[Chuunin Exam] The Tiny Tester.

In the middle of an arena designed to house chuunin examinations stood what looked like a little girl. She was only five feet tall, with black hair that fell to her waist in two braids. Her arms were bandaged from knuckles to elbows, and she wore a pink kimono with no sleeves, that was split on both the sides of her legs. "Hey guys, so, the deal is you put up a good fight and you pass and get to become chuunin! Maybe" She said in her high pitched voice, kind of vaguely. "Any questions before we start?"

"Oh man," Hiroto grumbled quietly to himself, "She's kinda cute," He was rather disappointed the chuunin exam battle had to be against such a young lady, but alas he had not a choice in the matter. The choice he did make was to pass and that was what he would aim to do, though he wasn't alone. At his side was another genin, apparently to take the test with him. He did not know him or his abilities, but it mattered little. He would make attempts to work with him to make the test work.

"None on my behalf," Hiro exclaimed, he then glanced to his teammate for the test to see if he had anything to say. Otherwise, things were about to get hectic as Hiro shifted his left foot forward and took a defensive stance, his hands at waist level since they hadn't truly started yet.

Open Kimono in the bottom for mobility. Arms bandaged. Slight frame but that doesn't mean much. Expect speed. Jiigo was analyzing from the moment he stepped out on to the battlefield. He'd failed a chuunin examination once, and it was only due to his achievements as a genin that he was allowed to test again so soon. This time, he had a partner. He didn't know anything about the kid except his name, from when they had been briefed.

Jiigo connected his strings to Insidious, lifting the puppet up from his pocket. This would make it abundantly clear to Hiroto what kind of ninja Jiigo was, at least, and hopefully Hiroto could work with that information.

The girl spoke, and Jiigo nodded to what she had to say. "I understand the assignment." Insidious began buzzing, its wings rapidly vibrating in the air to help keep the thing aloft. "My partner and I are ready. We move on your order."

[Nafan~]

"Okay then." She replied calmly as she took up her stance. Her left leg and arm were forward, while the right side of her body was slightly back on a diagonal. She sunk a little low into her stance, bending her knees. There she waited, with palms facing the pair. "Start when you're ready."

[Arion]

It wasn't until she got into her stance that he knew what he was in for. His father and brother were both taijutsu fighters and he himself had some experience in the area. He should have figured it out sooner, but of course he was distracted. That ended and he was focused. He nodded at his partner and took note of his abilities as well. He was a puppet user and he couldn't help but smirk. That too was also something he had dabbled with and he knew full well how dangerous his partner could be. He was glad to have such a partner for the test. Speaking of testing, he would test her.

With a nod to his partner, he slipped his hand into his pouch and took out several shuriken. He then swiftly threw them in her direction. There were five in total, but only three would be immediately visible. The other two were hidden beneath the trio and all of them were headed straight at the young woman, front with them slightly spread out to the sides.

*Shadow Shuriken Technique
D-Ranked Taijutsu
Prerequisite: User must possess shuriken of some variation
With little to its application, this technique requires the user to have at least two shuriken to use. When throwing the shuriken at the opponent, the user will throw another that will travel beneath the first, concealing itself within its shadow. By doing so, this allows the second shuriken to go undetected as it makes its approach toward the target. Both shuriken travel at a speed dictated by the user's strength stat unless stated otherwise.

Jiigo would take note of his comrade's moves, and compliment them with a similar move of his own. One hand would continue manipulating Insidious, and strings from his other hand would slip into his weaponry pouch, pulling out five shuriken. The enemy would have to move to evade the shuriken his comrade threw, and Jiigo's own shuriken would fly to the outside of their perimeter, widening the number of blades the target would have to deal with at once.

Insidious, meanwhile, would rise upwards, and fire off one needle from each wingtip downwards at the enemy.

Jiigo himself was on his toes. He wasn't going to take another hit like last time. Jiigo was winning last time, until that one damn fall ruined everything. It's time to show everyone what I can do! And Hiroto will impress everyone, too!

*[Manipulate Advancing Blades]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: *[Puppetry Technique]
This is a Ninjutsu technique used by Sand ninja Jiigo Samata. By attaching multiple chakra strings to their kunai, the puppeteer is able to hover multiple kunai around them before throwing them all forward. The puppeteer is able to hold an amount of kunai equal to their total ninjutsu and control.

The instructor smiled as the shuriken whirled the twenty feet between them and closed in on her. She flipped over the first wave, her head just over the shuriken themselves. However, she also managed to place her index fingers in the centre of the two shuriken which hid those underneath. Then, as she completed her flip, she threw those two shuriken. One spiralled into the needle aimed at her, while the other was sent mysteriously wide, only to collide with one of the outer shuriken of Jiigo's cover fire, ricocheting that shuriken back toward him at a speed of 4.

If the boys looked closely, they would see that her feet had landed exactly in the same place as before, and her palms were back up. The only difference was that this time she smiled mischievously. "Such a basic tactic. Although, the needle from above was a nice touch. You're going to have to do better than that."

She made them look like academy students. A single flip as she easily took the hidden shuriken to counter the rest of the projectiles and even managed to throw one back at Jiigo. Hiroto slapped his hands together and began a set of hand signs. He had to trust his partner to deal with the projectile this once and hopefully even counter. He knew that as a former puppet user, he would be able to complete such a task. With his signs complete, he took in a deep breath and then exhaled. He fired the ball of fuuton chakra towards her midsection.

"We need to try something a bit more complex," He told his testing partner. He unfortunately did not have much to work with, but if Jiigo had any ideas he would be willing to comply.

*Wind Element • Air Gun
D-rank Ninjutsu
After forming the needed hand seals, the user will take a deep breath before blowing it out in the form of a football-sized bullet. If hit by it, it can cause many small cuts at the place of impact. The further this is shot, the weaker it becomes, becoming completely ineffective at twenty-five yards.

The shuriken flying back at Jiigo was a surprise, but he simply turned to an angle and let the SHuriken deflect harmlessly off of Sinister's sturdy body. His partner spoke, and Jiigo smiled working the fingers that held the shuriken he had thrown. I can handle complex. Heh heh." He got a smirk, his old confident self coming out as the shuriken he had thrown at the enemy came back in from behind the target. Hopefully, they'd strike her down.

Meanwhile, the enemy had blown a light green bullet from his mouth, and Jiigo brought Insidious downwards to divebomb, rapidly spinning the drums on his eyes. Insidious was not very strong yet, but the drums spun quickly enough to scrape up skin if it made contact.

[Nafan~]

The girl took a look at the green bullet, immediately realising there wasn't really a way she'd be able to dodge it and remain on the spot, since touching it was a bad idea. However, the puppet was interesting, it was coming in close which would make it easier for her to dispose of it. She ducked low to the ground, sending one of her legs wide to support her body only less than half an inch from the ground.

That was when the shuriken soared overhead, one even going through the green bullet. It shocked her that they had come around, she should have noticed if it was taijutsu that had made them curve. The shock made her miss her timing, which meant the puppet hit her just above the right hip before she snapped out of her state of thought. It was grinding away at her skin as she snapped her body up onto her hands, using her back to flick the puppet into the air. She then caught the puppet between her thighs while leaning slightly toward it, and crushed it. It fell in pieces in the sand, gears and wood all over the place.

She quickly flipped back onto her feet, having yet to move from her spot. She reached up and touched the place where her back had been severely grated a second before. "You ruined my favourite battle kimono." she said in a childish voice which implied she was close to tears. Although she looked nothing of the sort. She looked impressed. "But that was well coordinated by you, puppet boy." A few drops of blood touched the sand.

[Arion]

Hiroto couldn't believe the girl whirled around their attacks so easily. Well, almost easily, something managed to leave a cut on her. So the girl wasn't invincible after all and that much was a slight relief. Of course it wasn't going to be easy and the cut was simply a start. Defeating her would be something else totally different. On that note, perhaps the complex strategy on their behalf was what would work best.

"Again?" Hiroto called out to his partner as he began a series of hand signs. He wasn't going to use the same exact attack, but needed to launch one to help set his partner up. When the signs were complete, he made a chopping motion in the air which released a crescent-shaped blast of fuuton chakra. The attack he had aimed towards her upper legs, thigh region. He didn't stay put after releasing his attack. He began to move away from his partner and more to an angle. He wanted to cause a little trouble for the young lady, though whether he or his partner would be the ones in trouble instead remained to be seen.

C-Ranked Nintaijutsu
After having performed the needed hand signs, Hiroto channels chakra to either hand. He then performs a chop, releasing the fuuton chakra in the form of a crescent in the direction he attacked in. This crescent travels up to 20m at a speed of six, causing slicing damage.

When she caught Insidious, Jiigo would flip out the switch blade, in the wing closest to her arm, and produce a small tip of flame from it, hoping to cut into or burn the enemy. The burn would be weak and she'd probably be able to crush Insidious anyway, if the switchblade didn't cut into her, but it was all Jiigo could think to do. [color=cc800]"Insidious!"[/color] The puppet crumbled and Jiigo saw red. Hiroto spoke, and somewhere in the back of his mind, Jiigo heard him. Nefarious floated off of his shoulders, and Jiigo determined to avenge his friend.

Somewhere in him he knew he couldn't kill the girl, given that she was a Suna ninja and all.... But he no longer had any illusions about holding his own for a while. He wanted to win.

He nodded at Hiroto's proposal, and responded with obvious anger in his voice. "Hiroto! I'll try and pin her down. Throw something good her way!" The whole thing almost came out as a snarl. None of his puppets had ever been so badly damaged before; not even against the Genma and his legion of the dead.

Nefarious would go into full on assault mode, and unleash ten chains in the direction of the enemy, all aimed not at her, but within inches of her surroundings. From there, another fifteen chains would propel forward and go on the outside of them. This would create a straight shot between the enemy and Jiigo, so she could rush him if she so chose--but it also created a direct avenue fro Hiroto's jutsu, and if the enemy attacked Nefarious chains on one side, he'd send ones from the other side in to catch her. Jiigo's thoguth was tat she may have been able to break loose from them, but not before she was slowed enough to get hit.

Puppet Pop
D-ranked Kugutsu ninjutsu
While fighting with his puppets, If Jiigo remains still in all of his body but the hands and arms (in order to continue manipulating the puppets), he is able to extend his chakra strings throughout the body of the puppets, and as their weapons or bodies strike, Jiigo is able to make a small amount of flame pop into existence at the very ends of them. This flame is hot enough to cause first degree burns, and basically extends the effective range of the weapons by about six inches. The flame may be fired forward, or at an angle.

Nefarious Wrap
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Pre-req: Nefarious Curve
Combining momentum with control, Jiigo is able to sweep one of Nefarious' extended chains to the side. If the chain contacts an opponent, the weight of the spike on the end of it and Jiigo's own control will cause the chain to wrap its way around the target at a speed equal to the puppet's Deftness stat.

The switch blade had barely enough time to emerge from the puppet's wings, and it was so soon crushed that the fire was unable to appear at all. The myriad parts of the puppet littered her legs in scratches too, however the all the cuts she sustained were negligible, including the activated switch blade's.

"Don't you think you're trying a little too hard?" she asked, as the chains sped toward her. She sprang backwards into multiple back flips, alternating between standing on her hands and feet. The chains were quite long, but not quite as long as the arena, as shown by how they fell short of her as she stood with her back to the wall. And then a blade of air sliced open the front of her pretty little kimono, leaving a cut on her chest. "Oh.." was all she said before she fell to the ground, allowing the sand to soak up some of the blood from her wound. She was silent as she lay, face down in the sand, unmoving.

Perhaps she was right and they were trying a bit too hard. Still, perhaps it was a trap to lure them into lowering their guard and attacks. It appeared they had taken her down and while she lay there motionless, Hiroto couldn't help but wonder what move to use next. His partner urged him to throw something good, but honestly, he really did not have anything. Just more techniques to cut... He started his series of hand signs. He gave Jiigoa nod, hoping he would pin the girl down now that she was on the ground still. As for him, he wrapped up his seals and gathered the chakra to his right hand. He then thrust his palm outward and aimed the released burst if air towards the girls legs. He did not know if she was done or playing possum, but in this case adding more cuts to her legs would hopefully slow her down.

After having performed the needed hand signs, Hiroto channels chakra to either hand. He then performs a palm thrust, releasing the fuuton chakra in the direction he attacked in. The burst of air travels up to a distance of 10m at a speed of three, causing slicing damage.

Jiigo was a big fan of playing it safe, and had encountered medical ninja before. Haruna had a trick like this--playing opossum and quietly healing yourself, striking while the enemy's guard was down.

Nefarious' chains got sucked back up into him, and the puppet would float silently to be above the girl's head--and then launch a quintuplet of chains downward into her body. He'd try to aim for areas that wouldn't kill her instantly: being in the village, and in the middle of an exam, there was sure to be a medic near by that could stop it, right?

Hiroto threw his own wind jutsu low to the ground, and Jiigo fired off another set of five chains to the area surrounding the girl--two to the left, two to the right, and one above her head. The shitty part of being face down on the ground was not being able to see what was coming until it was too late.

[Nafan~]

The pair's attacks flew through the air, bearing down upon the small, prone form of the girl. She could hear the rush of the wind and the harsh metallic clinks of the chains as they approached. She grit her teeth as she prepared herself, a sharp intake of breath the only sign. The incoming projectiles struck only sand. The sand was thrown up in a massive cloud as the instructor kicked herself off of the ground.

Her movements were so quick, she seemed to fly rather than run the distance between herself and the puppet user. A huge cloud of sand followed her as she moved. Her back leg planted firmly in the ground, she took one final step forward and twisted her spine for full momentum in a backhanded punch towards Jiigo's sternum (7 str). Her eyes blazed furiously as she stared him down, the sheer will in her eyes was like its own physical force, demanding that he fall. Her speed, force and intimidating aura were likely to be beyond anything either of the Genin had ever seen.

Perhaps playing it safe wasn't such a good call after all. Hiroto couldn't keep up with her, but he at least had to try. His hands went to work, weaving signs for a jutsu. He was uncertain if he would be able to release a jutsu in timeto save his partner, but perhaps while she went after him, he could target her. When his seals were done, he raced off to the side in hopes of casting the technique on her right hand side. Bringing his hands to his mouth, he released a blast of air at the young woman. He wasn't sure if it would push her away from Jiigo but at the very least it would likely hurt her.

*Wind Element • Great Breakthrough
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
By performing the needed hand seals and bringing their hands to their mouth, the user can release an incredible blast of air. This blast of air moves outward in a cone shape with a five foot radius at the end of the cone and moves with a speed of six. Once it makes contact with a substance, the wind both cuts at it and pushes it away. The cone causes cuts that are deep enough to bleed a fair amount and the air is rather strong, pushing with a strength of five. This blast goes out for a maximum of thirty feet if it doesn’t hit anything, where it will dissipate into the surrounding air.

Jiigo wasn't able to move fast enough to get away, per se, and he knew it. Instead, his cape--his puppet--came rushing to his aide, slipping to his front. The punch landed squarely, and Sinister wasn't able to hold against it. Instead of breaking, assuming the block was successful and that Hiroto's counter-attack didn't work, it merely absorbed some of the force and slowed the punch as it hit him--but it still would hit him like a ton of bricks.

The difference is more that he fell back a couple of feet and landed on his ass, rather than flying back ten or more yards, and that his sternum was bruised and the wind was knocked out of him, but it wasn't broken and his lungs hadn't collapsed. He would definitely accept that. He had no voice, but was able to wheeze out the word "strong" just barely, one hand holding to his chest, clutching the part that hurt, while the other danced and brought Nefarious in from behind, hopefully to hit the enemy from the back. He wouldn't give up that easy!

Even if it hurt like hell.

[Nafan~]

The proctor turned toward Hiroto as soon as she'd smacked Jiigo in the chest. She grit her teeth and turned her feet on a slight angle to catch the wind as it came, grazing her as it passed over her body. There was nothing she could have done to avoid it so soon after attacking.While it was not strong enough to push her back, it was more than enough for the approaching puppet, Nefarious. She would have shaken her head if she wasn't in the middle of a slicing whirlwind, trying to cover her eyes.

The puppet was thrown back by Jiigo's teammate's technique, slashes appearing even on its wooden hide. It seemed as though all the synergy they'd had a moment ago was gone, and their strategies were clashing.

Once the wind subsided, the tiny tester launched forward toward Hiroto, jumping nimbly to kick him in the throat shin first. She wondered how they'd try and defend this time.
