if this was something that Yami had met before or if he was truly pulling this stranger into their game of tag.

"Found you!" He called out as he started to come within vocal range of the shadowy cat, but then he found the 'cat' putting on a little show for the woman that he was trying to make friends with or perhaps better said to deceive into helping him out against Ziv in this game. "Don't try to hide behind her, sorry miss, but I need that cat." The boy really wasn't sure how to explain their currently ongoing situation of tag, without exposing that Yami wasn't really a cat, as who knew how she would react if she found out that some random dude was trying to jump on her shoulder. All he could do now was keep a bit of a distance, three to five meters there abouts, from Nozomi, who appeared at least a few years older than them. "Yami, don't bother the lady." Ziv spoke again and appeared to pat at his thigh as if telling the cat to come his way.

Just as she was about to make the shadow clones disappear to rest one of them sensed the incoming solid shadow cat. Figuring it was some sort of trick or attack from Konoha she quickly tried to think of something quick. Poison most likely wouldn’t work, or would it? She thought but then figured better to catch it so she started to work with her clones to make a Tenkujutsu water prison so after working on the jutsu using her shadow clones to speed up the time to make the jutsu she would combine Tenkujutsu with Suiton to make up to four orbs of water appear two of them floated around her while the other two headed towards the strange shadow cat.

The first orb would be heading straight towards it as it was in mid air and the second would be put in stand by used to limit the creatures escape routes or at least stop its approach. The orb would head at speed 25 and trap the creature at strength 40 because of its special tenku sealing ability even if the cat turned into 2d if it made contact the creature would be trapped inside. The creature would then be stuck inside unless it had a way to break out with brute force or found some other method. Also if the shadow my some strange reason needed oxygen it wouldn’t be able to breathe normally because the prison was filled with water.

Then if it trapped the shadow and ziv arrived she would look at him suspiciously and say “who are you? And why do you need the cat? Do you know why that cat was heading towards me?”

She would then wait for his answer and depending on his answer she would release the jutsu. Allowing him to grab the cat.

The orbs look like a normal water prison orb but when they hit or get within 2 meter of a target or pass into or near the space it’s occupying it draws the target in at control strength regardless of if the target is made of solid matter it can also suck in inanimate solid or non solid things if the user wishes, once trapped in side the jutsu prevents escape and seals all nth stat abilities the user has preexisting knowledge of as well as common abilities like sage mode and spirits.

Yami was stumped, no way was he prepared for her sudden shift in attitude, and seeing as Nozomi could move so fast that both Yami and Ziv appeared to be standing still was indeed cause for concern, if Nozomi was observant then during the insane gap of speed difference movement, she would be able to see that there was another person following the duo, this person seemed to be able to react at the same speed as Nozomi, meaning she likely wouldn't be fast enough to kill Yami and Ziv but capturing them in a playful manner had been said to be A-okay!

So there Yami was, trapped within the massive water orb, his spirit form was incapable of escaping, truly locking the boy in, terror soon washed over the shadowy twin who immediately began to shapeshift, he first turned back to his boyish nature, and attempted to swim but couldn't move as the restraints were too rough, Damn it, how was she able to tell that I wasn't a real cat? Drats, if this continues then Ziv will be able to get me! Yami looked over at Ziv who seemed a bit shocked, betting that he too wasn't expecting Nozomi to go this far.

The following teacher's left hand hovered over the handle of his sword, ready to strike the boy free and chase Nozomi away if she tried anything funny, as of now the banter seemed rather calm, he deduced that it had probably just been a misunderstanding and that Yami was a fool for attempting to jump up on Nozomi, a lesson he would hopefully learn from one did learn best from one's mistakes.

Perhaps Yami really should try to observe before acting, Ziv seems better at that but he also seems like the type to get into deep trouble... Shit... Why was I given the rough ones... Yami wasn't supposed to be here, he was supposed to be with Yume, who was Hozok's mission, but due to part of the dynamic duo collecting trouble ensued, and here he was thinking if he should act or just inspect, for this interaction could be good for the boys but could also spell their doom if the teacher wasn't fast enough. How troublesome.

Yume on the other hand continued to walk down the lonesome road, his arm was still in a sling but his casket was now marked by his friends, the stinky protection was really an eye-sore, the casket was also another reason why Yume hadn't been to the beach and probably wouldn't really fully swim this go around, perhaps if Ziv did manage to create that casket for him. The very idea got him thinking about the possibilities he could create with that thing, especially since he was able to utilize some of those chakra threads to his advantage.

In fact, he started thinking about the possibility of mixing and matching his friend's abilities with his, so that they could have an entire arsenal ready to deal with anything that could possibly want to take them down. Yume had been observing Ziv lately, who, after being dosed by Tsukiton had been acting a bit strangely, he believed that something had affected him during his trip, which to be fair, so had Yume, but he seemed to boost him towards becoming more heroic while Ziv seems to have become obsessed with the idea of searching for power. He seemed to constantly be training and searching for ways to be powerful, but the question was, what for? There was still a lot the boys didn't know about each other, but hopefully, with time they would cross that bridge and not break it.

Yami chose not to speak as of yet but figured that if he played a little game then perhaps Ziv and Nozomi would have a strong reaction, so he began the charades that he was beginning to drown, he displayed it by rapidly shifting between forms as if he was panicking, all along the shadowy twin was laughing on the inside, thinking that the second he was released he would make his grand escape and that Nozomi would have to pay for her transgression in the future, when he was capable of retaliating that is.

Oh how wise he believed himself to be, the little trickster continued to play the game until Nozomi would either release him or he got the point that she was a cold-hearted ninja who cared little for other's well-being, which would be a strong sign for Ziv to back away from this being. I really misread the whole situation, here I thought she was this innocent young thing but she is really just another weapon like every other ninja... What a sad world they have created. Yami wasn't sure about the last part since Sky-Reach also raised child soldiers, but they existed due to the hands of ninjas and samurai fighting.

Yes, it was true, Sky-Reach did basically the same but their system was different, they didn't raise them to fight for a specific country's ideologies, but their own, to create a full-fledged human that could make their own decisions and protect the ones in need. With the different house systems, they were even raised to view the world differently as the orphanage with its thousands of years of knowledge had realized that not all humans viewed the world the same and there was nothing wrong with that, that was the beauty of life in fact, to be able to see it from different perspectives and come to some sort of conclusion, whether it was peacefully or filled with blood, Sky-Reach students would match the response appropriately, that was the idea.

So now that the situation was set, what would Nozomi do? Would she still hold Yami in fear that he might be a Konoha ninja or would she release him and perhaps even join their cat-and-mouse game? Now that would be interesting, I wonder how fast she is though, because it is pretty clear that she is far stronger than a fifth grader, even though she looks the part.

Just as Ziv was calling out the shadowy cat, something he truly hadn't expected to encounter here was that the rather similar aged girl suddenly attacked Yami. The orbs of water she produced moved so fast that he couldn't even track their movements from his more distant position and if they had been aimed at him then he would have ended up just like his shadowy friend at this point, trapped in a solid orb of water. 'What kind of technique was that? Some strange suiton jutsu!' This would truly be the first time for him meeting a shinobi, but he wouldn't have expected for someone to react so strangely to such a playful action, even if it was invading her personal space a bit. In the academy the spoke about how some country shinobi were trained to be just weapons of war, tools for the village's use. Could she be one, even as young as she is?

If she was as strong as the boy was assuming she was, fighting back or attacking her in this moment with his measly strength would probably only send the situation spiraling further out than it already was, plus he remembered the rules of the festival that were strictly enforced. "Miss! Miss!" The tiny white-haired kid slid to a stop, both his hands coming up with the palms facing the Kiri shinobi. "There must be some misunderstanding, my friend was just trying to be playful. Can you...um...let him out of there?" What else could Ziv really say, to the pair from Sky Reach this had been just a simple game even if it had gotten slightly out of hand but he still couldn't understand the hostile reaction from the girl. He'd keep both his hands out as if trying not to portray any threat to her, just wanting to get his friend out of the watery prison.

Nozomi would look even more suspiciously at the pair as one of them pretended to drown saying “I know your faking it your body is made of chakra “ she would then turn to the other one and say “ your avoiding the questions and that makes it worse the only other person who could use shadows besides konoha is dead if this is some sort of trick I’m leaving I’ll release your friend when I have gotten enough distance between us so is there anything else you want to say?”

While this was going on anyone who was paying attention to the background would notice during this whole thing the clones were continuing to train new jutsu taking advantage of experience transfer to train faster then normal. They were busy training some form of sensory jutsu mixed with a rare form of jutsu for dealing with spirits. The what it was for was another story entirely, they seemed to be working hard on it. Depending on who was listening and how good their hearing was they could hear the clones talking quietly amongst themselves giving puzzled looks at each other. As well as occasionally looking over at what was going on with the water orb.

Though meanwhile from the clones they were trying to figure out how to make another alternative version of a jutsu they previously made that can be used on things besides just gathering information on jutsu. Question is what to call it if they were sticking with the space theme then maybe celestial body? Or maybe planet? The one that gathers information on jutsu is called supernova after all? While two of them were discussing that while trying to figure out one aspect of the jutsu another clone was occasionally looking curiously at the interaction with the water orb. While trying to figure out how to see a person’s skills and physical abilities translated into numbers.

Finally the last clone was trying to do all of the above adjusting as they get more information occasionally from the other clones. Eventually though they were starting to put the pieces together.

After she was finished saying what she had to Nozomi would notice one of them getting distracted with what’s going on over here unsummons it and then summons a new one in its place allowing the others to gain the knowledge of recent events as well as the progress the previous clone made on the jutsu.

As well as anything up to 25 meters in the air. These are continually moving images allowing the user to use this jutsu to track up to up to control/4 targets of their choice. It also has the added benefit of working with other sensory Jutsu.

If Yami could laugh then he probably would, for he did believe his prank would work but Nozomi seemed to always stay one step ahead of him, who was this girl anyway? Either way, the boy wasn't too scared of being crushed as of now for he knew that a teacher was lurking just around the corner, ready to take down the girl if she didn't play her cards carefully and no, there wouldn't be a single chance in this universe that Nozomi would be able to kill Yami before she got sniped, them was the rules of Aroma, so instead of panicking the boy just shifted to appear like an innocent boy, hoping that he could at least appeal to her softer nature, the one Yuuto had once tried to reach.

If that didn't work then all he could do was wait for her to actually release him, he was currently not strong enough to do anything about it and if Ziv didn't play his cards right then he would be powerless to escape. Yume on the other hand was still minding his own business, just J Coleing it by the beach, consuming another ice cream, Man... Life is so good right now, this pineapple-strawberry ice cream is to die for. No Yami in sight, no trouble, no pain, not sore, no books to read, no crazy ass Rei, or snake Kazuma, that psycho Hozok is not around either... Or that freak Nehan... I should be careful with my thoughts on her though, at times it feels like she can read my thoughts... Especially Ikanbi, it's so weird. The boy shivered as he leaned back on the borrowed towel, he laid his back on the soft material that sunk into the sand when he suddenly felt his heart pound harder. What's going on!? It was Yami forcefully connecting with Yume in order to get the boy to come for him, he knew that if Ziv failed then perhaps Yume could appeal to this young girl.

With a heavy sigh, the boy got up and started moving towards where his heart was pulling him. He grabbed the towel and began to pack his things up, he saluted the people who were close to him as he tried his best to not disturb their sun tanning. The kids around him were loud as per usual but it didn't bother him, it did bother Hozok though who was still creeping around Yume, the boy hadn't noticed the teacher yet and just continued about his life. With each step, he felt the tension grow as if Yami was in grave danger or something, but it was also strange because they had told them that if anything bad happened then the samurai would put a stop to it, heck, even Nehan was said to be a bit tense around these areas as she too could be taken out.

If they can kill sempai then I shouldn't fear anything... I bet it's just a stupid situation that needs solving. Yume was quite confident in those thought patterns, besides, he wasn't even sure if his shadowy brother could even die. So far I've seen him tank hits that would take me out, so let's see what's really disturbing him now. A sigh escaped his breath as he truly just wanted to enjoy what little vacation he had before he was forced to study.

Each time he walked in the wrong direction his heart would pound harder, so he continued on this journey until he finally found the duo, what he wasn't prepared to see was that some small girl had captured his shadow. He walked past the teacher who was hiding around the corner, ready to strike. They shared a salute before the boy finally stood next to Ziv.

"So what seems to be the problem here? Why have you captured my brother? Did he do something to you?" Yume was confused, Yami wasn't usually the one that got other people upset to the point of them casting a jutsu on them, but here he was, clearing up some sort of issue that his brother had created. "Z, what's going on here? I thought you guys were playing tag, who is this girl and why is she using a jutsu? Don't she know that if the samurai see her they will kill her? Or was she not informed?" Yume used the last part to scare her, hoping that she would snap back to reality and realize that the world was looking at her, that she had captured someone which was a big no-no, and if they said the correct words then her head would be delivered back to her maker.

"I would suggest releasing my brother right this moment." Yume crossed his arms as he stood straight, Hozok, who had been tailing Yume also made his appearance. "I think what happened here is that Yami scared her a little so she tossed her defensive jutsu, but what I don't understand is, why is she still acting hostile towards you kids... What's your intentions here young lady?" Hozok, the crazy looking teacher tried his best to calm the situation down by taking control over it.

We really can't leave these two alone without them ending up in trouble, man, Destinies Children was the right moniker for them... Hozok thought back to his conversation with Warui, about how Ziv and Yume always seemed to find trouble no matter where they went. He would make sure not to mention this to the counsellor in order to make sure that the kids could still hang out and train together.

"Avoiding...?" The young kid didn't really know how to respond to that, it was almost as if the words he had spoken a few moments earlier about his friend just joking around with her had gone in one ear and out the other. It even caused for the boy's bright eyes to shift over to the captured Yami, scratching the back of his head as he did so, really unsure what else he could say. But she didn't appear to want to press things any further, thankfully as she seemed to think that his shadowy friend was some Konoha shinobi. 'She thinks he's from Konoha, is it the shadow?' Though he was a quick learning, his father hadn't gone into great detail about all the major clans and families within the different shinobi villages, just told him who he should try to stay away from until he was strong enough to take care of himself. So Ziv was a bit unfamiliar with the reference she was making but if she had some sort of innate fear or prejudice against the Leaf village then it seemed she could only be from either Iwa or Kiri, both he was told to stay away from, it possible.

"We'll leave!" His tiny voice shouted out to her when she asked if he had any more questions, the student to wrapped up in things here to even notice things going on in the background. Yet, things seemed to begin to change as Yume showed up quickly and began to speak. "Yami was being too playful and was going to hide behind that girl, but she must have felt threatened and used a technique to subdue him." Though the latter part was pretty obvious by just looking, Ziv tried to speed run what had happened, being as short and to the point as he could as he stood beside his brother in arms from the academy. Still have no idea just whom the foreign shinobi was but even the youth had forgotten in the moment of the iron clad rules of the festival and the powerful samurai who were ready to enforce these rules at a moment's notice no matter what village or group you might belong to, having no bias for action.

If his friend wasn't enough to help out the situation that the two had stumbled themselves into from a friendly game of tag, their house leader seemed to just happen to be nearby, was this guy always looking out for them or something? It was something for Ziv to ponder later and not in that moment as Hozok appeared with his normal crazy looking appearance, just how would the stranger respond to them both? He hoped that things wouldn't escalate any further than they already had...

Nozomi would be studying them some more waiting to see what type of tricks they would pull. With the arrival of new people she would notice the one who is the brother of the one she captured start trying more tricks. While the other one who recently made his presence known seems to play dumb.

She figured since he was here the whole time he would know what her intentions were but it was hard to tell why play dumb? Then she started to think that their main goal was to buy time for something? So she became both visibly agitated as she wondered if she should take off now.

She would then say to the other human brother, “I’m pretty sure that won’t happen as long as I don’t kill you it’s fine but nothing wrong with removing a limb, “ truth was she was lying just like he was practicing her word play, considering her body was fake keeping a poker face was the easy part the hard part which she was practicing was choosing the right words. The real truth is no killing or maiming or the samurai get involved. But beating the crap out of someone fine as long as there’s no serious or lasting damage. Meaning the part about removing a limb was a lie question is would they know that?

Though when the other kid mentioned they would leave she would say “that’s fine I’ll release him after.” She would then wait to see what they do getting ready to move or react at a moments notice. She wanted to be ready in case the trap they were planning was happening soon. She found it unlikely these Konoha ninjas were just having their disguised e body come in attack distance while jumping towards her was a coincidence.


Meanwhile after they finished training that last jutsu one of them would proceed to use it to try to observe the people trapped here. Making sure to practice and fine tune its effects while one made sure to fine tune its casting time and other aspects. While the other clones made sure to work on a new jutsu, this one was designed to look at a persons physical characteristics (stats) as well as give info on equipment. They would start by focusing on each other and a sword one of them pulled out. Practicing the jutsu while comparing it with what they knew of the weapon as well as what they know about themselves.

Hozok couldn't help but to grin as his chakra slowly began to flow, his moon cutter sword was already equipped, held in a knife grip behind his back, and he began to sway side to side as he continued to front his teeth. I don't have the capability to take her on full front with Genjutsu, nor can I even call my friends for help, shit... I need to regain the contracts from the great summons... What else... Damn... Yeah... This is going to be an uphill battle. He finished listening to her first speech as he counted the clones and moved closer so that if they tried to strike then he would be the target and not the kids.

"How about we play a little game of catch and release, I'll try to get you to release my student and they will try to break him free. That way you can continue your training against me while they get to train a little. " Hozok looked over at the gathering samurai. "Besides, we don't want more trouble do we?"

Hozok dashed towards Nozomi, not being the fastest but the one with the most tricks up his sleeve cast his genjutsu on anyone that spotted him brandishing his buster sword, clones of himself would dash towards Nozomi and her clones if she still opted to use them against Hozok, each clone would give off almost true signatures, making it harder to spot where the real one was and the fake one stood. Hozok would form a set of hand seals and then start forming another set of hand seals.

Yume on the other hand would look over at Ziv, nod after getting his approval then mad dash toward the bubble keeping his twin brother in captive, he would brandish Slither before taking a mighty leap in the air, he performed braver and pull the trigger once he was inches away from cutting the barrier. He was getting better at it but he still hadn't perfected his strike yet, now, had the barrier exploded as planned then it would be all worth the risk, but alas Nozomi was far stronger than the boys expected, hell, she was stronger than Hozok, especially since he had lost control of his summons and had seemingly forgotten most of his jutsu, but no matter, they were here to fight and a fight they would present.

Yume kicked off in the air and ran back towards the ground instead of crashing like he used to, the avian training had kicked in and helped him take control of the air as planned. He looked over at Ziv, acting all cool before he nodded towards the bubble. "Stronger than we thought, what do you think it would take for us to break through that thing?" The boy knew that his hombre was one of a kind and would probably figure out a way to crack the egg, Ironic. The thought didn't escape the brothers.

Hozok grabbed his sword once he finished the hand seals and started formulating a plan to cast the genjutsu on Nozomi, he dictated that it would be better for him to fight her close-quarter combat, for he spotted that she carried a sword and since his genjutsu was rather rusty he opted that he would stand a better chance fighting her in hand to hand.

‘Limb?!’ Just what kind of crazy lady were they dealing with here, she really didn’t appear to be that old but perhaps it was some type of transformation technique. Even after the words of their teacher the female shinobi still boasted with her words, Ziv was too young to understand the play of words and the effect that they could have on the moral or demeanor of an opponent if used correctly, it caused him to pause, unable to act as Hozok went into action first directly challenging the opponent which gave them the room to act as he glanced over to Yume. The youth shifted his feet slightly, unsure of what they, himself and Yume, should do in order to free the shadow twin and friend of his from the strange bubble prison. He could summon his puppet and attack it but the kid was a bit worried about the attention it might draw from the roving samurai if he did so. After all, she had only imprisoned Yami in the spherical prison, while it wasn't an outright attack in itself nor truly dangerous to the strange form that Yami himself was, if Ziv went on the all-out attack against the Kiri shinobi would it put him and his friends into an even more difficult situation? But he began to quietly rationalize it in his own head in that moment, since she attacked them more or less, him and Yume attacking back to rescue their friend seemed par for the course, right?

His friend was the first to act, withdrawing his unique blade and dashing towards the strange, watery prison that held his twin and Ziv’s friend imprisoned preventing him from even moving a muscle within due to its unique chakra make up. Of course, the boy had no idea how strong either of them were but after the older man had come to his rescue on more than one occasion, he placed his bets on the man to do what he could to at least combat the strange shinobi. His eyes shifted back and forth between the actions of his friend who attacked the strange bubble head on with his most powerful attack from the Braver sword, an explosion erupting from the blade as the secondary force sent Yume flying up and back. Though it became immediately evident that his comrade had been practicing the avian techniques as he moved through the air almost like he was stepping on solid ground and landed next to him as both observed the damage to the prison technique after the smoke and dust from the explosion faded.

‘It didn’t break?’ Ziv could help but frown as a long black spike slide down from his right arm from the loose fabric of the robe’s sleeve, “Let me try.” A rather sharp look entered the young man’s bright blue eyes as he became completely focused on the orb, he could feel the chakra within his body swirling as it rushed down the right arm and directly into the black metal spike, he had created a moment earlier. Drawing the blade back he thrust it forward as he sprinted towards the bubble that held his friend captive within it, the spike elongated as the sharp point of the spiked pole aimed just above the left shoulder of the shadowy comrade. The growing rod didn’t seem that fast itself (eight speed) but it contained a rather powerful impact potential (42 strength) as it moved across to directly pierce into the bubble’s surface and out the other side, much to the boy’s surprise, but he felt it took a good chunk of his own chakra pool in order to use the technique at that strength. The pole continued to extend until the end struck the side of a building about ten meters past the position of Yume.

Like usual the clones were training a new jutsu but the moment Nozomi would notice his posture change to a agressive one as he grinned she would stop talking and Nozomi would whistle to the clones immediately, getting their attention. They would then all see him start casting genjutsu that makes fake clones appear with her sensory jutsu. Soon after he started casting the genjutsu Nozomi would start casting her own b rank suiton ninjutsu. Causing the surrounding water in the ocean air to condense into full plate samurai armor on her body. It would form at control speed 40 with control strength 50.

At the same time this would cause 2 of the clones to kai to disperse the other clones and regain chakra. Once done clone 1 would cast a mist jutsu that covers a large space in thick mist making it near impossible to see at control speed 45. While clone 2 would detach then regrow their hand causing the hand to burrow into the ground. Causing 30m of ground around them to turn into a fleshy substance.

While this was all going on anyone watching would notice the swim suit begin to shift from its current form to a gothic chique. On Nozomi and her 3 clones as if it had a will of its own.

As Hozok Dashed towards her she would back away and start channeling as the two clones approached. Clone two would take out what looks like a light weight rapier with what could be blood on it. and go to intercept the one incoming with the dagger. While clone one would approach to back up the retreating Nozomi while channeling also the whole time they approached.

If Ziv and Yume would still choose to attack the sphere after the mist appears Nozomi would notice through the sensory jutsu the rough strength of Ziv attack. Considering he had enough power to be a threat she would take note to be careful of him and start considering ways to neutralize him and Hozok.

Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies of the user in both appearance and substance. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own, be given complex commands, caught in genjutsu, and can even bleed, but they will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. Additionally, sound is dampened as well, which can make it more difficult to communicate plans through the mist without advanced hearing techniques. Those without advanced hearing techniques won't be able to hear anything that's not within 5meters of them, while advanced hearing is limited to 10m. Additionally, the mist is saturated in chakra, which makes it impossible for sensors outside the mist to sense who is within it. This technique lasts a number of posts equal to the user's 1/2 Chakra pool.

This jutsu creates a set of armor at control speed and has control strength that covers the user from head to toe. The Armor looks like the same type of armor that samurai wore. The faceplate on the armor looks like a typical oni mask. The mask still manages to provide the same range of vision someone without the mask would have while a suiton barrier prevents the user from having to sacrifice protection for visibility. The joints in the armor are covered in a suiton membrane that acts like stretchy fabric while still providing the same protection as the rest of the armor. When Nozomi transforms this armor will also cover her wings. Finally the armor enhances the suiton passive to the point that it can repair itself at control speed.

Yume nodded and watched how his friend created his own jutsu to strike at the sphere that was holding his brother captive, there was no animosity between the two friends so the boy never felt jealous of Ziv, instead, he only ever felt inspired to do better, whether it was morally or combat wise and he was here to prove it yet again. "Alright, way to go Ziv!" Yume sheered on as he witnessed the spike pierce the bubble and free his brother, who was quick to zip next to the duo. He shook off the remaining liquid before he attempted to high-five Yume who refused.

The boy instead focused on the remaining clone and raised his weapon in preparedness, he too began to channel chakra, likewise his twin brother. "Guys, it's far from over, let's not celebrate just yet." Yume focused his chakra on his right hand once he spotted that the mist started to encroach on them, causing the boy to start drawing on the air in front of him."Air seals!" Yume shouted at his brother as the two quickly began to force air out of the seals and push away the mist to reveal the beautiful streets once again.

The eerie mist was still lurking around wherever they looked and in fact, only afforded themselves a small 10x10m arena which they guessed would be the boss fight against the clone. "Man... I just wanted to enjoy some ice cream and peacetime, I did not sign up for this... Especially with a broken arm!" His left arm was basically useless but he was starting to get used to fighting with one arm, in fact, he started to plan out a fighting style arranged around it, perhaps he could even create a fake casket that was stored with powers?

Yume looked over at Ziv and started to think about his puppeteering powers, what if he could cast touch-based genjutsu from range? What if he could place seals on them? The possibilities were endless but the situation was not right for such ideas, but these were the times he found the flaws in his combat system. Tsk, how will we get through this situation? Yume pondered while Yami seemed to have an idea, they almost shared thoughts so he figured that it would perhaps be better if they actually did.

Yami opened his eyes and revealed the Musou doujutsu and cast Radiohead, which linked the three together. "Testing, do you read me?" Yami chuckled as he then began to formulate a plan which he planned to share the second he got confirmation that they were listening in.

"I am thinking we try to bind her if she gets close enough, I am sure that our combined strength should be able to hold her down, we won't be able to match her chakra-wise and I don't think we have anything in our genjutsu catalog that can stop her for long."

"Agreed!" Yume couldn't help but agree with his brother, so the duo nodded and finished their jutsu at the same time due to Yume focusing on forming the hand seals instead, he had placed his sword between his legs as he finished the one-handed set of seals. "Don't disappoint us now scary kid!" Yume didn't know what he was doing but he felt that it was appropriate to taunt her into attempting to attack the kids.

Yume was point guard, Ziv would be their centerpiece and Yami would work double time as defense, they either had to defeat the clone, run the clock, or escape, either option was viable, no one said they HAD to fight, it was just Hozok who wanted to stretch his legs a little. The kids were free to play tag or be bold enough to attempt to help their mentor out in this strange game that turned rather dangerous quickly.

Speaking of, the teacher hid in the mist and used it to cover his tracks as he too began to formulate a plan, for now, he would let Nozomi take a step back and reach some sort of conclusion for he had already completed the first step of his plan, chase her away from the kids, now all he had to do was show up if she wanted to train with someone closer to her caliber. He was unsure if he could even best her, which was crazy considering her age, but appearance could be deceiving, the mental terrorist should know.

Alright, let's see what she does next. This should be fun. Hozok scratched his rasta. "Let's try to keep this friendly." Hozok was unsure if she could hear what he said but he still shouted it if she in fact tried to encroach on him. Once the words left his mouth he would dart to another area just to be safe as he didn't want to be sniped, he wasn't a rookie after all. Nevertheless, the teacher looked over at his sword and noticed that some of his old fuuinjutsu had been worn out, meaning that he would have to remember how to perform the technique and fixed them once again. Hmm, good idea. Hozok was going to get on it as soon as he figured what her next move would be as he too wanted to study her, what would she do if she had her "prey" right where she wanted him?

Ziv was surprised as anyone else that his attack had managed to puncture the rather sturdy bubble of strange liquid that had encapsulated the shadowy twin, Yami, a short while earlier. It even caused for him to look down at the black rod in his hand as it had extended to the point it stabbed directly into the outer wall of the nearby building. Twisting his wrist in the moment the seemingly sturdy rod broke off leaving itself another sharp pointed end being about a meter in length just like it would have normally been as their slippery friend quickly returned safe and sound to their side, though one had to wonder if he had truly been in any real danger with the number of samurai that were constantly patrolling around the festival grounds within the beach side city.

With Yami, Yume, and himself back together he suddenly heard the voice of his partner in crime inside of his head, “How did you do that?” I guess that was just as good as a radio check letting Yami know that Ziv was receiving his thoughts as he spoke in a slightly confused manner aloud that all three of them could hear. It appeared that Hozok had taken the challenge head on, leaving the three of them to their own devices as he listened to Yami speak and the thick mist began to roll in from nowhere. “Is this mist a technique?” Ziv had far less experience in the world than others who might have recognized this as the signature technique for many Kiri shinobi. “Just what are you guy’s planning? Shouldn’t we be umm…getting away from that crazy girl?”

He was a bit more on the side of letting their teacher take a few round one on one with this weirdo and the three of them exit stage right. But his two compadres were instead looking to prove themselves or at least all of them as a group. Yet was there anything that they could really do? Ziv personally didn’t have anything to blow away the mist nor did he have any type of sensory technique that he could use to pinpoint the location of those in the mist as he could barely see a meter in any direction, from his position he could only see Yume, even though he knew Yami was right beside his brother. “If we’re doing this…” He let out a sigh to himself, two clouds of chakra smoke formed unseen in the mist as his two puppets, the armored knight and large wooden dragon appeared floating in the air above them. At least no one would be able to see him using his puppet threads in this thick ass mist. ‘Maybe I can…’

It was in that moment in combat that he had an idea, it was the metal rods that he’d placed in his puppets and their bodies, they were able to receive and transmit chakra, something he’d never really read about any other material doing as well as they did. Perhaps, they could be used to pick up the chakra of others? Focusing himself the man closed his eyes, focusing on his own chakra rods that he had implanted in his own body but kept hidden by his clothing. Normally he only attempted to send his chakra back and forth, but could they be used to draw in traces of chakra from others? He was attempting to draw in the chakra from his two friends nearby when suddenly ‘Ping!’ a strange sensation slipped through his mind as he could see the direction and distance of both Yume and Yami’s chakra signature, though the other two were out of range for the moment.

She didn’t like that it seemed like there was at least two people who have shown signs of being a threat, and she didn’t want to risk loosing and falling for there plan so she decided to try to end of this quickly. First 1 at Nozomi signal would activate a mist anchor jutsu making the air bubble they created useless as the mist would start to encroach on them again. Uneffected but everything weaker then control 45 strength. She would then notice the younger ninja who pierced her bubble use some sensory jutsu and pull out puppets. She was working on a jutsu earlier but figured would try it out now Nozomi would activate a jutsu that would make it sound like the wind was speaking to Ziv from behind in Nozomi whispering voice. “I guess I was wrong and that your friend is from konoha and you’re a Sunagakure ninja from the puppets and chakra strings you’re using.”

She would then commence her attack on the trio as, clone 2 would use most of its remaining chakra, to cast a jutsu that would condense the mist and try to drown the three inside. As breathing inside the mist would become the same as trying to breathe underwater.

The clones could still be used for melee combat but were running on fumes as far as chakra was concerned being able to use 1 more D rank jutsu at most. She hoped could use this jutsu to gather more information on his genjutsu clone jutsu

The opponent and anyone inside the mist will be able to move normally, but their breathing space will be limited and choked with water. This causes them to lose 3 points of endurance for every post they spend in the mist, to a total of -9 on the third post. This jutsu lasts for 9 posts.

After performing the correct hand seals, the user slowly moves their hand down, stabilizing the mist in the area. [Control] or lower strength fuuton jutsu will still work in the mist, but will no longer displace it, allowing the mist jutsu to be maintained easier. Additionally, the duration of the mist will be extended by 2 posts.

Yume and his brother were quick to set off the explosive air seals once they felt the mist grip their surroundings, the air became impossible to breathe until they blasted off both explosives, with Yami adding a third one in the form of swinging his sword and triggering the bullet to explode, clearing enough mist for the kids to have a fair battleground. They knew that they stood no chance but if they were trapped within the mist then they would surely be defeated by her clone. "We have to make sure that her mist doesn't get the best of us, she seems to be able to control it to degrees even I had never heard before." Yume grits his teeth as he pushed himself off the ground, he finishes coughing and spat on the ground ahead of him.

Yume slowed down his pace and took a deep breath, which caused his brother to panic a little, why was he calming down when the situation seemed to get worse? No, Yume was tracking her via vibrations and auditory cues, he was searching for her heartbeat but it was hard when all he could hear was his own and Ziv's if he could possibly pinpoint hers then this would be a cool jutsu, so for now, we pretend like he found her. "There!" Yume opened his eyes and pointed towards the position of the clone. "25 meters deep." They wouldn't be able to see her due to the blast only clearing so much but if they worked together then they would be able to at least push the clone away from them.

Hozok on the other hand performed a simple barrier technique, one that grew slowly (30) but effectively (50) protected him from the encroaching bubbly mist, he was fortunate to also have seals on the soles of his shoes which allowed him to roundhouse kick and collect the water from the air as he then waited for further action. Hozok truly wanted the kids to train while he acted as a guard, he believed that if he didn't reel himself in then he'd probably lose hard but cause massive destruction along the way, so why not let Nozomi train against him?

"Come for me, I am a teacher for these students, what's say I'll be your teacher for now?" Hozok chuckled within his barrier, as he awaited further actions from the young one, he began to channel chakra as he was prepared to cast another genjutsu once the time was right. He struck his massive sword in front of him and switched over to forming hand seals.

The kids on the other hand prepared for what the clone would do, Yume let Ziv lead the charge and Yami was prepared for whatever. "It doesn't matter where we are from, all that matters is where we are and where we belong. Borders are man-made." Yume retorted back as he let his sword rest on his shoulder.

The explosions had rocked the mist, but it seemed to only hold it bay for a few moments as the trio attempted to figure how what to do being surrounding in the blinding mist created by the Kiri shinobi. Plus, he still wasn't able to pick up anything within fifteen meters of them as he spread the puppets out stretching his threads out to a point that looked like a triangle formation with them in the front left and right positions about ten meters ahead of them and separated by about fifteen meters while Ziv was still in the back with his friends trying to come up with a plan. He still didn't fully understand his metal rods and their capabilities yet so creating the sensory technique wasn't too hard he didn't understand how to increase its range at the moment. "Behind?!" It was the feminine voice of the young-looking girl, but she wasn't appearing to his sensory technique but the voice itself was almost like a whisper that should have come from someone within a meter or less to him causing him to jerk his head to that side only to see the encroaching mist.

'Nothing?' The boy's bright blue eyes squinted a bit, as if it would help him see further through the thick mist surrounding them on every side. Had he been fooled? Was she able to sneak past his level of sensory or conceal her chakra? Or had it just been some sort of misdirection technique? His current level of fighting experienced prevented him from truly understanding it but for some reason she believed the pair were from Konoha and Suna, which perhaps wasn't the worse thing as it kept things from becoming too complicated if she truly found out where the duo and the shadow twin were actually from. Those were the types of questions that he didn't want to deal with, not saying that he really wanted to deal with this edgy Kiri ninja either, but here he was. Ziv couldn't help but cough as the mist closed back in on them, becoming strangely thicker and even to the point it was slightly difficult to breath forcing him to cough lightly.

"Something different with the mist now..." Covering his mouth with his hand he spoke to the group as it seemed Yami and Yume had figured something out in that moment, point in a direction and giving and ADDRAC towards whom they thought was potentially one of the shinobi's clones as they also assumed Hozok was dueling with the real one. Ziv tried to slow his own breathing down as he pushed his puppets forward in that direction, after moving a bit he was able to catch a glimpse of the chakra signature at the edges of the sensory range. Thanks to the technique he was also able to understand the relationship between their position, the position of the moving twins, and himself in the rear. Though his puppets where already head both Yami and Yume were actually faster physically then he could move the puppets, something the was a bit frustrating for the young student.

Nozomi would be surprised as two of them managed to work together to perform some combo that pushed back the mist it was an interesting idea. But also meant she would have to start taking this far more seriously. That said it could be the perfect time to try to test out and learn new methods to use under these circumstances. Plus they were only able to clear a small part of the mist meaning that the cleared section would eventually overtake them again. The mist was 70 meters big meaning it grew 7 meters every few seconds(1 post=7meters) meaning the area cleared would already start being fixed. Normally it was 100m but she purposely limited its distance to avoid causing further problems. Sadly this also limited how fast it could normally spread considering normally the mist would spread 10m per second instead.


Clone 2 would use the last of its chakra to start to practice shaping its chakra then eventually when ready to activate the new jutsu that could mimic any sound from far away would take advantage of its unique body without a heart and combine it with stealth techniques to erase any sounds it was previously making then activate the jutsu and immediately after suppress its chakra. Causing it to seem like to Yume that the clone teleported and was 15m away on there right flank then started running. While she silently approached them silently from behind, and took out a kunai and flashtag with two shuriken at 45 speed. Then threw a shuriken at Ziv and at Yume left Achilles tendon. Then one kunai with a flash bang attached at Yami. All at 20 strength 20 speed. Then would leave that position immediately after and start running circles around them at 25 speed.

The sound of someone’s heart beat and foot steps could be heard running clockwise around them from 10 meters away at 15 speed. While clone two was running counter clockwise around them from 20m away at 25 speed. Silently using the already existing jutsu to cause distractions for anyone with advanced hearing techniques.

While this was happening clone 1 that was near Nozomi would head over to the puppets and once within 20m of them use their sword and extend it 20m to attack the nearest puppet with 25 strength. Before backing away and 10 meters and attacking a different puppet with 25 strength. The whole time moving at 30 speed. She would repeat hit and run tactics until had landed at least one attack on each of the puppets.

Once one hit had been landed on each puppet the clone would back away 10m.

Meanwhile Nozomi would focus on Hozok. Sadly she couldn’t hear him because of the mist’s sound blocking effects. But it did give her an idea for another jutsu so she would start working on a new version of a jutsu she seen her mother use. Plus on top of that couldn’t see where he was in the barrier since it was air tight. But that also meant he had limited oxygen. So for now she would wait for the oxygen he had to run out and would prepare for that time to come.

First thing she would do is try using jutsu to manipulate the strange fleshy ground around them. First part of the jutsu would let her hear things coming from it. After experimenting a bit with the ground she would eventually figure out how to get it to work. The next step is to have a mouth that can speak. So she practiced making the mouth appear with the ears in the ground next to Hozok’s barrier and would have the mouth say to Hozok “testing, testing can you hear me?”

Hozok looked down at his sword and wondered if he could use the water bat to absorb the water in the air as he did with his shoes and try to remove as much liquid as possible. He rubbed his chin and was about to test the theory as he held no fear that he was going to die in this fateful event as the Samurai were probably already getting ready to deal with the situation they couldn't hear it but both Nozomi and he could sense it via chakra that a small wind storm was keeping the mist boxed into the long block they were situated in.

Yume quickly lost track of where the kid disappeared and panicked as he turned to face his brethren. "I lost track of her!" Yume quickly looked around and pulled up his sword as he started to wonder if running away could perhaps be a better option. "The mist is closing in, unless we create some type of jutsu to consume it we will be blinded again within seconds." The twins couldn't continue to explode the mist away so they would have to figure something out soon.

Yami pointed out that blades were flying toward them at an intense speed, "Jump!" causing Yami to leap towards the toss, flip, and kicked towards where he believed Nozomi was but found nothing, but quickly traveled back to his brothers. Yume drew a perfect circle with his sword causing a seal to kick live and protect the duo from the incoming explosion, Yami would reach the team and stand back to back with them in order to maximize their field of view. "We should figure out something soon or else we are going to be defeated, we can't count on Hozok to come and save us. I believe he wants us to figure out our own way out."

Yume wanted to comment on the kick Yami had performed but recalled that they had seen the Avian house scroll and his brother had taken a liking to the hand-to-hand style that the house offered, Yume had been focused on the disciplines as he loved the ability to overwhelm his enemies from the air but today proved to be troublesome as the bird was grounded. I hope Ziv has an idea, we need to gang up on her if he hopes to stand any chance, or at least bail, something... He wasn't panicking but he wasn't exactly confident, so to say.

"Even her chakra source disappeared." Ziv's words came right after those of Yume who had lost contact with the sounds the young woman was making, just the crap was this ninja? She had only looked a little bit older than both of them but her ninjutsu and stealth seemed to far surpass either of them in their respected areas of strength. The words said aloud by Ziv and through both of his puppets that were closer to each of the twins in that moment. Both of his puppets, the metal knight and the large wooden dragon flanked both side of the Yume and Yami, the sensory ping extending out to either side as it overlapped with their current position in between them. Yet, through some means the low-level sensory technique he had just created was being outmatched by whatever chakra suppressing technique she had used while hidden in the mist.

Though he heard the ADDRAC it was too late, though the boy was strong and quick with his mind, his body still wasn't able to react to the shuriken that was thrown from behind and before he could evade it struck him firmly in the back of the ankle causing him to let out a brief cry of pain as the metal sliced into him. "Ah!" Almost immediately he felt it difficult to keep his weight on the leg causing him to collapse into a knee as he looked down to find the blood seeping from the back of his ankle while the weapon was still stuck inside the skin and muscle tissue that run there. The boy gritted his teeth, attempting to deal with the 'stabbing' pain that was shooting up his leg from the throwing weapon, this was actually the first time he'd ever been injured by a weapon. It almost made him lose focus and connection with his puppetry technique as he had to attempt and block out the pain to keep them from crashing into the ground.

From the other side of the field in the mist his puppets came under attack as one blow sent the large wood puppet flying backwards as the left side of the puppet just above its front leg was shatters causing wood splinters to rain down upon those below him as it flew to the side impacting a nearby building. 'How hard did she hit it?!' Ziv was shocked to see that her stealthy sword attack had enough strength to fracture the outer casing of his puppet and knock it nearly out the threads that were controlling it despite hit control over the technique and strength his control had reached up to this point. But he didn't have time to contemplate it as he could only assume that her precise attacks meant that she understood exactly where they were in the mid and her familiarity with fighting in such sensory hampering environment meant that they were at a complete disadvantage.

Ziv understood that an attack had hit his friends and him, then his first puppet, it seemed only inevitable that she was going to attack his other one, so he did his best to guess the direction the sword had extended from in relation to the metal knight puppet. Knowing his friends were in the gun target line of the puppet and the area close to which the sword had come it twisted and fired under the command of the boy's chakra threads and chakra flowing into the puppet itself. Unleashing its kunai launcher that flung out a burst of fifteen kunai followed by a blast of ten senbon from the senbon blaster on the other arm. But the boy wasn't done, attempting to go all out as the three cannons on the left shoulder had turned and each released a raw mass of chakra five meters wide out to fifteen meters (ten strength/speed).

While the blades of chakra created an area effect, he waisted to assess the damage as the extending blade reached the puppet, the boy tried to defend with the puppets right arm, but the blade's strength and speed were to fast to properly do so and its stabbed clean through the right shoulder as the upper right arm was cut off at the shoulder now. But Ziv used this moment to properly aim the storm cannon and activate it towards the retracting sword. A blast of Ranton five meters in size and fifteen meters in length chased the disappearing sword, the aim on this last attack much better than the previous ones that were more shots in the dark, so to speak.

It seemed like they were fighting a losing battle, one thing that the Avian house taught its student were to always fight but if it was a fight they couldn't win then it was best to retreat and live so that they could return to fight another day. Even though he believed the so-called samurai that were in charge of protecting those enjoying the festival, he didn't want to rely on others besides his friends as there would be no safety net in the real world when one's life was really on the line during a battle with a true enemy. "I can't move well, it hit me right on the back of my ankle." Ziv was relaying up to his friends his situation, both of his puppets had taken rather major damage and while they were still able to fight, they would most likely continue to get picked apart by the long-range stealth attacks from the young girl.

Nozomi would watch as they were aware of the incoming projectiles and how the blinding light of the flashbang didn’t have much effect on the shadow. So would try something else, though it seemed they were panicking which meant they had no way of dealing with the current situation most likely. But she figured there’s a chance that wouldn’t be the case for long. They didn’t seem to be moving their lips at the moment so she assumed they were communicating some other way. Based on their movements, she was wondering if they were just genin? Or if this was some sort of trick to stall for time again? It was hard to say, but it was a rare opportunity and excuse to try out new poison ideas.

Though if they really were pretending it was a doing a decent job, and was surprised they were keeping up the act so well. So considers putting on more pressure to see how they do. Currently one of them was injured at least. While clone 1 was thinking this Clone one would take one of the pills that temporarily boost chakra to regain chakra that was lost so could have enough to try out new jutsu


Clone 2 was fighting the puppets the hit and run tactics seemed to be working as was able to more easily dodge as they fade into the mist though just as she was thinking this as she faded back into the mist with the shrinking sword he targeted the spot the sword was shrinking towards causing her to try to dodge moving at 45 speed out of the way of the surprise attack it managed to graze her with surprisingly little force.

Her armor she was wearing managed to completely neutralize the surprisingly weak attack. She definitely thought something was up now. Where was the power he showed when he burst the bubble?! She tried thinking of various reasons why this could be happening but for now would go back to testing some more poison jutsu on them.

She also took a chakra pill and would then stop hiding her chakra, but keep moving stealthily then. Start practicing shaping the chakra until she was able to make her poison like chakra take on an energy state, which would start firing at the iron knight puppet. At first Ziv would see the purple energy fading on impact as it struck erratically from random locations in the mist as clone 2 would be running around at 25 speed firing practice shots from different locations.

She would keep doing this until she was unable to, eventually as the purple energy blasts went on they would grow more and more dangerous as the jutsu began to finally be completed eventually. The final blast heading towards the puppet at control speed 25 control strength 20. Ziv would also begin to feel very sick if he stayed near the puppet that was hit. Taking 10 control strength damage from being near it.


Meanwhile clone 1 was practicing their own unique style on Yume and Yami firing noxious looking purple gunk at them. The gunk would be harmless at first but like with Ziv would grow increasingly dangerous. Question for Yume was is it because they weren’t designed to do damage? Or is it because the jutsu wasn’t complete yet? If it wasn’t designed to do damage then what was the point of firing the sludge?

While the clones were doing all that Nozomi would be watching the scene unfold through the sensory jutsu when Hozok didn’t respond the mouth would say to Hozok “if your being quiet to hide it’s pointless either that or this jutsu isn’t working and you just Aren’t hearing anything.” Nozomi would then wait to see which it was.

Yami's attack missed as thought but once he returned to his friends he took note that Ziv's puppet took damage, causing him to look at Yume and activate Fang with his twin, blue chakra would consume the blade as the brothers prepared for the incoming attack. It was almost set in stone, they needed to run, just like their house slogan, live to fight another day, but first they needed to find the perfect opening for the mist was encroaching fast. "We need to find an opening and make our grand escape, now!" Yume spoke within the trio's head, allowing them to communicate without Nozomi's clone being able to understand them. "Agreed!"

Hozok on the other hand was a bit disappointed and began to form a set of hand seals before he channeled chakra as he grabbed his sword, Here I thought the kids would come and "rescue" me at this point, perhaps I overestimated their strength, or underestimated hers? Or perhaps I wasn't prepared for any of this. A lot of variables... Tsck... Oh well. He then slashed his own barrier and watched the mist encroach as he raised his sword in the air. The sword of Atlantis was leaking chakra into the mist, causing anyone within the mist to be affected by the genjutsu as the water droplets in the jutsu extended the trigger.

The beauty of mist techniques. Once they touch the mist the trigger would cause a small pulse to shoot through their heart, it wasn't painful, nor would it draw too much attention but the countdown would begin, ticking down from (2) posts, knocking anyone under 25 Willpower out, this was a better option the twisted teacher thought, the other option was to let the samurai do their thing and save the poisoned children.

The twins cut the incoming blob and tried their best to leap over the splash, their guts told them to stay away from the splash damage, and due to them all sharing minds they were able to relocate and work within their minds to move as a perfect unite in what appeared to be silence. Stay strong people, we got this. Yume sent the last message to the trio as he twirled the blade. What's that sensation? Yume wasn't sure but he started to feel like parts of his body began to itch, was he infected by something?

Once Hozok had cast the genjutsu on everyone he would activate his rebreather fuuinjutsu which allowed him to breathe as it produced air. "No, but I was thinking we were going to have some fun. You seem to be taking this a bit too seriously. Have you not noticed the encroaching samurai?" Hozok was a sensor and he expected that the mist caster was as well, so why was she pushing harder? Poison was something that was frowned upon, how were they able to tell? Hozok wasn't sure but these samurai were nothing to play with. The alternative was really the worst out of the two, sometimes children needed a nap, especially when they took playtime too seriously.

At this point, still unable to do anything about or treat his wounded leg the boy felt like he was truly out in the open, but as he was listening to the chatter between Yume and Yami the chakra signatures for each clone came back to life just like how they had completely disappeared earlier. He still wished he knew just how she was able to mask her chakra signature from him. But he really didn't have time to think about that as he quickly identified the two signatures as they seemed to be circling around them headed in opposite direction. Ziv yanked back his left arm and pulled his right arm across as the dragon puppet was dislodged from the stone wall with cracks running down portions of its body and two of its six wings had broken off completely from the impact. Meanwhile the metal knight was in a bit better position, but still had lost one its arms which the boy twisted his left hands fingers down as one thread disconnected from the puppet frame and searched through the thick mist to find the lopped off arm as he maneuvered the puppet back so that it was closer to him and on the left side of the twins that were about twenty meters from him.

Due to the special technique that Yume had used to temporarily link their minds, he could understand the positioning of the twins in relation to his own jutsu even without the sensory ping that he currently had active. Just as the chakra signatures of her two clones came back on the battlefield, he was able to see other lobs that flew from the larger chakra source, this was her launching techniques but seeing this for the first time it took a moment for the fifth-year student to understand what he was seeing in his mind's eye. 'One left side, twenty meters at ten o'clock. The other is at twenty-five meters at one o'clock. Both circling us!' Ziv tried to relay the information as fast as he could through their mental link, not having to shout through the thick mist was a definite plus but it was so thick that he was choking back a cough as he tried to maintain his techniques.

The attacks were some types of purple hue energy or gunk, he really couldn't fully disconcert them as he moved his puppet to the side and then to the right and back to avoid the rather inaccurate attacks. Was the girl missing on purpose or was this something else? But really couldn't figure her strength out as the attacks would come every so often, one striking the puppet knocking it back as another damaged the tail end of the larger dragon puppet as he was forced to draw it back. He used the senbon and kunai launchers of his knight puppet to attack the clone, attempting to aim where he thought the clone would be moving to, essentially leading her like an archer would do for moving prey. Hoping this would at least slow it down as it stayed outside the range of the ninjutsu cannon weapons the puppet had. This fight was quickly exposing the flaws in his own skill set and the strength and weaknesses of his puppet frames too.

All of that information would be very helpful later on once he had time to look back and assess just how the fight progressed and how weak him and his friend were against a truly strong opponent. It would also teach him that age was an illusion in the shinobi world, it could not be any kind of deciding factor as to how skilled or strong someone could be. 'My puppets are almost to damage to keep fighting, if we're going to escape, we need to hurry up.' He couldn't help but urgently reply to his friends, he would definitely need their help to escape with his injured leg. Another blast of purple energy shot at his knight puppet as the energy cannons turned and all three fired a powerful wave of raw chakra that managed to beat back the powerful attack as it spattered in front of and around the puppet. Luckily Ziv was fighting at a distance thanks to the puppet threads, or he would have found himself in a truly bad spot.

But it was in that same moment that he felt something, it was almost as if something had shot through him, but it didn't really hurt. 'What was that sensation?' He spoke in his thoughts, forgetting that both Yume and Yami could still hear him as he spoke to himself. It was the sensation of their teacher's genjutsu taking root without him even knowing so. It was as though something had struck a chord in his very being, or his heart, it was a very odd sensation to say the least but caught up in the true dynamics of actual combat with the overpowered girl and her clones the fifth year from Sky reach was unable to even realize that something had happened due to his own senses being overwhelmed fighting back against her. He wouldn't really say that he was fighting her but felt like he was just turtling, stuck in a defensive posture without a way to fight back due to the sky level of the opponent and his own lack of true fighting experience.

As soon as she noticed him casting the genjutsu with her sensory jutsu her mind would be flooded with information about the genjutsu that was targeting her sadly she would have to piece this information together which was a flaw she was happy she found out about now. When she couldn’t be killed and the samurai are watching. She would have to adjust for this later, for now the priority was figuring out what the jutsu did. After analyzing the chakra of the genjutsu along with the way it’s flowing and moving in the mist it’s clear it’s targeting my consciousness in my core.

She then began thinking of how she felt after the genjutsu activated and realized she was feeling drowsy and getting progressively more tired by the second as the genjutsu effects continued to progress. Which means that it was most likely designed to put her to sleep after a certain amount of time. If so she would have to work fast to try to think of a way to minimize the damage and stay safe until it’s time for the genjutsu effects to end.


So she would quickly begin working on a new jutsu. It was definitely very frustrating she would have to increase her resistance to genjutsu in the future. But for now would focus on winning here.


Meanwhile this is happening and Nozomi is studying the effects of the genjutsu.


the other would use the same jutsu that was near Hozok to tell both Yume and Ziv “if you want to run I won’t stop you and I did tell your suna friend that you were free to leave before you started attacking me.” Since the mouth was close by they should have no trouble hearing it even in the mist.


Meanwhile the other clone would be close to perfecting the jutsu with the strange gunk was using on Yume, just seemed to require a few more adjustments to get it to work properly.



When the clone saw the puppet aiming at her and the incoming launcher attacks heading for them they would stop short and quickly change positions at a increased speed then before making a quick turn to avoid getting hit. After the genjutsu she soon backed away leaving only one clone with Ziv and Yume together as the clone on Ziv would move over to Nozomi to watch her as she analyzed the genjutsu.

When Hozok made the comment the recently arrived clone would start to chuckle and say “I wonder what your definition of having fun is Hmmmm? How do you think I should’ve handled someone who is strong enough to break through my jutsu, please enlighten me? As for the samurai it’s nothing to worry about I haven’t maimed or killed anyone everything I have done can be healed instantly so I haven’t broken their rules in any way.”

Eventually By now Nozomi had realized that it was a sleep genjutsu that was cast on her and the clones. So her and clone 1 would be quickly working on a jutsu to hide away during the effects of it.

Now that it had come to this, if they still hadn’t started to run away yet. The mouth next to both of Yume and Ziv would say “last chance to run away… after what your teacher did may have to get more serious if you stay.” The clone would then begin channeling the jutsu but wouldn’t activate it.


the clone would then wait to see what they did if they didn’t immediately leave without hostile actions the clone would activate the jutsu.

This would make a 10m wide 5 meter tall wave of purple gunk appear in front of her. Firing it centered on Ziv it would be coming at 50 speed and since he showed that the puppet was able to stop a blast before at 20 strength she made the wave 24 strength this time wanting to avoid making it too strong because didn’t want to risk killing or maiming him. Hopefully between the speed and increased strength would be enough to stop him and get rid of biggest threat besides the teacher.

Meanwhile Nozomi and the other clone would keep working on the other jutsu so could prepare for when she falls asleep from the genjutsu. It was a jutsu that would allow her to fuse with and easily travel through the ground she previously created. With this jutsu she could be underground hidden. All she had to do is use extra chakra to expand the range to make much larger version of her previous terraformers jutsu. Ideally she was hoping to make it deep enough to hide underground with another jutsu inside the jutsu she had previously used to stay safe after she was knocked out from the genjutsu.

She really didn’t want to be out in the open and exposed while the effects of the genjutsu were going off. So would have the clone activate the terraformer jutsu again transforming 25m above ground as well as the ground 70m below the surface. Afterwards Nozomi would activate the jutsu she had been creating for this situation and start to disapear into the strange looking ground she created.

This was all getting too stressful, Yume had no idea what to do next, except follow Ziv. His wound would be a problem, meaning that the young boy would have to step up and be the guardian he believed himself to be. He gripped his sword and tried to remain focused. "We should try to find a way out, I don't believe Hozok will return..." Yume wasn't sure what his teacher was up to, nor did they know that the bomb had already been planted. His chest bounced up and down with anticipation while his legs started to become somewhat numb.

The teacher nodded at Nozomi, her words got him to ponder on what he found fun. "Personally, I would like to check the beach but combative-wise? I expected you to be around their strength. I have to admit, I underestimated you. For that, I apologize." Hozok was sincere, he had not expected her to take such control on such short notice. His mind was relaxed, and so was his grip on his sword as he knew that he had little to offer for the moment, he had to bide his time and pay his respect when it presented itself. "I see that Kiri still raises their younglings to be as dangerous as ever. Tell me, how old are you? Miss?"

Yume and his twin prepared for what came next, together they would strike the wall and cause an explosion that forced the gunk away from the trio. Their combined blast allowed them to push back the mist about 15 meters, "We have to think of a plan!" "Fast!" The duo shouted, this was to distract Nozomi and make her believe that they had nothing, while they were calculating everything within their heads, sharing secrets, and planting traps, for they only had one shot at all of this.

Hozok's trap was slowly taking hold of the boys but they had yet to experience the full blast of the genjutsu, time was ticking and things were getting heavy, Nozomi wasn't playing around, she was one to look out for. We just need to survive this and learn, we can never find ourselves in this position ever again. Yume cursed under his breath as he shared his thoughts with his brothers. They knew they could do better but for them to reach that goal they would have to work together, as a unit.

Ziv was able to suddenly hear the words from the young Kiri shinobi, even though her words did make some sense to the younger kid there was also the fact of how she had proceeded to capture his friend and even use the clones of hers to attack at both of them. Of course, the young man didn't understand that she wasn't attacking them in full force, Nozomi had been using them almost as live targets to train and practice against while on the other hand the two boys plus his friend's shadowy twin felt more like they were in a fight for their life. My how the perspective you look at something can change the belief of what is truly happening in that moment. Then once again there was the young feminine voice of the foreign shinobi that warned both him and comrades that they should quickly depart the scene, it felt more like a threat on the receiving end from the white haired student but as much as he wished he had the strength to contend with the girl and help their teacher one had to come back to reality and eventually accept that neither of the three were in the same league as either of them. 'Still too weak...' It felt like this was something he was constantly find out about himself from his normal puppets to his own personal strength, it was like it continuously was falling short just when he needed it the most for either himself or to help.

'This won't happen again...' Ziv was quietly making a promise to himself that was driven from the very situation he found himself in once again, with that he surged chakra through his own chakra threads as he felt his mastery over the technique increase but sadly, he also understood that his main weapons were far from enough to deal with even a clone of this crazy girl. With a flip of his hand and swirl of his fingertips the two puppets moved in a circular pattern that would block off direct attacks from the clones he could feel with his sensory ping technique still trying to detect other sources of chakra nearby. But this wasn't any kind of attack but more of a defensive maneuver as he tried to put more weight on his injured leg, forcing himself to endure the pain as he pushed chakra into his body and down to the wounded limb. "Perhaps we can continue this another day..." With those words he turned and started to run, though he had an obvious limp to his movements, moving as quickly paced as he could manage as he spoke to his friend with their mental link. "Let's get as far away from that crazy girl as possible, I'm sure sensei can handle himself better without worrying what we're doing." Ziv had to admit it openly to his friends, but their teacher would be freer to do things without them there somewhat handy caping him.

As the boy raced to the edge of the mist with his two damaged puppets in tow, he felt himself unable to keep his eyes open, 'What is happening?' He spoke aloud in his thoughts which Yami and Yume would be able to hear as his body movements became sluggish, the kid about to fall asleep, barely making it to the edge of the mist before he collapsed and his puppets with no chakra to support them crashed hard into the stone street in their position on either side of Ziv...

There wasn’t much time to train anything new with the genjutsu clock counting down so instead she just decided to rush in at 45 speed draw one of her swords and hopefully before he could react cut the tendons on his arms and legs preventing him from moving until healed afterwards. She noticed the other one was running away so he wasn’t an issue. Regardless of if it was able to deal with him the clone would then poof before it could be put to sleep.

Meanwhile the second clone would finish talking with the man who cast the genjutsu while the main body prepared to go to sleep underground.

“It’s fine it wouldn’t be the first time someone did that as for my strength it’s only natural since strength is everything to a ninja in kirigakure. Plus I did get to try out new jutsu ideas on live targets, and learned of something to improve on so since my main body seems to have escaped and is secure I think I’ll take my leave before I go to sleep.” The second clone would then poof and the mist would disapear soon after.

Yume was barely conscious when Nozomi appeared in front of him like the nightmare she truly was, she cut him in various parts of his body before he even had the time to react, what was worse was that he still passed out, so he wouldn't be certain if this was truly the end for him or if everything had just been a gruelling nightmare. Yami tried to protect his brother but he also passed out, leaving both of them falling on the floor, the only difference was that Yume was bleeding heavily.

Once Hozok realized that Nozomi was nowhere to be seen, he would mad dash towards where the kids had last been seen, luckily for him the mist started to vanish right as he reached the kids. Shit, that's not good! The older man cursed as he picked up Ziv and Yami, he placed them over his shoulder before grabbing Yume with his main hand. I need to find the nearest healer before the kid bleeds out. Had it not been for them being in a foreign country then he would've perhaps left Ziv and Yami to deal with Yume, but he figured it would be better if he reached a point where he didn't have to fear facing Nozomi again as he helped wake Ziv and Yami.

He left Yume to still be asleep, as he figured that it would be better for him to not experience his wounds, fortunately they weren't as grave as he feared but he still knew that the pain would be awful to deal with. The teacher made sure to leave some water for Ziv before he ran off to heal Yume. "Yo, don't leave us here without telling us what happen to Yume!" Yami darted after Hozok but wouldn't be able to reach him before he seemingly vanished in the horizon, the young kid continued to rush after the teacher, if Ziv followed then they would eventually reach a hospital, indicating that their brother had indeed been wounded during the fight.

Their recklessness had left them almost killed in a foreign land, perhaps this lesson would teach the kids that not everything was all fun and games as they got to learn quickly how a game of tag could quickly turn into a bloody mess when dealing with the wrong people. Yami couldn't help but to blame himself for this situation and swore that he would do better in the future, that he would never put his brother in such a situation ever again. Had it not been for Yume's assistance then perhaps Yami wouldn't even been saved and the one that would've been wounded would've perhaps been Ziv, showing that the trio needed each other but they also needed to have a stronger consequence focused mind moving forward.

Hozok on the other hand felt like he had failed his students as he had allowed the idea of a battle high to take precedence, he should've stayed with the kids and made sure that they were safe. Lesson learned.
