It wasn't every day that you got assigned to a new team (and if it was every day then you probably have some sort of mental problem whereby people don't want you on their team). Hebe was looking forward to meeting the two genin that he was teamed with; unfortunately, their jounin sensei was away on business so he couldn't come to the initial meeting.
Hebe wondered what the two teammates would be like and how the three of them would get along. The only thing he knew was that one of them was a Nara, which surely had some benefits being teamed with an Awai like himself. Of course, it was very possible that they would get along as well as oil and water... Or light and shadow. Hebe mused to himself as he walked. If that were the case, they were more than likely going to get in each other's way than aid each other.
For now, it was all musings. For all he knew, they'd get along marvelously and the world would need to bow before their feet. And then there was the third genin: who knew what s/he would be like. It would definitely take Hebe awhile before he knew anything about these new teammates.
He arrived at the meeting place with a minute to spare. It seemed to be a training ground, but one that hadn't been properly maintained. Maybe it was an old one that was no longer being serviced. Either way, it was a nice day out so it was nice getting out and breathing the fresh Fire Country air. He found a nice, sturdy tree and leaned against it. His open shirt flapped in the slight breeze. He waited for his teammates to arrive. His eyes were closed as he appreciated the breeze, the shade, and the fresh air.

Hanako left her house with thirty minutes to go until they were to meet up. "Chinke. This day was going to be my nap day. I had even finished my chores and training so I could just sleep." The genin was slowly strolling through the streets. Since today was supposed to be a noncombat meeting, she wore a simple grey sundress and wide brimmed straw hat. Because she never knew what was to come, she had her under armor shorts and sports bra on. Her usual shinobi shoes adorning her feet, the black choker around her neck and her hitai-ite around her forehead.
She didn't much care who her teammates were. She was slightly glad just to be on a team. It would give her a chance to practice against other styles. Unlike most Nara, she wasn't the super genius. She did however have a knack for instant strategies. So whom ever she was teamed with, she would have to learn their basic strategies and work around them. That was the beauty of being a flower that grows in the shadows.
As she approached the meeting spot, she spotted an Awai in the meeting place. So it seemed she was with a member of the offshoot Clan of hers. Depending on his light making capabilities, this could be advantageous.

Sin was running toward the meeting place, already a few minutes late. She couldn't believe it! She'd set her alarm early so she'd get there in time to set up a prank, but she'd slept right through it! Or so she first thought. Now she had the sneaking suspicion that Tousha had messed with her alarm so he wouldn't be woken up before 10. Or maybe he wanted her to sleep in, as some sort of joke. She wouldn't put it past him.
But, now, she was late for the first, unsupervised, team meeting with her new teammates. With no prank set up. No idea whatsoever of who her teammates were or what they were like. She hadn't seen Sei-sensei in a few days, so she couldn't really ask him. Hopefully there wasn't a girl on her team; so far, she'd been lucky, what with Satoshi-kun, Cire-kun, and (a while back) Minoru-kun. If there was ANOTHER Hyuuga on her team, she'd tell Tousha the clan was stalking her. Or maybe she'd get lucky and not have any clan genin.
Or maybe not.
She spotted what could only be a Nara and an Awai under a tree, waiting. For her. Crap. A girl Nara, and another Awai? Maybe clans in general were after her. How great was that? Big, well-known clans having genin in the same team as her, with her background and heritage. Yikes. What was she gonna say? 'Hi, nice to meet you, Awai-kun and Nara-chan. I'm your leader's bastard kid!' Yeeeeeah, no.
"Sorry I'm late! I think my old man messed with my alarm this morning! I didn't miss anything huge like tacos, did I?" she asked as she reached the duo, leaning over with her hands on her knees to gasp for air. She'd forgotten where they'd agreed to meet up, and had ran around the village looking. Another reason why she was late. But she'd never admit that part.

Hebe wondered how long he would have to wait. He wasn't really a stickler for punctuality or anything, but waiting wasn't very fun. People were enigmatic, but that was fun. It amazed Hebe that no two people were the same, though lots of people were similar in some way.
He didn't even notice as someone walked up to him. It didn't help that she hadn't announced herself either. Hebe first knew he wasn't alone when he heard a girl apologizing and running up to him. His eyes flickered open and he was surprised to find a different girl just a few feet in front of him. He noticed that she was the Nara, the clan symbol gave it away. The other girl was just getting to the group and asking about tacos.
"Where do you get your tacos? Mine aren't normally all that huge..." He said, trying to be pleasurable and good humored. It seemed like a good way to approach a new team, first impressions and all. He looked as the red head gasped for breath. He wondered if she was out of shape (bad news for any ninja) or if she'd just run a long time.
"I guess this is all of us. I am Awai Hebereke. It's nice to meet you both."

Hanako looked over to the girl that approached and proceeded to walk over to a post, leaning back on it. The boy seemed to be up to the new team. She might as well get along also. This team was the team she would be going on missions with and training with until the Chuunin exams at least. "I'm Nara Hanako. Pleasure to meet you." Her voice definitly made it sound like there was a lot less pleasure in it then she said. Her right foot coming up and planting itself on the side of the post as she crossed he arms in the front.

"Yikes, I was right. You both really are clannies." She paused, realized what it sounded like, and scratched her head sheepishly. "Not that there's nothing wrong with clans, and I guess I should be thankful I don't have another Hyuuga for a third time. I'm Hokkaido Sinoko, but you guys can call me Sin." Geez, she should really use her brain before she used her mouth. She could seriously get herself in a tight spot with an Awai and a Nara if they got pissed at her.
She straightened up and put her hands on her hips, looking over her two new teammates. Hopefully they'd last longer than her last two teams. She'd never get to the Chuunin Exam with a team if everyone kept disappearing. Sin didn't want to work with someone she didn't know; she'd rather pass or fail the exam with people she could trust, that she knew for sure she could work with (hopefully she could work with Nara Hanako... but she doubted it).
"Uh... Sorry Sensei couldn't be here. He was busy and all. But he's really cool, you should like him!" Sin went on, taking the initiative since she saw herself as a senior member of the team. Hey, she'd been with Sensei through a team before this one. She was a senior member. Sensei was the only one that hadn't randomly disappeared. Well, Sensei and Kai-sensei. Sin mentally frowned in thought. Had she really scared them all off, like her brothers claimed? Somehow, the idea of scaring off Satoshi-kun seemed impossible. Cire-kun and Minoru-kun, sure.
She snapped out of her thoughts and grinned at them. "So! An Awai and a Nara! This should be awesome! Light, Shadow, and Fire, ne?"

Hanako, huh? Hebe thought to himself. She doesn't seem interested to be here at all. I wonder if she's worried we'll bring her down or maybe she's afraid depending on others will make her weaker. Interesting... A slight grin crossed his lips, but his head turned slightly as Sin began talking.
Heh, Sin's mouth moves before her brain has time to catch up. Good thing I'm not easily upset. Hebe didn't realize that his new sensei had been teaching Sin already. He thought it was a completely new team, but he now realized he was simply filling the holes that other genin had left.
"Light, shadow and fire." Hebe repeated. "So does that mean that you focus on Katon techs?" Hebe asked, directing his attention to Sin. If Hanako wasn't interested in being here, then he'd treat her as if she wasn't here. At least, until he could tell how it made her react.

Hanako sighed under her breath as they both went through the phrase. 'Light, Shadow, and Fire.' It sounded like the expected her to fill in the gaps of the team. Light was there put up front by Sin, probably as a way to curry favor towards him. it happened. It happened alot actually. teams would form. Two seem to favor each other over the third. The third gets left in the dust in the chuunin Exams. Not exactly favorable for her...couldn't really say ambitions because at the moment her only ambition was to get home and take a nap.
"So that means we have to watch out for Suiton users for you." Hanako piped up from her leaning post. "Land of Fire. Will of Fire. Hard to find a team without at least one Katon user. Chinke." The last word said slightly under her breath. She looked over to the other girl. "Just because we come from a clan with unique jutsu styles you think we are one trick ponies, only using light and Shadows?"
Using a couple hand seals, she held her hand out to the side creating a spear of earth that shot up from the ground. She plucked it from the ground and spun it up to lay across her shoulders.

The Nara was really starting to get on her nerves. She hadn't meant it like that, 'one trick ponies'. It had slipped! Hebereke had let it go, why couldn't Hanako? Well, she wasn't going to let an overly-sarcastic Nara dampen her mood. She had a new team!
"Geez, sorry for having a common affinity. It's not like I could help that I had Katon, ya know." she said brightly, though a frown flashed across her face. It was bad enough she'd been teamed up with a girl, even without the attitude! "You know, this is a team thing, so if you'd join the rest of the team over this way, we might actually be able to get to know one another better. That's the point, right?"

Oh great! These two are getting along marvelously! Hebe jokingly thought to himself.
"Well with hair that color, it's hard to imagine you controlling anything other than Katon." Hebe commented to Sin, a joking tone obvious in his voice. He was trying to lighten the mood, though he wasn't sure either of these two ladies was at all interested.
He turned to Hanako and motioned to the spear "Doton. Cool. That could definitely come in handy as quite a few are defensive measures," he mentioned, though he couldn't help but smirk at the fact that the one she'd used was an offensive technique.
The two were already getting at each other and Hebe wasn't going to stop them. It may seem like his place to step in and stop a conflict, but Hebe wasn't going to do that. For one, he was interested in what pushed these girls buttons, so seeing it first hand was a plus. But secondly, if they were going to argue and bicker, they may as well get everything settled here and now when no one's life was on the line.

Hanako planted the spear in the ground in her shadow. The sun light just right behind her to create a shadow of the spear connecting to the next post. She figured the little girl wouldn't see it coming, but then she stopped and sauntered forward, realizing it was her fault this was going this way. She was just tired and lazy. She put a smile on her face and stopped in front of the other two. "Sorry today was just supposed to be my nap day and I suppose I'm a little cranky."

Sin raised a brow and was barely able to resist replying, "A little cranky?" Though not known for self-control, Sin grinned and bore it. At least Hanako apologized... that was something. Sin hadn't expected anything more than the attitude Hanako had revealed the moment Sin had arrived. Hey, maybe there were some girls that weren't all completely horrible. Waaaait. Back up. Girls, not completely horrible? She never thought that. Ever. Girls were girls.
"Well, the plan was lunch, but I think Tousha's working or hiding somewhere so people think he's working. And I'm broke without the guy. I should really try to weasel an allowance out of him. So, we're stuck out here with each other, getting used to each others' attitudes," she glanced over at Hanako, "...and other junk. I mean, you know, learn to trust one another or whatever. Teamwork. Surprise Sensei when you guys get to meet him." She raised a brow and looked back and forth between her new teammates, wondering if they were anything like any of her former teammates. Maybe Hebereke was like Minoru-kun. Hanako reminded her of Satoshi, to tell the truth, and that made Sin pause her thoughts for a moment. A female Satoshi-kun seemed a bit hard to imagine, but Hanako fit the bill.

Hebe was glad that Hanako was at least making an effort to get along with Sin. He could see how Sin's words could get the better of someone with a poor temper, or someone cranky. He smiled as she moved forward and admitted to being cranky. He turned as apparently Sin mentioned there were plans for this little meeting.
"Tousha?" Hebe said, more trying to place the name than really asking anything.
"Wait! Are you talking about the Hokage?!" Hebe's normal carefree attitude had been lost in that instant as he realized that not only did Sin know their sensei already, but she also knew the Hokage. And if that wasn't bad enough, he paid for her stuff.
"Wait... Allowance? Don't people normally give that to their children?" Hebe was slowly putting the pieces together. This girl was the Hokage's daughter. Maybe it was common knowledge to everyone, Sin sure was pretty casual about it, but Hebe had no idea. It was news to him and now he realized that he was on a team with the Hokage's daughter.

She'd heard of her father's status as a ladies' man before, so it didn't really startle her. Neither did the fact that Hanako's mom knew. It couldn't have been that much of a secret. OOC: Sorry, its taken me so long to post. Haven't been in the mood.
IC: Hebe relaxed as the information sunk in. He was teamed with the Hokage's daughter. Something that seemed to interest him was how calm Hanako was about the new information. She didn't seem to react at all though she did throw a jab at the Kage concerning his past relationships with women. He wondered if it would set Sin off.
He watched as she just took the comment in stride and asked Hanako for information. Maybe these two could get along afterall.

Tousha's bad about answering the door in his boxers. It's kind of disturbing," she said, nodding. "But anyway. Sensei said he'd be done with whatever he was doing in about... uh, 15 minutes, I guess. Said to meet him in a restaurant or something. He's got the table reserved and everything, so I guess him and Tousha were planning on Tousha being too busy to treat us to lunch." Sin glanced around at her teammates and shrugged. "So let's go and see if we can get to Sensei before he comes up with some random test for us."

Hebe grinned a little at the thought of the Hokage answering the door in nothing but his undies. Sin started giving out the itinerary for the day's events. Hebe listened intently. He wondered if this is how the team would be: Tousha constantly involved, sensei relaying information to Sin, and Sin relaying the information to Hanako and Hebe. Currently it didn't really seem like they were a team so much, but maybe it was just early and things would straighten themselves out later.
"Alright. I could eat, I guess." Hebe stopped his leaning and stood up straight, putting all his weight on his own feet rather than the post he'd been leaning on.

Hanako turned towards the area's exit when it was announced about the team meeting with the sensei. He sleep was being put off more and more. "If he answers the door in his boxers with me. I'll just have him pull them down. He won't do that again." She turned around and gave a girly smile to them. "And no worries about me. I wear layers." This was directed more towards Hebe who could possibly be tryig to picture her pulling down her pants to make the Hokage drop his.
