It was a beautiful day here within the Rain Country; the Sun was beating down on the land with its magnificent warmth and life giving rays while the clouds up above were generous enough to provide us with a clear overcast sky. The Medical Institution you were instructed to visit was a grand establishment of wood and stone - its doors were wide open and welcomed any and all visitors to come in. Upon entrance, the first room you would come into would be the lobby. The lobby was where the receptionist was at, and in her possession was the scroll and equipment you would have to take on your mission in order for it to be a success. If memory served me right, you would need to accomplish the task at hand before sundown - and the time right about now was midday.

I'd hurry into the building and grab a hold of that list of herbs so that you could start the mission right away! GOGOGO, THE CLOCKS TICKING!

Sesshou Amatsu made his way into the Rain country at a steady pace. I am greatly surprised such an isolated place has contracted a missing nin to do a job. Amatsu wandered around for five minutes before finding a large grand building made of wood and stone. Amatsu entered the building and entered the lobby and gave it a quick gaze around. He found someone who fit the description of who he was meeting, holding a scroll and equipment in her possesion. Amatsu walked up calmly toward the receptionist, his blood-filled eyes taking in everything about the lobby and her.

[OOC: I apologize for the long wait, but I was out for a while due to the holiday weekend.]

The receptionist looked a bit nervous in your presence, and she proceeded to straighten herself out. "You...you must be Amatsu, correct?" She asked almost rhetorically. She didn't wait for a response of any kind, and decided to just present to you the items and equipment you would need to use. On the counter, she placed an array of objects and, from left to right, she explained what they were and what exactly you needed to do with them. She started with the scroll and worked her way across.

"Well, this is the list of herbs you'll need to gather. There's a total of five different herbs, and you'll need two of each of these and three of these," She mentioned while pointing to each individual herb on the list. "Now this is the container you'll be using to keep the herbs in - pretty simple. Just make sure they're not crushed or anything. This here is a special scissor of sorts, and when you find the herb, you need to cut the leaves at the stem, got it?" A moment passed and, once again, she continued without a response.

"Good. Now, hurry off! We need those as soon as possible, got it? Be careful out there, too. The lands are filled with hostile animals and such, you wouldn't want to lose an arm, would you? Haha!" She chuckled. Not the best sense of humor, but...hey? Whatever, right? Now you'd just have to head on out of the village and begin your little hunt for these leaves and plants. Good luck, d00d!

Amatsu took the list and put it in his cloak, and held onto the scissors. He took the container and walked out of the building to where a young blue haired woman was sitting lazily outside. He took the container and threw it to Ruisan Kara, who caught it before responding, "Hey what's this for?" She said rather loudly before moving to a barely audible whisper. " I thought we were gonna take their medical data and burn the building to the ground." Amatsu briefly glanced at her before continuing walking down the path out of the town to the forest to collect the herbs. Kara stared at him before gripping the container tightly and following him at a brisk pace, before catching up to him and standing by his side to hear his explanation, as she thought I wonder why he even risks coming out into this country. Amatsu had a small unnoticable slight turn of his head towards her before saying "These medicinal herbs may come in handy, and trusting people like us, even with tasks such as this is borderline insanity, and even so they would be well advised to hide their medicinal knowledge. When we finish this task, you will enter in my appearance while I look for a weak point, it is true we can use their medicinal knowledge, but we don't need it, and in the meantime, we can take extras of the herbs for ourselves, so don't kill anyone unless it is absolutely necessary." Amatsu finished as they reached the forest. Amatsu handed Kara the list so she could look it over while beginning his search for the needed ingrediants.

Well, this mission shouldn't be too hard...right? If anything, it'd be a bit time consuming due to the fact that you had no idea where to look for these exotic plants. It's a real wonder why the village didn't just order these herbs from a neighboring country, but I digress. It's not in my job title to judge a village and whatnot, so let's get moving on with this mission. It looked as if the first item on the list was referred to as the "Calendula," and you needed three of its leaves. Again, shouldn't be too hard at all.

In fact, after having looked around for a while, you stumbled across a growth that looked just like, if not exactly like the picture that corresponded with the Calendula. The only problem was that the Calendula only grew on top of trees, and this one that you spotted happened to be just about a hundred or so feet into the air, atop one of the bigger and taller trees of the forest. You'd have to find a way to climb the tree while avoiding the thick concentration of branches starting at about fifty feet up.

Well, at least you -found- one of the plants, and this one looked to have more than enough leaves: seven to be exact. If you hurried and maintained your composure, there's no reason to think that you wouldn't be able to extract three or more leaves from this "harmless" plant. Good luck with that!

Amatsu looked up above him to see the calendula above him in the tree. "You have your silver dagger on you, Kara?" Kara turned from where she was and faced Amatsu before following his line of vision with her scope ti clearly see the leaves 100 feet high. "Yes I have it" she replied. "Good go collect those leaves, all of them, and here." Amatsu tied the jar to Kara's belt who flinched in minor discomfort as it pinched her skin. "That should make it easier for you, so go, i will look around for other plants. Kara began lightly sprinting up the tree with her silver blade dagger in hand, after reaching up the branches, she began hacking her way through them with her dagger.

You could hear the faint steps of your loyal kunoichi as she sprinted up the face of the tree. You continued your search for the rest of the medicinal herbs, looking far and wide, up and down until you came across what you needed. Meanwhile, Kara continued her ascension up the rather large Oak, dodging and weaving through the countless branches that extended out of the tree's trunk. It didn't take too long for her to reach the top - sure, it was a distance and she had to maneuver around countless objectives, but it was a simple task nonetheless. She crouched down near the Calendula, an interesting specimen: it covered the majority of the upper tree with vine-like features. There were several leaves available and Kara made sure to severe each one from the plant and store them in the jar.

Perfect.

On the other hand, you weren't finding much success on your end. Finding the other plants would be somewhat of a process; the remaining plants were quite rare. However, there was a way to quickly find them: the Chicory Root in particular had a large and almost unavoidable flower. It looked somewhat like a lotus flower yet it was much bigger and exaggerated. The flower itself was a sure indicator of the Chicory, and if you found the flower then the roots would only be a pull away. In fact, if you would continue looking, you would notice that there was one not too far off...in the middle of a shallow pond of sorts. The Chicory plant was intriguing, as well. It strives in aquatic habitats, including forest ponds. The flower was floating atop the surface of the water...the roots, however, where under the seafloor.

And, in case you didn't know, that was the part you needed.

Amatsu spotted the Chicory flower on the top of the shallow pond, the huge flower seemed more like an eyesore to him. Kara began her descent, slowly at first, but then began sliding down the tree, before a branch snagged into her cape. Stupid branch Kara thought to herself. Kara pulled out her knife and began cutting the branch, which then fell down to the forest ground, as Kara continued sliding down, the leaves secure in the jar, pinned tight against her by her left arm. A large branch fell from the tree Kara was on, temporarily distracting Amatsu as he turned to look at the cause. Amatsu turned away, She shouldn't have any problems getting that, now let's see how shallow this pond really is. Amatsu took a step forward on top of the pond, followed by another, and then another he walked forth to retrieve the Chicory flower, roots and all.

As you stepped onto the pond, ripples formed throughout the surface and obstructed your view of the seafloor. Not mentioning the fact that it was a rather repulsive green-like color of the consistency of algae and that the water itself was cloudy; it was safe to say that you couldn't quite tell exactly how deep the water was. That didn't stop you from approaching the flower itself and, after just a few seconds, you were just a few feet away from the Chicory. It didn't look as if you would have to do too much to obtain the roots but it wasn't going to be a picnic, either. The water that you were standing on could be hosting a wide array of underwater creatures and could be anywhere from three or four feet deep to an intimidating fifteen to twenty.

Kara had retrieved the leaves needed and the next item on the list was right in front of you. The flower looked harmless, swaying back and forth as the ripples of the pond carried it poetically. The roots must have been deeply lodged into the floor beneath your very feet - what exactly is it that you'll do to retrieve the roots needed? It couldn't be too hard after all is said and done, it's just a mere flower in a pond.

Kara had slid down the tree and had her feet planted upon the ground, with the leaves safe in the jar as she looked around the forest for her boss. Kara spotted Amatsu on the pond as he reached forward and grabbed the stem of the plant. As she saw her boss reaching for the flower, she took out the list that he had given her after he looked it over. Oh I see, we needs the roots of that big flower. Hmm that flower is kind of big though, he might need some chakra to pull it out, afterall my boss may be smart but he isn't the strongest guy around, anyway let's see what I can find over around here.

As Kara went looking around the forest for something else on the list, Amatsu put his hand at the surface of the water, feeling the straight stem out, before getting a grip he felt was most beneficial for pulling the roots out. Amatsu got a grip with his left hand, very near the surface of the water, having no inclination to put it in the water, at which point he flooded his hand with chakra and pulled.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. It wasn't exactly the best idea to grip the flower's stem that close to the surface of the water because, as soon as you began to pull on it, the stem was dismembered and you were left with just the flower and about two feet of stemming. Now your predicament became all the more difficult: there was no telling exactly where the Chicory roots were, and the only way to find out was to look for the stem underwater. As said before, the water wasn't exactly the clearest nor the friendliest, and there was no telling what waited for you underneath. You did, however, have the option to just look around for another one - but the Chicory was rare, and this could be your only opportunity to get what you needed!

Amatsu felt the stem break as his left hand pulled, and quickly sent in his right hand to where he had felt the stem was underwater, causing his outstretched palm to bump into the broken stem underwater. Amatsu threw the rest of the chicory flower in his left hand to the left as he stood on the water. Amatsu moved his right hand down the stem untill he felt the bottom of the pond, and gripped the lowest part possible with his right hand. He than began pulling the stem out from that point. Kara meanwhile was looking at the list while walking in the forest. Kara looks forth at a plant and believes it to be an Aloe Vera.
