The cat meowed loudly, and the woman was panicking, Don't worry baby! the nice ninja will be here soon!". The tree was the largest in the village, and could be seen from any place in the village. There was no breeze that day, thank god, and it was just warm enough that you didn't need a jacket. Perfect day.

[Meraxa]

Meraxa landed right next to the woman, and looked up to see the cat. He sighed, if it weren't for all those branches the cat must've climbed being so thin, he could just climb them himself.
"Don't worry madam, cats is this village's specialty." He said as he focused his chakra into his feet - whilst referencing the absurdly high amount of requests to find/save cats that the village had received from this particularly family. But considering their reputation for pampering, was it so surprising the cats tried to run?

When he'd accumulated the chakra, he charged at the tree, and began to run up its side. It was one cat, how much trouble could it cause?

Of course, as Meraxa began to climb the tree, the cat became even more frightened. So, being as he wasn't quite to the top of the tree yet, began leaping through the branches working his way up as well.

[Meraxa]

Hmm... looked like the cat was beginning to climb in response to his oncoming presence. He'd have to remedy that somehow. Luckily, he was in a tree, and trees had lots of leaves.
And thus he began to use shunshin no jutsu, flickering in and out of sight the once, bouncing on and off a branch or two to provide the leaves necessary for the trick to work. Hopefully the cat would not keep up, and think him just gone - and stop. However, he knew life just wasn't that easy, since the exact effect would be short lived.

The cat looked panicked as he flickered up, and began prancing towards the edge of the branch as if he was going to jump. Looks like this wasn't going to work.

Meraxa stopped dead in his tracks. The cat had reacted badly, looking like it was gonna jump if he did anything rash like that again.
"Gotta think here..." He said considering his options - he was still a good bit behind the cat in terms of height, so if it did jump, he should be able to catch. The problem was that it was only a should, and not a would, meaning there was a possibility he would miss.
Well maybe he could convince it to come to him? He started wriggling fingers at the cat, whilst making cute little sounds, maybe catch its attention.

[Ace Trainer]

It was a cute attempt...not that it succeeded. It was just cute. The cat looked at his fingers and hissed, looking as if he was about to tear them off. Not that it would dare get that close to actually do it. It flexed its toe, causing its claws to come out.

Oooh. Fiesty.

[Meraxa]

"Eh? So thats how you want to play it?" Meraxa said slightly disappointed, and he thought he was good with pets as well. Its claws would be a problem, unless he played the intimidation tactic. This time going towards the edge - the branch wobbling slightly - so that if the cat wanted to back off, it would probably walk inwards. Then he pulled out his shuriken, and placed them in between his fingers, to make it look like he had bigger claws that the cat.
"Hiss..."

The plan certainly worked, and the cat became incredibly submissive, walking inwards into the thickette of branches, and hiding its body. Good job, you had scared all fight out of him.
