MISSION: Forbidden Lake Of Peace

You had nothing to work with but a butterfly net, a jar, and a picture of the butterfly. Several birds rested on the branches of trees surrounding the serene lake you were told to look at.

The trees were glistening with water as hours earlier it had ceased to rain and the trees sparkled beautifully. This touched Izaru's heart a bit until he refocused on his current objective, he was suppose to capture a rare butterfly that carried healing abilities and so he ventured forth into the lake of peace. "Just great, my first mission as a Genin and I get stuck having to capture some butterfly. Heh oh well its better than staying in the village and helping some old lady find her lost cat." Iza smirked a bit at the thought of his other genin friends stuck with that kind of mission and he reverted his eyes towards the direction the lake was located.

Izaru had always been fond of animals such as the local birds who would come to the flower shop in the morning and sing some of their songs. Iza found them quite enjoyable and over time could understand what the animals were saying, this was a trait he thought would be useful in the future and now it will come in handy when completing the mission. He slowly made his way past a few trees, trying not to make a sound so that in case the butterfly is nearby he doesn't scare it off. Moments later he saw a creature flapping its lovely wings on the branches about a meter away and to his surprise it was a butterfly. Iza quickly and quietly dropped his book bag and pulled out the picture to make sure it was the right one but unfortunately it had a similar shape but different colors than what he was looking for.

After being disappointed by his faulty mistake Iza ventured deeper into the forest until he stumbled upon the Forbidden Lake of Peace.

Into the forest you went, and when you finally found yourself at the lake, you were over-come with an aura of serene grace. It seemed this place was perfect for things like meditation and simply relaxing. You almost wanted to simply lay down and sleep, when you saw it, in the center of the lake, the beautiful butterfly rested on the waters surface.

Izaru viewed the lakes beautiful elegance and was amazed at the sight until he looked closer and could see a small butterfly at the center of the lake resting upon the surface of the water. Pulling out his picture and observing the two together he was able to confirm that this was the target that he was suppose to find and now the true mission begins. "Alright time to put my plan into action." Iza formed a few handseals and then the last one turned into a oval like position and it was clear that he was going to use the Mind Body Change Technique. After focusing on the target carefully he knew he had this in the bag, "O.K. now, Shintenshin no Jutsu!"

Shintenshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique originally used for spying. The ninja forms the needed handseals and then projects their spirit out of their body into their target. This can be another ninja or an animal. Unfortunately the spirit flies in a straight line at a slow speed. If the target moves and avoids the incoming spirit, the ninjas body falls lifeless until the spirit can find its way back to the body several minutes later. Because of the risk involved, the ninja must be very careful. When used in conjunction with a binding technique the chance of success greatly increases.

The butterfly didn't acknowledge you in the slightest, and was easily taken over by your jutsu. Now, how were you going to get it into the net, now that your body had collapsed onto the floor.
