General Information Age: 13 Gender: Female Physical Features: Face/head: Some might see Rei as a pretty little thing, bright red hair and and blue eyes just like her father’s. Her skin is rather pale however, more like her mother’s, soft and flawless almost like porcelain. She has no scars on her face, so far anyway. Body: Her body is lithe and thin, a muscle build that’s less bulk and more lean, like a dancer’s form. She has no scars or tattoos of any kind, always seeking Iijutsu help when she gets hurt, just to make sure she doesn’t get any scars on her person. Notable Features: None Clothing/Accessories: Rei wears a simple white dress that goes to about her mid-thighs, sleeveless, and with a hood that comes up over her head. She wears dark grey leggings that come up just under her skirt with an elegant design at its highest point. Sometimes she’ll also wear a black sleeve that only covers her forearm and hand, similar to a long fingerless glove, on her right hand, along with an elegant wristband on her left wrist. Personality: General: Rei can have quite a temper. She often keeps to herself and her brother, not bothering herself with many others unless necessary for training her her shinobi life. She isn’t the type to just open up to someone or even like most girls with their little crushes. Her sole focus in life is her work. Hopes/Dreams: She hopes to surpass most certainly her mother, maybe even her father. She wants to work her way up the ladder of the Seven Swordsman to her father’s former position of overseer. Fears: Her only true fear is mental weakness and instability. She views suicide as cowardice and ever since her mother performed the act, she’s tried to separate herself from the woman in any way possible, to prove she isn’t so unstable as she. Combat Mentality: Much like her parents, Rei is a very in your face kind of fighter. She prefers to get up close and personal, to cause pain on her targets and seems to relish in the feel and sight of their blood.

Equipment:

Chikara is a katana that was gifted to Rei by her father just before his death. It measures 23 ½ inches in blade, and 8 inches in hilt. The blade and hilt are black and of a single piece with dark crimson red rope wrapped around the hilt for something to hold. At the guard there is a sharp point where the user might cut their thumb for particular techniques requiring blood. The blade appears to be decorated, deep swirling grooves running down the blade to its tip, grooves used for collecting the user’s blood, or the target’s blood, or both.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will spray water created from the inside of their chest through their mouth. Once the water is expelled, it will form an umbrella shape that is concave to the user and about two meters in diameter. This defense is somewhat solid and can be formed in any direction the user can spit, up to five meters away. The defense is shot at a speed of 5 and has a strength of 5 and unless completely destroyed it lasts for three posts before falling lifelessly to the ground.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a shuriken of water approximately 6 centimeters in diameter in their hand. When kai'd, this shuriken explodes with a force equal to a D-Rank explosion and covers the immediate area in water. If not consumed, this technique lasts for three posts.

*Suiton • Water Orb Technique

After performing the correct hand seals the user will form a dense ball of water approximately 6 centimeters in diameter in their hands. Upon lurching forward, they will release the ball towards an opponent up to 10 meters away at a speed of 6 and with a strength of 4.

After channeling chakra into their hands the user will fire two jets of water from their hand, essentially hurling and propelling themselves in the opposite direction of their jets as if thrown by a strength of 5.

After performing the correct hand seals the user will expel a 3 meter diameter sphere of water from their mouth at speed of 5 up to 10 meters away. Upon impact it will burst spilling all over the immediate area making it extremely slippery. Those without 5 taijutsu or higher will not be able to hold their footing on this wet spot and will slip around.

Doing a series of hand seals, the user will clap their hands together, using chakra to boost their cardiac performance, and increasing their speed by +3, however reducing their control by -3 for the 4 post duration of this technique.

*Blood Weapon

After performing the needed seals, the user will cause blood to break through their skin, forming a kunai in their hand. The kunai has 5 strength, and can be thrown. After impact, if falls into a pool of blood that can then be used for other attacks.

*Bold Clotting
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed seals, the user will place their hand over an open wound up to five inches wide and two inches deep. After channeling Chiton chakra for a full post, the user will form a superficial blood-clot covering over the wound to prevent further bloodflow from it. While this cover doesn't completely heal the wound, it allows the target's body to recover from the wound naturally without agitation.

*Bathed In
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed seals, the user will slather blood on their body. By concentrating Chiton chakra in the blood, the user thins it out, allow the user to spread it over a larger area on their body. As a result, the user will look much more wounded and bloodier as a means to trick the opponent.

*Venipuncture
D-Rank Ninjutsu
After performing the needed hand seals, the user will get a grip on their target, causing two needles from their palms to lash out into the target, pumping their blood into the target. Follow up techniques can be utilized with this jutsu to attack the opponent from the inside out.

Iaido Kenjutsu
Iaido Kenjutsu is a sword style originating from the Land of Tea that focuses on the fact that when first drawn, the linear motion and force of pulling a katana from its sheath are able to generate unusually fast slashes. Iaido capitalizes on this, it's samurai equally skilled in close range hand-to-hand fighting and then being able to switch to single fast slashes and stabs before returning to previous combat, making them unpredictable fighters.

Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu, 8 Speed
With the most widely recognized attack of Iaido style, the user draws their katana at a very quick speed, making a powerful slash in tangent with the draw. This technique is dependent on the user's overall reaction speed as it is usually only used when an opening presents itself or when the user needs to draw their sword quickly.

D-Rank Kenjutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 8 Speed
A technique developed out of need to protect himself from other weapon users, Block is simple in its use, but highly effective when used right. By partially drawing their sword, the user of this technique is able to use the back of their blade to block incoming weapon attacks should they time it correctly. The user must be careful when using this technique, should the attacker have a high enough strength, this technique could very well shatter the user's weapon.

*[Iaido • Hilt Strike]
D-Rank Kenjutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 8 Speed
A simple technique, Hilt Strike is designed for moments when the target is to close for the user to fully draw their sword. Gripping their hilt in a downward dagger position, the user will quickly draw their blade out as far as they can, and use the butt of the hilt to strike their target in an attempt to push them back and set them up for their other attacks.

D-Rank Kenjutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite: 8 Speed
A simple, yet very effective technique, Cutting The Eyes is a Line Draw aimed at the target's eyes. The user attempts to horizontally slash the target's eyes in order to remove their eyesight.

Prerequisite: 8 Speed
The technique is recognized by its signature stance of one hand just below the opening of the katana sheath and the other firmly on the sword. Drawing the sword in one swift motion, the user creates a horizontal or vertical slash in front of themselves before sheathing the sword, often chaining these strikes together for greater effect.

Kazuki Amaya was born the daughter of Kazuki Ryoga and Masami Ren, later taking on her husband’s name to become Kazuki Ren. Amaya has a twin brother, Ryu, to whom she grew very close to as the pair grew in age. They were inseperable, though Ryu was the first to pick up a blade, taking a chance to learn from his father. They were both young when they accompanied their parents to a festival in Iron Country, and it was during the festival that both twins were gifted blades from Ryoga, a gift to his children of his legacy, with their proud mother at his side.

But on the way home, tragedy struck. Their group was attacked and though Ryoga and others repelled the attackers, the man was mortally wounded. He’d had a parasite in his body that was supposed to make him immortal, but striking him in the heart would strike the queen parasite, it was a strike that took his body only a moment to register, and in sight of his wife and children, he died. He had been the Overseer of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist at the time. Not even months after he passed his wife tried to bury her grief and step into his shoes, a woman who had come up from nothing, from a slave, to join the Seven, but her love for Ryoga was too much. As her life spiraled out of control, she fell into a depression that soon ended in her suicide.

Amaya had been hurt enough at the death of her father, but her mother’s shame tore her apart. She quit going by her name and started going by ‘Rei’, rejecting all things that tied her to her mother, to include the name given to her by her. It was after these deaths that Rei swore to become better than her mother, to surpass her mother’s shame and restore honor to the Kazuki family by one day joining the Seven herself.

From there on she picked up a blade and set out on a journey. When her time at the Academy was through she moved on to become a Genin. Though she has yet to find a suitable rival for herself, she strives for strength and power in her father’s way, through blood and blade.

• Face/head: Black fur and red eyes, some silver fur around the eyes themselves and down the nose.
• Body: Black fur with a silver stripe down the back, fluffy tail with a silver tip. Slender body build.
• Notable Features: None, aside from the red eyes a fairly typical black fox.

Personality:

• General: At her core, Sakenomi is still a wild animal. Generally she’s calm and collected, playful only with those she trusts or when the whim might strike.
• Hopes/Dreams: The only hopes and dreams she has are those like other foxes, life, and family, in this case her family is less about species and more about trust.
• Fears: Loss of ‘family’.
• Combat Mentality: In combat, Sakenomi is all about the bloodshed and damage. She fights head on to try and cause as much damage and draw as much blood as possible.

Blood Sustainment By consuming the blood of her enemies, Sakenomi is able to heal herself, using her target’s blood to replenish her own. Taijutsu	Maw Using the jaw or maw to attack, the user is typically of canine descent such as dog, wolf, or fox. Styles with this concentration involve use of the jaw for their attacks and damage.
Genjutsu	Sight One of the easier senses to initiate genjutsu with, sight is used by channeling the chakra through the user, through another person, or through an object, to instigate the genjutsu. Common examples of this are eye contact, seeing the hand seals, seeing a specific weapon, or seeing an action. The intend target(s) must place their eyes on the initiator for at least a brief moment to be initiated.

After the owner forms the seals, the pet is able to gather Suiton Chakra in its mouth and spew it between two points no further than five feet apart. The Suiton will rest between the two points until someone steps into it at which point it will envelop the target’s feet at a strength of five and trips them, unless broken out of at a higher strength.

The user crouches slightly as if preparing to attack and draws the lips back in a snarl, revealing teeth. This stance is a preparation for other taijutsu attacks using the Maw/Jaw, revealing the teeth for use against the opponent. The purpose of this stance is to ready muscles and joints for follow up techniques.

The user moves from the ‘Threaten with Intent’ Stance to snap at any part of the target they can reach from this position, typically legs, ankles, or feet.

Once the owner performs the handseals, and upon seeing the animal snarl and snap to their right, the target will begin to hear snarling all around them, as if an entire pack of foxes are sneaking up on them, looking to attack.

History Sakenomi is a young black wolf pup with a particular ability. Exactly what caused it is unknown, by time she was discovered she was traveling alone in the outskirts of Kirigakure, alone. She has apparently lived alone for some time, an animal that doesn’t trust very easily. As a pup she was discovered by two shinobi of Kiri, two followers of Jashin who saw her as a sign from Jashin himself. But only one won over her loyalty, by willingly offering her blood on a regular basis, and taking her in not as a loyal servant of some kind, but by taking her in as some kind of animal sibling.
