Getting up early had become as much part of Susen's routine as eating, bathing and brushing his teeth. Back home his parents would wake everyone early to enjoy family breakfast before a family training session, putting Susen well ahead of his classmates. When he would arrive at school, most of his peers would still be rubbing sleep from their eyes while Susen was already warmed up and had his excercise done. Now that he was in this strange new place, those same routines gave him some sense of normalcy. That all would be alright and his family would some day come to pick him up and take him back to the Holy City of Towers.
It also made sure he had the training field to himself most of the time, which was just how he liked it. No amateurs distracting him, no one accidentally getting in his lane or targeting the same dummy. No one giving him unnessessary pointers because what did they know? The art of Kushou-Ryu Soujutsu was taught by the Holy City. Not like someone from here would know how to master it.
In only fifteen minutes, Susen had washed himself, brushed his teeth and was ready to head out. His bandolier contained his standard ninja tools on the front and Kukkyona, his trusty spear, on his back. Its weight was a familiar feeling that brought Susen comfort. His pack contained a flask of water and his breakfast: an apple, some energy bars and some yoghurt. Something he could eat on his way to the training fields that would give him the neccessary energy without filling his stomach and making him feel slow.
A ten minute walk later, Susen was at the field. By now he had eaten and was taking the last bite of his apple before throwing the core in a nearby bush. He looked across the fields with a sense of satisfaction. Empty. Positioning himself at the center of the field closest to him, he would take a couple of slow breaths as he began molding chakra in his body. Ready to begin practicing his newest jutsu.
