Just a Stroll

Listening to the sounds of the rushing water of a flowing stream was always comforting to the young boy; An indulgence of one's senses. Watching the stream as its power was unmatched while it retained its natural beauty for the world to see. Crystal clear and pure in essence meant that the liquid was unmarred and allowed everyone to see the water for what it was, mesmerizing all those who walked on by even for a single moment. Kaito was no exception to the rule, but to him, the stream wasn't just something to admire, it was something to strive for. Although there will always be things to impede the flow of the river, it still flows. Whatever disrupts it will either leave the stream, or be whittled away by the force of the water and its driving power until it no longer existed.

His almond eyes gazed lightly on the watery surface, resting his weary head atop his hand, which rested itself on his elbow, which rested itself on the bridge that kept him dry. Deep, sturdy breaths followed the rhythm of the water running downstream. The majority of his weight was placed on his right foot, shifting sides every so often to relieve the other of its duty. While one foot took the weight, the other placed itself with its toes facing the ground and alleviating any pressure it once had. The water-admiring genin was well rested and found the calm and soothing spot after a little stroll he took to escape the horrid household he had to call home. This place was more a home to him than what he currently did, feeling a deeper connection to the water itself than with his own father.

Sometimes he thought about jumping in. Not to end his life, but just to allow the water to carry him to a new place. It didn't have to be nice, but just new. Preferably with other people and full of water, but he wouldn't be too picky in the end. It wasn't like anyone else could just stumble upon it since the bridge he was at was a common place for people to cross in order to get to the training grounds. He was surprised he made it the time he did without any interruptions. Nevertheless, he enjoyed the peace and would cherish the moments of silence he had.

[Eisbrecher]

There was a refreshing breeze in the air as Yoshi approached the bridge, he was whistling a tune to himself as he strode along, his plan was to train and work on his speed but he got distracted from his plan upon spotting his student standing on the bridge staring at the stream.

He thought it best to not disturb Kaito's moment of peace, Yoshi knew how moments of peace and tranquility were precious and decided to let Kaito enjoy his moment of silence, he did however stand next to Kaito and look at the stream. Yoshi quickly realised why his student was so fixated by the stream, the sound of the flowing water was soothing and watching the flow of the water made the whole area seem so quiet and relaxed.

As he continued to watch a small stray branch from a tree drifted down the stream, Yoshi watched it with great interest as it headed downstream, occasionally bouncing off a rock on it's journey, he continued to watch the branch drift off into the distance.

[Daisuke]

Daisuke yawned a little bit as he walked down the bridge and looked at a picture and compared it to his sensei and he also saw his team mate there. " Hey your my sensei right. Anyways my name is Daisuke Hyuuga . I am the strongest member on this team and I have the skills to back it up. I am as strong as you are. " He said with a confident tone. He was eager to test his skills against his team . He always had a lot of confidence especially in battle. He wasn't scared to say he was the best and also wasn't scared to prove it. He decided to have a little fun with his team mate and he quickly preformed a simple set of handseals and pointed his hand like a gun and shot a quick bolt of lightning near his team mates body to startle him. He enjoyed playing pranks on people from time to time.

*Raiton• Yama No Jutsu [Lightning Element • Rifle technique]
C-rank Ninjutsu
After completing a simple set of hand seals the user will either focus chakra into their bladed weapon or index finger. He or she then points their hand (or the tip of their weapon) at the target and fires off a high velocity bolt of lightning. The lightning bolt itself will only cause minor damage, but due to the speed of the attack the impact is more than enough to knock the air out of someone or send them flying backwards.

It was some time before Kaito had even realized that his sensei decided to make a little cameo in his alone time. It was futile to try and complain about it, since most likely the chipper Jounin would've just played it off and offered him some food or something. His eyes rolled quickly before realizing that Yoshi had simply been standing there and admiring the same thing that he was, the water. Surprise ran across his face for a split second before he began to relax once again and restart the process of reaching that mental point of simply allowing his mind to flow with the water. He surrendered to the fact that the time he was spending wasn't a complete waste, even with an uninvited guest making an appearance.

Well, that was until he was abrasively attacked by some idiotic genin who would replace the other kunoichi. The only thing to flow through his mind right now was the anger brought up by the sheer aggravation and arrogance that the moronic boy had. To come in and completely disrupt the wonderful trance of tranquility he was in was equivalent to a slap to the face for Kaito. All he could really here was a few words about him ignorantly thinking that he was the strongest person on the team, and then before he could even spit out his own retort, he saw a set of hand seals in front of him. It didn't take a Kage to figure out that he was mere moments from getting attacked by something, and he wasn't going to stick around and figure out what was going to come his was.

As fluidly as he could, which was about as fluid as rotten milk, he rolled over the arm of the bridge and landed atop of the water. Charging his feet with chakra, the Suiton-using genin was able to land without becoming wet, it didn't keep him from spitting fire.

"What in the world do you think you're doing attacking me like that?!" Kaito screamed at the top of his lungs. He made sure to have a good view of the other boy's body, which would allow him to at least see any other attacks that might fly at him. "Do you think that it's funny to just shoot lighting at other people?! That sh-, stuff hurts!" he yelled again, stopping himself from cursing before continuing with his minor rant. By this point his lightly tanned skin was a faint reddish color and his breathing went from serene to highly irregular and very rough. "Yoshi, do something about him!" He finished, pointing vigorously at the cocky Hyuuga.

*Suimen Hokou no Waza [Act of Water Surface Walking]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.

Yoshi had been dragged out of his trance by Kaito's yells however he was perfectly aware of what this new boy had said, he merely sighed at the cocky attitude that had been presented and stepped back turning to face the boy. He couldn't believe how much trouble this kid was being already. "If that's supposed to be a prank Daisuke, it's not a very funny one" he said giving the boy a stern look.

He did not take lightly to the Genin's boasts of being the strongest member of the team either. "I think you're overestimating yourself too Daisuke, you are by far not the strongest member of this team, in skill or attitude." Yoshi decided he'd show the Genin what he meant to try and get the point across and gathered a ball of crackling lightning in his hand in clear view of both Kaito and Daisuke. "Using Jutsu in such a way as stupid little pranks is childish Daisuke, a shinobi that has graduated the academy should be aware of the dangers of jutsu and should NEVER use it on comrades unless it is iijutsu or has some other beneficial use. Misuse your Jutsu like that on your comrades again and you will be severely punished." he said in angry tone giving Daisuke yet another stern look. Yoshi wasn't one to normally get angry but this Genin's actions had wound him up.

*Raiton • Chidori [Lightning Element • Thousand Birds]
A-rank Ninjutsu
By focusing chakra into their hand, the user can form a ball of lightning in their hand. The effectiveness of the jutsu, however, is decided by how fast the user is moving and strong their thrust is when they hit their target. Therefore in order for this jutsu to be really effective, high speed and strength is required. The proper use of this technique can result in an instant kill.

[Daisuke]

Daisuke sighed as both of the people became angry They seemed to be a bit short tempered he then noticed his sensei activate a jutsu and by instinct he activated his byakugan and saw the amount of chakra in that techinqiue and he trembled a bit as he begun to sweat a little bit. He was abit scared of him but he knew he was wrong and decided to just apologize. " Gomenesai I was just a bit over eager to fight and for that I am sorry. My name is Daisuke Hyuuga I wish to o know your names as well. " HE said with a smile on his face hoping that apology would be enough to get him forgiveness. He wondered what sorts of training he would be going through. He also wondered where the akihimichi was since he was part of his team.

[Dai]

Almost immediately, Kaito labeled the Hyuuga as an idiot and filed him away in his head with the rest of the idiots he had met. Such audacity in his mind should be met with immediate consequences, especially with such a large amount of stupid written all over that last action. However, he attempted to expel all of the negative energy he had inside of him so that it wouldn't affect how he felt about the single most wondrous place he had seen in quite a while. His breathing slowly progressed from erratic and labored, to its original serene flowing. It was sometime during then the Raiton-wielding genin began his apologies that he finally was able to inhale without worry of an aneurysm.

"I'm Nakamura Kaito, and I can promise that if you ever attempt to zap me with electricity again, I'll make sure that you spend the rest of your life thinking that you're a girl," he threatened, crossing his arms and slowly making his way to the water's edge. His feet would never cross the watery barrier, making sure that it was truly safe to leave the surface.

[Eisbrecher]

Yoshi dissipated the lightning in his hand as he saw the Hyuuga tremble with fear, he took a deep breath to calm himself down a bit before answering the Genin. "I am Mikihoto Yoshi, your sensei" he answered offering his hand out for the boy to shake.

[Daisuke]

Daisuke simply rolled his eyes at the other team mates threat and just looked at his sensei and smirked as he shuck his hand. He couldn't wait until their training started since he was eager to learn some more jutsu and fight in the chunin exams. " Hey when will we begin training and going on missions I want to get ready for the chunin exams as early as possible. " He said in a confident tone as he deactivated his byakugan,

Kaito's brain almost exploded from the first impression this ignorant little child was giving him. Now the genin wouldn't step anywhere near the insane Hyuuga for fear that Kaito would actually try to kill him. Somehow it didn't click in his own brain how someone of his age could be so clueless and idiotic. Was it some sort of mental deficiency, or was this annoying little pest truly so overzealous that he immediately demanded that they go on a mission at this very moment. The only facial expression the Suiton-user could perform was a gawk in conjunction with a quizzical look that asked, 'Are you really serious right now, or are you messing with me because you think it's funny to act like a moron?'

"Yoshi-san, please tell me that the new recruit is a joke. I want Kira back. At least she didn't try to electrocute anybody with her Raiton," Kaito stated, still keeping his distance from the other boy, carefully watching his hands and feet for any type of suspicious movement. He refused to get caught off-guard by some attack again, it just wasn't going to happen.

[Eisbrecher]

Yoshi shuffled uncomfortably at the Hyuuga's statement. "Entering you for the Chuunin exams at such an early stage would be a big mistake on my part," Yoshi said bluntly looking at the boy. "You're a very long way away from being considered in my books" he said chuckling slightly.

He turned to face Kaito and leaned on a nearby post, shoving his hands in his pockets he sighed and said "This is not a joke Kaito, Daisuke is your new team mate, that's the thing with life, it never goes the way you want it to... unfortunately." He stared at the floor briefly after finishing his sentence to hide any signs of a brief moment of depression.

[Daisuke]

Daisuke was starting to get the feeling he was not wanted which was true as he noticed the sensei hold his head down and the other wish for his other team mate back. This hurt him and he looked away to hide the anger in his face but he couldn't take the bitterness and coldness out of his tone., "Look I didn't ASK to be put on this damn team. I know you guys would rather have your other teammate back and I dont blame you for it however whining about it isnt going to bring her back on the team nor is it going to get me put off so instead of bitchin and moanin about it spend your time constructively. I know you guys dont like me and I dont give a fuck about that, I am not here to be liked I am here to work together with you and learn thats all I have to say. " He said as crossed his arms and walked away going towards the edge of the water. He sat with his back towards his teammate looking at the water with an agitated look.

[Dai]

Word for word Kaito listened to the enraged rantings of his makeshift teammate, befuddled as to why there was such a commotion over everything. He meant every word that he said, otherwise he wouldn't have said it. Could he have dealt with the fact that he was getting a new teammate, sure. Was he going to immediately like the person who decided to come out of nowhere and electrocute him, not really. All he could really do was shake his head in disbelief before carefully edging his way away from the slowly approaching Hyuuga. He wasn't trying to start a brawl, but who knew what was going on in the mind of the psychotic Raiton-user. But still, he couldn't help but feel slightly guilty for his own brash and insulting words.

Lying through the crevices of his teeth, Kaito tried his hand at consoling, saying, "We can just let this go as along as you promise not to fire lightning at anyone who even looks like an ally." His words were chosen carefully, making sure not to imply that he was going to forgive the young genin for his impulsive action, but made sure to make it sound like he was.

[Eisbrecher]

Yoshi looked up at the two genin in turn. "Daisuke, you're probably disliked for your attitude and you did try to electrocute Kaito but you're young and still learning the ins and outs of being a ninja, bit of training and I'm sure you'll be more respected and skilled, nice tip for you to remember, a careless ninja is a dead ninja." He said hoping Daisuke would take it in, he then turned to Kaito and grinned, "is there any particular reason you want Kira back Kaito or are you just unhappy with our new friend here?" he questioned grinning more.

[Daisuke]

Daisuke sighed as he heard the other team mate speak. He guessed he was just saying this because his teacher was there but he decided to go along with his little act." Hai Hai. I promise." He said while still loking at the water. He felt like jumping off and running on it but he decided against it.. He looked at his sensei and nodded. " I -I understand sensei. " He said before looking back at the water and enjoying the beautiful scenery. He then looked at the passing water and sighed a bit.

[Dai]

"Oh there's nothing wrong with Daisuke, other than the fact that he SHOT AT ME," he replied, emphasizing the last three words. As much as he knew that it could've potentially, maybe, perhaps been lighthearted in some way, he was going to hold this grudge for quite some time. This time around he didn't even bother to hide his facial expression or sugarcoat his words with a sickly sweet masking tone. Kaito just had to figure that if this kid couldn't even handle the sharp tongue he possessed, then how was the Hyuuga supposed to react when things like kunai or shuriken actually pierced him. This would definitely be some type of project, toughening up the other boy mentally. There was nothing worse than an incredibly strong shinobi who had the mental reflexes of a fish out of water, and whose confidence shattered easier than glass.

"Nothing against you Daisuke, but first impressions really aren't your strong suit. And besides, Yoshi-sensei is right. If you start out careless and don't do anything to to fix it, then you're as good as dead out there," he began, feeling a full blown lecture beginning to form in his head. He refrained from the long speech, but decided to at least try to make Daisuke feel a little bit better. "You can make the argument that I overreacted just then, but if you think about it, was my reaction too far off from what your's could've been if I had, say... thrown a rabid ferret at your face? I don't think you would've taken too kindly to that," he said somewhat smugly, but retaining some aspects of his wordy and indirect apology. Still, he kept his own arms crossed and watched the boy carefully for any type of response.

[Eisbrecher]

Yoshi chuckled as Kaito responded to his question, he then approached the two Genin just as Kaito crossed his arms. "Well Kaito, I don't think you overreacted, well maybe you did a little bit with the shouting but getting out the way of his jutsu was a good move" he said folding his arms.

[Daisuke]

Daisuke smiled at his team mate as he tried to comfort him and just nodded . " I understand I was in the wrong for attacking you like that. Jutsu arnt toys so Its all water under the bridge. So what do you guys want to do now?" He asked as he got up and yawned a bit feeling a bit bored at the moment. He wondered where his other team mate was. " Hey where is our other team mate and who is he i havnt seen or met him or her before. "
