The large fenced in area was loud with animals barking, yelping, roaring, and moaning. They were all excited by all the people taking a look at them. But none of the animals were as excited as the young boy who was running about frantically, shouting and pointing at every animal he saw. Finally, he stopped, rose a brow, and inquired, "Where did that shinobi go?", you were on the clock.

Hashiro was not a big fan of supervising children. But it was his job as a genin of the Hidden Leaf to carry out all missions no matter what the extent. The sun was shining surprisingly bright today, it was the chattering of all the residents in the zoo that took Hashiro's interest off the weather and focused on the young boy wondering the zoo in excitement. "Sigh..... I better go and convince this kid to buy the goat already... might as well get this over with....

Hashiro was standing on the clock above the boy, there were many residents walking by pointing and chit-chatting about all the amazing animals they saw. Hashiro jumped off the clock and landed next to the obviously stunned boy who was most likely looking around to see if he could spot him. Hashiro's new loose hairstyle was something that separated him from most of the villagers in the village. Finding him wouldn't be a difficult thing to accomplish. "Hey there, looking for me ?"

The young boy was very excited, and as Hashiro arrived infront of him he cheesed and grabbed Hashiro's hand. "Yaaah! shinobi-san! Lets gooo! Animals! Animals!, he shouted, tugging at Hashiro as he rushed forward, his had like a swivel as he looked in every possible direction.

Hashiro looked down at the young boy who was only a few inches shorter than he was. A warm smile came over Hashiro's face as he stared into the young boys eyes, they were full of excitement and joy. The Konoha zoo was always an exciting plays for kids to visit. There were many local residents traveling the zoo in search of animals that came from all over the globe, they all looked very excited as the two walked quickly threw the crowd." Hey Hey , slow down a little will you ! I know that your eager to find a cool new pet to buy, but you need to slow down so I can fill you in on a cool secret."

With the mention of a secre,t the boy immediately stopped in his tracks. He turned and his eyes glistened and gleamed as he tugged on HAshiro's shirt. "Secret! I wanna know the secret! Whats the secret!", he shouted excitedly. "Pleeeeeeeeaasee. Tell me the secretttttttttttttttt."

A slight smile came upon hashiro's face.Heh, Know that I have his attention, lets get this over with. "Uh...yea, I over heard some people saying that there was a couple of goats just around the corner from here. Legend has it that the goats of Konoha arn't like your everyday goats, they posses a secret deep inside them that no human being has ever been able to unlock. But you know what young one, I believe that deep inside, you hold that key. I've seen it inside you since you first stepped threw those gates. Now I don't want you to just expect that you can unlock the secret right away, cause then you would be disappointed. Legend has it that only the one who can take care and nurture the goats with patience can truly unlock the secret deep within." There was a deep silence that closed off everyone else that was around , it was as if the boy was in another world as he stood staring deep into Hashiro's eyes. "Jeesh what's the matter with you kid !"

The kid looked at him curiously, then shook his head. "Goats! Ew gross! I don't want a stinky goat! Oh! Elephants~ Lets goooo!!, he then rushed off, completely ignoring the supposed secret. This certainly wasn't going to work.

Hashiro stood silently in the crowd shocked at what had just transpired. His plan to get the boy to buy the goats had completely failed. "It seems spoiled rich kids aren't as stupid as I had thought. Sigh..." Hashiro continued along behind the boy who was now heading in the direction of the elephants. According to the zoo catalogue, there would be a right turn where the large elephants were standing, around that corner he would find his true target the goats.

There were about 5 elephants all drinking some fresh water from the open field. They smelled really bad, And Hashiro could tell that by the look on the kids face, he was just as disgusted as him. "Hey kid, how about we take a right turn here and go check out animals who don't smell like they've never been cleaned for weeks."

Contrary to Hashiro's face, the look on the childs face was not surprise, but awe. Finally, as Hashiro talked, the child shook his head. "No! No Way! I wanna look at the elephants! Ele-Ele-Elephant!", he then grabbed the fence blocking the people from the elephants and rushed into the area. "Elephants!"

At that point, the largest elephant locked eyes on him.

No, this elephant wasn't happy.

Hashiro wanted to knock the boy's teeth in. The foolish child jumped into the elephants eating zone, and obviously upset one of the largest elephant that was a little further away from the pack in the eating zone.

Only an idiot would actually be brave enough to face this creature, it was about 12 feet, with a large trunk that could squash the boy with one swing.This elephant had a huge scar over its left eye and another on his right thigh.

Hashiro was concerned about the boys safety, after all it was his duty to watch over him and ensure that he safely return without a scratch."Hey ! stay right there, don't move I'll be right over to get you out."

Hashiro quickly began moving over in the elephants direction , he was being as cautious as he could, trying not to alarm the beast.

The boy looked around when Hashiro shouted at him, confused as ever. To him, this large elephant wasn't angry, simply being an animal. So the fearless child clapped and laughed in excitement. Of course, this didn't help in the slightest, and in an attempt to intimidate, he lifted his trunk up, preparing to swing right at the boy.

Hashiro seen the anger in the elephants gaze, it was prepared to strike at any moment. Hashiro had no choice but to use the body flicker technique. His eyes were now tense with confidence as he stomp his right foot to the grown, pulled his right arm back and leaped about 16 feet across the field.

In motion, he grabbed the boy just before the elephant's trunk came slashing down, clutching the child safely under his right arm. Hashiro looked around to see where they landed, there were once again residents wondering around. It was safe to say that the two boys ended up on the other side of the zoo.

Hashiro wiped his right hand across his face, still not quite sure what had happened , he began taking deep breaths as he dropped the boy onto the ground. He stared down at the child, then somehow managed to create a slight smile before he began to speak.

"Phew ... That was close, you almost got yourself killed out their. It's best if you stick close to me before you venture off all by yourself."

The boy was safe, but Hashiro was pissed and also confused. They were on the other side of the zoo and there was no way he would cross over the field again, it would be placing the boy's life in danger. Now the goats were on the opposite side of the two, this was going to be a bit more stressful than it was supposed to be for Hashiro.

"Sigh.... this kid is too much work, I wanted to help out the zoo owner with the goats, but this boy is something else. It's best if I just let him get what he wants and leave this place safely, like we were originally supposed to."

the boy looked a little exausted, but yet still carefree as ever. Then Hashiro's expresion changed, he let his anger get to him, the tense air that was flowing threw his head allowed him to blurt out what came to mind. "Listen , I don't know how much more of this I can take, I'm not up for this baby sitting crap! So lets just get on with this and find you a pet already."

The childs lip trembled in fright as the guy yelled at him, having yet to realize he was in danger with the elephant. Suddenly he burst into tears, completely heart-broken by the shouts form Hashiro. He fell straight to the ground, hands over his eyes, and moaned in fright. He couldn't believe this shinobi, his new friend, had just gone off at him for no reason!

He rolled over and laid on his stomach, straight against the ground. What was he to do now?

Hashiro looked down at the now sobbing boy, he was a mess , Hashiro started feeling a little sorry for him and depressed, after all he was just a kid. Hashiro grabbed the child's right arm and brought him to his feet, the boy's clothing was a little dirty. Hashiro brushed him off, cleaning the dirt that was in the boy's hair and some off his shorts.

Hashiro took another deep breath, he wanted to fix this mess, the kid was all sobby and shaky."Listen kid, I'm sorry about what I just said to you, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, after all you were just having fun right ? My job is to ensure your safety and I need you to understand, I also want you to leave here with a smile on your face and so far I'm not doing so good at either. So how about I treat you to a warm bowl of ramen? So we can restart our journey and try things the right way "

Hashiro then pointed at a ramen shop just down the road from where they were standing, Hashiro then smiled at him, hoping that he would be forgiven.

The boy smiled at the suggestion of Ramen. Right, lets distract the boy you wanted to spend minimal time with, and make it so you had to spend even more time with him. Great idea.

The boy bounded onto his feet, and took off in a run towards the closest ramen stand, oh yeah, he was excited now.

Hashiro and the boy enjoyed a hot bowl of fresh Ramen, they were just about ready now to continue their search. Hashiro took a step into a crowded area not so far away from the Ramen shop, the boy quietly followed behind.

"So have you spotted any animals you might want to buy yet, or which interest you ?"

Contrary to Hashiro's belief, the boy didn't follow behind him quietly, the moment he finished his ramen, he jumped off the stool and rushed into the crowds, gleaming and shouting in excitement at the closest exhibit. Rhinos.

Great. More dangerous animals.

He looked around in excitement, "Hashiro! you see it! Its got such a huge horn!" He shouted.

Hashiro walked in disbelief in to the crowd, was this the same boy he had just dragged across an open field ? "Uh, yea I see them , just stay close this time, I don't want you getting hurt." The two boys ventured threw the crowd , drawing closer and closer to the large Rhino's cage."

Hashiro was feeling a little more at ease seeing as the Rhino's were tightly locked into a large cage.
