[Mission] Fun With Molly & Stan

The old, grizzled merchant had been through many caravans in his time, and would see many more before his retirement. If he even wanted to retire, anyway.

The merchant was an elderly man, in his 40s, with a modest get-up and a deep, brown tan that emphasized the work he's gone through his whole life. He wore thin, wire spectacles and a white bandanna. His attire consisted of cloth-bag pants, a baggy shirt, and filthy sandals.

His goods were carried by five workers, burly and well-built. But not all that bright looking. They carried his goods in knapsacks, bags, and burlap sacks, heaving and huffing.

It'd been a lengthy trip taking up 5 hours so far, with the end in sight. A small Fire Country village near the border, about 30 minutes off on foot. The merchant sighed, wiping sweat from his brow and turning to face the Shinobi he'd hired for the mission.

"Looks like I won't be needing ya after all, kid. We've almost made it, and we can all rest easy at the hotel I rented."

[Hakuro]

Hakuro smiled as he continued along the trail towards their destination, the trip wasn't as boring as he thought it would be, the group was a pretty amusing bunch, the only downer was that the journey was almost over. " Hahaha, sorry old man, my job is to guide you all the way to the designated location safely. The mission wouldn't be successful if I ran off on you now, besides were having such a great time, I'd hate to leave now." Hakuro looked on as the group slowly moved forward.

[Ein]

The old man laughed briefly, ever so briefly. He immediately stopped when the echoes of a much more sinister, menacing laugh began to echo from the trees. The men stopped behind the old man, and he seemed to glance about, as if he knew this laughter.

The group was on a well-used path that cut through some fairly scarce forests with spots of high grass and trees, and a few boulders scattered here and there. The sun was taken on a lustrous orange, beginning it's decent over the horizon, and two figures emerged from the woods to the group's left.

Hakuro, standing next to the old man, might catch a glance of them, if he were quick enough. They were a pair; a burlesque, big man and a petite girl, both dressed in Konoha Jounin outfits. Although the outfits were worn and torn--they both had headbands with the Leaf symbol stamped across it. A deep scratch marking it out.

The girl would sprint for Hakuro, throwing a kunai in his general direction as the burlesque man would, unless Hakuro stopped him, sweep up the old man, swing him over his shoulder, and begin to make a sprint back for the forest.

[Hakuro]

The sound of distasteful laughter echoed throughout the area. Hakuro could tell that the old man was alarmed, it was time to take necessary precautions before anything could endanger the groups life or the mission. He quickly waved his hands together and performed hand seals "Raiton Bunshin" :three shadows swiftly flickered away, then suddenly; two people appeared from the woods; both Missing-Nins from Konoha: They had a slash across their forehead protectors;the symbol of a rogue ninja. Hakuro was outnumbered, but he couldn't make a run for it, he would be leaving the goods and the others behind. His persona changed from carefree to dead serious;glaring at the Missing-Nins. " Listen guys! I need you to quickly move ahead with your goods and the old geezer, I'll stay here and take these villains out."

The two ninjas made there sudden attack; two kunais were now flying towards Hakuro, as they both were. He quickly drew a smoke bomb from his belt and dashed it beneath his feet, it took only seconds for the purple fog to surround the area;blocking off the incoming intruders from the group. "Now is their chance" Hakuro easily sidestepped the incoming Kunais while in the fog, "Don't underestimate me, I may be a Genin, but I've already mastered many strong jutsus, I won't lose so easy."

The user does the needed hand seal, then creates a Bunshin that has Raiton chakra in it. It isn't able to interact with the environment, but once it gets hit or poofs, it poofs into a bolt of electricity, shocking anyone near.

The burly men, it seemed, panicked and began to flee the scene, coughing and generally running like frightened girls. The burly MN, however, cursed as the smoke bomb was drawn.

He ran into the smoke, blindly reaching out for the old man, who was just muddling around, confused and dazed.

The girl, grinning at the boy, would stop in front of him, striking something of a pose. "Well? Show me what you got!" She'd sprint forward, aiming to give him a punch across his chin, all while her burly companion continued to try to navigate through the smoke cloud for the old man.

[Hakuro]

Hakuro didn't expect the old geezer to get caught in his Smoke bomb. It was the old man's last chance to get away from the battle that was about to unfold. " No! You have to get outta here, now!!" Hakuro shouted.The boy turned around to see a blurry figure standing a few metres down from him, she instantly began to sprint towards Hakuro with a fist, the boy smiled and stood in position. The punch connected onto Hakuro's chin, but a large discharge of electricity came rushing out, chrrrrlkk chhrklllk it quickly expanded in the small area. From above Hakuro noticed " did she fall for it?"

The boy jumped down from the large tree he was examining the situation on, just below was a large cloud of smoke hovering around the area. "I've got to find him, before it's too late" Hakuro quickly looked around the area, it wasn't easy seeing anything threw the dense smoke. "Cough Cough Cough" Hakuro listened to the man's cough coming from left of where he was currently standing, he didn't waste anytime and quickly sprinted towards the coughing.

[Awesem]

The female ninja grabbed her abdomen with pain as the lightning hit her straight in the stomach. She took a few steps back, finally recovering from the attack. Looks like the kid has a few tricks up his sleeve she thought, but we won't lose to a mere genin! Her ears pricked a little as she heard a slight thump on the ground, knowing her ally was still on the ground, it could have only been an enemy. Or even the target she thought with a smirk, silencing her footsteps as she slowly followed where the steps were going. Seemed like they were going outside of the smoke bomb....

The old man was outside of the smoke bomb. Unfortunately, while Hakuro was busy with his lady friend, the burly guy had grabbed the merchant. Luckily, the old man wasn't going to go without a fight, trying to twist his way out of the Missing Nin's clutches. As soon as he saw the bodyguard though, the Missing Nin threw the old man to the ground and threw a kunai straight at Hakuro's chest.

[Hakuro]

The kunai came rushing directly at what seemed to be Hakuro, but was in fact a lightning clone. The electric discharge the clone set off immediately caught Hakuro's attention. The boy was somewhere in the dense smoke, where he found it very hard to breath. He quickly made his way through where he seen the old man lying on the ground and the large man standing over him. The old geezer didn't seem to be badly hurt, but he wasn't moving;"He's probably unconscious". Hakuro glared into the missing-nin's eyes. with out wasting any time he moved his hands in a fast motion;waving handseals;"Yazenshi no Jutsu" Hakuro then took out a sharp kunai and threw it at the man's stomach;

A genjutsu technique preformed by making eye contact with the opponent. Once eye contact has been obtained, the target will suddenly feel a large amount of heat coming from around their feet. If they are to look down they will see what they believe to be their feet melting from their ankles. This can cause a lot of panic, especially if the genjutsu caster is a katon user. After 3 posts, their feet will form back together.

My feet are hot! the man thought shocked, looking quickly at his feet. They were melting, and if possible getting hotter. The would-be kidnapper never took it into consideration that he was looking into the ninja's eyes while the he was doing a handseal. All the man would have like was to get out of this crazy situation as fast as possible, and was hopping around, not noticing the kunai heading straight for him.

Luckily for him, his ally was coming out of the smoke just as Hakuro finished the genjutsu. She was amused to see her teammate jumping around, only to frown with concern as the ninja threw a kunai at him. Moving just as swiftly, she threw a kunai to knock the other one away from her partner, only to quickly turn and try and kick their enemy in the face. Hopefully that idiot can get out of whatever crazy problem he is in she thought with a sigh, thinking this mission was starting to have more loss and less gain if they continued.
