It was time again to check back in with the supposedly great village of Sunagakure, which, had fallen to trouble and turmoil lately. Unfortunately, Ikanbi was to remain neutral in these matters, but, she still had business to attend to. She was a retired Jounin, but she was still will respected, as much as anyone respects a mad man with a nuke, but respected none the less.
No, she wasn't respected. She was feared, loathed, disgusted, distrusted. She had never been liked in the first place, and for what? Ikanbi had done nothing but exist and yet people spread lies and rumors about her. For what? What purpose? Why? It was frustrating and quite frankly it was bullshit. They could all piss off, really.
She mottled off a mawkish poem to herself and made do with a warm beer she had on hand, then after two of those she spouted off another poem to the kids and drank a whole bottle of wine, then sang quite beautifully, but sadly for quite a bit of the journey.
They still had quite a ways before they reached Sunagakure.
Ikanbi wasn't generally truculent, but, she had been drinking and was now rather argumentative either way. Over the dumbest and most trivial of things too.

It was a good thing that Ikanbi and her writer were magnanimous, or many of the people involved would have been killed or sued in court for ridiculous things that they had said in their direction. That was exactly how Ikanbi had begun her incredibly angrily worded letter to those that had wronged her.
"First of all, I'm not even sorry, not at all. I'd do it again." She had said to the lot of them when given the chance to do so. She had time now, time to think and to repair and to seek therapy and undo some real damage. Well, some damage could never be undone. Still, she could never understand what would drive someone to start spreading lies and whatnot.

She sought out whilst in Sunagakure a friend from the scribes. In Wind Country their were a great many spirits to be found, but several monkey spirits, nomads, kindred spirits of her own, could be called upon in time of need. They were looking to train with a particular monkey spirit today, Ikanbi had taken the children from Sunagakure out into wind country a ways. They had stopped into Suna first for a few supplies and some information gathering of sorts. They pressed the air and found just how much damage had come from the war and heard of a bit of a tiff where a rebellion was stirring up.
Ah, so the rebellion had begun.
Ikanbi had seen the whole thing play out in the Oracle Engine. The balance of the nations would find itself true, eventually, one way or another. The map couldn't be all brown forever. Ikanbi shifted her focus to the group of children on her left as they left Sunagakure and set back out into the wild country. It wasn't very far actually, where they were going, to the east. It would only take them a few hours via caravan, which, they did use the caravans. They were nifty little things after all. With proper maintenance and love, the caravans could carry them very far for long distances and great lengths of time.
Ikanbi was truly thankful for her place in life. How wonderful everything was, really. She handed out pastries and snacks to the children with a smile as they set out.
She tuned it with the crown and listened carefully to everyone's thoughts as they dug into their snacks, revealing their secrets.
