General Information Type: Clan
Village: Kirigakure no Sato
Size: Small 5 - 10 “families”
Traits: Kaguya all have white hair, something indicative of their disorder. Additionally, a byproduct of the treatment for their disorder are two permanent red bruises on their forehead
Traditions: The Kaguya clan are not genetically related. Unlike most clans, the Kaguya are linked through disease. This congenital disease causes the body to ossify over the course of a year after birth. The disease develops spontaneously in-utero, it is not genetically passed on, meaning it can occur in any child. The Kaguya clan developed the only known treatment for this disease; a secret chakra based treatment which has never been replicated. This treatment results in their pseudo-kekkei genkai, explained later on.
More importantly, however, is that the Kaguya refuse to use the treatment freely. The parents of any child born with the disease are approached by the clan leaders when word reaches them. Two options are presented, either: a) the parents forfeit the baby to the clan, allowing the infant to be treated but completely detaching them from their parentage and inducting them into the Kaguya clan, or b) the Kaguya will standby and allow the baby’s body to slowly and painfully turn to bone until they die. They offer this only to the residents of Kirigakure, and have never treated anyone outside the village.
The process causes the child to be sterile, completely removing the Kaguya’s ability to reproduce, practically requiring this process for their survival as a people. As such, it is not uncommon for clan members to simply kidnap children of parents who refuse treatment. The treatment leaves two large scars on the clan members forehead for their entire lives, which the clan covers with paint, two red circles outlined with black. You’ll never see a Kaguya without their traditional markings on.
Alongside their academy graduation, as becoming a shinobi is mandatory, Kaguya children are expected to perform their first kill. It's rumored that these criminals are chosen by the Headhunter Division, however any kill will do. The ceremonial killing is watched by the entire clan, and symbolizes the child’s passing from a child, to a warrior.
Kaguya households are more akin to military camps than homes. Children are taught to have discipline and endurance. Abuse is not an uncommon occurance within these para-military families and a blind eye is often turned for children in these families who retaliate against their abusers.

Public Execution Ritual – The Crimson Dance
Held in a blood-stained arena nicknamed The Marrow Pit, this event features a Kaguya warrior executing high-profile missing-nin or traitors using only their bone jutsu. It's choreographed almost like a performance, but real and deadly. Students from the Academy are required to attend to understand “the cost of betrayal” and to witness high-level taijutsu.
• VIP seating for clan heads and elite shinobi.
• A post-execution speech often delivered by the performer, celebrating their victim's strength—twisted version of honoring fallen warriors.
The Dance of Ten Bones – Annual Festival
A grand event held once a year where ten of the clan’s fiercest youth compete in a brutal tournament. No killing allowed, but breaking bones is expected. Crowd betting, food stalls, and drunken jōnin abound. The winner earns a bone-forged crown and the right to lead hunting parties for the next year.
The Blood Moon (Night of Crimson Honor)
Date: First full moon of spring
Tradition: All Kaguya shinobi go on sanctioned missions or private hunts.

• Sometimes a spontaneous brawl breaks out—“first blood gets first meat.”

History Before they joined Kirigakure, the Kaguya clan were wanderers. They wandered around the world, finding children born with their defect and abducting them from their families, incorporating them into their clan. Eventually, they were sought out by the Sandaime Mizukage, and a young man who claimed to be the head of a Kawazaiwa Family. The three brokered an arrangement between the village and the clan, the clan would move into Kirigakure, and they’d be offered protection for their lifestyle for the village.
The Kaguya joined the village, had a compound built, and were incorporated into the academy to begin creating bonafide shinobi. Since, they’ve proven to be extremely adept warriors, arguably the best in the village. They kept their noses out of most political notions, and held themselves as part of the village.
Shinobi Information Requirements: Only those afflicted with and treated for the genetic disease are allowed in the Kaguya Clan.
Kekkei Genkai:
Quote:Clan Jutsu All Clan Jutsu require the below [Bone Control] concentration.Death Bone Pulse
A byproduct of the treatment for a congenital disorder, Death Bone Pulse allows a Kaguya to consciously control their body’s ossification process as if it were a muscle. This enables them to grow, manipulate, and weaponize their bones at will—creating anything from weapons to armor to battlefield-altering constructs.
Techniques vary in style and complexity, blending raw physicality with intense chakra control. As a result, Kaguya jutsu scale primarily with Strength and Speed.
Quote:E-RankedBone Control

The sealing process is nearly instantaneous. The maw’s strength and sealing speed scale with Control. Forming at a [Control] speed.
