Whispers Beneath the Lotus Pond

There was a small village outside of Kirigakure named Iwane Village. The reason why no one has really heard of it is because it has all but been abandoned. Due to it being surrounded by weird marshland and being destroyed in a war a long time ago. This abandoned village has been rumored to be cursed and haunted, but intel and previous investigations has tried to prove those rumors being known as rumors. Over time this village has kept it's presence due to being slightly visible via one of the trade routes that both Water Country and Kirigakure use to export and import goods. Within the last couple of months there have been several reporting's of wagons full of materials going missing. It has been so extreme, even the carriers of the cargo themselves went missing along with the horses! Kazuha and Ohta have been tasked with going to the village and investigating if there is anything true to this or not.

With that being said, Ohta got her mission brief. Her estate seemed small compared to what she is used to in Water Country. She annoyingly sent her butler to the front entrance to answer the door after a couple of quick but loud knocks. The butler simply walked up to her and handed her the letters. 'How annoying' she thought, as she finished the mission brief. She is promptly supposed to meet someone named Kazuha at the Kirigakure gates and leave swiftly. So the princess got all of her clothes and changed out of her formal attire. With her hood thrown over her head, she snapped her fingers as she walked outside in order to call upon a horse and carriage. The butler would take the reins at the same time as she entered and with a quick whip followed by a "Hee-yah!" The carriage marched forward towards the gate.

Whether she was first or last didn't matter, the young princess stepped out of the carriage and it immediately started to leave. Although she was annoyed with being tasked with such a mission, she was excited to get out there and see how her training was coming along. With chuunin exams coming up soon, she needed to use all of her time to get stronger and powerful. One day she is going to rule Water Country, so better to do it with money and physical power! Ohta walked over to the gate and looked around, she didn't know what her fellow shinobi would look like, but she had to at least be noticeable right?
