Tsuki eyed the flowers, making sure they were fresh and had no indication of going bad any time soon – she checked the petals, leaves, and stem, making her pick with care and consideration. She wasn’t sad or nothing of that sort, no, she felt very at peace with everything now. With her life, with him, with everything past, present and future. She felt a supporting hand on her waist, grounding and warm, as she was lifting the flowers up to check. Tsuki smiled, and brought the selection to the clerk, carefully placing it on the counter. ”Thank you,” she said calmly, as her hand found his again. ”Let’s go?”
They left the shop together, falling into step seamlessly. Tsuki took one last check at the flowers, happy with her pick and decision. The road was a little longer, and she didn’t say it yet but they will have to enter the Hyuuga grounds. She wasn’t concerned about that at all. For all they know, she was the future mother of the next heir and with the so-called wedding, her position shifted, earning respect. Not the kind of fear, at least, not of her. Fabricated and unreal, constrained by hereditary chains. And yet, Tsuki didn’t really care because she chose to live her life. It will make a great story one day. Even though there were not many people in the streets at the time, most of them paying no mind to the dark haired couple, as they neared the outskirts, more eyes lingered on them, hushed whispers followed their trail. The rumors were there, she knew as much, pale eyes lifting to steel blue ones, finding the strength and confidence that helped put a smile to her face again.
Tsuki stopped by the Hyuuga gates but just for a short moment. ”Let’s go from the other side, I really don’t want to talk with any of them.” With that, she gently steered them further, rounding the corner of the wall, the black metal gates already visible in the distance.
