A Clear Nights Walk

As night approached, and the moon was in full rise, Koji leaped from his bed. He was wide awake and hardly ready to sleep. He dressed in his usual clothing, and strapped his blade to his hip. Koji walked out the door of his house and headed for the Hokage Monument. His parents would be dead asleep at this time of night, this really was the perfect time to get out. He walked slowly, savoring the fresh air and the peace and quiet, two things that aren't easy to come by on the streets of the village.

He reached the monument within minutes of leaving his house and climb to the top at the same pace as before. He looked out at the rest of the village from a top the monument to see nothing but beauty. The moon hit the village in such a way that it seemed the village seemed to glow. As he looked out at the village however, he heard a a noise coming from the area around him causing him to grip the hilt of his sword out of the uncertainty of what it was.

(OOC: So this is just a social NOT a battle. I am looking for one person, two at most. Let the game begin.)

Not being able to fall asleep, Katashi sat up on his bed. He looked around his room before he stood up and got into his normal, ninja gear. Too many thoughts in his mind, so he decided to take a walk. The night was good, clear and the air refreshing. It was just what the young genin needed. He took the streets the emptiness a good sight and rare considering how busy they normally were. He eventually made his way to the Hokage monument, though for no real reason.

"Oh..." He stopped upon taking a corner and spotting another nin up and ready for some type of battle. The fellow seemed to be on edge, with his hand on his sword. Katashi stood in place as he shook his head.

"Sorry, didn't think anyone else was out at this time. I'm just passing by, really." He said in all honesty. He didn't want to fight, just enjoy the tranquility that was around him. Fighting could be done any other time, it was what they did, but a moment like this, would be harder to come by.

Koji looked back over his shoulder to see a young boy, maybe 13-14 years old. The boy didn't seem like much of a threat to him at that moment and actuall seemed to be there for the same reason that Koji was. However it seemed that by Koji grabbing the hilt o his sword he seemed to scare the kid a little.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," he said taking his hand off of his sword, "you just can't be too care this late at night." Koji looked back out at the village below them, still in awe of the beauty that the village gave off in the calm peaceful night. "I'm guessing that you are just out for a midnight stroll like me?" Koji asked the young boy, "My name is Koji Rokami. And you are...?"

Katashi breathed a bit easier now that the imminent threat was gone, though the nin before him did say the truth about being too careful. He nodded his head when he wondered if the boy was also on a midnight stroll. It seemed that Katashi wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep, even if they each have different reasons.

"Hyuuga, Katashi," He introduced himself once the other nin had introduced himself. He figured that he was a bit older than him, a few years. Experience wise though, Katashi didn't think he was a Genin like him. No. The way he carried himself, he was a Chuunin. Katashi found his attention on him for a moment as he thought that one day he too would be at that level. After a brief moment, he turned his gaze back out towards the village.

"I couldn't sleep," He said, his eyes remaining fixed on the village below, "The night was so cool and refreshing, I decided to take a walk. It's a beautiful sight, no?" He asked, refering to the village, basked in the moon's light.

Yoshi walked along to the Hokage monument with his head down, he felt slightly restless, something he hadn't felt for a long time. He carried a photo with him, this was where he came to reflect and bring back good memories from before he became a ninja, it relaxed him when the tension and stress of being a ninja got to him, he continued walking completely oblivious to the two boys already at the monument.

The kid had it right. The night was cool and relaxing, the perfect thing to help a person relax. "Yeah, it is." he said. The Hyuuga boy seemed to be about genin level by age but the Hyuuga were normally very smart and strong in their own way so for all Koji knew, this kid could have been a Chuunin.

Another sound from the area around them once again took Koji's attention away from the village. Koji turned to see that there was another man walking around the monument. He was very hard to see at first as he had been wearing all black clothing. If it wasn't for the fact that the moon was so bright, Koji probably wouldn't have seen him at first. The man seemed completely oblivious to the both of them but was just looking down at something in his hands. "Looks like we aren't the only ones who couldn't sleep." Koji said.

The two watched out in silence after he agreed with Katashi about the village. Katashi didn't mind it. Just taking some time to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds around was good. It was also good to see others whom were also enjoying the glorious night. Then, a sound. It caught the genin attentions as well, as he too looked for it's source. If it hadn't been for the moon's light, he would have probably missed the man wearing black. However, it seemed like the man missed them as he was gazing at something in his hands. Katashi couldn't tell what it was, and didn't mind much, he simply nodded to Koji's statement.

"Yeah, seems that way."

Yoshi looked up at the sound of a voice, he spotted two boys and gave them a brief wave. "Rare to see people here at this time of night, what brings you boys out here on a night like this? It's a bit late for training isn't it?" He asked in his usual calm tone now holding the photograph limply by his side and looking cautiously at the sword held by one of the boys.

"We could say the same thing to you." Koji said with out thinking. It must have been the lack of sleep that made him sort of snap like that. "Don't worry sir, we both had taken a walk in the night, most likely just like you, and ended up finding each other here. We were just looking down at the village and admiring it from here. It is just so peaceful."

Koji could finally get a closer look at the guy. He was definitely older than the two of them putting him in his 20's and because of the clothes he wore he was most likely a ninja which probably made him a Jounin.

It was at that moment that Katashi was finally able to see the mysterious figure. It appeared to be that of a young man, mid 20s the boy had to guess. Judging from the clothes and armaments he wore, Katashi also had to guess he was probably a Jounin, or at least a Special Jounin. His talk was calm as he asked them a question.

"No training," He replied. "Just admiring the view." He stated as he pointed out to the village. Then, something struck the boy as he looked back. It was then he realized where he stood, at the Hokage's Monument. Perhaps in his 'partially asleep' walking, he hadn't realized where he stopped. Now however, he glanced back at the monument and gave a bow in respect to the Hokage's of the past.

Yoshi took a deep breath in and then out before sitting himself down, "Yes, it's very peaceful, that's why I come here to reflect on things when I feel stressed, the air seems fresher here too" he stated resting the photograph on his lap. "So who are you boys anyway?" He asked looking up at the sky and smiling. "I know you're a Hyuuga" he added nodding at Katashi.

"Yeah," Katashi replied, agreeing with the man about the pleasant scenery. Then he addressed the question made by him.

"Hyuuga, Katashi," He introduced himself with a nod and then a smile. "And you sir?"

Koji was interested by this guy. He was obviously a Jounin judging by apparent age and the way he spoke.

"My names Koji Rokami." he said holding out his hand for a handshake. "We should all be proud of our village and always fight to keep it like this."

Yoshi noticed the boy offering his hand out and stood up, "I am Yoshi Mikihoto" he said shaking Koji's hand and nodding at Katashi. Yoshi smiled, Koji had a good attitude, one that reminded him of himself in his younger days. "I couldn't agree more Koji, this village is our home, where our hopes and dreams are made, where we were nurtured and trained." He picked up the photograph once more and held it to his chest, it heartened him to know there were still young Shinobi who valued their home enough to fight for it.

Katashi listened as the two spoke. He too felt the same way. After all, his clan has been in the village from the start. He probably owed more to the village than the both of them, at least that was the way he felt. He nodded as he looked out at the village.

"This is my home, so I defend it... But... I'm not alone. Family, friends, everyone else, this is home to us all. I might not be able to do much, but I would defend it. For me, for everyone... to see more nights like these."

Koji once again, like so many times before, looked up at the moon to see it begin to fade behind the clouds. The night would end soon and there was no telling what would come tomorrow so sleep would be the smart idea. His walk through the town and interacting with these two other ninja seemed to calm him down enough to begin to feel the tiredness wash over him.

"Well i guess i should be going." Koji said, "There is no telling what tomorrow may bring." He began his walk down the back to the village and eventually he would reach his house, only this time when he returned he would be calm rather than hyper like he was when he left.

(OOC: Okay so unless you guys really have any motivation to continue this i am going to turn it in for points, however many it may be. If you really want to continue it then post saying that you want to and i will try to edit my post so that it keeps going but if not then just make one final post and whoever is last can turn it in for points or i may do it if no one replies. I honestly think that we began repeating ourselves so that is why i chose to stop it...)

((I'll drag it out just a little more. I want to try and get a decent amount of points and we won't get that unless we add a little more. So here's a little something to keep us going, if only for a little bit. It shouldn't take long, but it'll hopefully add more emotional/dramatic emphasis, which is the point.))

"It was weird," Katashi spoke out as he looked at the village before he too was ready to turn in. "That the three of us met here tonight." He shrugged. Maybe he was thinking too much.

A Jounin, the past, the foundation of the village. A Chuunin, the present, the current support of the village. A Genin, the future...

"Say uh..." Katashi spoke up as he thought for a moment. He was the future and before him were two individuals who knew more and experienced more than he has. So he decided to take the moment and see what they had to say.

"You guys care to tell me anything?" He asked them for their advice, "You guys are more experienced than me, so any advice would be good for a Genin like me." he wasn't honestly expecting much. It was late and one of them was already halfway gone. Still, he wanted to take advantage of the moment.

Yoshi looked at the young Genin and stood up, "I never know what to say when asked to give advice but I'll give it a shot, for me personally I held onto my dreams and self promises, you have a dream, you'll be motivated to work for it, same for other goals too, that's how I got to Jounin, through a personal goal of mine. Training goes a long way too." he smiled at the Genin in hope that his advice made some sense. "It was nice to meet you, goodnight" he added before taking his first few steps back home and to his awaiting bed.

(OOC: Okay then my final post.)

IC: Koji had begun to walk away when the young genin's question caught his ear. Turning back to him he said "You are a young genin of the hidden leaf, our future." he began, "Although it may seem like you are nothing special at times, remember that you are our backbone for in your hands lies the support of our village. You were born into the will of fire and the will of fire burns bright in all of us, creating a bond within us all. Do not be ashamed to rely on your fellow ninja for anything." Koji explained to Katashi.

"Now if you would excuse me, i must go." Koji walked off into what was left of the night, once again heading towards his house now with the hope that he had just left the young genin with a few useful words of wisdom.

Katashi remained silent as he listened to the two of them speak.

Promises and fellow ninja.

Those were the two main concepts he got out of them. To make himself a promise and use it as a driving force to help him continue going. To trust and rely on his fellow nin because they were all there to work with each other. Something perhaps even more important was him being the future of the Leaf. It was as he had said before.

"Thank you," He told the two, waving at them as they walked off. He turned back around to look out at the village once more before it was his turn to turn in.

"As the future, I will make sure that this village see's more ninja like us." As he left, he couldn't help but grin. Something had crossed his mind and he found it funny.

Maybe one day, I'll be the Jounin giving some kid advice.
