The office you are placed in is a small doctor’s office with but a few rooms and many guests in the lobby waiting to be checked. They all have different ailments ranging from simple wounds such as lacerations to more detailed bacterial infections. All the nurses and docs seem too busy to actually give you a formal welcome and move about saying quick phrases.

”Oh you’re here, we need you to go to room nine and check on the patient there. All the information is on his medical charts. The doc will be there shortly to make sure everything is okay with you.”

As you move down the hall the many moans and sometimes laughs waft through the air. For a place of ill health it sure does seem lively. In room nine is a small boy with solid colored eyes. It is immediately apparent he is a Hyuuga clan member as he looks at you and smiles sweetly.

”Hay doc, what’s wrong with me?” The medical charts show basic medical history but little else of use. This is your first patient, lets see how you handle him.

Medical history: Healthy young Hyuuga male with few instances of needed care. At the age of twelve he had surgery done on his right arm from an accident at the medical academy and now has a steel plate holding his shattered bones together.

Anna walked into the room and smiled kindly at the Hyuuga. She then took a quick glance at his med chart and said, ok, so what seems to be the problem?

Shit, sorry, I forgot about this one.

As the lad stands up and removes his shirt you notice a very large bruise on his side. It is still rather new having been only a day or so old. As he turns however he grunts in pain and you hear a long srting of cracks and pops. A single rib looks to be obviously broken from whear you stand as well as his spine seems slightly deformed.

"Had a bit of a mission and something got ahold of me from behind. I know my rib is broken but that should not do this."

Anna walked over to him and said, "Well, you do have a broken rib, but let me see if I can find anything else." While she said this, she began probing his body for any hidden problems.

By kneeling over a patient, the shinobi using this skill can probe the body for signs of injury that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Internal wounds, non-apparent bone fractures, poisoning, disease, and abnormal or improper heart rate can be found quickly depending on the user. If a Genin is using this technique, it could take several minutes of work to diagnose the problem, while a higher ranked ninja could have it done from less than a minute down to a few seconds time.

With the added bit of jutsu you can see that he has some deep bruising from rather savere blunt force trauma. It is also easily read that he is bleeding internaly but it is slow. With a few more days he may have gotten ill from the blood loss but lickily he has caught it ahead of time. The broken rib is simply broken and easily mended, for a rib.

He sits back down on the table after you are done and looks over at you with an inquisative eye. As he sees you have new information he seems to get a bit worried and kinda fidets a bit then calms down and looks you square in the eye. "Do whatever you gotta do doc but please no pills. I'm not an Akimichi or a Inuzuka so please keep the pills away from me."

Anna nodded. She wouldn't need pills.

"Just hold still" She said. She then placed her hand on the bruised flesh and slowly, one by one, began to mend his injury.

*Shousen Jutsu [Mystical Hand Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Shousen Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by medical ninja. This technique allows the ninja to heal wounds by focusing their own chakra to their hands. If the ninja is highly skilled, they are able to heal more critical injuries. Highly skilled medical-Nins such as Tsunade can use their techniques to perform surgeries that otherwise would not be possible.

As he looks down he sees the injuries start to fade. You are able to mend the bruising and the pain starts to vanish but the internal bleeding and the broken rib remain. He still eyes you with a look of thanks and starts to get up and leave. Before he walks out the door however the doc comes in with a look of worry.

He snatchs the charts and reads over them and then looks over at the lad then at you. He seems over worked and tired as he speaks rudly and to the point. "You find out what was wrong with him? If so, what did you already do?" He places the charts down and examines the area closly doing his own diagnosis of the lad while waiting for an answer.

"He had some deep bruising, a slow internal bleed, and a broken rib. I was able to fix the bruising, and was about to try and set the rib when you walked in. The internal bleeding is beyond my skill, however" She said.

With that the doc looks at you with an admiring eye. He seems impressed that you were able to do all that within such a short amount of time. He motions over at the lad to sit on the table and draws out a stethascope to check his heart rate. It is normal to his ears so the doc just puts him through the normal work checking for hidden problems to you. Not finding any he walks over to you and nods before heading for the door.

"Good job and sorry if I seemed sharp. Get that rib fixed and I will have another doc come in and fix the internal bleeding. After you are done here, there is a woman down the hall that is expecting a child in a few months. Go see if you can help out and check on the babies health.... oh, and after that there is one more man down the hall. He is asleep right now but we need you to check up on him after you finish with the woman."

With that he leaves the charts on the desk and walks out the door, closing it gently behind him. The Hyuuga looks over at you and smiles goofily lifting his arm up to expose the rib. With a grunt he holds it up waiting for you to do your thing.

Anna smiled kindly and walked over to the Hyuuga. She placed one hand on his rib, and one on the other side of his torso. When she had found the rib, she told him to grab a towel that was at the side of the bed so that he would not injure his mouth in reflex. After that, she breathed deeply, then set the rib. It took a lot of force, but she was sure she did it right. When she was done with that, she bade him farewell, then left to go the the woman.

The Hyuuga grunted as the rib was forced back into place and he bit down on his towel hard enough to sever some of the threads. As it set and began to be mended, however, he did not make a sound. It was clear that he liked the new feeling and it was not going to be bothering him any more. "Thanks doc. That one had been hurting for some time. Now, that woman down the hall needs you. I'll make sure to put in a good word for yea though." With that he nodded and sat back on the table.

As you pass the hall you notice a great many people with all kinds of ailments. Some with lacerations, other with illness. But you finally get to the maternity ward and find the woman you are meant to help. She is the typical mother a glow as she smiles at your entrance. Her man stands over her with a look of doubt as he sees you. "They send a kid to check up on my wife? No offense kid but have you done this before?" His voice is not mean but uncertain.

"Shush, I'm sure she knows what shes doing." Keeping the same sweet smile she kissed him lightly and the both seem to settle back down. You then spot the charts on the end of the bed with the medical information. All of it is pretty standard and the only thing you notice missing is the condition of the baby. A small note is left saying, "Let the temp handle this. The kid should be fine though"

Anna didn't ignore the man, but she didn't let it bother her. "Sir, I am a highly trained medical ninja. Please step back and let me handle this." And with that, she walked up to the woman, smiled kindly, then placed both of her hands on her stomach and began to examine her for anything that could be wrong with either the mother or the child.

You notice that the child is healthy but not entirely. The mother seems to be a bit dehydrated but the kid is all right and a increase in fluid intake will solve that problem. Aside from that you can tell that the child is to be a boy and already you can tell he will have a strong heart. Over all, this kid will be healthy and a pain in their parents necks.

As you lay hands on the mother however she slightly jumps from the touch but then smiles sweetly and lets you work. The father holds her hand and does not speak outside of the occasional worried grunt. It is clear he does not fully trust this whole, chakra, thing. His wife's smile and coaxing brings him down to a tolerable lever though.

"So, do we have a son or daughter?"

Anna looked up once her diagnosis was complete. "You will have a boy. He is already healthy and strong. You, however," she said gesturing to the woman, "need to be drinking more water. You are dehydrated. It isn't too bad now, but be sure to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of water every day. Have a good day."

And with that, she summarized her findings on a sheet of paper and stuck it with the pre-existing report. She then moved on to the next patient. She walked into the man's room and saw that he was sleeping. She then read the charts to see what she was needed for.

The charts read normally until the special conditions. This man suffered from long periods of exhaustion and was prone to simply fall asleep on the spot. As you notice this he seems to be in a dead slumber and does not seem to want to wake up for anything. A doctors note tells you that you need to find out why he sleeps so much and to wake him from this slumber. The other doctors gave up trying.

Anna walked up to the man and began to diagnose him, trying to discover the problem behind his chronic fatigue.

You notice a clot in his leg that would explain the fatigue but does not fully explain it. It would need a lot more than simply a slightly cut off blood flow to actually cause the kind of fatigue that this is causing. As you move up you notice a kink in his spine that is causing the spinal column to be pinched. That would place a lot of pain on the nervous system but you cannot think if it would cause that kind of fatigue.

Anna completed the test and walked over to the note sheet to jot down her findings.

"Blood clot in left leg -- could be contributing to fatigue, spinal cord is being pinched by a subluxation of C5. Other underlying causes could not be determined."

The notes were taken as the doc came in to look at the man. He read your notes then looked you square in the eye as he spoke. "It would seem you found quite a few of the possible problems. Did you check the spinal column though?" As he did that he went over and began to feel around the back of the mans neck for any possible signs of damage.

As he did his face grimaced and he withdrew. He left the room for a short time and then returned with a nurse in hand. "You can come with us if you want or you may leave.This man has a pinched nerve due to a fractured disk and he needs to be operated on. As far as the rest of them, you're free to go."

With that the nurse took the man to an ER room and left them alone. It would seem your job here was done.
