[Mission] Running Running Run

The mission should have been delivered to the young genin by now. Ah yes, the small scroll with that D'ranked mission should have been delivered already. So then, why wasn't he here now? The restaurant owner grumbled as he waited impatiently out side of his own shop. How fool his workers were to not prepare the ingredients, let alone purchase them!

The owner was a huge man. He stood at the least of 6ft 7in with a giant round belly that hung above his apron. He was rather bald and well shaved. He wore the uniform of his own restaurant, blue and white, which did nothing to stop him from looking so intimidating. The giant man waited on patiently and tapped his giant foot, clad in wooden sandals, on the ground. One could swear that an earthquake was occurring as the result.

Now then, where was that poor genin who had to face this intimating man well accustomed to kitchen knives?

There wasn't any time to stall, this was a mission of the utmost importance and urgency. The moment that Kowai learned of this tragedy he was off, after getting himself some natto and rice, but AFTER that he was defiantly in a rush.

Many thoughts ran through his mind, mostly anger and despair. If there was one thing in this world that Kowai respected it was chefs, but when chefs failed so horribly, Kowai simply saw red. Clenching his fist and nearly breaking his chopsticks Kowai made a face of agony and anger, 'Those monsters! How could they!?!' He screamed in his mind over the sound of chewing. Kowai didn't even need to look where he was going, he knew where every restaurant in the village was by heart.

With one last violent turn, Kowai found himself right outside of the large man's restaurant, being face to face with it's owner. Kowai looked up with a burning look of passion in his eyes, "What must I do to correct this injustice!? Hurry! I must make haste!"

The man raised his eye brow as he stared down at the genin. The genin looked rather small compared to the chef. After a moment of silence, the chef spoke. His voice was gruff and rather growl-like. "I supposed you can call it injustice," his voice was very loud, "so take this list and get all the stuff on it, alright?" He was the kind of man that demanded for respect. The piece of paper looked like a piece of candy wrapper as the man handed it to the genin. He also handed the genin a small money pouch. "Use the money to buy the stuff, but if you were to steal any..." The man gave off an I-will-kill-you kind of aura. "Now, go along." The man shooed the genin away as he headed back into the restaurant.

"You suppose!?" He questioned under his breath. In his mind a great sin and been committed. With a smirk he took the list in his hands, and stared at it as if he was holding a holy paper. He smiled as he prepared himself, this would be a great civil service. He didn't have any such thoughts about the money, he realized and over hyped it's importance in his mind. Though with the large man glaring daggers at him, Kowai thought it was best to split, "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeargh!" He shouted as he ran off.

After gaining a bit of distance he opened up the list and examined it's contents. A trip to the market would be the best bet here, they were bound to have the needed ingredients and more, on an average day. With a hop, skip, and a roll, Kowai bagan his way in the direction of one of the village's grocers, hoping get there problem free.

The man stared at the young boy. "Young things nowadays..." The man sighed as he headed inside of his restaurant to scream at some of his workers. The place thundered with something similar to a very angry bear speaking in human terms. Two and a half hours before opening.

The market was rather busy that day. Everything seemed to be in chaos and everything seemed to be lacking in one way or another. As the genin entered the area, he might see quiet a many middle aged women with fiery eyes. These women seemed dangerous to cross. It was at that moment in which the nearby bakery's owner shouted out.
"50 Loaves of bread 50% off!"
The women paused for a split moment and rushed to the bakery. Anyone within the way had a possibility of being trampled over and perhaps even death. Perhaps...

The market was rather full on this day. Just walking around gave Kowai a bit of trouble. Looking at the list he thought he'd knock off of a few things from the bakery, such as bread and maybe even a bag of flour from the back.

The sound of, "50 Loaves of bread 50% off!" Filled the air, and there was a stampede.

It was no surprise that Kowai was stuck in the middle within seconds. He was pushed and pushed around as the scrambling herd raged towards the bakery,"Whoa! Get out of my way granny!" He cried as felt the life being crushed out of him in the group. He groaned as he pushed into the door frame of the bakery, his ribs being pushed against the narrow section of wall. He began to have trouble breathing, "Ow!" He muttered as as everyone stuck in the frame struggled to get out.

He had to think of something and think of it fast. He fought for free his hand from the mess, after he did he did a set of quick hand seals, "Multi-Size Technique!" He shouted as he began to blow up like a balloon, pushing the crazed housewives out of the door frame. The door frame wasn't built to take on such a massive creature, and with the built up pressure of people pushing behind him, Kowai soon blasted into the bakery. He canceled the jutsu and rushed to gather the needed bread, trying to avoid any of the crazed women who came inside.

Success! The young genin had defeated the seemingly impossible wall of middle aged ladies! They were a bit squished, but it was okay, they would have to do. However the genin may want to hurry still. Time was just ticking away. Beside the bakery was a sweets shop, which included baked chestnuts. There really wasn't a store that sold chestnuts, so the place would be best to check.

"40 bags of raw chestnuts left! 60% off!"

Sales, sales. Did you think 50% was bad? Try 60%. The fire burned even angrier within the eyes of elder women. Ho! Here they come!

A second sale had started and Kowai didn't have any time to waste. He knew he wasn't going to make it, but he knew the entire layout of the local candy shop. Getting close enough, he didn't even bother to get through right away. He made a set of hand seals and muttered, "False Place Justsu!" He said incomprehensibly under his breath. The entire candy selection looked to be chestnuts, though if someone was to go up close they would realize the charade and his plan would be botched. Though this momentary distraction was all he needed. With that done he tried to take on the rush carefully, by ramming while being rammed through them to get himself into the candy shop.

Two bags of chestnuts would have been obtained, however it was a fail due to the mix of elder kunoichis among the crowd. The 40 discounted chestnuts were all gone by the times the poor genin made his way through. There were some chestnuts that was of whole though. However those were in need of being peeled from its spiky outer skin and to do that for at least 40 chestnuts... Well, he had no choices, did he?

Well, seeing that he was there anyways, he should grab some sugar. How much time was left now?

There was no choice indeed, Kowai had dived into the work of pulling off the outer casings of the chestnuts, as proven by the spikes sticking out of his fingers. He was doing this as fast as he was able to, with the constant stress of time, "Ow~ Dwaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" He wined, he didn't know how much time he had left, so he got up and rushed out, with both the peeled and unpeeled chestnuts along with a bag of sugar, sure to pay the shop keep on his way out.

The genin would be rather relieved to know that the grocery store had plenty of coconut milk, leeks, and chicken. Those weren't on sale, so it was relatively easy to get one's hands on them. However for the bag of potato starch and red bean paste was missing from the shelves. When inquiring one of the workers, the genin would get a rather disheartening response.
"Sorry, the Dango shop bought them all."

An hour left.
