Michi was being placed on a lot of missions by Jousai recently. He couldn't really complain as more experience was always something one could use but he was starting to feel it may be overkill. At least they were consistent in their purposes, he surmised. Each and every mission he'd be on recently was very clearly meant to ally foreign nations with Earth Country through peace or force. Spirit's Nest, for example, had required extreme force due to the malignant spirits within while the Holy Lands of Forest required a more gentle touch of helping the people. He was sure of what Owl Country would require but based on previous intel, he was expecting force this time as well.

It seemed the village thought in a similar vein. Another jounin had been paired with him this time, a slightly older man by the name of Shizuo. He was renowned within the village for his skill with tenkujutsu and as the owner of a legendary weapon. Michi had heard of the man through talk here and there but this was the first time he'd be partnered up with him. The two were to meet at the newest Jousai headquarters within the former Spirit's Nest before venturing south to begin their recon. Familiar with the structure, Michi waited for the man on one of the many wooden platforms held aloft by the World Trees' branches and sat on the edge where he kicked his legs in boredom until his partner would make himself known.
