[Mission] Where are youuuuu!?

The house was a big one, fancy, rich, well... it was in the wealthier side of town after all, so it fit right in. It was pink and white, very girly. Despite this, the house and the area around it such as the bushes and trees, were very well kept. The owner certainly kept up with the house. As for the mission, the shinobi would have to venture in and speak with the owner. Apparently, a request had been put to find a missing dog, but it was rather vague.

It was a warm day and Tai had to fight the urge to strip down to his boxers. For some reason, he felt completely sure that would not make a good impression in this high end part of the village. On his way to the house, he had received stares and looks of distaste at his merely being shirtless. He wholly fought the urge to remove the rest of his clothes for some relief from the heat, and figured it best to have one less article of clothing to worry about removing.

Once inside the gate, a rather elaborate looking thing, Tai walked to the door and knocked three times with his knuckles, ignoring both the bell and the door knocker. These people would most definitely be able to tell that he was not from their end of the village. What Tai was hoping was that they would see him as suitable to find their lost dog.

A plump, round woman answered the door. She wore a purple dress and stared at Tai with a bit of disgust and disbelief that he would walk around shirtless. Shaking her head, she ushered him in quickly as to avoid having any of the neighbors see him enter her house. Of course, it was already too late for that. Regardless, once inside she got right to the point.

"My Pookie is missing," She spoke somewhat childish and spoiled as she perked up her nose. "You must find Pookie and quickly. My poor baby... Oh! It must be suffering. Poor Pookie is so small and fragile, it's my baby. My little Pookie is a smooth beige color and simply loves to run around. I don't know what I'll do without Pookie, so find him already."

Tai looked at the lady, sure she was absolutely insane. "Pookie" probably ran away because of this woman's crazy obsession with it, not to mention her odd mannerisms. Tai could also tell that she wasn't too bright, and was rather hysterical. All that aside, however, he had an assignment to find this dog, and was going to do his job.

One moment ma'am. When and where was the last time that you saw... erm... pookie? I also need to know exactly what he looks like, so if you have a picture that would be helpful. Also, if he has ever..... been lost before, it might help if you tell me where he was located then. These things tend to happen repeatedly and dogs are creatures of habit, much like we are.

Of course, Tai was making all of this up as he went along, mostly talking to calm the woman. He knew nothing about catching dogs and had never had a mission like this before. If she managed to provide all of the stated information, however, he imagined that it might help the search a little, though chances are, it would still become just a needle in a haystack situation.

"The last time I saw my precious Pookie," The woman thought for a moment before replying. "It was in this house, right here in the living room. It was about two hours ago... Now that you mention it, Pookie has run off in the past. He's never left the house though and he always came back after a while, but he hasn't returned this time. I'm afraid I don't have any pictures," The woman gave him all the information she could. "Feel free to search the house for any clues. I'll be around as well."

Tai looked the woman over. At least the conversation had gotten him somewhere. Rather than having to go search the entire village for the dog, he just had to look in this house. How hard could that be?

Do you have a basement?

Tai checked the room they were in while they had their conversation. He checked behind and under furniture, as well as inside closets. He did not really expect to find the dog, but maybe some kind of clues as to the kind of place it liked to hide.

"Yes," She replied as she headed for the stairs. Then she went behind them and there was a door there. "We have two basements. There is a second one underneath the first one right below us. My late husband designed this house and made it so that he could keep all his things stored below. It is a rather huge mess down there."

There were no clues in the current room to be found, perhaps it was time to go below.

Tai walked past the woman, nodding politely, and proceeded down the stairs into the first basement. every so often there would be a lantern to light his way so he did not trip down the stairs but he would be unsure what to expect until he reached the bottom.

Does the door to the second basement stay closed? if so, I don't think there's any reason for us to check there.

He had no fear of the dark, and knew he could light up the place if the need presented itself. He simply did not want to waste his time looking in pointless places.

"I'm not sure," The woman headed for the door to the lower basement. Upon reaching it, she discovered that it was already open and had been left opened slightly.

"Oh my! It's already open..." She glanced back over at Tai, could Pookie be down there? The lower basement had less lights and was really dirty. Boxes littered the place and other junk as well, making moving around rather difficult with both obstacles.

Tai sighed. He was sure that if the woman had checked the rest of the house before becoming willing to pay for a mission to find this animal, this would be the only place left to check.

It's quite possible that's where he's at ma'am. If you give me a second, I'll head down and check.

Tai edged past the client and maneuvered down into the second basement. He kept a hand on the rail and carefully moved over each obstacle in the way. There was very little light, so it would take a few moments before his eyes adjusted. He slowed his descent so that he would not reach the basement floor until his eyes had adjusted enough for him to see the silhouettes of everything down there. He put his free hand to his mouth and called out for the dog.

Here Pookie... here boy.
