The lights flickered on around you, revealing two large white walls to your sides, which kept branching deeper and deeper into a maze, and a door shutting behind you. Over the loudspeaker a high pitched voice broke the silence. "Uh... testing, testing.... Alright, please look at the hallways directly in front of you." Looking that way would reveal a large red arrow pointing right at the cross way into the maze, and a green arrow pointing left. "Please try to find your way to the end of the maze, without using chakra. We will be watching you from the observation room above, good luck." And then there was silence again.

Neko's first mission.....Boy how he though it sucked big time, he was playing guinea pig to a team of researchers - BORING. He had arrived at the lab and was almost immediatley pushed into a his testing area. Geez, why did I have to get this mission, couldn't someone of else of gotten it Neko thought to himself as a loudspeaker broke the silence,
"Uh... testing, testing.... Alright, please look at the hallways directly in front of you." Neko 'obeyed' and looked at the hallways which revealed a large red arrow poitning right at the cross way into the maze, and a green arrow point left,
"Please try to find your way to the end of the maze, without using chakra. We will be watching you from the observation room above, good luck."

Great! I can't even use chakra, this blows big time Neko yelled inside his head as he gave a sigh of frustration before beggining his decent into the maze, walking past the red arrow he began to walk down a long stretch of white wall.

As he turned the corner, another set of arrows appeared at the end pf a short stretch. Red pointing left, Green pointing right.

Turning the corner, Neko found yet another set of arrows. Red and green, the red point left and green point right. Now, green normally means go or correct and red is normally wrong or stop...So, either the researchers went with the traditional colour meanings or they mixed them Neko thought to himself, not sure which way to go. Looking left then right, Neko saw that nothing much differed and so after a few minutes of debating his earlier thought he decided to try the green arrow and turned right and continued down the stretch of white wall.

As Neko turned to the green arrow, against his better judgment... Nothing really happened. End of the line, ran into a solid wall. Yeah. Maze should be pretty easy now, so lets finish the boring part.

Well that's one way to find out... Neko thought to himself as he turned around and went back to the two arrows, and followed the red arrow this time and followed the maze wall.

Neko would find himself at the end of the maze after following the wall, where a short man in a lab coat was there to greet him.

"Well done, well done. You almost did as well as Joe-joe, out monkey-test-subject, if not for that one mistake you made you would be tied." This was a more subtle way of saying he was as dumb as a monkey. "Now, follow me toward the next testing chamber will you?"

And with that, the short man walked off through the large double doors leading toward the next room.

Neko finally found himself at the end of the maze where he was greeted by a man in a lab coat who began to talk although Neko wasn't paying attention until he asked for him to follow to the next test chamber. Neko followed the man who went through a pair of large doors into another room and Neko awaited to be told what to do.

Neko would find himself in a large room, in the middle of which stood a small training dummy. It wasn't a normal dummy though. It was moving about as if it was human, and looked almost like it was preparing to fight. The walls of the room were heavily padded, aside from the back wall, which was safety glass for a large portion of it, allowing the scientists in the next room to watch, and a rubber mat was carpeting the ground.

The tiny man from before walked up beside the dummy and turned to face Neko. "For the next test you're going to be fighting Number 1.7 here. You don't have to win, just fight it and test it out. Feel free to use jutsu, etc etc. Good luck." After finishing his explanation the tiny man hurried over to the back door of the room. As it closed behind him, a small click could be heard coming from both sides of the room. Locking them in.

A fight? Now we're talking! Neko thought as the tiny man hurried to the back door and left him with the training dummy. No holding back, even if it is a dummy came a thought as Neko reached into a holster and pulled out a kunai and held it in a defensive stance.

"Let's go" Neko said and awaited for the dummy to attack to see how strong it is.

The dummy just stood there, moving about a bit using footwork resembling a boxers.

Suddenly, a voice came from a speaker in the corner of the room, "You're going to need to attack him first, so please initiate battle. Thank you."

"You're going to need to attack him first, so please initiate battle. Thank you." Came the voice, Geez....Fine were the words that crossed Neko's mind as he threw the kunai at the dummy before he began to form handseals and beams of wood began to emerge from his body, creating a wooden clone. The clone rushed forward preparing for a close combat fight and before reaching the dummy jumped in the air and swung it's leg around, aiming to kick it in the side of the head.

As Neko threw the kunai at the dummy, in a show of great reflexes, the Dummy snapped it's hand out and snatched it before it could hit him. As it did this a small ring that circled it's cylinder-like head changed colors from a light blue to a bright red. Reacting to the attack from the clone, the dummy smashed the kunai in it's hand into the leg of the clone, moving as if it was one fluid motion. After stopping the attack from the clone, the dummy pushed the clone back from it and rushed at it as it fell back. As the dummy sent out it's punch, it's knuckles turned a dark green.

Suddenly a high pitched voice came from the speakers. "Remember, you don't have to defeat the dummy." As this was announced, a small flag with a target on it raised out of the top of the dummy's head. "Simply destroying the target will suffice. Even if you lose will suffice. Good luck."

Now he tells me! Geez Neko thought as he watched the clone get destroyed and then a small flag appear out of the dummy's head. So destroy the target...Easy enough I guess Neko thought as he pulled out two shuriken and threw them one after the other towards the target, before pulling out another kunai and racing towards the dummy with the kunai in his right hand pointing forward working as a defense.

As the dummy's punch hit the clone, it suddenly started expanding until it exploded, sending wooden shards about the room. Though none of the shards hit anyone or did much, it gave an idea of what the dummy could do. After destroying the clone, the ring around the dummy's head turned blue.

However, soon after when the shuriken were sent toward it the ring turned red again. The dummy bent it's legs and sprang itself away from the incoming shuriken, sticking to the wall like a spider. The dummy's head turned around until it spotted Neko racing toward it. After that, it let out a low pitched hum and shot down to the ground and started racing toward the genin on it's own. The dummy turned it's body so it was throwing a kick at the oncoming genin, it's leg turning a bright blue in the process.

((OOC: if you didn't pick up what I meant before, you don't need to win. Even if you lose you pass, you just need to try.))

Is this dummy for real?! Neko cried in his mind as he witnessed the dummy escape from the shuriken and then begin it's attack on him. As the dummy turned to throw a kick, Neko jumped to the right and ended up rolling across the ground in order to dodge the kick and quickly pulling an exploding note from his pouch he wrapped it around the handle of the kunai and placed some chakra in it then threw it towards the target and then caused it to explode.

Chakra Kai is a simple jutsu used by Neko to activate his weapons and many other purposes. The user does a quick one handed hand seal and releases a bit of his chakra to activate seals, exploding tags, or whatever other purpose they wish.

AS Neko dodged the Dummy's attack, it's leg slammed into the wall. Around the area it hit a small crater formed, about the size of a golf ball. That was going to hurt if it hit. Seriously. It wouldn't kill you or anything like that, but it was going to sting in the morning.

Anyhow, the Dummy pulled it leg away from the wall, to witness Neko throwing a kunai with an exploding tag attached. The ring on it's head went lifeless, like it was shutting off. In the small room they were in there was really no way to dodge an explosion, an more importantly, there wasn't enough room for Neko himself to dodge really.

As the tag went off, a large part of the wall tumbled over on the Dummy, pinning it to the ground. A lot of the ceiling fell apart as well. Luckily for Neko, the exit had been left clear, and none of the rubble really landed near him. Well, aside from a small pebble that seemed to shoot at his cheek.

Oh yeah, and the small fire that started in that rubble. Might be a good idea to get out of there before you breath in the toxins from all that padding that's burning.
