Tousha couldn't help but feel a little proud of himself as he stared down at the massive village that stretched out before him for nearly as far as he could see. Every now and then he had one of those, "Wow, I'm the Hokage" moments that nearly knocked him flat on his ass. It was still hard for him to believe that this was his village, even four years after he had completed the kage exams and became the Nadaime; the seventh Hokage.
"Sir, a mister Takeshi Apollo is here to see you now." the small intercom on his desk informed him. The kage didn't take his eyes off of the village hidden in the leaves as he said, "Send him in, Mrs. Stevenson."

Apollo had walked into the office late in the afternoon. The sun would be setting, painting the sky beautiful oranges and purples. Apollo was in a grate mood this day and smiled under his respirator as he walked to the large desk of a rather young looking woman. He held out a sheet of paper with the proper credentials filled in. It stated that he was Takeshi, Apollo and that he had be invited by the Hokage. The woman just nodded. Apollo suspected that she knew about his clan and their vow of silence.
He watched her as she pressed a button and told the Hokage that he had a visitor. Apollo was a little nervous having only seen the Hokage on few occasions and with little said. Apollo knew that he would have to make an exception this time and talk. He swallowed hard as he heard the Hokage call him in. He turned to the door and looked at the lady one more time. "Stevenson" He thought to him self, "What a odd last name". He nodded to her and started to walk toward the doors. Light reflected off his black respirator as he walked in the doors. He stepped three feet into the room and stopped. He took a deep bow and then rose. When he rose he looked back at the Hokage. "I....I....I aaam Takeshi A...Apollo. The words came forced and the voice sounded like it came from a thousand year old corpse. He was not used to talking and it hurt his throat.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Tousha eyed the jounin as he walked into his quaint office, not at all surprised by the man's odd appearance. He had met Apollo on a handful of occasions and was fully aware of his clan's unusual habits. If anyone else had seen a man like this walk into their office they may have very well either bolted toward the nearest readily available weapon or simply out the door screaming like a little schoolgirl.
But instead of doing either of those things, Tousha flashed a welcoming grin and said, "It's good to see you again, Apollo. Don't worry about the introductions, my friend. I know how much of a pain it is for you to speak so I'll do enough talking for the both of us." After saying this he motioned towards the chair across from his desk and sat down in his own, awesomely luxurious laz-y boy recliner/swivel chair.
After spinning in this chair a couple of times the kage rested his elbows on the large, oak desk in front of him and held Apollo's steady gaze. The Hokage's bright green eyes didn't give away a single clue to what he was thinking, a habit he'd unintentionally picked up over the years. "Let's cut to the chase, shall we? I've been looking for shinobi with... unique talents." Tousha began explaining, a small smirk spreading across his lips as he said the word "unique." "I'm sure you're aware of the Guardians and what they do. To put it simply, I'd like it if you considered joining us."
With that the Hokage reached into a pocket on his olive drab flack jacket and produced a small square of fabric. He placed it on the table and slid it towards Apollo, his green eyes never leaving the jounin's for a moment. The piece of cloth was completely blank and uninteresting, except for the small crest that looked up at the jounin. Konoha's crest.
"Interested?"

Apollo's throat hurt badly after the brief introduction and he was glad that his Hokage would not make him keep talking. It was a welcome relief to say the least. He nodded when the kage told him to sit in a near by chair, and did so quickly but with grace. He sat in the chair with excellent posture and held the kage's gaze. It seemed powerful to him yet it held things back and only released a little. Apollo prided him self on being able to read those around him. He could not read his Hokage. This made him proud and a little annoyed.
Apollo listened closely to what the kage had to say. He knew a lot about the Guardians and he had always wanted to be involved in such a high task force such as them. He didn't like Anbu all that much, and the Guardians were more suited to his skills he did believe. He suspected that the conversation might of been about him joining, but when the kage pushed the square of cloth across the table he smiled and his heart rate sped a little.
Apollo looked up with a look in his eye that was undeniable. Yes he wanted to join with all of his being. His eyes were the only give away. On the surface he was calm and read. His palms were dry and steady as he slowly reached for the cloth. He nodded his head and thought "Yes Hokage. I am very much interested.

The kage watched as something sparked in Apollo's eyes once he understood why he had called him to his office this fine day. He couldn't help but smirk as Apollo shook his head yes and took the Guardian sash from the heavy oaken table.
"I'm glad to hear it." Tousha said with a cheerful grin plastered on his face, his expression entirely different than what it had been a moment ago. Even the air seemed to change in the room as Tousha slipped from seriousness to happiness flawlessly, it was almost as if an entirely different person was sitting across from Apollo. "Well, not really glad tohear it but you know what I mean. Welcome aboard, Apollo. If you have any questions you can... write them down or something."

Apollo felt lifted when the Hokage's facial expretion changed to a happy one. It ment that he was in a group of elite ninja that he had dreamed of being in since he was a little boy. He was one step closer to fullfilment of being a bannin. When the kage asked him if he had any questions he shook his head. Of course he did not have any questions. He was a Guardian now, what was there for him to ask. He just smiled, which the kage would notice do to the movement of his respirator and shook his head. He was really to happy to ask any questions.

Tousha nodded and said, "Alrighty then, you have yourself a pleasant day Apollo. Now if you don't mind, there's some paperwork with my name on it. Literally."

Apollo stood up and bowed deeply before walking out of the Hokage's office. He walked down the hallway with his great posture and just a little bit of a commanding step. He winked at the secretery as he passed her by and noticed the pink blush that rose to her cheeks. He secretly smiled to him self as he exited the building. That day was to be a good damn day.
