They can expand their limbs longer or larger depending on the need. This can be akin to a summons gigantism, however this can be targeted specifically to a limb or gigantism itself at the higher levels. This also effects the weight of their body parts making them heavier the larger they get. The expansion size and levels that can be achieved are based on their Endurance level, however even if a user has Arms & Legs & Torso, it does not mean they can expand their whole body for gigantism. It also takes up an ability slot. Katon has a passive ignition effect. Passive (Ignition)Show Katon's effect is ignition, which means that all katon jutsu, regardless of effect, start and spread fire from their source. Once a jutsu has been performed, the fire from the jutsu spreads at 1/3rd the speed of the technique, rounded down. That means a C-rank katon jutsu that moves at 13 speed would create subsequent fires that spread at 4 speed. These secondary fires require flammable material to continuously spread, otherwise they will burn out on their own. Additionally, Katon jutsu have a Burning effect, and burn anyone they come in contact with with [Control] strength.
Taijutsu	The fundamental skill of [Close Quarters Combat] indicates the user's proficiency to efficiently utilize martial arts and advanced combat moves involving the body, for example but not limited to, advanced kicks, grapples, advanced punches, etc. The fundamental skill of [Deft Hands] indicates the user’s proficiency with using their hands in very specific and complex movements, like sleight of hand and targeting very small and specific points on an opponent’s body. Born into the Akimichi Clan, Bamba was unusually large, even for an Akimichi. From a young age, he was fascinated by the strength of sumo wrestlers, drawn to the power and discipline they embodied. Unlike many in his clan who focused on traditional Akimichi combat styles, Bamba was determined to forge his own sumo-inspired path, blending traditional sumo wrestling with the clan’s Expansion Jutsu.

As an academy student, Bamba was larger than most of his classmates but he carried himself with humility and respect. He was never one to use his size to bully others, instead acting as a protector of those weaker than him. While his ninjutsu proficiency was only average outside of his Katon affinity, his physical prowess and dedication to taijutsu quickly earned him a top spot in his class.

Even at this stage, he experimented with expanding his limbs to mimic sumo strikes, developing the foundation of his unique Rikishi style. His instructors often noted that his combat style was unorthodox but incredibly effective, allowing him to overpower even older students.

After graduating, Bamba was placed in a well-balanced three-man squad, where he took on the role of the team’s shield and spear. He viewed his comrades as family and took on the responsibility of defending them at all costs.

During the Chūnin Exams, Bamba and his squad faced several skilled opponents but he never wavered. In the tournament rounds, he fought honorably, never resorting to underhanded tactics, and always sought to win through sheer skill and strength. In one notable match, he expanded both his arms in a defensive stance to shield his injured teammate from a powerful attack, holding his ground despite immense pressure and pain. This unwavering resolve and selflessness were key factors in his team’s success, and they all earned the rank of Chūnin together.

As a Chūnin, Bamba continued refining his Rikishi style, creating new techniques that maximized the power of his expanded body. His training became relentless—day and night, he honed his craft, developing devastating sumo techniques that few could match. One day, his clan elders saw him practicing this new style. They were incredibly impressed by his initiative and passion but they needed to put his style to the test. So they came to him and made him an offer. He would test his new style against the traditional body expansion style; if he won they would request he be made a Special Jonin as a reward for his achievement. He fought with pride and honor, demonstrating techniques no one in the clan had seen before. He overpowered fellow Akimichi warriors, outmaneuvered faster fighters by predicting their movements, and proved that his Rikishi style was more than just a novelty—it was a new way forward for his clan’s taijutsu. He had more than proved himself and shortly after he had been advanced to Special Jonin.

Now, Akimichi Bamba stands as a warrior unlike any before him. Though he has already achieved fame within his clan, he is not satisfied. His dream is to perfect his Rikishi style and some day pass it on to the following generations of Akimichis. Despite his success, he remains humble, upholding the honor of sumo and the Akimichi name. He views every battle as a test of will, respect, and perseverance, never underestimating an opponent and always fighting with dignity.

Beyond his strength as a shinobi, Akimichi Bamba is also renowned for another skill—his masterful cooking. Every year, on the anniversary of the Akimichi Clan’s commitment to Konoha, the clan holds a grand Food Festival, celebrating not just their contributions to the village but their belief in community, generosity, and the bonds formed over shared meals.

As Bamba developed his Katon affinity, he saw an opportunity to blend his love for food with his shinobi skills. Rather than focusing solely on combat applications, he honed his fire techniques for cooking, mastering the precise control needed for barbecue grilling, hotpots, and open-flame cooking. He became a standout at the festival, where he would put on dazzling displays of hibachi-style cooking, using quick bursts of controlled fire to sear meats perfectly, create roaring flames for grilled delicacies, and even roast entire boars with his clan’s signature seasoning.
