[Graded]A Tea Party for Brock Lee

Post by SexyPanda » Sun Aug 02, 2009 4:36 pm

Indeed. A fanciful day for a tea party. Wouldn't you agree?

The crisp morning air is cut by the warm aroma of jasmine tea, the steam like a hot knife cutting through cold flesh. And I did not just use that analogy to sound badass. Nope, not me.

Kotoya was seated at one end of the table, the first to arrive and the one to set it all up. He'd invited others to join him; he hoped they weren't idiots. That would be ever so unfortunate.

The table is set. Have a seat, won't you?

Halcyone pulled a chair and sat herself down, nodding to the fine gentleman who sat across from her. The etiquette practiced by those of the Hyuuga clan are unmatched by any and all nobles. Hal took pride in this fact. She smiled as she crossed her legs, pouring herself some tea, bringing the cup to her lips. The flavor sent her taste buds into a mad frenzy. She set the cup down and pulled out her chalk board.

"Thank you, kind sir, for the tea."
She scribbled. "Quite the pleasant day to choose to hold a tea party. There's no time better to partake in this taste than in the morning, don't you agree? Jasmine, is it?"

"Indeed it would be, my silent friend. I feel that Jasmine tea is among the most refreshing of all teas in the way that it is brewed; slowly, over a slowlyheating flame. It is such a gentle heating technique that brings out the flavor in said tea."

WHY THE FUCK ISN'T SHE TALKING? I MEAN REALLY. WHAT THE FUCK?

Kotoya stifled his bewilderment by taking a quick sip of tea.

"How goes the Hyuuga family as of late? I keep seeing more and more Hyuuga genin popping up lately. One of them had a ridiculous nickname if I remember. Something absurd like 'Dark Blaze', if I remember correctly."

As her company talked, she sipped a bit more, but upon hearing the name 'Dark Blaze', Hal couldn't help but choke on the gulp of tea that made it's way down her throat. As she violently, and silently, coughed and hacked at the blob that couldn't quite clear itself from her throat, she set the tea cup back down, putting one hand on the table while bringing the other to her throat. She wasn't as composed as she thought. Once her fit was over, she once again began to scribble on board.

"I'd rather.... not talk about it. It's embarrassing. He's embarrassing. As you well know... we Hyuugas, we pride ourselves on the ability to preform, even someone as talentless at the Juuken arts as me can achieve well past the expected limits. That boy.... I'd rather not say... Can we change the subject?"

Wow, I never knew it was such a sensitive subject. This worries me.

"I'm sorry for bringing that up; I had no idea you'd react that way. I apologize. On a lighter subject, I do believe I heard you say that you are rather inept at performing the Gentle Fist techniques, yet you are still a taijutsu specialist. What style do you use instead of the standard Hyuuga Gentle Fist?"

"Well... It's sort of a long story. My parents aren't all that strict with the Hyuuga teachings, so I've been allowed freedom in what I pursue. Still, I strive to be a great ninja, my parents need not to lend me a push in that, but I lack control over my own charka. Though difficult, I've managed to hold hope and steer myself in the right direction. An old Hyuuga children's story told of a man able to move entire mountains with his soul. It may be a bit naive to follow it, but I hold the fable dear. That's why I choose to follow the school of Strong Fist... but enough of that. Your training. How goes it?" Hal began to blush. She usually wasn't someone to talk write much about herself. She wasn't used to it.

Two words; batshit insane. Moving mountains with one's soul? How absurd!

"Well, my medical training is a bit unorthodox: it usually consists of me getting beaten to an inch of my life and then being forced to heal myself up again, or I'll end up doing something so strenuous it could be considered slave labor. Frankly, my mother is effective in her teachings, yet the constant endangering of my life as a result of such methods leaves me rather displeased."

Kotoya had given the nice version of it. What he really wanted to say would involve several curse words and mannerisms that would not be considered proper tea party etiquette.

'What a very nice guy.' Hal thought.

"Well, it can't be all that bad. I read a book once, the Saiyan theory. Every injury you take, every wound you ever make, it all comes together and makes you stronger. Then again, that law only applied to fictional monkey aliens.... I'm sure you have a very good teacher if you're still here standing." Hal tagged a smile at the end of the message, as well as smiled herself. Weird habit of hers. Don't ask.

"Well, I don't wish to brag, but I suppose you must be right, as my mother's training has given me unrivaled Iijutsu prowess as of late. I guess you learn best when you're pushed to your limits, and almost dying is possibly the toughest limit to be pushed to. And thanks for the compliment, I might add. It's nice to boost your confidence from time to time."

Oh gee thanks bitch. Apparently to her almost dying is a good thing. And again with the batshit insanity! Space mokeys? Poppycock!

"Oh! Would you look at the time! I'm late!" Hal lied. She looked at her imaginary wrist watch in an attempt to make her lie more believable. "I've got training to do. I'm sorry, but I've overstayed my welcome. Sorry to split so early, but I must be going now..."

Something about the Genin didn't float with her. She felt like some omnipotent force was guiding her away from him an in attempt to tell another omnipotent force that he doesn't like how he keeps insulting his character via italic thoughts. She bowed her head a bit as she scooped up her things and left, stealing a sip of tea before while the boy wasn't looking.

How rude! You don't merely step out of a tea party like that! Such an action is rather uncouth.

"Well, good luck with your training (you cold dirty bitch) I hope it goes well! We should really does this again some time (NEVER, EVER AGAIN)!" called Kotoya, bidding his sole guest goodbye.

He decided to leave the tea party himself, as no others seemed to be showing up anytime soon. Just for insurance, he pissed in the tea kettle. That'll show them for being late.
