Skipping stones

Chink, Chink.
"Darn, only two this time." She said, picking up another smoth, river polished stone. This one was blue, with a slight groove in the middle. It was like common quartz, milky, almost. She ran her thumb over it, which was smooth, as if water was still covering it. She drew back her hand, and chucked again.
Chink, Chink, Chink, Chink.
She smiled to herself. Four houses, a new record. She loved doing this, it gave her time to think, to be alone. Sometimes, she depressed herself, other times, she made herself very happy. Right now, she was making herself depressed, she hadn't been out in a long time, and also how stupid people in general are, how they beleive what they want to beleive. She was in the mood for company, and maybe some hot Ramen.
Chink, Chink, Chink.
The stone dissapeared after skimming on top of three roofs. She would never know why she found this so calming- but she did. Even when I feel bad or angry while I'm here, I'm always so calm.... It's strange. She thought, for a second not throwing stones. She studied the peoples faces, wondering how many were innocent, and how many were tainted. She shook that thought off, and resumed her throwing with a sigh.

Chink, Chink, Chink.
A gray riverbed rock shot up from behind the chuunin and skipped along the river for three steps until it sank. Looking behind, the chuunin would find a rather boyish looking teenager, almost an adult, with two colored goggles. The jounin was wearing a rather plain clothing. She wore a simple light blue shirt that reached down to her shins and was rather baggy on her slim frame. She also wore a vanilla colored shorts along with tobias. Around her waist was a white cloth with red Konohagakure symbol and around her neck was the Konoha headband.

The jounin had strangely colored odd eyes, blue and red, and had ridiculously long hair in which at the moment was tied in a high ponytail. Even so the end reached down to her knee. She held a light childish grin as she held another rock and was tossing in the air, catching it, and repeating it.
"Oi!"
She waved lightly as she smiled brightly at the chuunin.
"It's rather relaxing to skip rocks, isn't it?"
So she stated the obvious. Makoto had been watching the chuunin from the bank for a while and had decided to join her. For what, she couldn't figure out.
