Riders on the storm

Soku slouched on a bench somewhere within the southeastern portion of the village hidden in the clouds wishing that he could think of something to do.

He had been bored for several days straight, mostly because of the lack of work at the forge. Being the amazing metal crafter that he was it wasn't uncommon for Soku to complete orders that normally took months in a few days, a week at the most. As good as this sounded the one thing that Soku hated about it was the lack of activities he could partake in outside of the forge.

His visit with Akimi had been the first time he had been outside of the forge in weeks, except when his team first met in the tea shop the day before that night.

But he had decided to change that by taking a walk. A few minutes into this walk, however, he had discovered that walking was rather boring. And since he had forgot his guitar at home now he had no other choice but to sit around like a bump on a log and wait for something interesting to come to him.

But the most interesting thing he had seen all morning was a squirrel skitter across the street and disappear behind a shrubbery.

"And some lucky guy is stuck behind a desk doing paperwork." Soku thought moodily to himself, knowing that doing paperwork would be more interesting than sitting on his ass not working on any papers.

But then, just after this depressing yet truthful thought, someone rode lazily by on a bike. It was a simple device, one that relied on its rider to pedal in order to rotate a small chain which rotated the back tire.

"I bet you could go pretty fast on that thing..." Soku thought to himself, his one track mind returning to the battlefield. "But it wouldn't be able to go fast enough to be helpful. But what if it... was?"

Soku jumped to his feet, his arms bent at the elbow and his fingers spread wide. A large grin spread across the special jounin's face as an idea formed in his head. Since he could manipulate metal with magnetism, what if he made a device that would be both fast and maneuverable. Something.... entirely new.

Soku's feet were already moving before he told them to, and he already knew where they were headed.

Soku couldn't get back to the forge as fast as he'd liked, but when he finally burst through those doors the special jounin was already working out all the kinks in his idea.

the first thing he needed was a bike to base his plans off of, and luckily he had several stashed behind the shop for spare metal. It's not like those kids needed them anymore. In his day he had been lucky to have enough food to eat, let alone having anything of actual worth.

Back in his day? He was starting to sound like the old man.

Soku returned to the forge with a rusty old red bike in his hands, he pushed out the kick stand and set it on the ground beside his favorite bar stool. He sat down and placed his chin in his hand, rubbing at the short stubble lining his jaw as he thought about the supplies he would need.

Within a few moments the man was up on his feet and making a bee line towards some old piping that he and Tenshu had to remove from the house. After gathering about eighty pounds of the metal piping Soku made his way towards one of his favorite tools, his handy dandy torch.

After twisting the knob of the large tank of oxygen attached to the long, hose-like tube Soku reached for some flint and sparked it across the front of the torch. In a blinding flash of light a large stream of fire shot from the end of the brass nozzle, but quickly died down as Soku pushed down on a small lever. Once the white hot flame was to his liking the special jounin slipped on a circular pair of black goggles and cut through the first tube.

Two hours and three burnt fingers later, Soku had a frame together that could withstand a twelve story drop. He was going to need it, considering what he had in store for it.

Next he needed an engine. Well, not an engine exactly, just something to make the back tire spin. And Soku already had that planned out. After rummaging through the forge for the supplies he needed Soku was back at his work-in-progress's side.

The engine that would power his device wasn't much different than a bike's means of movement, his was just much more powerful and awesome. He would use his own raiton chakra, stored in a device that triggered after Soku turned his right handlebar grip, to spin a cylinder attached to a long metal chain. This chain would then spin the back tire of his creation, only because this chain rotated at a much faster speed he expected to get a lot more kick out of it.

It took him even longer to make than the frame, but when he was done it was starting to look a lot like the image he had in his mind. Now he needed some spokes and tires, which he easily crafted out of a long piece of sheet metal and actual bike tires. He screwed them onto the frame with a large wrench, but then he ran into several problems.

One, how would he get the raiton chakra from the storage cell to the motor? Two, where in the hell was he going to sit with that motor in the way? Three, how would he attach the handlebars to the front tire? All of these issues were major problems so it was a good thing that Soku was both stubborn and talented.

He decided to tackle the most difficult sounding problem out of all three. He started rummaging through the old pipes again, trying to think of a way to attach the front tire to the frame.

It actually turned out to be the most simple problem he faced, it was a simple process to attach two long metal poles to either side of the front tire to the front of his creation. The difficult part was to figure out a way to make the handlebars twist from side to side in order to turn the vehicle once (if) it started moving. But he solved that with a trapezoid shaped piece of steel that both attached the two long poles together and swiveled along the front of the frame.

The next issue, the question of how the raiton chakra would flood into the makeshift motor, was also a relatively simple fix. By attaching long, thin copper wires throughout his bike he would be able to focus raiton through them into individual portions of it.

His last issue was, surprisingly, the hardest thing to solve. But, by using the fabric and padding from several old bicycles, Soku was able to craft a long black seat that attached to the top of the frame. But after doing so the man was beginning to feel his humanity catching up to him, he was getting tired.

So he called it a day and went to bed.

The next morning, roughly six and a half hours later, Soku grunted as he slipped out of bed. About a dozen different joints on his body cracked once or twice as he made his way towards the bathroom to begin his morning ritual. In a sort of half-asleep daze the special jounin fumbled around for his toothbrush, eventually he managed to get a firm hold on the little bastard and commenced to brushing his teeth.

A few minutes later the dark brown haired man was dressed and ready for action. And by ready for action he was ready to hurt himself in the forge trying to put together this insanely idiotic idea he was working on.

Now he had all of the necessary parts he needed all fitted together, now he just needed to make it look cool and function even better.

It took him twelve hours to complete the metal armor, attaching the copper wire to the motor and right handlebar, and making it look bitchin. Lastly Soku fitted the motor with a small rectangular device that was filled with his own raiton chakra. When he turned the right handlebar grip it would send the raiton chakra through the copper wire and into the motor, causing the cylinder to spin which rotated the chain attached to the rear tire.

In theory, it could work.

So that evening Soku wheeled his metal creation onto his back lawn, he sat on the black leather seat and held the bike up with both of his legs. He hadn't actually weighed it yet but he guessed it weighed around two hundred and eighty pounds, maybe a little over three hundred. It's black and grey steel matched Soku's eyes and clothing perfectly, something the special jounin hadn't actually tried to accomplish but even he had to admit that he looked damn good on it.

But now for the moment of truth, time to see if this contraption was going to work properly or blow up in his face. Either way, it would make for one interesting evening.

So without hesitation Soku brought his leg up and then kicked it down on the starter near the bottom of the bike, and to his amazement, the motor roared to life. It trembled under his body slightly as the cylinder inside the engine whirred around at an incredibly fast pace. Now all he had to do was twist the throttle and the cylinder would begin rotating the chain attached to the back tire.

Or so he hoped.

As the special jounin twisted the throttle and released the brake the bike jumped to life and lept forward, almost throwing the wide eyed man off of it altogether. But Soku kept a firm grip and watched as his shed passed him by like a blur, but now he was heading towards the busy street full of people that had faces of people thinking "What in the hell is that noise.. and what is THAT?!" So to avoid them Soku simply turned the handlebars of his contraption, causing him to veer off to the right.

Soku twisted the throttle even further, causing the bike to pick up speed as he made his way back towards the forge. At the last possible moment he slammed on both the foot and hand brake, causing the bike to twist and peel out across the grass (which didn't do wonders for the lawn but Soku had bigger issues to deal with for the moment).

The bike crashed to the ground as it continued to slide towards the forge, but luckily Soku was thrown from it as it fell so he avoided being crushed beneath it's metal girth. The bike slammed into the side of the forge noisily.

Tenshu burst out of the house and glared at the source of the noise, ready to scream, yell, and curse at whoever was responsible. But when he saw Soku sprawled out across the lawn and some sort of metal contraption laying against the wall the only thing he could do was stand there and gape.

"It works! Ha ha!" Soku shouted, jumping to his feet and raising his clenched fists into the air victoriously.

"What in the hell have you done now, boy?!" Tenshu bellowed, already making his way towards Soku's bike angrily.

Soku got to his creation before the old bannin and hauled it up onto its large, black rubber wheels before explaining. "It's just an idea I got at the park yesterday. It's like a bike but... bigger."

"And a lot more noisy. Just make sure you don't blow anything up this time, alright? I still haven't grown back that eyebrow all the way..."

With that the old man lumbered back into his house and Soku returned to the forge, grinning from ear to ear and trying to think of ways to improve his new bike.

Five days after Soku's first test run the special jounin found himself, once again, hammering away at scraps of white hot metal in the forge. Bright showers of sparks leaped to life with each swing of the heavy steel hammer, the light from the forge reflected off of Soku's dark, circular welding goggles. A thin layer of sweat had already begun to appear across the brown haired ninja's body because of a combination of physical labor and the forge's heat.

But in here Soku felt completely at peace, no matter how noisy or hot it got. Here he could shut out all of the outside world's distractions and focus on his true passion, metal. For nearly his entire life he had been surrounded by it, whether he was using one of his finely crafted tools on the battlefield or creating one for a client. But his new project was beginning to open his eyes to an entire new world of metal fabrication.

Motors, engines, pistons, chains, they were all so fascinating to him. He would honestly spend all of his waking hours learning more about these devices if he didn't need to sleep, eat, and use the toilet.

Sometimes being human could be a real drag.

After his first test run Soku had made a very lengthy list of modifications to add to his new contraption. A few tweaks here and a few welds there eventually turned into a project that would probably take several days to finish, even if Soku worked diligently.

Of course Soku didn't have a problem with fact at all, but if he spent all of his time here how would he make time for his team? And for Baako.

Her name alone sparked his still vivid memory of what had happened last night in the woods just outside of the village gates. He still had mixed feelings about what had happened, but he knew it had drawn Baako and himself closer together no matter which way he looked at it. She had even said that she loved him, something that the special jounin didn't take lightly.

But what could she possibly see in him? He was almost completely opposite personality wise, his attitude was the equivalent of his neighbor's canine companion's morning stool, and since he worked in a forge all day he probably didn't exactly smell "springtime fresh."

Whatever the reason was, it looked like she didn't have a mere crush on him anymore.

But for the moment his mind was on the red hot steel clenched between his tongs and the hammer clenched in his right hand. Soku had removed the bandages that morning and inspected the once burnt flesh. To say the least it had felt as good as new, so the special jounin didn't bother with putting a clean wrap on it once again.

Baako woke up that morning with one thing on her mind, Soku. she sat there in bed thinking of last night. She than got up and looked at the mirror. her ears twitched as she inspected herself. "I cant believe i told him i love him. Even though i really dont know what he thinks of me. I left myself vulnerable." Baako spoke to herself as she got dressed, placing her goggles on her head and her head band on her neck. She looked at herself in the mirror again. She could see a Shinobi staring back at her. Her ears than twitched as she looked at her fur and ears. "He probably doesnt even see me as a woman, but some sort of freak" she lowered her eyes slightly and stared at her stomach. she than smiled slightly. "No, if he thought i was a freak than he wouldnt of even kissed my hand."

Baako was happy all morning, she was in the kitchen making a can of the save that she placed on Soku's burn. Really she just wanted a reason to see Soku. As she finished the batch, she added a mint to help relieve the medicine smell. She than placed the batch in a bright orange can that is 4 inches in height and 5 inches wide. She placed the lid on the can tightly and smiled at her work. She than washed her hands staring out in the garden her sisters hare making. Her sisters decided to make a flower garden, but they also planted herbs for Baako to use. Baako smiled at there generosity.

She than grabbed up the save and headed out the door. She didnt tell anyone of the night and decided not to. For if Soku wanted the world to know than he would say it himself. Besides the village and his teammates already know that she loves him. Even though Akimi is a bitch about it, she knows that Baako cant hide her feelings, but Baako decided that she will try to hold back. For the sake of her team. Baako was heading to the forage her ears twitching at the noise coming from the building. Soku is hard at work, should I go in than? Baako stood there a moment thinking if she should interrupt his working. But than decided to go ahead and walk in.

Baako was holding the can infront of her as she entered the forge. She placed her goggles on for she knew that the forge is a place of sparks, and flying metal. on which she didnt want her eyes getting hurt over. She saw Soku but didnt say anything. She walked over to a bar stool and sat there. The Save cane resting in her lap. She watched as Sokus muscle tensed and sweat trickled down his skin. The smell of his sweat intoxicated her. She smiled slightly as she watched him work.

With all of the noise going off around the special jounin he probably wouldn't have heard a tree crashing through the wall behind him, let alone a cat woman that could probably sneak up on an actual cat.

So, completely oblivious to Baako's presence, Soku continued fabricating the rear bumper of his new motorized bicycle device. The name "motorized bicycle device" didn't really sound very cool or bitchin' for that matter, so Soku was going to make it a point to come up with a name for his newfound contraption.

But before he could worry about a name he would have to make it battle ready, which, at the moment, it was far from.

The brown haired shinobi's hammer fell upon the heated steel again and again, the metal on metal clash ringing throughout the forge with each blow. Soku's arm moved with expert precision and grace. The hammer shaped the metal in his hands as if the steel itself was alive and following the special jounin's command.

The loud cadence of hammer bangs soon began to hypnotize Soku, as it always did. He became completely engulfed in his work, the metal became his opponent and the hammer his tool of destruction.

Fifteen minutes later Soku pulled the rounded piece of steel from the blazing forge and quickly dipped it into a barrel of ice cold water. Steam hissed from the top of the barrel and engulfed the special jounin for a moment of two as the metal rapidly cooled off. This would prevent the metal from bending in it's weakened state while he set it into place.

Now that the metal was cool to the touch Soku gripped it firmly in both of his gloved hands and hauled it out of the bucket. He hauled the chunk of metal over to his motor bike and carefully fitted it over the rear tire, the cold black metal only a few inches away from the rubber.

Once he had the fender placed exactly where he wanted the special jounin walked over to a supply bench and grabbed a handful of cast iron screws. He returned to his bike's side and kneeled down, dropping all but one of the screws onto the floor beside him.

Without warning the screw leaped to life in his hands, rotating through the air at a rapid pace. By creating a magnetic field around the nail he was able to spin it faster than any powered drill could ever hope to. With the wave of his hand the spinning screw pressed against and then drilled through the sheet of steel, ultimately passing through the bike's inner frame as well. The screws would securely hold the fender in place even during the most brutal of impacts.

It took him several minutes to completely fasten the rear fender onto his creation, but even he had to admit that the black steel really suited the look that he was going for.

This bike wasn't just about Soku's own curiosity anymore, it was far more than that. It was slowly but surely becoming a piece of art, what was once a scrap heap of jagged and rusted metal was now a sleek, well crafted machine. He stepped back and placed his hands on his hips, admiring his work.

"Damn, I'm tired of being good." he muttered to himself, grinning slightly as his eyes ran down the pounded metal that was his bike.

It was just after saying this that Soku spun around to get a drink from the house when he noticed Baako sitting in one of his many bar stools. He froze, the sight of her taking him by surprise.

"How long have you been sitting there?" he asked, scratching the back of his head and tilting his head down towards the floor. He would never admit it but Soku felt a little embarrassed when someone watched him as he worked. He couldn't put his finger on why but there was just something unnerving about it.

B-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: Denryoku Tei [Electric Stopping Power]
Creating yet another electromagnetic field around themselves, users of this technique will quickly rotate the field, which will then rotate any metal objects within the field. This creates a fairly effective barrier against most physical attacks, as well as a good many fuuton, katon and raiton jutsu of similar rank. A-Rank or higher Katon jutsu will negate this jutsu, and A-Rank raiton techniques are negated entirely.

Baako watched as Soku was forming his metal, the noise was a bit loud for her. which caused her ears to pin down as close to her head as they possibly can. She watched as Soku did the one thing he loved to do. It was like poetry in her eyes. She was enjoying herself. She than got wide eyed when she saw the screw going fast. A jutsu?

When Soku stopped and said how he was good, Baako giggled. She than smiled a bit when he finally realized she was sitting there. "Oh, not too long Soku-kun" she said smiling. She hoped down from the stool and walked to him. She than paused and noticed his un-wrapped hand. "SOKU-KUN!" she said sternly, she grabbed his hand and lifted it to his face. "Do you want that to get infected?" she asked concernedly. She than took him by the hand and lead him into his own house, she marched straight for the kitchen, turned the water on luke-warm and placed his hand under it.She placed the can of medication on the counter as she reached over for some soap and continued to scrub his hand.

"Soku-kun, a burn needs to stay wrapped at all times to heal. If you dont than it will get infected and get worse."
She now was giggling at the fact that she was getting all worked up about this. She was treating him like her little sisters. She than slowly stopped washing his hand and stepped back blushing.
"Im sorry Soku-kun" she than slightly bowed her head to him.

Rai viewed all this with apprehension from the stairs. He lounged there lazily on the stairs casually charging and releasing kinetic energy into a small wooden doll. Rai sighed heavily watching the look of love in Baako's eyes as she treated Soku's burns. He drifted into his own dream world where a girl was a devoted and happy to be around him as Baako was with Soku. Rai sighed as he snapped back to reality and stood, clomping down the stairs with a nonchalant air. He opened the fridge and grabbed a beer. "What's up guys? I have actually been meaning to talk to you two about something so it is pretty convenient that you are both here...

Rai cracked open his beer and drank about half the bottle in a single gulp. He sighed and burped a little. Before flopping down in a chair He looked at Soku then at Baako. "Well you guys. It's time i came clean. I wanna come back to the team. Whether or not you let me is up to you. But I would really like to come home." Rai killed his beer with another gulp and tossed it into the trashcan the sound of it shattering rung out in the kitchen.

Soku was about to open one of the kitchen cabinets to grab another roll of white medical tape when his brother spoke up.

At first Soku didn't react to Rai's request, he instead walked over to the counter where Baako had placed the orange container and popped the lid open. He scooped up a small amount of the cream colored salve and rubbed it along his burnt hand, making sure to cover the entire wound. Then he began wrapping his hand with the white medical bandages, making sure to cover each individual finger first before moving on to his palm.

"I don't know, brother." Soku replied in a casual voice, his left hand winding the medical tape around his injured hand as he spoke up. "Should we let someone who left so easily back into the club?"

After saying this he cut the medical tape still attached to the roll with a kunai and placed the remaining bandages next to the still open orange container full of salve.

Soku looked at Baako and nodded at his younger brother, "What do you think?"

Baako smiled as she saw Rai walk in, but soon fell to a What face. (O.O)... Did he just ask what i think he asked?Baako watched as Soku wrapped his hand. She than listened to what he said. She slightly agreed with Soku but to her Rai is still apart of the team, no matter what he says. "Well, Soku-kun its a toss up. But right now im in wow, cause of what happened yesterday with Akimi-san." Baako than lowered her ears and looked at the floor. "I think she would freak out and scream and blow our ear drums." she than snicked slightly. Baako smiled at Rai, "I do agree with Soku though, you did cause alot of heart ache for just saying what you said. But in my mind you are still apart of this team."

Rai sighed a deep seated sigh stood up and opened another beer. Just as he did Tenshu walked in. The brawny man stood in the doorway staring. Rai stood near the fridge holding an ice cold beer. Rai smiled casually and tossed Tenshu the beer. "Heard ya coming master" Tenshu stared at Rai for a long moment with a raised eyebrow, cracked open the beer with his thumb, and turned and walked away. Rai waited until the sound of a hammer could be heard again before opening thew fridge and grabbing another beer.

He cracked it open and drank it fast. before sitting down once more. "Look guys I know what i said may have hurt some feelings....and I know Akimi probably thoroughly despises me but look I cannot achieve my goals alone. I need you guys...." During his emotional speech he unknowingly flooded his empty bottle with kinetic energy. It exploded into shards that scattered around the kitchen. Several pieces embedded themselves in Rai''s hand. Blood began to drip onto the table. Rai sighed a little and got up to grab a towel.

Soku placed his face into his burnt hand, shaking his head back and forth. "I think you're right, Baako. Akimi is going to throw a fit..."

The special jounin trailed off, trying to comprehend how the indigo haired kunoichi would react to the news. It was nearly impossible to guess how she would react to anything, so instead of stressing over the idea any longer Soku directed his attention back to the situation at hand.

"As far as I'm concerned you've always had a spot on our team, Rai. But don't come crying to me when Akimi melts your brain with some insane genjutsu technique. Trust me, she isn't one to show her foes mercy."

Soku slipped into the kitchen with Rai and made a beeline for the fridge. All of his brother's drinking had made him realize he hadn't had anything to drink all day. The special jounin opened the fridge and removed one of his valued iced tea jugs.

He removed two glasses from a nearby cupboard and poured the clear brown liquid into each of them. He slid one of the glasses across the counter towards Baako before taking a long sip from his own cup.

"Hey guys, I've got a favor to ask you if we're done with the reunion. I've been working on a project out in the forge and I need some.... test subjects."

Baako, stayed quiet, as she took up the glass of tea. She sipped on it. She really didnt know what else to say on the subject of Rai joining back up with the team, but she does know its not going to be pretty when Akimi hears this. Baakos eyes than got wide when Rai hurt himself. "whats with you boys and hurting yourselves!?" Baako walked over to Rai and dragged him to the sink. She grabbed a bowl and filled it with Luke-warm water and placed Rai's hand in it. she found a thing of salt and poured it in the water. She continued to listen to Soku as she did this. Once the bleeding slowed, she pulled his hand out of the bowl and dumped it. She observed his hand. "Your lucky no shards got in your wounds Rai-san" she said. She than walked over to the salve and took a tad bit of the cream from the can. she than lightly placed it over his cuts. They weren't too bad. She than reached in her pouch and pulled out several band aids. She finished placed all the bandages on Rais cuts and smiled. "there you go, should heal faster than Soku-kuns hand"

Her ears than twitched. She than turned to Soku "Test subject?" Baako spoke, in a curious but scared.

Rai went along with Baako's patching techniques. The turned to face his brother..Test subject? I am definitely going to need more liquor Rai sighed and shook his head remembering being a test subject many times before. Rai looked at his bandaged hand then at Soku then and Baako.

"Well alrighty lets do it"

Soku grinned and downed the rest of his iced tea. He slammed the cup onto the counter and briskly made his way past Baako and Rai. A certain gleam could be seen in his eyes. A twinkle that said "Oh boy, you guys have no clue how long I've been waiting for this."

He led them both back into the forge but then held his arm up, signaling them to remain outside.

Once inside the forge Soku almost sprinted over to his contraption. He lifted his leg up and over the bike then firmly planted his rump on the black, leather seat. He felt the handle bar's smooth rubber grip, gripping it with his fingers out of habit. Then, with a kick, Soku released the raiton chakra stored within the small battery.

The bike's engine roared to life as Soku twisted the handle bar's throttle, the motor under his seat hummed slightly as the cylinder inside pumped electricity throughout the bike. Then, without a second thought, Soku slammed the gear shift down with his boot and took off like a bat put of hell.

Soku and his motor bike barely cleared the forge's entrance, but once his contraption was outside Soku turned the handle bar sharply and planted his foot on the ground. The bike's tires skidded across the grass and the heel of his boot kicked up a trail of dust as it slid across the dirt.

The bike came to a stop about ten feet from his teammates. Soku was grinning from ear to ear, one hundred percent pleased with his new toy.

Baako went outside with Rai, she was scared she didnt know what to expect. She than heard a large rawr from the forge and out came Soku on the thing she saw him tinker with earlier. Her eyes were wide, she didnt know what to say. she was stunned. "Please dont tell me, that were test subjects for that" she said pointing at the metal rawring bike.

Rai stared dumbly at the machine. He sipped heavily from his huge jug if sake he brought out and slowly his smile began to spread. Wider and wider it spread before he grinned like a baby at an undisclosed winter time holiday. "Brother. That.....is.......AMAZING!"

Soku laughed at both of their reactions, Baako's because he had never heard her sound more scared and Rai because he completely and utterly agreed.

"I was just sitting in the park one day and this lady rode by on her bicycle. Then I got an idea, then that idea turned into plan, and that plan turned into this bad boy!" The special jounin slapped his hand against the piece of black steel bolted to the frame right in front of where he was sitting.

"I still haven't worked out all of the kinks yet but my goal is to get this baby battle ready as soon as possible. I'm going to need you two to try and fight me while I ride on it, that way I can get a feel for what I'll need to add." Soku explained. But then a thought occured to him and he glared at his younger brother.

"And I swear to god if you blow it up I'm going to shove whatever is left of it down your throat." The special jounin arched an eyebrow and pointed a shaking finger towards Rai to add more emphasis to his warning.

Baako right ear twitched as she heard Soku threaten Rai. He is serious isnt he ... well this will be fun .. i guess. Baako than crossed her arms and looked at Soku. "well lets get this over with" she said. She was not looking foward to this. She new what ever thing he has got going on will be a challenge.

Rai ginned from ear to ear as Soku exclaimed that he had better not blow up the machine. All my plans down the drain Rai stared at the courtyard before turning to Soku

"Shouldn't we go somewhere else the courtyard is kinda cramped and the old man might get upset once we get started. We could scare away customers" Rai looked at Soku and waited for a response from him. He also cast a side3ways glance at Baako swallowing the lump in his throat as he did.

Soku tilted his head around and frowned, they definitely weren't in the most prime location to spar. Especially since Soku had some very noisy, destructive, and reckless training strategies in mind.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. I would say hop on and I'd drive you to the wasteland outside of the village but it can only sit two people..."

With that the special jounin looked at Baako, then Rai with an eyebrow arched.

"So who wants to hoof it?"

Baako nodded her head with agreement. She thought that this place was too small to fight or at least avoid danger. Her right ear twitched when Soku said that he give one of them a ride. She raised her right eyebrow and pointed at the contraption.

"Soku-kun do you really think im going to ride on that thing! YOU JUST MADE IT FOR CHRIST SAKES!" She than crossed her arms and turned her back. "Why would i want to ride it? Give me one good reason" It wasnt that Baako didnt want to ride something with Soku, for it would be so romantic. But She was scared of it.

Rai rolled His eyes and walked into the shop. He came out wielding a flat piece of sheet metal curved on the front and some heavy rope. He tossed them down and walked over to Baako. He grabbed her by the waist and bodily sat her on the seat behind Soku. Then he picked up the rope and tossed it to Soku. "Got a place you can hook that?"

Soku scooted further up into his seat to give Baako a few more inches of room, but then he realized his brother's plan once he asked about where he could hook the rope up to the bike.

The inner moral conflict that ensued in Soku's subconscience was a good versus evil brawl. On one hand, if this idea worked it would be by far the most bitchin' looking thing ever. But on the other hand if this plan went wrong, which it probably would, Rai might end up getting hurt or killed.

But then the idea of him and Baako driving his bike over a massive rock with Rai flying on a metal magic carpet behind them was all the convincing he needed.

Soku grabbed the rope without another thought and bent sideways in his seat. He was barely able to tie the rope to one of the rear shocks, but the metal rod and spring would be more than strong enough to keep Rai from crashing into a ditch.

With the rope fastened Soku gunned the engine and turned his head back, looking at Baako and asking, "You ready? I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to jump off of this thing and run screaming in the other direction!"

Baako's eyes widened, She was man handled and she swears there was a cop a feel in there some where. She sat there for a moment .. speechless. She than watched as Rai brought out a rope and a sheet metal. Oh do tell me? and as soon as he asked "Got a place you can hook that?" Baako flipped! "DONT YOU DARE!! NO NO WAY!, RAI YOU CAN BE KILLED!!!!!!" She started to flair her arms in the air. "THIS IS A BAD IDEA!" Than when Soku gave her the option to hop off she did. She crossed her arms. " I rather run than be in a horrible reck. Besides i need my Bo staff." She glared at both the guys. "you both are insane!"

Rai Wrapped the rope around his waist And stood on the sheet metal. He stared around slowly....then untied the rope and walked over to the scrap heap. A Bowl shaped piece of metal lay there Rai slapped it onto his head and retook his place on his "sled" He started to tie the rope around his waist but instead tied it through a convientently placed hole at the front of the "sled" and grabbed on with one hand. Then he drew his staff I can use this for balance......i hope Rai grinned from ear to ear and looked from Baako to Soku. "Lets hit it bro."

Soku spun around and watched as his brother wandered over to the large scrap heap beside the forge and return with a ridiculously useless looking helmet.

Ridiculously useless, but it was possibly the most funny thing he had ever seen. So the special jounin raised his arm towards the junk heap and picked out a similar bowl shaped chunk of metal and created a magnetic field around it. With the flick of his wrist the magnetic field drew near to Soku, carrying with it the metal bowl.

He caught the makeshift helmet and slipped it on before turning to the disgruntled looking cat woman standing next to the bike with her arms crossed.

"See! We're being safe!" he yelled over the engine and pointed at the metal bowl on his head. It took a large majority of his willpower to keep a straight face but somehow he managed to look entirely serious.

When his brother said that he was ready Soku revved the engine once more and said, "We're heading to the wastelands just west of here, we'll meet you up there!"

"IF we get there that is." Soku added silently.

With one final thumbs up and a wave to tell Baako to stay clear of the path of his machine Soku kicked the bike into first gear, twisting the accelerator on the right handlebar.

A mighty roar bellowed from the bike and blue crackling bolts of lightning shot from the two exhaust pipes on the right side of the contraption. The back tire screeched as it tore into the grass below it, churning a hailstorm of pebbles and dirt high into the air.

The bike jerked forward with incredible force, taking Soku, Rai, and their makeshift sled along for the ride as well.

Baako blinked as she saw the two take off. she than watched as they started to disapear. "be careful" she whispered. Baako than turned her heel and started to run back to her house. Her heart was thumping, she was scared that her love and his brother would get into a horrible accident. As she ran in the house, she gathered everything she needed, including some cheese and bread.

she tied her staff tightly to her back and ran out the door. She stood in the street and did several handsigns "Doubutsuka no Jutsu" she whispered and transformed into her Animal form. She was wearing her googles on her eyes, and her bo-staff was still on her back and the Forehead protector looked like a collar. She than started to sprint towards the direction Soku and Rai went, she followed a trail that Rai's sled left behind. She Paced herself so that she didnt ware herself out. It would take her about 25 min to a half an hour to catch up to them. bUt she would get there at the pace she was running maybe even sooner.

Baako, what did you get yourself into she thought as her paws galloped on the dirt.

The first sensation Rai felt was an odd one. It felt sort as if his arm had been ripped from its socket. Then the sled began to move. The pair hit concrete and sparks began to fly from beneath Rai. The wind blew his helmet free and his unruly hair began to fly free., He laughed aloud and sheathed his staff so he could use both hands to grip the rope as the two tore through . Kumo. As they sped through the busy market street Rai began to pull the rope to move himself from left to right. He smiled as a very smooth angled incline approached. Rai moved over towards it and waited. IT WORKED! then the ground came back and Rai was pretty sure he injured a small child. He turned to yell an apology back but all that came out was "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" As the usually peaceful street was disturbed y the immense noise coming from the Douteki brrothers.

"Yeeeeeeee-haaaaaah!!" Soku screamed at the top of his lungs, the ability to hold in his utter joy well out of his grasp.

Unlike his brother, Soku had somehow managed to keep his highly effective and stylish metal bowl helmet securely fastened to his head. It probably had something to do with the magnetic field that Rai lacked.

Occasionally the special jounin would check over his shoulder to make sure Rai hadn't fallen off of the metal sled, dying in the worst possible way he could imagine. But most of his attention was directed on the street ahead of him. Luckily the small street was relatively barren, but Soku still turned off of it the first chance he got.

As they neared the gates the path would change from flat concrete to rough, uneven rocky terrain. The bike under Soku bounced and jostled, but being the bad ass driver that Soku was it was easy to keep the large machine under control.

The same thing couldn't be said for Rai, the younger Douteki was in little to no control of the makeshift metal sled. He was literally along for the ride.

Baako continued her pace, Passing peoples saying they saw the strangest thing. She giggled lowly. Those two are crazy she thought she ran. She than smiled, Soku what am i going to do with you? she thought to herself. She continued her running, her pads of her paws touching the ground, her muscles tensing with each trust. She loved to run for that is what she is good at. She was excited to show off her justu to her team members. She wanted to prove that she was a valuable member and not some chunin that will get in the way. She was now coming to the village gate, she could hear screaming up ahead. Wow, i caught up quickly.

Rai's eyes grew six times in size as he saw the uneven terrain that was fast approaching. Oh shi..... He didn't even have time to finish his thought before he hit the first rocky outcrop. He was quickly airborne and had no control over his death Sled.

Rai landed heavily and felt the "sled" dent under the pressure. Using his weight and leverage on the rope he began to maneuver in between the rocks as best he could. He grinned. Though I might die this is the most fun I've had in a very long time He laughed manically just as he clipped a rock and got airborne sideways. Now he was laughing a nervous laugh that signified his imminent doom as his head neared the very fast moving ground.

"Crap!" Soku yelled as he watched his brother fly through the air behind him, heading at a diagonal angle right for the ground. If he were to hit at these speeds like that... It wouldn't be pretty to say the least.

With a quick movement Soku released his grip on the right handlebar and pointed his open palmed hand under his arm pit and right at his younger brother. A strong magnetic field would surround the piece of sheet metal and would then begin to pull it towards the bike, which should even out its uncontrolled trajectory.

But this was not some kunai that Soku was trying to manipulate, it was a rather large piece of metal that had a human being standing on it. So instead of completely changing Rai's course Soku was only able to alter it slightly, but the field should have slowed it down enough for Rai to be able to lane with relative ease.

He hoped.

Baakos ears lowered as she pushed herself again. The bursts of speed gave her the ability to catch up. Baako was coming over a hill when she say Rai. Her eyes widen. omg! She pushed herself once more running down trying to get to them. Her heart was pumping and the adrenaline was pumping through her. She gave a loud rawr to let them know she was behind them. Her white paws where now a dusty brown. she started to catch up. she was almost upon Rai. her ears are lowered for she didnt know what to do. She kept her distance for she didnt want him landing on her. but she kept close just in case she needs to catch him some how.

Rai felt the sled slowing correct itself as Soku used magnetism to turn it back right side. Rai held his arm above his head, his knuckles scraped along the ground but he was able to use the leverage to right himself. He stared ahead his heart racing

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! After Rai unleashed a primal roar of glee he let go of the rope and let his death sled skid to a stop. He stepped off took two step;s and blacked out.

Soku was surprised to see that his plan had actually worked, when he had seen the metal sled his brother was riding flip over in mid air he was already piecing together a heartfelt eulogy. But Rai lived, so Soku stopped at a line ending in "roadkill."

"You crazy sonofa... crap." Soku screamed as he watched his brother scream, jump off of the sled, take a couple steps, and then pass out before falling face first onto the ground. Soku turned the handle bars gripped in his hands sharply to the side, causing the metal contraption under him to fist tail. The large, spinning tire kicked up debris and dirt as it tore into the earth below, as did Soku's metal toed boot that he was using to keep himself upright.

If anyone had bothered explaining the principles of physics to Soku, he would have realized that stopping at such a fast rate whilst dragging a large piece of scrap metal wasn't the best idea.

The metal sled attached to the bike whipped forward and past the roaring bike, and then snapped violently into the air as the rope that kept it attached to Soku's contraption ran out of slack. Though the sheet metal's edges weren't sharpened, the sled cut into a poorly and unfortunately placed tree. It would cut a good six inches into the elm tree before stopping.

Once Soku's bike had skidded to a halt the special jounin kicked out the kickstand and hopped off. He ran over to his brother and turned him over onto his back. "Rai? Wake up, I have to tell you how awesome that was."

Rai's eyes opened slowly, the world was a sliver of light that slowly expanded. He became aware of several things. The first, his entire body, with particular focus on his hands and shoulders, was in the most ridiculous amount of pain he had ever experience. The second was a voice sounding like it was coming from really far away and underwater, He couldn't place the muffled voice, nor could he understand what the voice was saying. Then in a wave of memories and realization fit to destroy a small coastal town everything rushed back to him and his floaty underwater world was replaced by rocky terrain and several large blisters on his palms His brother was saying something

"Rai? Wake up, I have to tell you how awesome that was."

Rai heard this and a smile slowly spread across his face, If I never do that again I think I will die happy Rai stood kind of wobbly and drew his staff, using it to steady himself he walked over to the tree that the sled had embedded itself in. He begun to laugh, slowly at first, the it escalated into a ridiculous cackle that echoed across the outskirts of Kumo. He turned to face his brother.

"So...in hindsight that was a terrible idea...fun, but terrible."

Soku just laughed at Rai's words as he walked over to his brother and slipped his arm under his armpit, offering his shoulder for balance. "I couldn't agree more." Soku said with a crooked grin spread across his lips. "So if Baako asks, the story is that we ran into some crazed rogue ninja and he kicked you off of that sled. Because she'd never let me use this thing again if she knew... that... crap."

Soku trailed off as he watched a white snow leopard running towards them, roaring as it did. He was trying to tell himself that the large cat running towards them was just a normal, bloodthirsty leopard that had somehow ended up atop the mountainous village that was Kumo. But he knew that was a hopeless thought. Baako had probably saw everything that happened just now; Soku's expression turned grim as he realized he was in big, big trouble.

With a sigh the special jounin began walking towards Baako, his younger brother still leaning on him for support. "Come on, it's time for round two..." Soku muttered with the same grim expression.

Baako came up panting, she never was forced to run so fast. She laid down on the ground, taking in deep breaths. She was relieved to see Rai alive, but she started to glare at Soku. He acts like I wasn't even here to see this. After catching her breath, Baako turned into her human form. Standing up and dusting herself off. Baako picked up a rock and heaved it at Soku's head. "Round 2 my butt. We need rest, you just can't run us like that."

Baako than looked over at Rai and sighed. She pulled out her special cream and walked towards them. "Soku take off Rai's shirt so I can massage him." Baako gave the brothers a serious look, she knew if she didn't than he will cramp up and be in even more pain.
