- Body: Lithe, 5'8", 170 lbs, toned from training. Yamato wears black trousers and wears a dark purple, almost black, collared shirt.
- Notable Features: Yamato has black tattoos covering his chest and arms and cannot talk due to having his vocal cords removed by an enemy shinobi. He sports a nasty scar across his throat and communicates instead through sign language.
- General: Yamato used to be a brash, hot headed shinobi before having his vocal cords removed during torture. After the event, he is a much more subdued person and is difficult to get to open up to.
- Hopes/Dreams: Yamato doesn't have a current dream in life; he's hoping to eventually become 'normal' again.
- Fears: After being tortured at the hands of an enemy shinobi, Yamato doesn't have much more to fear in life. He's undergone things which would've broken others and lived to see another day.
- Combat Mentality: Yamato shines when paired with a partner who can show off his abilities. Otherwise, he'll put space between himself and any aggressors and retreat somewhere safe.

Yamato is sensitive to vibrations in the ground and can automatically pinpoint the location of anything that is in contact with the ground within a 60-meter radius. While underwater, Yamato can still use his tremorsense by backtracking the vibrations that carry in water.
History Yamato was born with a unique body thanks to the genes of his parents reacting uniquely to one another. His father was a shinobi of Kumogakure with a noted proficiency in Jikiton and his mother was rumored to be connected to the families which had left Earth Country decades ago to form Lightning Country. The unique combination of their lineage produced the ability for Yamato to transform his physical shape into a piece of equipment, even at a young age. It was common for the young man to transform into a kunai and hide while his parents were frantic and searched for him as child.
Yamato relied on his ability even after entering the academy and was able to struggle his way through to becoming a professional shinobi. Once on a team, Yamato shined. His team mates were quick to his ability to adapt to whatever they needed on the fly and soon became confident and cocky. One mission led to the death of his team mates and his own capture and torture at the hands of a missing ninja. His absence lead to his higher ups believing he had sided with the ninja and killed them. The man was skilled at iijutsu and kept Yamato alive while also driving him to the brink of death. One of these procedures was the removal of his vocal cords after they had been screamed raw, leading to a jagged scar across his neck. Soon after, he was found after the locals had cooperated with Iwa shinobi. He was rescued by the foreign shinobi and placed into their hospital where he underwent physical and mental rehabilitation. The perceived abandonment he had undergone turned into rage when he found a minor bounty for himself in the bingo book. Wanted for team killing and allying with a missing ninja. The young man threw away any loyalties he had to them then and swore himself to his rescuers instead.
His story and abilities found their way to the top, the Tsuchikage himself. Yamato hadn't expected to meet Akari, Tatsuo on his doorstep one day and was even more surprised when the man began to speak to him in sign language with a simple question. 'Will you be my weapon?' Yamato was quick to jump on the chance and soon began to not only train with the man but also take up work as his second secretary alongside his wife, Natsumi.
