*Shousen Jutsu [Mystical Hand Technique]
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
Shousen Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilized by medical ninja. This technique allows the ninja to heal wounds by focusing their own chakra to their hands. If the ninja is highly skilled, they are able to heal more critical injuries. Highly skilled medical-Nins such as Tsunade can use their techniques to perform surgeries that otherwise would not be possible.
"Alright, Kotoya. Let's do some punching bag first. But in order to connect this exercise to the new jutsu you'll be learning today, we're going to add a little twist. I'll be using a kunai, and not just my fists."

Koto gulped. Punching Bag, as aptly named as it is, is an exercise in which Koto and his mother would spar using only taijutsu. There's one catch though; Koto can't make any offensive moves. None. He is only able to block attacks his mother throws at him, something at which he usually failed. Afterwards he'd have to use the massage technique to ease his bruises. The exercise improved his stamina, his taijutsu, and his Iijutsu. The inclusion of the kunai only made him fear it more.

"Here, take this." said Koto's mother, handing the boy a metal rod about the length of a kunai. He was to use this to parry her attacks.

Oh god.

Koto prepared for what would probably be the most painful moments of his life.

~

Kotoya was a bloody pulp. Or something that might have resembled a bloody pulp before it was stabbed a bunch more. When Koto's mother pocketed her kunai, he mentally rejoiced as he had not the capability to do so physically.

"Alright then. This is probably one of the most important medical jutsu you'll ever learn. The Mystical Hand technique. I'll demonstrate, and then you have to take it from there."

She bent down over Koto's body and made a few hand signs before placing both hands on a wound going down his left arm. Moments later a green aura surrounded her hands and the once gaping wound shrunk rapidly until it was no more.

"The effect is much like the skin generation technique, but this time you're focusing your chakra into your hands, not the skin. Though you may not be the best at taijutsu, if there's one thing I know you have, it's chakra control. This jutsu should be a cakewalk for you once you get the hang of it. Now try it by yourself. I've got work to do, so I'll be back later tonight."

Kotoya's mother then left the boy in a bloody heap in the back yard as she walked down to her office.

Koto had been lucky enough to spare his right arm from any attacks, and now that his left arm was functioning, he could make hand signs.

Ox, tiger, snake, rat, horse.

He then placed his hands on a wound on his leg as his mother had done, and manipulated his chakra to his hands. The green aura returned, and slowly, but surely, the wound shrank until it was no more. Nowhere near as fast as his mother, but hey, progress is progress.

"Feh. You think you'll get somewhere with a low quality jutsu? If you'd been operating, the patient would've died before you could close the wound."

Koto turned to see that his mother hadn't really left at all. On the other hand, it did seem odd that she would go down to work on a Saturday. Koto groaned. Sometimes he really hated asking for help from those he despised, and his mother topped the charts in that category.

"How did you get it to work that fast?" he inquired, remembering the speed at which his wound had been healed beforehand.

"I said you had good chakra control. But I never said you were using your chakra correctly. The goal isn't to force your chakra to do what it needs to do. You're just obstructing it's flow that way. You have to be able to channel your chakra in a natural manner. Relax. A hurried jutsu will be much less effective than one that you've prepared. Try again, and this time, suck less. But seriously, think about what I said."

His mother gave sound advice, though he wouldn't admit it. He decided to try again, making the hand signs once more and placing his hands on a wound on his chest. He laid back for a moment, closing his eyes. Then it sort of just... happened. The green aura returned, brighter than before, and his wound healed at a much faster rate, though still much slower than his mother's.

"I'll let that pass for now, seeing as how it's your first time with the jutsu. I want to see improvement though. That'll be it for today. Come inside and we'll get you patched up."

~

Later than night Kotoya found himself in the living room knitting his mother a new sweater. He despised knitting. It made his fingers sore and one messy stitch could forsake hours of work.

"God damn it!" yelled Koto as he pricked his finger on the needle. His mother gave him a dirty look; she disliked obsceneties. She then noticed the difficulty he was having with said sweater and sat down beside him on the couch.

"Wow, you really are clumsy. Just use our family jutsu any time you're feeling especiallly inept. You remember how, right?" she asked. Koto nodded. Medical Precision. His neck tingled just thinking about it.

Tiger, Ram, Snake.

Koto's entire body tensed up. His vision changed; everything but the sweater became blurry, yet it was if he was looking at the stitches through a magnifying glass. He started to knit again, much faster and neater this time. Every row of stitches was perfect.

Until the jutsu wore off, of course. He felt a bit dizzy afterwards, but his mother was impressed.

"That technique can also help you concentrate more when you use your Mystical Hand jutsu. Here, you can try it out..." she added, taking one of the knitting needles from his hand and stabbing it into his thigh, and then proceeding to yank it out roughly shortly after. The boy screamed in agony, glaring at his mother as he painstakingly made hand signs afterwards.

Tiger, ram, snake.

He tensed up. His vision blurred.

Ox, tiger, snake, rat, horse.

He placed a single palm on the puncture wound, and took a deep breath. The green aura returned, once again brighter than before. Seconds later, it was as if the wound had never existed. He disabled the precision jutsu, letting out a relieved sigh.

"Getting better. Always room for improvement, Kotoya."

*Suiton • Funsha [Water Element • Jet]
E-Ranked Ninjutsu
Suiton • Funsha is a jutsu similar to Suiton • Mizurappa by the fact that the user expels a strong jet of water out. However, unlike the Suiton • Mizurappa, the Suiton • Funsha is designed to instead force the user to be "flung" and alter the users direction in mid-air, or fling them into the air by the force of the water itself.
"Alright Kotoya. Today we'll be learning a new technique, and we'll figure out your chakra type. Now, to get things started, show me any form of visible chakra."

Kotoya hated these backyard training sessions with his mother. Usually he'd get beat up before he learned a new technique, so he found it quite odd that his mother didn't have a weapon around. His mother knew him well enough to detect his curiosity.

"No, sadly, today it won't be Iijutsu. If you're so disappointed, we can always play punching bag, just for grins and giggles," chuckled his mother, whipping out a kunai.

"Oh, uh, sorry, the sun was bothering me. That's why I was distracted, yeah..." he explained weakly.

"But it's overcast today."

"I meant the SON of the neighbors. Oh, he's always making so much noise."

"The neighbors don't have any kids. Nice try, Kotoya, but you owe me a new scarf."

The boy groaned. He knew better than to lie to his mother, and now he'd pay the price for it... again.

"Now, any form of visible chakra, please..." repeated his mother, pocketing her kunai.

Koto held up his right hand, closing his eyes. Moments later, deep blue swirling chakra moved about his hand.

"As I expected, you're Suiton, just like me. That means I can teach you even more techniques of my own. Isn't that just FANTASTIC?" his mother exclaimed sarcastically. The boy groaned once more.

"Now, first off, I'm going to teach you a very simple technique; Suiton Funsha. It expels a jet of water from your hands, using the recoil to propel you through the air. It sounds similair to the doubled leap technique, but unlike that one, this jutsu will last as long as your chakra does. Observe."

His mother directed her hands downward, concentrating a bit before a stream of water burst forth from her hands, propelling her straight upward and onto the roof of the house.

"Alright Kotoya, it's your turn. Get to me and we're done for the day!"

Easier said than done. How does she expect me to just suddenly learn how to shoot water out of my hands? This just sounds absurd! Wouldn't something such as this require repeated training over an extended period of time? I mean, I know I'm incredibly handsome and a charismatic superman, but she can't possibly expect me to master such a technique in such a short amount of time. Her unfounded assumption that I might be able to do such a thing is merely baseless conjecture! Poppycock! How silly! I've half a mind to get up there myself and tell her what's what with the back of this here hand! Nothing says chivalry like the bitter taste of a backhand slap! And after that maybe I'll get her back for all those rounds of punching bag too! I'm coming for ya, dumb bi-

"Kotoya! are you just going to stand there all day or are you going to learn this jutsu?" his mother yelled from above.

"Coming mother!" the boy said sheepishly. He aimed his hands at the ground and concentrated on moving his chakra to his hands at an incredibly fast rate, and before he knew it, he was up in the air. The jet was incredibly hard to control, but he was most surely getting vertical height. Lots and lots of vertical height. He passed his mother as he shot upwards on the jet of water.

"How do I stop this thing?" he yelled, continuing to go higher on the bursts of water. His mother said something back, but he couldn't hear it because of the sound of the water and the distance between them.

He continued to go higher and higher until he could no lunger sustain the flow. And then he started falling. Falling much faster than he cliimbed. Moments later he was on the ground with several bones broken.

"That's too bad Koto, but you did okay for your first time! I promise, we'll polish that one to perfection! But hey, at least all the injuries you've sustained from that fall will give you a chance to practice your Iijutsu! Isnt that FANTASTIC?"

The boy groaned before coughing up some blood.

*Binding Smoke
C-Ranked Ninjutsu
This is an offensive ninjutsu. To start this ninjutsu the ninja does the needed hand seals then puts their hands to their throat. They then cough up a small cloud of smoke that drifts over to their target at a speed of 4. If the cloud catches up to the target then it attaches itself to the target's arms and legs and immobilizes them. If the person captured has a strength higher than the control of the ninja using this technique then they can break the smoke. The smoke cloud can broken up by most jutsu that would do so.
"Oh Kotoyaaaaaaa! It's time for a new jutsu!"

Kotoya was hiding under his bed, trying profusely to avoid his mother. He began to notice a trend where whenever he learned a new jutsu from his mother, he always ended up seriously injured. Such an occurence had caused him to fear training, as well as resent his mother for such a method of teaching. Though he did enjoy learning new techniques to better himself, the constant endangering of his well being was something he disliked to an extreme degree. At least it was a better source of learning techniques than Toyota-sensei, who never got off his ass to teach him any jutsu. He never really liked his sensei, always feeling that he favored the others over Kotoya because he liked to work harder and didn't particularly like his habit of heavy drinking.

He especially loathed exercises like punching bag, which left him a bloody pulp only for the sake of getting practice with his Iijutsu. Why couldn't he just revive dead fish like all the other medical nin proteges? But no. He had to get his ass handed to him by his mother of all people and pick up the pieces afterwards. Though he did have to admit it was rather effective in perfecting his Iijutsu. The nice things he had to say about such exercises end there.

His mother entered his room, her eyes combing every nook and cranny before deducing his obvious location. Just for kicks, she created a clone to leave the room to make Kotoya believ he was safe; after he breathed a sigh of relief, the real her yanked him out from under the bed, leaving the boy utterly helpess.

"Now then, let's get to that traini-"

POOF

Kotoya transformed into a pillow in a puff of smoke. A quick substitution gave him a chance to escape. He was out of the room, through the hall, and down the stairs only to find his mother waiting for him at the bottom of the steps. The boy only smirked before leaping up onto the ceilling and using the Tree Climbing jutsu to bypass her and get to the back yard unscathed. The woman growled, growing tired of his games.

Kotoya had a clean break away from here on out, and knew that his mother wouldn't take the initiative to go catch him if he cleared the back fence.

Just a little further...!

Kotoya found himself unable to move his arms or legs, slowing to a dead stop. Upon further inspection, his arms and legs were bound by smoke. He heard his mother chuckle as she stepped in between Koto and the back fence.

"And just where do you think you're going? I'm quite sure you don't want to miss any of this valuable training, do you, Kotoya? Surely this attempt at escape was a mockery of my ability to catch and restrain you. SURELY you don't want to disrespect me and forsake the privelige of getting to train under a master of jutsu such as myself. SURELY you plan to sit right here and listen to what I have to teach you, lest I make you knit more garments than your untrained fingers can handle. SURELY you're quite eager to learn this technique that I have so effortlessly managed to restrain you with."

"Don't... urg... call... errhn ... me... urrg... shirley..." he gasped, struggling to break free of the jutsu his mother had cast upon him. His mother had little patience for the boy's jokes. She cocked back and slammed her left fist into his face, causing him to cough up some blood. They hadn't even begun training yet and he'd already been injured. He could tell they were getting off to a great start. Except not really.

"You'd do well to shut up and listen while I offer my words of wisdom. Is this how you treat Toyota-sensei?"

"Yes, actually," the boy muttered. "Though I doubt he has any words of wisdom to offer."

"What was that?"

"Nothing mother!" he hurriedly exclaimed, dropping his demeanor of disrespect and loathing.

"You're damn right it's nothing. The Nara clan may not be the most motivated people out there, but they're an invaluable source of materials and information for medical nin such as ourselves. I won't hear another word of ill disposition towards them, is that understood?"

"Yes mother..." the boy sighed. He could tell his mother was thoroughly pissed off, and knew now was not the time to protest, lest his mother decide to play an extended round of punching bag on him once again. Nothing good would come of angering her at the moment. He decided the best course of action would be to simply sit down, shut up, and learn the fuck out of this jutsu.

"Alright then. Now that you've stopped acting like an impudent little fool, we can begin."

His mother had calmed, the warmth returning to her face once again. He knew it would be best not to step out of line for the remainder of his training, fearing the consequences might be a bit more severe than a punch to the face. His mother was one to be feared when enraged, as he'd learned through experience. His initial unwillingness to learn Iijutsu had cost him his two front baby teeth at the tender age of five.

"The Binding Smoke technique is an immobilizing tactic you might find useful if you need to retreat and heal yourself or move in for one of those oddball Bencho Haratsu things you can rarely land with the enemy helpess to interfere. It'll catch the average genin, that's for sure, and as long as your chakra control can best their physical ability, they won't be able to break it. The technique is performed by channling your chakra to your throat and forcing it out of your mouthin a concentrated cloud of smoke. Then you must direct this chakra cloud to your opponent and attach it to their arms and legs as I've done to you. You must them constrict their movements by tightening the smoke's hold on their limbs. Observe."

She released the ninjutsu's hold on Kotoya and began making various hand signs before placing her hand on her neck and exhaling a thick cloud tha once again immobilized Kotoya.

"Your turn. See if you can bind me."

Kotoya let out a deep breath before mimicking her hands signs and placing his hands on his neck, channeling the chakra into his throat and forcing it out of his mouth. A small chakra cloud emerged, but dissipated before it could get very far. His mother shook her head rolled her eyes, a signal for Kotoya to try again and not fuck it up this time.

He once again made the hand signs and placed his hands on his neck, closing his eyes an focusing chakra in his neck, compacting it and swirling it about to heighten its intensity before forcing it up out of his mouth in a much thicker cloud than his previous attempt. It sped towards his mother at a relatively quick pace, though she made no noticable attempt to avoid it.

"Well whaddya know. Second time's the charm, they say. Now hurry up and get me me out of this thing so we can play some punching bag, Kotoya."

The boy stood there, giving his mother a blank stare. He did have her trapped, and he had no particular liking to Punching Bag. Perhaps he'd just slip out while she's restrained and...

"WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING THERE YOU IDIOT! RELEASE THE NINJUTSU!"

"...hello? Kotoya?"

The boy had long since jumped the fence.

"OH GOD DAMN IT!!!"
