Disclaimer: Alright. So this is my first time RP'ing in months, so I'm a bit rusty. This topic is meant for me to stretch and warm my RP'ing muscles a bit and get back into the groove of things. I'll be experimenting a bit with quite a few literary devices and see if I can't work them into my writing efficiently. I'm a real grammar nazi, honestly. So if there's a grammatical error in any of my IC writing - whether it be redundancy, punctuation, styling, etc. - it's there on purpose (98% of the time) for LITERARY EFFECT. My writing always has a direction and flow and I never write aimlessly. There's always something a bit deeper than just 'a bunch of words thrown together.' So, that's all I have to say, pretty much.

:: More About Nothing :: It’s easy to forget how majestic; how powerful something truly is while it lies in dormancy. Time tends to have that effect – especially on the selfish perceptions of the majority. Adoration is forsaken; respect is lost; memories fade; fear elapsed. The next thing you know, people let their guards down. People begin to believe otherwise. People begin to doubt the very existence of what once was so great, and that in itself is what leads to the assumption that they’re safe. Unfortunately, that very assumption is often mistaken. As time ticks away at its never-ending reservoir of eternity, people forget. People become accustomed to the norm that masks reality – waiting to be shell-shocked by the inevitable eruption.

The same phenomenon can be applied to the magnificent dance between the Moon and Sun. As the day is recycled into the night, the world falls in love with the calming, silver hue that it’s showered in. The sky itself is littered with marvelous patterns of stars and planets and meteors and celestial bodies that hypnotize the entire populace with their enchanting appeal. All is truly magical, until the standard is shattered by the overwhelming presence of the Sun. It bullies itself into the picture, pushing aside the jewels of the night sky and scaring away the soft-spoken mistress. It flexes its mighty radiance over the entire horizon, his arms reaching out across the land with brilliant efficiency. Within an hour, the world is his again.

Really, that’s all it takes. It’s only a matter of time before what once was so feared; what once was so respected; what once was so adored; what once was so dominant returns to reclaim what was rightfully his. It takes nothing more than to awaken from its dormant state – for its eyelids to slowly reveal what they’ve been so anxious to give back to the world: that look in his eyes. That look in his eyes that says ‘I belong here.’

…and it’s that same look that Kentaru’s eyes will have when he finally awakes from his deep slumber; when his eyelids reveal what they’ve been so anxious to give back to the world; when he bullies himself back into the picture; when he pushes aside the jewels of his absence and scares away the alternative. It’s that same look that Kentaru will have in his eyes when the world is his again.
