Friendship? Not quite...

Post by Ace Trainer » Mon Feb 15, 2010 3:38 pm

Yasunari stood on the roof, staring down at what was occurring below him. A woman ran for her life as a man chased after her. His eyes were like mirrors as the man finally tackled the woman down and ripped the purse out of her arms. His body holding hers down, he began searching through the contents of her purse. She screamed for her life, causing him to slam the purse against her face, slamming her face into the concrete ground.

The scent of blood filled Yasunari's nose, "Go get the blood...", a cynical voice whispered. Yasunari ignored it, watching the events unfold. His face was blank as he did nothing to stop the crime. He then proceeded to throw her purse to the side, stuffing the money into his pocket.

He flipped her over, ripping into her blouse, laughing as he did so. 'You're just sitting here and watching, baka-host? You're such shit. Letting a woman be attacked.', he said. Yasunari shook his head, "Aii, she'll be ok. I know it.", he said with a smile.

He continued watched the struggle as the blouse was finally ripped open.

“Ah, there he is.” Yasu muttered to himself as he walked through the streets of Konoha. He had just been briefed on what his new duty was as a Guardian. Since it was a Guardian mission, he didn’t mind like he normally would. He also didn’t mine because he was personally interested in this.

He was to be mentor to the host of the Ichibi. He felt for the genin. He had so much responsibility thrust on to him at birth, Yasu didn’t even want to imagine how much pain it must have brought him.

Yasu muttered to himself once he saw the genin standing on a roof. Yasu leapt to a nearby roof and then jumped from there onto the same roof as Yasunari. That was when he heard and saw the scene below. He didn’t question why Yasunari wasn’t doing anything, he just jumped into action.

He jumped from the roof, calling out his bugs as he did so. Just his medical ones, they quickly coated his body, ready to leap off at any moment.

Although a pacifist, this situation called for some immediate conflict. Yasu landed directly next to the girl on the ground and sent a kick out to the head of the man over her. Obviously, he wasn’t a shinobi. The kick easily connected and sent him off of her and put him unconscious.

Yasu hadn’t meant to kick that hard, he was so unused to fighting that he just went all out.

Quickly, he turned to the woman and examined her. Her face was bloody and her head was oozing blood. He placed his hand on her forehead, the bugs on his hand flooded onto her face. It might have been disgusting for her, but she’d thank him later.

First, the bugs split themselves up and concentrated themselves onto each wound and the area around it. Once in place, they secreted a fast acting fluid that immediately numbed the pain from the injuries. Next, the bugs went inside the actual wounds and did their thing. They packed closely together and imitated the skin cells, stopping the blood from coming out of her body and the possibility of the wound getting infected. Lastly, the remaining bugs dug into the womans skin and entered her body, moving into her skull. Her head had been fractured by the beating, but the Med-bugs would fix it. They searched throughout the skull and brought back all of the tiny pieces that broke off, putting them back together like a puzzle. To finish it up, the bugs continuously pushed against the bones from all sides, keeping the bone in place.

With a sigh, Yasu wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked up at Yasunari.

“Call for a medical ninja. Now.”
Yasu spoke with a coldness that was foreign to him. It was slightly intimidating. He was genuinely angry at the lack of action from Yasunari.
SpoilerShow
Mushi Cast
C-ranked
This jutsu is used when there are fragmented bones. First of all, the bugs would find each fragment of the bone in the body and bring it back into its original place, piecing them back together as best they can, this can cause some discomfort. Next, the bugs would surround the bone that has been pieced back together and then push against it from all sides. With all the bugs constantly pushing against the bones from all sides, the bone stays together and remains usable.

Mushi scab.
C-ranked
Mushi scab is a simple jutsu that is used for shallow cuts that don’t penetrate past the dermis of the skin. The bugs are sent to the wound and basically plug it. The bugs first cover the surface, stopping any foreign elements from entering the wound. Next smaller groups of bugs would enter the wound and essentially fill the gap left by the injury. The bugs would link together and connect with the walls of the injury, allowing the passage of blood as usual. Next and most importantly, any sort of blood vessel receives the same treatment by having bugs pack together and connect to the cut blood vessel and allow the passage of blood to occur normally. This process is rather quick considering the lack of severity of the wound and takes about a minute, less than a post.

Eiseichuu anesthetic
B-ranked
The Eiseichuu are sent upon the users direction to a certain area on the body. Upon reaching the target, the bugs would latch onto the area quickly and secrete a fluid that seeps into the targeted area. This fluid on its own from one Eiseichuu doesn’t really do anything, but when used in groups, it is capable of numbing. The numbing strength depends on the number of bugs, if sufficient bugs are sent, the area is completely numbed and the target feels nothing in that area. If the secretion is inserted and the bugs promptly leave, the numbness will only last one post. If the bugs remain, they will constantly secrete the numbing fluid until they are called back or disposed of by other means.

Yasunari watched as Yasu interjected on the situation, bringing a spark to the young boys eyes. This is exactly how he lived his life. These were the moments the inspired his nindo. A brief moment of heroism, a flash of light into the darkness of this world. Yasu was exactly that.

Until he spoke.

Ew.

He wasn't light. He was a lost soul. Some sort of wannabe kindred spirit that did good deeds for the fame. That's what Yasunari read from his voice. And the command he had been given. In one ear, and ignored by the other as he shook his head no. "She'll be fine.", Yasunari was not happy.

He turned, and began walking. He cared not for Yasu nor the woman. Neither were of any significance to him. Yasu was disrespectful, and for what reason? None.

It was weird, Yasunari had the persona of empty-happiness. So when something bad happened, he didn't care. It didn't phase him. He was raised around things like this, and he saw people die, but most within the village lived. Why should he have to intercede? He never did.

So with that thought looming, he was content with the fact that he had ignored Yasu and gone on his own merry way.

Yasu knew the woman would be ok, the med bugs would keep her going until a medical ninja saw her. His choices were to carry her to the nearest hospital or follow Yasunari. He felt following Yasunari was more important, since the woman didn’t actually need his help.

“You’re fine now. The bu-… Jutsu I used on you will keep the pain away and will keep your bones together. I need you to walk to the nearest hospital. When you get there, tell them you have Aburame Eiseichuu inside of your body taking care of your injuries temporarily. Once your wounds are healed, the Eiseichuu will just leave eventually in small groups, unnoticeable.” Yasu avoided directly saying bugs and hoped the woman would be too dazed to actually think about it. At most, she had mental trauma. Physically, she’d be fine.

Calling back the excess medical bugs, Yasu turned to where Yasunari had went and sprinted after him. By now, his initial anger was gone and he was now curious.

Yasu walked beside Yasunari, keeping his speed the same as his. “Why didn’t you do anything?” Yasu wasn’t angry this time, his tone was one of curiosity. He was beginning to wonder if this was due to what he was thinking before. Something caused by the Bijuu inside the boy. If so, he couldn’t blame him as much for his actions.

Yasunari's hand clutched into a fist as he noticed Yasu catching up to him. The sand shifted loudly in his jar, and when Yasu started talking, his hand relaxed. It was different, again. Maybe Yasunari had him all wrong. "Because she would be fine. That's why you're here, and not there.", he said jumping off the roof onto another.

'Or maybe because you're heartless curr just like they all think you are.', the Shukaku practically seethed. It was like a constant voice, whispering in his ear, trying to destroy his mind.

"Besides, its not my job to help her. She would have gotten her light, or....stayed in the dark. She got her light, so why ask questions?", Yasunari inquired. He was right about this, at least, with his view of the world he was.

He smiled, "I'm Yasunari-chan. And you?"

Yasu thought it over as they walked. He liked to think of himself as an understanding person. If one wasn’t understanding, they’d be surrounded by conflicts at all times. So Yasu felt he knew what Yasunari meant, but he still couldn’t Understand it.

“Hm. But wouldn’t it have been better to help the woman immediately instead of letting it play out. Even if you knew that somebody would help her eventually?” Yasu was becoming intrigued. He wanted to understand this boys philosophy, it would make working with him easier.

Yasu replied casually. “Hello, Yasunari-chan. I’m Aburame Yasuchuu. Call me Yasu.” He disliked being called anything but Yasu, he used formalities with others, but preferred not having it used on him.

Yasunari looked at him strangely, "Haha, Yasu is like Yasunari. Haha, same name...", Yasunari laughed, but his eyes didn't. He was forcing himself to act as he was expected to, as always. "Nice to meet you Yasu-senpai.", he said, yet again forcing a smile.

Then the question early struck him.

"Know? I didn't know...how was I supposed to know light would come to her? I've seen worse happen with no light..". Yasunari said, he voice drifting a little.

'That's right, you didn't know. Because you're sick, just like they all think you are. He thinks the same about you.'

Yasunari shook his head, "She wouldn't have died. He would have taken what he wanted and left. It happens all the time, the people in this city. They're...interesting.", he said with a smile.

Talking about the people of Konoha. The only time he smiled a real smile.

Yasu’s face was semi-serious as he listened. The boy was being fake when he laughed, he didn’t try too hard to hide it. Yasunari greeted him and Yasu gave a slight nod, not wanting to speak and interrupt the boy’s thoughts.

His reply struck Yasu as important. There was what he was looking for, a sign that this wasn’t his fault. He would have to look more into Yasunari’s history, it seems some things happened. Probably caused by that unnatural abomination inside of him.

“Hm. I see. So it’s not that you knew she’d be helped, you just knew she’d be ok. But my question remains the same. Why not help her? Why not save her the pain of the attack? Physically, she might be ok, but the attack could mentally scar her.”

All of a sudden, Yasu stopped.

“Oh crap…. Ok so, how do you feel about punishing criminals? Because I completely forgot to restrain the man who attacked her. Mind if we walk back, but continue the conversation?”

He shook his head, "You don't get it, huh, Yasu-senpai? I didn't know much of anything. Its how this world works. There's a lot of darkness, a lot of it. But every once in a while, there is light. That's why it keeps going. Thats why there isn't chaos. There's just enough light to hold us in the right spot.", Yasunari lived this life.

Watching darkness and light. Good and evil. The eternal struggle that was incredibly prominate in Konoha. Yasunari constantly watched it.

"Why? You told her to go, didn't you? Not to mention you knocked him out, Yasu-senpai. Seems you're a flickering light really. Couldn't control yourself? If she didn't go like you told her too, she will face the consequences. Don't intervene. Events play out the way they're supposed to. Your actions are only ones that mess up the flow. At least, when you're a neutral party. You caring for that woman proves otherwise..", Yasunari said with a glance at Yasu.

'You glorify yourself, scum. Only because the others see you as hell.'

Yasu sighed with disappointment. He had hoped Yasunari would come with him. He was enjoying their conversation. “I’m not doing it for just the woman. I’m doing it so he won’t harm more people. Even if it was meant to be one way and I’m disrupting the flow, I rather do so and prevent the future harm that I can.” Yasu smiled genuinely at Yasunari before he turned and started to walk away.

“It was nice meeting you Yasunari-chan. Hopefully, I’ll see you around. Next time we speak, I wonder if I’ll manage to get a real smile out of you.”

With that, Yasu jumped from roof to roof, returning to the scene to detain the criminal. The whole time, he thought of Yasunari. A truly interesting person.

For the first time in a while, Yasu was motivated to work.

Yasunari sighed, and nodded. "Do as you want. I can't stop you.", he stopped walking at this point, to look at Yasu as he walked away. What a strange man. He couldn't really read him. What business did he have with Yasunari, anyways?

"Hai, nice meeting you too, Yasu-senpai.", the was a quiet laugh at the comment about his smile. Or maybe it was a scoff. Regardless, Yasunari was humored by it. Possibly because he knew there wasn't anything to really be happy about. No matter how much light he saw, he'd still catch the dark.

With that, he turned, and walked away with no sort of destination.
