Baako rest her hand on Soku's shoulder. "Soku, I am sure Tenshu is right. It will blow over. Don't get yourself worked up. Besides I wouldn't leave anyway." Baako than smiled at Soku. "I love you, but that doesn't mean that I will listen to you all the time." Baako than giggled and winked at Soku, than looked at Rai. "I am just happy you are home." Standing up and placing her drink on the stool, Baako turned to Soku. "Can i barrow some clothes and take a quick shower, I stink and I can't stand it anymore."

Despite himself, Soku couldn't help but smirk at Baako's words. "I wasn't aware that you listen to me any of the time." he replied with a tone just as smug as his expression. Then he nodded in agreement as Baako said that she was happy Rai was home, although Soku would never actually admit it.
"Yeah, that's fine. I'm not sure if I have anything in my closet that would fit you but I'll check." the special jounin answered as he got to his feet as well. He made his way over to the other side of the forge and stepped through the door leading towards the house.
A few moments later Soku returned to the forge with an armful of relatively fresh clothing. He handed them to Baako and said, "I hope those will work, they're too small for me now so they should fit you alright."

Baako smiled as she took the clothing. "Thank you Soku" She than smiled at Rai and bowed her head slightly to him. Baako was happy to see Rai she couldn't deny it, and his change is odd as well. But the smell of puke made Baako want to run to the shower, but before leaving she kissed Soku and winked at him. "No peeking now" She teased as she rushed off to the house part to take her shower.

Soku watched Baako disappear into the house and then turned to his brother, his cheeks a little flushed. The special jounin had expected his little brother to begin grilling him with questions about his new relationship with Baako, but he was relieved when he simply asked about their old team. "Talk about dodging bullets." Soku thought to himself as he sat back down on his stool and took a sip of beer.
"I'm not sure if you noticed at the time, but Baako and Akimi aren't exactly bff's." Soku said with a half serious, half sarcastic tone and a bemused expression to match. "I think it would be best to keep them as far away from each other as possible."
Then the special jounin got to his feet and threw away his empty beer bottle before tidying up his own work space as Tenshu had done only moments before. Then it occurred to him that Tenshu had vanished from the forge, leaving Rai and himself alone. Soku placed his hands on the work bench in front of himself and said, "Rai, just between us, why did you leave?" It was a question that had been itching at the back of Soku's mind for some time now, but he hadn't wanted to ask his little brother in front of Baako. It seemed like the answer would be personal and only appropriate to speak of between brothers. "I mean, you seem like an entirely different person now. What could have possibly driven you to change yourself like this."

Rai watched Baako leave and listened to his brothers question. Why did he leave? He mused this over in his head for several minutes while sipping his tea. His brother's second question, What drove you to change? Was even more important.
Well, Soku, I left because I felt like if I didn't i wouldn't be able to change. And what drove me to the need to change and ultimately the need to leave Kumo, was our vow. The man I was, only caring about my next drink or where my next lay was going to come from was not the man I needed to be to keep that vow. Our mother is out there somewhere. And It's up to us to do everything we can to find her. Dead or alive she is our mother. And the old Rai is not who I wanted our mother to see when she sees her sons for the first time in almost 16 years. I didn't want her to see some tail chasing...in some cases literally...drunkard who stumbled upon her because he owes the mob money. I want her to see the might shinobi who flew in to her rescue with his big brother. And that, Soku, Is why i left and why I changed.
Rai let his answer sink in for a moment. Surprised at his own words, he grinned a little, he truly had grown up over the past three months.

Soku flashed a crooked grin at his brother as he spoke. It wasn't a smile the special jounin would crack if he found something funny, it was more of an understanding expression. So his younger brother hadn't changed for selfish reasons, he had changed for their mother.
The brown haired shinobi clapped his brother on the shoulder and said, "And we will find her, Rai. We'll make those men who took our lives away from us pay." Then Soku sighed and added, "And if they've done anything to her..."
Soku didn't need to finish his sentence. The expression on his face and the edge in his tone painted a very vivid image of what he had in mind for those gang members.

Baako finally found the bathroom. It took her some time since she didn't know Soku's home. She ran into several bedrooms, one was fairly clean and looked some what normal. But the other two were questionable. One bedroom Baako saw and knew right off that it belonged to Rai, It was semi clean but had posters of women all over the walls, and some questionable stains on the carpet. The other room she assumed was Soku's since it had scraps of metal and nothing was neat. She also noticed the smell, the smell of Soku was all over this room. She stood in it for some time smiling and shaking her head. After that she set on to find the bathroom. When she did she has never seen something so horrifying. The bathroom was a total disaster. There was rust around the fauset and toilet. Beard stubbles in the sink, toothpast opened and everywhere on the sink. When Baako made her way to the shower the smell from the toilet made her want to vomit some more. Not even going to look to see if anything was floating, Baako closed the lid with her foot and flushed the toilet. sighing, she placed Sokus clothing on the lid, than proceeded to take off her clothing, Placing her clothing in a hamper. Baako opened up the shower.
Her eyes wide open from the site of the shower. It was the cleanest place in the whole bathroom, the shampoos and soaps where all lined up. The only thing gross in the shower was the dark ring on the bottom. Sighing Baako walked in the shower. It took her a good 2 minutes to get the water just right. She sighed standing in the water coming down her body. Closing her eyes and letting the shower wash her face, and run down her chest. After a good while Baako looked up to wash her neck and saw the biggest spider that she has ever did see. Not even thinking, Baako let out a horrific scream, She tried to run out of the shower but slipped and crashed down to the bottom of it, slamming her lower back into the bottles of shampoo. Still Screaming She curled up in a ball, the Spider started to make its way across the wall towards Baako.
"SOKU!!! HELP!!!! AAAHHHHHHHH!!!"

"'The hell?!" Soku exclaimed as he heard Baako screaming somewhere in the house. Before he could even think about what was possibly wrong with the kunoichi Soku found himself bolting through the door leading to the inside of the Douteki home and making a beeline for the bathroom.
The special jounin's steel toed boot slammed into the bathroom door, which caused the hinges holding it to the wall to shatter and ultimately caused the door itself to fall crashing to the ground. "What's wrong Baaaa---aaaAAAAAHHH!" Soku hollered as he ran into the bathroom, stepped on a random bar of soap that was rather poorly placed on the tiled floor, and slid across the entire room flailing his arms and leg in the air as he did.
With an even louder crash than a door slamming to the ground, Soku bashed his legs against the edge of the shower and flew headlong into the curtain hanging in front of him. The momentum he gained from his sliding entrance managed to tear the shower curtain from the bar that held it in place, causing the still flailing special jounin to flop into the running shower with the curtain wrapped around his body.
A moment later two razor sharp kunai blades ripped through the curtain as Soku attempted to free himself from his rather embarrassing predicament. "I'm here! NO NEED TO PANIC!!" Soku shouted at the top of his lungs as he proceeded to run around the bathroom, tearing the shower curtain covering his body and other bathroom-related objects to shreds.

Rai was hot on Soku's heels as he sprinted through the house. Rai had drawn his staff ears alert to any sounds of battle. When Soku ran in and began his theatrical fall and systematic destruction of the bathroom, Rai began to shake with mirth. Then as his laughter finally worked its way up from his bowels it spilled out and filled the air. He had to lean on his staff at the sight of his brother slashing kunai around like a maniac. Then very calmly he pulled a senbon from his pouch. Making sure to avoid looking at the very distressed and naked Baako, tossed the senbon with precise aim. It thudded in the ceiling through the spider's thorax. To his dismay it made a small screeching noise. He sighed and tried to contain his laughter as he grabbed his brother and ripped him from the bathroom by the front of his shirt.
Soku? It's gonna be ok...just a spider, He sat his brother down in the hall way and then turned to yell down the hall way
Tenshu! We're gonna need some new hinges for the bathroom..and some new curtain hangings...

Baakos eyes widen as she saw Soku come crashing in. She tried so hard not laugh, but her ears than twitched as she heard Rai's laughter. Blushing and feeling embarrassed that she is naked Baako jumped up grabbing Soku's clothing and covering herself. She than threw the shampoo bottle at Rai. "RAI! YOU PERVERT! OUT!" Baako than noticed that the spider was dead but she refused to stay in the bath room. She ran out of the bathroom, than paused standing on one foot she she looked down the hallway. There stood Soku, Rai, and Tenshu! Her face turned red and she screamed even more than ran to Soku's room slamming the door behind her.

Soku grunted as he felt himself being dragged out of the bathroom by an unknown force, which only increased the speed of his desperate flails. But as he heard Rai's voice the special jounin calmed down and ripped the shower curtain off of his body and hurled it across the hallway in frustration.
"All of that fuss over a stupid spider?!" Soku shouted as he sheathed the kunai in the holster strapped to his thigh. "Sometimes that woman makes no sense at all.... GAH!"
Soku watched in horror as Baako ran out of the now door-less bathroom only slightly covered by his old clothing. In an honest attempt to lessen the kunoichi's embarrassment the special jounin's hands shot up to his eyes in order to cover them. Though it was a rather futile effort, considering a large gap somehow formed between his fingers.
"What in the hell is going on... why hello there." Soku heard Tenshu say from the other end of the hallway, obviously not disappointed by what he was seeing and definitely not making any attempt to hide it.
As Baako ran screaming into his room Soku turned around to face his brother and his foster father, his own face slightly flushed by the whole ordeal.
"Could we all pretend that didn't just happen?" Soku asked seriously.
"Yeah right, we're definitely inviting her over more often." Tenshu muttered as he walked out of the house and into the forge, probably searching for a new set of hinges.

Rai mutter to himself something along the lines of "horny old bastard" but it was so low he couldn't hardly hear it. He smiled at Soku's embarrassment. And went about retrieving his senbon. he grabbed it. Flushed the spider down the toilet and walked out.
Hey Tenshu....we should hire a maid or something, cuz i am not cleaning this His laughter rang out across the hallway. Then he walked back to his room. I need a balcony. He thought to himself. Then he set about designing some sort of contraption to turn his room into a much breezier area.

Baako came out of the room dressed in Sokus clothing. It was loose on her but her belt made the pants stay and she had to roll up the pant leg. She came out all blushing and embarrassed. Soku's entire family has seen her and she doesn't even know what to do. She just gave a sheepish smile to Soku "I think I need a drink" She muttered as she grabbed the hamper from the bathroom. She walked down to where the kitchen was and placed the basket on the floor. she stood there starring out the window, trying to block the incident out of her mind. But than she remembered something that Soku said.
"All of that fuss over a stupid spider?!""Sometimes that woman makes no sense at all.... GAH!"
She than started to cry, pulling the chair from the table and slouching in it. She slammed her hands on the table top. Her back was bruised and now she is emotional. She stood up and rushed to the fridge grabbed a bottle of beer, took her nail popped the top and took along swig. She gasped for air, her pupils were cat like.

Soku waited outside of his bedroom door while Tenshu and Rai disappeared into different sections of the house. He didn't really have anything else to do, and he was sure Baako was going to be feeling pretty emotional about the whole bathroom incident. Right when the blonde haired kunoichi walked out of his room and smiled at him he could tell by the look in her eyes that this wasn't over by a long shot.
"Yeah, sure... wait a minute." Soku said, realizing a moment too late what would happen to Baako if she drank even the slightest amount of alcohol. But instead of rushing into the kitchen to stop her, Soku simply leaned against the door frame leading into the kitchen and silently watched Baako.
A confused expression flashed across the special jounin's face at the sight of the blonde haired kunoichi's sudden outburst of tears. He figured that the emotional weight of the entire day's events was finally beginning to take its toll on her. He didn't really blame her for that, though. He was beginning to feel a little emotional himself, which was definitely saying something.
But when Baako rushed towards the fridge, grabbed a beer, then took a long swig from the brown bottle Soku couldn't stop himself from intervening. He wasn't going to let this turn into the tea shop fiasco all over again. He appeared by Baako's side after she asked Tenshu for permission to do a load of laundry, which made Soku smirk despite the situation.
"Hey, maybe it's about time to call it a night." Soku said in a gentle tone. "And don't worry about the whole bathroom thing. Rai isn't like that anymore, and Tenshu... Well, I can't really say much for him..."
From the forge came a feint but noticeable voice. "Tell her she can do her laundry if she wants to, but I'm not sure that piece of junk is entirely arachnid free either. So she should wash at her own risk!"
Soku turned towards the forge and sighed deeply. "Sometimes I really hate that guy."
"You know I'm funny."
With that Soku turned to Baako and shrugged helplessly. He had no clue how Baako would react now, at this point he could just hope for the best and the least amount of property damage.

Baako started laughing, she had never heard anything more funny. But than again she could be already getting a buzz, such a light weight. She than grabbed the hamper and tossed it to Soku. "Can you start it. I don't want it to explode when I am near it" She than laughed again before finishing off the bottle of beer. She than whispered "I can't go home now. Don't you remember what happened earlier"
She walked back over to the fridge and grabbed two more bottles. She walked out to the work area where Tenshu was and handed him the beer. She smiled and popped the top of his beer with her thumb nail before giving it to him. "So what project are you working on?" She than hopped up on his work bench and sat down. Looking at all the scrap metal. She than placed her goggles on just in case he decides to start working. Popping the top of her beer bottle she took a small sip. She didn't want to let her drinking get out of control.
"Hey Tenshu, today was kinda rough. Wonderful at times but rough" she looked down at her bottle than sighed. She took another sip before looking at the older man for advice. "My father saw me and Soku today. And it wasn't what I wanted him to see. I was glad that he saw in away. But now I am worried. I wonder if he walked into my room yet?" The sound of Baako's laughter surprised Soku, though it was a pleasant surprise. He had expected her to grow even more angry at Tenshu's words but it seemed like the old man had somehow managed to lighten her mood. Seeing Baako laughing and smiling again seemed to do wonders for Soku's mood as well, so when the kunoichi tossed him her dirty clothes he simply smiled and said, "Sure thing. I'll be back in a bit." With that the special jounin walked out of the kitchen towards the laundry room on the other side of the house.
Back in the forge Tenshu gratefully took the beer from Baako, he immediately popped the cap off and took a long swig. "Oh, just tidying up here and there. Nothing special." he replied in a nonchalant tone as Baako took a seat by his workbench and enjoyed the beer in her own hands.
When the kunoichi began explaining her feelings about what had happened earlier that day Tenshu's face become very contemplative. Believe it or not, the old man had once been in a relationship very much like Baako and Soku's. But that was a long time ago, another lifetime that seemed so distant now. So, with a sigh, Tenshu said, "Baako, I'm not your father so I probably shouldn't be saying this, but the best thing you can do right now is to be honest."
He looked at the kunoichi and gestured towards the house before continuing, "I've seen the way that boy looks at you, and I'm pretty sure he has the best intentions in mind. So if you just go to your dad and explain how you feel I bet you'd be surprised by the way he reacts."
Then he grinned and added, "Trust me. As a parent I can honestly say that we just want to see our kids happy, even if it means letting them do something reckless and stupid."

In mid swig of her beer, Baakos right ear twitched. Reckless and stupid? she repeated in her mind. Than looked at Tenshu through her goggles seriously. "Tenshu, do you think me being with Soku is reckless and stupid?" She waited there patiently as she looked at him. Its probably not what he meant to say and she is probably taking it out of content. But those were his words. And she just wanted to clarify his meaning.

Tenshu had to stop and think about Baako's question for a moment, but it didn't take long for him to reply. The old shinobi turned back towards his work bench and began organizing the small metal objects into separate trays as he explained, "Reckless, yes. Stupid, definitely not. In fact, I couldn't approve of you two more."
Then the bannin turned to the kunoichi and raised a finger as he said, "But they say love tends to be reckless no matter who's involved, so that isn't really your fault." With one final swig the blacksmith finished his beer and tossed it over his shoulder casually. The glass bottle flipped and spun through the air for a few moments before falling into a wastebasket on the other side of the cluttered forge. Clearly, the old man had done that a few times before.
"But to tell you the truth, Baako, I was worried about Soku for quite some time." the graying shinobi said with a sigh. He ran his meaty, rough hands across his head as his face became troubled. "Ever since I took him in to raise as my own, I don't remember the last time he's warmed up to someone like he has to you. I'm not a psychologist by any means, but I think he became so introverted because of what happened to his parents."
Then he chuckled slightly and continued. "I mean, look at Rai. There was hardly anyone he met that he didn't warm up to. I guess it was just Soku's way of dealing with the pain of it all. If he never got close to anyone again, he wouldn't get hurt like he did before."
Tenshu looked at Baako through truly relieved eyes and patted her on the knee. "Whatever you did, I'm glad you did it."

Baako smiled widely, she didn't know what she did to make him like her. Must of been her insane way of showing how she felt about him. She finished off her bottle and looked at the waste basket Tenshu made his bottle go in. She pondered for a moment but than decided she wasn't a bottle tossing chap and handed the empty bottle to Tenshu. She was happy that someone could understand her. "What am I going to tell my father. He dad you probably saw my room, and i can explain the panties hanging from the ceiling fan. Soku was showing me some new jutsu." She than started to laugh as she pictured her fathers face. "Oh god I couldn't do that haha" she than picked up a piece of metal and started to place with it. The edges looked rough and ridged so she played with caution.

A hearty laugh escaped Tenshu's lips at Baako's words. "No, I don't think that'll work." the bannin said as he chucked Baako's empty beer bottle across the forge and into the same wastebasket as before. "I don't know what you should tell him. That's something that you're going to have to figure ou--."
"Something that we'll have figure out." Soku corrected. The special jounin was leaning against the kitchen's door frame and was staring at Tenshu with expressionless eyes and his arms folded across his chest. "There's no way I'm going to let you explain this alone, you know." he directed at Baako, although he still held Tenshu's gaze.
"How long have you been standing there?" Tenshu asked with a smirk.
Soku took a moment to enjoy the irony of the situation. A few days ago he had been the one to ask Tenshu the very same thing. "I just got here." Soku said, easily hiding the lie. In truth, he had heard nearly everything. "By the way, your clothes are in the wash. It shouldn't be long before they're done."
Tenshu's only reply was a mighty yawn, which echoed throughout the forge like thunder. "It is waaay past my bedtime." he said in a ragged tone. Soku's face flashed with confusion, he looked outside and realized that it was almost past sunset. Had they really been here that long?
The bannin clapped Soku on the shoulder as he walked by. "If you don't feel like going home, you can crash here tonight." he said, looking over his shoulder at Baako. "Just don't make too much noise you two, if you wake me up you'll regret it."
Soku glared at the old man as he disappeared into the house, a single brow arched across his forehead. "And what's that supposed to mean, you old geezer." the special jounin asked with a dangerous edge to his tone.
"Oh, nothing. Nothing at all. Don't mind me, I'm just an old man. Most of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. Who are you again?"
"Very funny." Soku replied, grinning despite himself.
With that, the bannin disappeared from sight and retired to his bedroom for the night.
A lingering silence filled the Douteki home, now that everyone had returned to the confines of their rooms. Well, almost everyone. Soku held Baako's gaze, his expression almost regretful. "I still feel bad about what happened today." he finally said. "About what happened at the restaurant, and about your dad seeing us." A long moment passed before his gaze broke, his eyes drifted towards the stool where this had all started.
"It seems like I cause you more harm than good."

Baako stayed quiet as Tenshu and Soku had there conversation. She than started to blush as Soku's adopted father warned them about making too much noise. But she was greatful that he is allowing this. She than smiled at Soku for a moment. But than it soon went to a frown. "Soku don't say that. You are a good person and I am crazy in love with you. That is what matters." Baako than stood up and walked to Soku. She than hugged him tightly. "Love you" she whispered as she held on tightly to his ribs.

Soku simply stood where he was for a moment or two and enjoyed Baako's warmth, the feeling of everything in the world making sense and feeling right. Then the special jounin's arms slowly slid up the kunoichi's back as he held her tightly to himself. He rested his chin in Baako's soft, blonde hair and muttered, "Tenshu was right about me, you know."
A pained expression came to the special jounin's face as he continued, "All those years I was terrified of getting hurt like that again." After saying this, Soku was surprised by the shock of hearing his inner thoughts being said out loud. He was also surprised to hear his own, quiet laughter. "I've been such a fool."

Baako couldn't stop smiling as Soku held her. She felt so safe and secure, she pressed as close to Soku as she could. "I am in love with a fool" she whispered and than slightly giggled she looked up at Soku. She than leaned up on her tippy toes and kissed his lips. Than pulled away. "Lets go to bed" She said smiling up at him.

"And I will always be your fool." Soku said, his mouth twisted into his usual lopsided smirk. Somehow Baako always managed to put a smile on his face, even if he wanted to be angry or frustrated or even depressed. There was just no use fighting the happiness he felt when they were together, and he knew it.
The special jounin tilted his head down and kissed Baako for a moment, and then flashed a confused stare at the kunoichi as she pulled away. His confused expression was soon replaced by an understanding grin after Baako suggested turning in for the night. In a flash, Soku kneeled down and scooped the kunoichi into his arms with relative ease. "Your wish is my command, my love." he replied dramatically, as if she had asked him to begin some epic quest.
Soku took two, long strides into the house and then looked down into Baako's sapphire eyes as he carried her. "You know, you never answered my question this morning." Soku stated in a curious tone. "How did you like... you know." he finished with a sheepish grin and a nervous laugh.

Baako began to start to blush. Her cheeks burning with shyness. Her right ear twitched as she began to recall the previous night. She than got the sudden urge of wanting sex again. Though Soku's ego was boosted to unheard of levels by Baako's confession, the next sentence that escaped her lips nearly caused him to trip and fall over. "That "You'd better not wake me up or you'll regret it" speech Tenshu gave wasn't a joke, you know." Soku whispered as he climbed the steps leading to the house's second story. Though he nearly bumped into the wall a few times, Soku made it to his bedroom door in a matter of seconds.
The problem of opening his door while holding Baako in his arms was solved with a quick flick of the wrist, Soku felt a small swell of pride at the thought of his resourcefulness with magnetism techniques. But that pride was quickly replaced and forgotten when he looked down at Baako and felt so much longing that he was certain his heart was going to burst out of his chest.
There wasn't a single thing he didn't find appealing about the kunoichi in his arms. Even the scars that ran along her stomach and lower back seemed perfect somehow. He knew that she thought of her scars as flaws, but he wouldn't change a thing about her.
He walked over to the bed and set her down before climbing in after her, not even having the presence of mind to pull the covers out from under him as he did. Soku ran his fingers through the kunoichi's blonde hair and stared into her eyes, they were so beautiful and comforting the special jounin couldn't think of anything else. He leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers, which sent chills lancing though his body as usual.
Then the special jounin opened his charcoal grey eyes and pulled away from the kunoichi, only to place his forehead on Baako's a moment later. A roguish grin spread across his face as he said, "I don't think I'll ever get tired of that." Then he chuckled a little, too happy to stop himself. "I can't thank you enough for everything you've given me." Then a mischievous glint appeared in his eyes as he added, "But I can try my best."

Baako started to blush as Soku kissed her. Than her right ear twitched as she heard Soku saying he would do his best for her. She placed her right hand on his cheek (Face not ass). and lightly rubbed her thumb against his scruff. "You are the best" She spoke softly she than kissed him once more. She loved the feel of his lips against hers. Just the tenderness of something made her smile and want more.
She pulled away from the kiss and smiled sheepishly at Soku. Taking her index finger nail, she poked a hole in Soku's shirt and with a quick move split his shirt in half. She bit her lower lip as she did so. When she say Soku's chest she couldn't help her self. She started to kiss down his neck, slowly, and lightly making her way to his nipple. She than nibbled it a bit and pulled away a bit. Smiling still, she removed her shirt as well and revealed her half naked body to him than rolled off the bed and stood in front of him. Slowing removing the rest of her clothing. She stood there naked and blushed. She than walked over to the light and turned it off and ran and tackled Soku in bed. "meow"
