Clothing/Accessories: Miyuki's style is more traditional now than it was as a teenager. Where as she used to dress more risque, now she's more modest. Wearing black tight to form above the knee shorts and a flared out navy blue tank top that has a scoop neck and a cut out V on both her abdomen and her back. The V reaches up to her bellybutton and mid back while the shirt falls at her full hips. Her shoes are the classic ninja sandals that blend with her leg warmers, both navy blue to match her top. She has black bands around her right arm and black fingerless gloves on both hands, she wears her kunai holster on her right leg and her tanto and katana on her left hip. To complete her look she wears one multi-chain earring made of silver and has two black and green chokers on her neck that are linked to her moon and star pendant.
Picture:
Personality:- General: In her day-to-day life, Miyuki is perceived as a happy person; always smiling or humming along to some tune in her head. In reality, she wears a variety of masks depending on who she's encountered. The death of her older twin siblings and the subsequent fall of her parents left a bitter hole in her chest. When her brother took off to make it safer for her, that feeling only intensified leaving her drowning in a sea of loneliness. Through learning the arts of infiltration Miyuki discovered she liked the use of masks and matching the people she was forced to interact with. However, because of how much she has been used and abandoned in her life, she was left with a deep cynicism. This paired with her unusually playful and joyful demeanor has made her a black sheep in Kiri, her only social skills being ones she was taught to get what she wanted and how to manipulate a situation in her favor.
- Hopes/Dreams: Miyuki wants to see all that the world has to offer and experience all the different ways of life and culture that there are. She wants to learn and absorb as much as she can so that she can be more helpful to those around her and provide comfort to those who have experienced her pain. The person she hopes to reach the most is her older brother Toru; she wants to become strong enough to prove to him that he doesn’t need to put himself in harms way to keep her safe. That he can just live life with her, and everything will be alright. Her eventual goal is to minimize the pain in his heart enough to bring back the carefree boy he locked away so long ago.
- Fears: Her greatest fear is losing what little stability she has in this world. She worries what would happen to her soul if she were to lose Toru, if she would be able to still be herself and live her life. Or if she would turn into her parents and stop trying. She would rather be buried with her siblings than live a half life without joy and love.
- Combat Mentality: Miyuki sticks to a more defensive way of fighting so that she can formulate a proper plan and follow it through in the most direct way with minimal chance of failure. Given her style and energy, she works best as a part of a team in a support role, though she can still succeed on her own, she prefers the company. She will follow the mission and complete the objective, not always in the most conventional way but that is part of why her record is almost flawless. Her adaptability and awareness on the battlefield make her unpredictable in how she’ll respond to aggressive situations. And her chipper eccentric demeanor in life makes her most suitable to undercover missions, providing her with a natural cover. Suffice it to say, she takes full advantage of the airheaded stereotype often held to her name, no matter how false it might be.

Abilities and ConcentrationsAbilities First Ability Curse of The Siren
In attempting to learn more and strengthen her skill with genjutsu, Miyuki tried a spiritual summoning to gain insight on how to refine her skills. The summoning went awry and she ended up making contact with The Siren. A treacherous manipulative spirit who was the cause of many suspicious deaths over the centuries, seemingly stable people suddenly becoming unstable and hysterical, taking their lives and continuing to feed her power. Being a skilled kunoichi is the only thing that saved her life, but it left her cursed with an unusual ability.
Miyuki takes a -3 to Chakra Pool as a consequence of the permanently active ability she's gained. Where she has learned to harness her emotional instability and use it to target others. Allowing her to manipulate, alter and essentially control their emotions and decisions with prolonged contact and a higher will power.
With this ability, Miyuki is able to curse or bless people with 3 specific feelings using specific triggers in conversations. These feelings can alter their decison making skills allowing Miyuki to manipulate the outcome of a conversation. This ability will have its own separate Genjutsu pyramid to achieve additional effects that are not permanently active and as cast as normal genjutsu known as Siren Song which uses touch, scent and sound initiation. For each active effect, Miyuki will take an additional -3 to chakra pool for the duration of the thread. This can be broken by being Kai'd, extreme pain and the target or Miyuki being on the brink of death.EffectsShowSirens Kiss
When Miyuki kisses a target(s) anywhere on the body, she is then able to manipulate their feelings to intense loyalty. Where she can project their acquiescence and protective nature to where she sees fit.
Sirens Compliance
Miyuki will hum or sing around a target(s) making her able to manipulate their feelings to feel more agreeable to her actions. Allowing her to move more freely without suspicion and apply other effects of her ability.
Sirens Comfort
When a target(s) get a whiff of Miyuki's enhanced pheromones granted by The Siren, the target(s) become soothed and comforted in a conversation. Removing all hostile feelings and creating a softer engaging conversation.
At +3 difference the target(s) will feel lesser forms of the intended emotions which will give cause for their decisions to be uncertain at best. At +5 difference the target(s) will feel the full effect of the intended emotions which will give cause for their decisions to be fully influenced. The greater the difference, the stronger the effect will be. Unless the effect is broken, the changes are considered permanent.Second Ability Third Ability Concentrations Ninjutsu Sensory:
Sensor
Sensors are shinobi who are able to activate a sixth sense which can locate and read chakra sources. JutsuNinjutsuShow*[Sensory Style • Beyond Senses]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: 10 Control
First performing handseals, this sensor jutsu is used by shinobi to feel chakra sources within a radius of 35 meters. While this jutsu is fairly helpful in sensing chakra, it is unable to actually pinpoint specific chakras outside of a 10m radius. This only gives the Shinobi an idea of how many entities with chakra are present in their general area.
[Sensory Style • Evaluation]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: *[Sensory Style • Beyond Senses]
The sensor will activate their sensory jutsu, and then channel additional chakra. By doing so, the user will be able to compare the “strength” of each source of chakra they are able to sense to each other. The “strength” of the individual is determined by the average of each person’s Chakra Pool, Control and Strength stats. The user can determine who has more chakra strength than others, allowing them to pick out possible risks. This technique is not very reliable as a determining factor, however.
*[Sensory Style • Broad Sense]
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Prerequisites: *[Sensory Style • Beyond Senses], 20 Control
This jutsu is an extension of [Beyond Senses].After initiating this jutsu with handseals, a sensor can focus on individual chakra signatures to get a precise idea of where their opponents are at up to 25 meters. A general sense of the direction and number of chakra sources can be determined at up to 75 meters away. It should be noted that this jutsu requires intense concentration, often making the user shut their eyes so they can focus on the jutsu solely. Even with high levels of Chakra Control, this jutsu can be mentally taxing as it requires the user to sort through the individual chakra sources in the sensor’s range.KūgāpouShow*Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Soft Paws is a bare-handed deflection technique and is used against bladed weapons. At this level, the practitioner is able to read the angles of the attacks to place the flat of their hand against the flat of the blade and push it away without getting cut by the weapon. However, prolonged use of this technique will cause the practitioner to suffer bruises on their hands.
*Kūgāpou • Soft Elbow
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
After using Soft Paws to slap a blade away, the practitioner will continue moving forwards while jutting out their elbow. The momentum from the target's original attack that was slapped away, coupled with the sudden defenselessness of the target after having their attack deflected, makes for a powerful counter-attack. The elbow can be aimed anywhere on the torso and above, but is usually aimed at the target's face.
*Kūgāpou • Down Paw
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever a bladed weapon is coming towards the practitioner, they can slam their palm against the top of the blade, pushing it downwards. This can either cause the sword to miss or, if the practitioner's Strength is equal to or higher than the Strength of the attack, can force the sword into the ground. This technique only works on blades that aren't double-edged.
*Kūgāpou • Down Rush
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Down Paw
After using Down Paw to drive the opponent’s blade downward or into the ground, the practitioner will rush forward and ram their shoulder into the opponent, driving them back and away from their weapon or even taking the weapon from them outright.
*Kūgāpou • Slight Dodge
D-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Whenever in a situation where they can't avoid being struck, the practitioner will slightly shift their body. This slight movement allows them to cause the incoming attack to miss any vital organs and cause as little damage as possible.
*Kūgāpou • Quick Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Useful for dealing with an opponent using a short weapon, such as a kunai, knife, or dagger, the practitioner waits for the opponent to attack. Taking advantage of the small size of the weapon, the practitioner then aims a slap or a punch at the opponent's fingers, aiming to simultaneously push the weapon off its trajectory and damage or even crush the opponent's fingers.
*Kūgāpou • Leveraged Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner will sidestep a weapon attack against them and attempt to disarm the opponent. They will grab and pull the weapon on a safe or dull spot before simultaneously slamming the other palm into the opponent's wrist. If the opponent has a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique, they can resist being disarmed. Otherwise, the weapon is ripped from the opponent's grasp and their hand is knocked away. Their wrist will swell from the impact, making handling weapons in that hand difficult if the wrist isn't outright broken due to the practitioner having a higher Strength than the opponent.
*Kūgāpou • Hunter's Prediction
C-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
By observing a weapon's movement through the air and having a deep understanding of weaponry in general, the practitioner is capable of predicting a weapon's trajectory. This technique is especially effective when the practitioner saw the actual moment the weapon was launched, as seeing the movement of the weapon wielder provides crucial information. If they didn't see the weapon being launched, they can still predict the trajectory to a smaller degree but are incapable of accounting for high-level taijutsu that may be applied to the weapon attack.
*Kūgāpou • Spun Fang
C-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Ducking under an attack from either side, the practitioner lifts their off-hand just enough to touch the weapon against its side and shove it outward, adding to its momentum to either imbalance the opponent or disarm them. As the practitioner comes up from under the attack, they will aim a direct punch at the opponent's face or chest.
*Kūgāpou • Calculated Paw
B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Soft Paw
When fighting multiple enemies, the user has learned to use Soft Paw as more than just an evasive technique. When a bladed weapon is incoming, they perform a very calculated Soft Paw which allows them to change the trajectory of the bladed weapon to where they desire. Meaning that they are able to not only avoid the strike, but aim it elsewhere so that it may go on to strike other people around them, or perhaps to do some other beneficial action.
*Kūgāpou • Rapid Paw
B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
When dealing with projectile weapons, the practitioner pushes their reflexes and their physical abilities to the limit. The practitioner attempts to rapidly catch the incoming projectile weapons, grabbing them where they will not hurt them. If successful, they can either keep the weapons for future use or they may simply move the weapons so that they're no longer a threat.
*Kūgāpou • Return Fang
B-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Intercepting an opponent's weapon attack, the practitioner will catch the opponent's hands in their own, turning the direction of the weapon back towards the target and impaling them with it. Opponents with a Rigid Structure technique of equal or higher rank than this technique can resist having their weapon turned on them.
*Kūgāpou • Sly Paw
A-Ranked Taijutsu Maneuver
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Rapid Paw
When dealing with projectile weapons, the practitioner may use this technique as a counter or simply as a defense when there are too many projectiles to defend against with Rapid Paw. By rapidly swatting at the incoming projectiles just enough to alter their trajectories, the practitioner can defend against multiple weapons. Each time the practitioner hits these weapons, they may alter their trajectories in very specific ways, allowing them slight control over their new angles so that they may actually help the practitioner instead of hurting them.
*Kūgāpou • Multiply Fang
A-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Requirement: *Kūgāpou • Sly Paw & *Kūgāpou • Spun Fang
Having come so close to the pinnacle of the style, the practitioner has trained themselves to apply multiple techniques of Kūgāpou when fighting multiple foes. They may take up a position among multiple opponents in which they are able to push away projectiles or other weapons as they fight, reacting on instinct to stay alive. This technique also allows the practitioner to fully stop and negate weapon attacks launched at them if their Strength is equal or higher than the Strength of the attack in question.Silent Hunter StyleShowQuote:
[Vigilance][Silent Hunter]
The Silent Hunter style originated as a series of silent fighting techniques developed by Commander Karagata Shiv of Kirigakure's Head Hunter Division, further applied by Overseer Kaikyo Kohon of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, and finally revised and reimagined by Aisu Naohiro to become an expansive doctrine of techniques essential to any eager Head Hunter to aid in infiltration, tracking, and assassination.
Requires: [Stealth] & [Perception]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user maintains a constant state of vigilance with respect to their immediate surroundings and all persons in their vicinity. This allows the user to effortlessly identify and recall the environment, obstructions, and structures around them to passively recognise entry and escape routes, vantage points, probable sources of cover, and so forth. Additionally, the user can quickly recognise and differentiate civilians from trained (D-rank or higher) persons, such as by analysing gait, body structure, reactions, deftness, and the target's awareness.
[Anaerobics]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Following dedicated training, the user is capable of moving and fighting for extended periods without breathing to minimise noise or avoid inhalation. The user can hold their breath for twice the usual amount of time without hindering their own abilities or actions.
[Breathe and Listen]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user takes a deep breath and focuses their hearing on all the sounds in their vicinity, and is able to pick up on the sounds of movement within 15 metres of their position. They can accurately identify noises and the source, such as footsteps, the rustle of clothing, breathing, or the drawing of weapons. Areas with loud noises or crowds, or targets with specialised techniques to mask their sounds, can throw off the accuracy of this technique.
[Just Listen]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Any time the user is moving, they have trained themselves to be attuned to the sound of people moving. This passive technique allows the user to accurately pinpoint targets within 30 metres of their location, and can differentiate the sounds of multiple people to separate targets and determine how many people are in a given area even if they can’t see them.
[Featherstep]
C-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The user has learned to move in a particular way to lighten the tread of their feet and with carefully placed steps. This allows the user to move without leaving any visible trail to all but the most experienced of trackers, eliminating obvious environmental disturbances and signs such as footprints, scuffs, displaced dirt, and so on. The lightfooted nature of this stance imparts a +6 to Speed at the cost of -6 to Strength as the user primes their muscles for swift and gentle movement rather than power.
[Projectile Whistles]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has attuned their hearing to the sound of things moving through the air within 30 metres of their person. This allows them to hear projectiles flying at them from a general location, even if they can’t see the source.
[Target Read]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned to accurately gauge their own speed and strength compared to that of a target, allowing them to determine a fairly accurate estimate as to how fast a target is moving or could potentially move, or how strong a target may be. This can help the user read their opponent's potential and better predict the flow of combat.
[Analyse]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned to attune their hearing to target desired, specific sources of sound, and effectively block out all other distractions. This allows them to focus on individual targets or sounds, for example being able to pick out one conversation within a busy room, or identify one set of footsteps from among many. When focusing on a particular sound, the user can effortlessly interpret its characteristics to learn details about the source. For example, analysing the sound of footsteps can reveal the weight, size, or speed of a target, while hearing the rustle of movement could reveal the presence of armour, weapons, or other worn materials, and hearing the sound of weapons or projectiles can inform the user about the type, size, speed or strength of the weapons in use.
[Argus]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has trained their vision to accurately pick up on and interpret details even through darkness or dense visual obstructions. This technique allows the user to see clearly through shadows, darkness, or semi-transparent media such as water, ice, smoke, mist, dust, heat shimmers, and other airbourne particulate or visual disturbances out to a distance of 60 metres.
[Target Speed]
B-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
The user strikes with pinpoint accuracy at the correct pressure points or muscle groups on an opponent's body that can effectively debilitate their speed. When struck, the opponent suffers a shock throughout their body and a sudden loss of mobility, manifesting as a -6 to Speed for the next five posts. This technique can be applied using a thrown weapon, however doing so from range lowers the potency of the strike and only imparts a -3 penalty to Speed instead.
[Target Strength]
B-Rank Taijutsu Manoeuvre
The user strikes with pinpoint accuracy at the correct pressure points or muscle groups on an opponent's body that can effectively debilitate their strength. When struck, the opponent suffers a shock throughout their body and a sudden loss of vigour, manifesting as a -6 to Strength for the next five posts. This technique can be applied using a thrown weapon, however doing so from range lowers the potency of the strike and only imparts a -3 penalty to Strength instead.
[Heartbeat]
A-Tank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has attuned their hearing to the sound of heartbeats. This allows them to accurately locate and track anything with a heartbeat within 50 metres of their person, and filter the sound of heartbeats out from other surrounding noises and distractions regardless of environment.
[Precision Aim]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has studied anatomy to the extent that they can passively apply that knowledge to their strikes and aim in the heat of combat. This allows the user to identify and exploit opportunities for pinpoint attacks to cause severe internal damage to a target, such as breaking bones, rupturing organs, slicing muscles and tendons, and so forth. This technique aids the user in spotting weak points in the armour or guard of a target and deliving precision attacks in those areas to bypass physical defences and strike the body beneath.
[Ghoststep]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Featherstep] or *Fuuton • Wind Skating
The user has learned to move with exceptional care and finesse, lightening the tread of their feet and stepping with extreme care or by marginally levitating their feet with a subconscious application of fuuton chakra. This allows the user to move without detriment while eliminating all traces of their passing, leaving no physical sign. Additionally, the user can move as normal without triggering physical traps such as pressure plates or tripwires. If moving via fuuton, the swirling chakra additionally scours away any scent left behind by the user. If moving via careful physical steps, the user leaves no residue of chakra use. The lightfooted nature of this stance can impart a boost to speed of up to +12, at the cost of a corresponding debuff to Strength as the user primes their muscles for swift and gentle movement rather than power.
[Instant Strike]
A-Rank Nintaijutsu Manoeuvre
The user prepares an attack or action before priming their muscles and surging forward in an instantaneous, chakra-assisted movement towards or away from a target within 50 metres, which consumes one of the user's two available teleport movements per thread. This allows the user to jump forward and deliver a lightning-fast series of strikes to a target without any perceivable precursor motion, or to attack a target already in range and then instaneously move away to a safe location by identifying an object within range that is at least 1/5th the user's size while preparing the technique. An object used in this manner must be solid and must not already be imbued with foreign chakra. The user can perform up to [Base Speed/10] strikes as part of this technique, performed at up to +12 Speed, but the focus on rapid motion leaves the user unprepared to guard and thus a corresponding Endurance debuff for the duration of the strike.
[Coverage]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned how to make the most effective use of their environment to avoid being seen and detected. This allows the user to effectively conceal themselves and blend into an environment with minimal effort, increasing their effectiveness at hiding in mist, water, ice, foliage, behind terrain, and so forth.
[Venator]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Keen eyes and a wealth of tracking experience allows the user to easily identify and track all manner of targets over extreme distances, regardless of terrain type or method of travel. The practitioner can subconsciouly pick up on signs such as disturbed foliage, footprints, and environmental disturbances, and can accurately determine their age, source, and direction of travel by their condition. The user can accurately pick out individuals from many different traces and determine the number of companions or accomplaces with the target.
[Quiescence]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned to move in total silence, and does not produce any sound when moving through any means. They cannot be heard unless a person listening for them has a specialized hearing technique of equal or higher rank.
[Reaper]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has trained themselves to become perfectly attuned to all manner of sounds in a wide vicinity of their person, and can focus their hearing to up to 150 metres to identify and track targets. This passive technique allows the practitioner to accurately identify and differentiate people, animals, and all sources of noise within 50 metres of their person, even in the face of loud complicated distractions, noise, or interference. Over 50 metres, the accuracy of the technique suffers slightly and hearing at such an extent requires fewer distractions. Over 100 metres, the user requires silence in their immediate vicinity and can only gauge an approximate direction, distance, and quantity of noise sources, but can still identify the type of creature. The maximum range of this technique is 150 metres. Additionally, the user has learned to interpret vibrations through the ground as a rudimentary tremorsense, and is able to accurately track sources of movement through vibrations within 50 metres of their location.
[Chemosensory]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has achieved exceptional proficiency in identifying and interpreting different tastes and scents, and can recall previously encountered tastes and scents with remarkable accuracy from a mental catalogue of sources. This allows the user to detect trace amounts of scent even from minute sources, such as from a blade of grass that touched the leg of a fleeing target, from old footprints, or traces of scent on the wind over great distances. Additionally, the user's knowledge of scents and tastes allows them to accurately determine the origin and age of a source, and with multiple sources can effectively determine a direction and speed of travel.
[Blurred Movement]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Having undertaken intensive training sessions to drill the body into extreme high speed movement, the user has mastered a method of moving and fighting which makes their motions highly confusing to an opponent. This causes the user's movements and attacks to become extremely blurred and impossible to see or follow for anyone without a visual perception technique of equal or higher rank. Even those with such a technique will find it harder to determine the user's attack patterns or where they are aiming to strike.IaidoShowThe samurai of the Land of Tea have produced a unique style of Kenjutsu called Iaido. Unlike other styles, which rely on the sword being drawn to attack, a practitioner of Iaido is always ready to attack their opponents, even when their weapon is sheathed in its scabbard. Known as a "sword drawing" technique, Iaido uses the smooth, linear motion of pulling the sword from its sheath to create abnormally fast slashes and strikes against often ignorant and unsuspecting opponents. Though the katana is preferred for this style, any curved sword single-edged sword with a complimenting scabbard is compatible with this style. Their ability to fight with both traditional swordplay and hand-to-hand combat while perfectly capable of switching to quick slashes and stabs using Iaido's hallmark techniques makes practitioners of this style unpredictable fighters.
Requires: [Sword Weapons], [Perception] Concentrations.
*[Iaido • Ancestral Focus]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The hallmark of Iaido is its practitioners abilities to launch an attack even when their swords are sheathed. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to consistently execute a sword draw and slash all in one movement by gripping the edge of the scabbard and pulling the scabbard slightly forward before drawing the sword. This Discipline enables the practitioner to immediately draw their sword and attack at the start of combat.
*[Iaido • Ambidexterity]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize both hands equally and as effectively without any penalty. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.
**[Iaido • One with the Sheath]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 8 Speed.
The practitioner has learned how to more quickly and efficiently sheath his blades. The practitioner can now seamlessly transition from drawing their blade to slash to sheathing their blade, allowing the practitioner to sheath their sword in half the time, up to a maximum speed equal to their Speed score, for the more rapid execution of Iaido techniques.
*[Iaido • Clouding Eyes]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Speed.
A simple technique meant to cripple the target's vision, the practitioner draws the sword from its scabbard and aims a quick slash at the eyes. This technique can be done in any single direction to either target one or both of the opponent's eyes.
*[Iaido • Last Breath]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The most iconic (and most basic) strike of Iaido, the practitioner quickly draws and cuts with their blade in a wide arc in one fluid motion. This simultaneous draw and attack straight from the scabbard makes Iaido well-suited for an initial surprise attack and for taking advantage of openings presented by the opponent.
*[Iaido • Death’s Gate]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 15 Speed.
Drawing upon the superlative speed of Iaido, the practitioner momentarily torques the muscles in their body to draw their sword from its scabbard and deliver a blindingly fast slash before sheathing their blade. Properly reading this attack requires the opponent to have a Perception technique of equal or higher rank than this technique. Otherwise, they cannot accurately read the attack and will be unlikely to completely avoid the attack, if at all.GenjutsuShow*[Genjutsu • Pins and Needles]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
After performing the hand seals and pricking the opponent with some sort of small weapon (usually senbon), the opponent feels their arms and legs fall asleep. It feels as if the blood flow to these appendages has basically stopped, making their movements a tad sluggish and just all around uncomfortable. This jutsu doesn’t really hinder a person, but it makes everything they do feel off. For those who are attuned to the way their body feels during battle, it can be extremely distracting. Lasts 3 posts.
*[Genjutsu • Paranoid]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then whistle. Anyone who hears the whistle will be captured in this genjutsu. For the following 4 posts, the target will see a shadow in the corner of their eyes, constantly shifting out of view when they attempt to look at it.
*[Genjutsu • Boom!]
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then within the next post, snap their fingers. Anyone who hears the snapping will hear an explosion in the distance behind them. This works as an effective distraction, or a scare tactic, if properly utilized.
*[Genjutsu • Doubt]
C-Ranked Status Genjutsu
The user will do a series of hand seals, then whistle, initiating the genjutsu in anyone who hears the whistle. For the next three posts, the victims of this technique will feel tinges of doubt when listening to other people talk. While the doubt isn't strong, it creates a slight feeling that can be used to dissuade them from following instructions of other people if utilized properly.
*[Genjutsu • Reverse Hypnosis]
C-Ranked Status Genjutsu
This is a three post genjutsu. To start the genjutsu, the ninja does the hand seals that are needed and then places a hand on the target. Until the genjutsu ends the target is able to remember a lot more about their past and has a lighter barrier over their consciousness making it easier for them to spill information. This doesn’t weaken their will, however, meaning if they are aware it’s a genjutsu, they are more than capable of using Kai.
*[Genjutsu • Calm]
B-Ranked Warp Genjutsu
The user does the needed hand seals, and then breaths out, expelling their breath onto their target. If successful, a 4 post long genjutsu will begin on the target. Over the course of the genjutsu, the target won't be able to feel any wind, and if it's raining, the rain will appear and feel like a light drizzle, regardless of how intense it really it. The target will also feel a sense of calm course through their body, as if all their senses have been slightly dulled, usually causing them to relax, be less stressed, and less inclined to combat. Originally created for the use of execution in combative prisoners, the technique now proves to be an effective method in combat to regain control of the battle field.
HistoryHistorical AccountsShowEver since Miyuki was born the world had tried to make her conform, be less than who she was and succumb to the hardships in life, suffice it to say that didn’t exactly work. She was always a happy and eccentric child, full of smiles and laughter. But from her upbringing she learned the value of hard work and dedication to the job, whatever that job may be. And through that dedication she learned how to be present and compartmentalize her feelings, especially when life got hard and didn’t make sense. She was the youngest of four children and out of those four only two survived, Miyuki and her oldest brother Toru. When she was merely 6 years old, her older siblings Ginta and Raya contracted a sickness that lead to long feverish nights and eventually a very cold end. Since she was so young, she didn’t fully understand what had happened, and as she entered the shinobi world she would learn that death was just another part of life. The only lesson that really stuck with her, was that death changes people. It changed her brother, who became less care-free and more protective, it changed her parents who smiled less and worked harder; only coming home to sleep and cook dinner. And it changed her, leaving her world lonelier than it was before, to grow up with questions she knew she couldn’t ask and feelings she knew she couldn’t speak of. Alone with parents who would rather be anywhere else, who weren’t there, and a brother who should have been home but who was to hell bent on making the world safer for the only sibling he had left.
Her family, loyal to the Muramasa’s, worked hard doing manual labour. Building houses and bridges. The work was hard, and they all worked together when life allowed, but it paid off, to see what their hard work created. New homes for new families, new ways of transportation to create more community and easier travel. Miyuki was raised to be a labourer and until her brother started coming home with more stories about the world, that’s all she had ever imagined for herself. When one day, he came home telling a story about a new technique he had learned on the road from a Kirigakure shinobi that was escorting him on his travels, shooting fire from his mouth and through his hands: without being burned. He had informed his family he had applied to the Muramasa’s with the support of the shinobi who taught him to be inducted and sponsored into the Academy to learn how to harness his abilities. To Miyuki it sounded impossible, she knew about the shinobi and what they could do, but to think of her brother as someone who could perform ninjutsu and go on these dangerous missions terrified and excited Miyuki. What would she do if he got hurt? How would she cope being completely alone? What if she was the last child in her family and she never experienced what the real world was like? What would Ginta and Raya do? So many questions and so many feelings, the only thing that felt right was following in her brother’s footsteps, doing for him what he’d always done for her and experiencing the world that her other siblings could no longer see. Finding peace in the fact that perhaps she could be more good in the world than there was bad. In making the decision to enroll at the academy, Miyuki discovered something about herself; there was always something to be grateful for and work towards. There was always some sort of joy in life, and she could accept the way that the world worked and the cards that it dealt out, as long as she wasn’t just a spectator in it.
Upon Toru’s graduation, the family was moved into the shinobi caste from the merchant caste. Just in time for Miyuki to enter the 3rd academy at 10 years old. She knew she was as different from the other young shinobi as she had been from everyone else in the village growing up. Her calmly joyful demeanor set her apart from everyone else, made her an easy target in the otherwise cold classrooms and on the training fields. It’s not that she didn’t get along with the other students, it’s just that she got the impression that they didn’t like her. Especially Raigeki Kyoto, he really didn’t like her, and he made no effort to hide it. From what Miyuki could tell the only difference between her and Kyoto was their attitude, that and he was an only child in his family. His parents were loyal to the Karagata’s, they were boat makers, incredibly skilled ones in Miyuki’s opinion. Their families typically never crossed paths unless Toru decided to float around the village and help whoever needed it in his down time. But no matter how hard she tried to talk it out with Kyoto, it just made him work that much harder against her. He constantly put Miyuki down for how hard she worked both in and out of the academy, and whenever it came time to spar, he would pick her even though they were on different levels. Class time and trainings were a nightmare, and the attacks against her were steadily becoming more personal. What was seemingly random harassment in the beginning quickly became targeted bullying. Nothing was off limits to Kyoto; it ranged from how often she smiled and her personality to her dead siblings and absentee parents. Their sparring sessions looked more like actual brawls than training. And the more she kept her head down, the more he tried to keep her down entirely, his cruelty never receding. Every chance Kyoto got to surpass or humiliate her, he took it without hesitation. For no other reason in her mind except for the fact that he could.
Before graduating the academy, Miyuki and her classmates were taken to a forest on the outskirts of Kirigakure for the final selection examination. They were told they needed to behead someone and bring it back to the proctor. It could be a fellow classmate, slave or criminal that had been released into the forest. No one was off limits or considered safe. This made Miyuki very uneasy, she knew it would be part of her job, but this seemed less like the work of a ninja and more like blood for sport. It was her duty none the less, and she was determined to succeed. Her only creed through the selection was to not target her classmates…and avoid becoming a target if she could. She hoped Kyoto felt similarly and wouldn’t be hunting her as he had done at the Academy. Miyuki stuck to the treetops, tracking criminals as that was the only option that felt commendable in her mind. Silently stalking her prey over the course of an hour, she finally got her chance when a young man with a katana tried to cross a bridge outside of the examination zone. She dropped from the treetop throwing a wave of shuriken down and landed on his back. Toppling down together to the ground she had her kunai in hand and thrust it into his neck, spraying blood all over her face and upper body. Once he stopped twitching as the light left his eyes, came the squeamish part. She drew the sword on her back and in an adrenaline-fueled panic started hacking away at his neck. A few minutes later she realized she had been crying the whole time, and only stopped when her sword kept hitting the ground instead of flesh. Miyuki felt a calm numbness settle over her as she picked up the head and returned to the tent where the proctor resided. She dropped the head on the table, herself quite the sight covered in muck and blood. She had proven herself a true Shinobi today, and she was one step closer to becoming a full-fledged ninja.
Miyuki spent three years as a Genin, training with Kyoto. Trying to hone her skills and grow alongside him, seemingly to never quite catch up. She had found her shinobi niche while training with him and using her brother’s experience to her advantage, excelling in taijutsu, genjutsu and ninpou, while her teammate focused on suiton and sword mastery. Over the last three years she thought that Kyoto was warming up to her. He still picked on her and was still very mean, especially when Miyuki was overly flamboyant, but after their first year together as a team their sparring looked like actual training, and they worked smoothly as a pair. Miyuki was hopeful that they would continue this way, never stopping to think that everything might change. Missions got easier and more manageable, proving to be less challenging as the years went on.
It was just after Miyuki’s 16th birthday that they decided to take the Chunin exams and test their skills as ninja. And of course, Kyoto would be Miyuki’s opponent, her long-time rival turned teammate. When the battle was announced she was suddenly faced with the same boy that she knew in the beginning, her begrudging partner had disappeared, and his hostile cruel alter ego returned. For the first time in a long time, Miyuki was afraid to fight him. Where she had always been behind in physical strength, Kyoto was ahead of the game. He was fit and toned, incredibly strong for a 15-year-old Genin, and thanks to his skill with a sword he was quick. That made him even more dangerous to someone like Miyuki. It was clear from the look in his eyes that Kyoto was not only out to win but to prove something. Having a true battle with her teammate was drastically different from the years before, he attacked with a tenacity Miyuki hadn’t seen before, his speed and blade forcing her to constantly retreat lest he land a fatal blow in his frenzy. She did her best to at least deflect the blows with her kunai, but all that did was divert his target from vital points to her arm and legs, she needed a plan. He hadn’t even begun to use ninjutsu yet, he was so focused on his constant physical barrage that it didn’t occur to him to try and wash her out. Miyuki hadn’t trained under these conditions, and she needed a minimum ten-foot gap and 5 second time frame to perform any kind of jutsu, her only hope would be to try and use his frenzied state against him. To find an opening and strike out with her legs, praying that she didn’t sacrifice too great of an opening for him to take advantage of, and once he was far enough away, she should have the perfect opportunity to lay some explosive tags as a barrier and perform a jutsu to put her ahead. The fight seemed to rage on forever, Kyoto constantly on the attack with Miyuki defending and biding her time. It was during one his more aggressive assaults that she saw it, he had fallen into a pattern with his attacks. After an intense exchange he would feint away and go for her weaker side hoping to catch her off guard, leaving the area surrounding his liver and kidney exposed. Miyuki waited another rotation to make sure her timing was right and then crouched down on her right side and struck out with her left leg, hitting Kyoto squarely on his right side sending him back a solid few feet. She took this opportunity to jump further back herself, laying explosive tags as she did. Giving her enough time to perform a genjutsu to quiet his rage just as he entered her trap. just as Kyoto was getting back on his feet. In his hurried state, he didn’t take notice of the tags surrounding him and once inside Miyuki could see the genjutsu take effect where his mind had cleared and calm fell over him, she was able to then knock him back with her taijutsu and grapple him to the ground with two kunai pointed at either side of his neck. This sequence of events led to Miyuki’s surprising victory. Teaching her a very valuable life lesson in the process, brute strength and talent mean nothing if you can’t utilize them properly by pairing them with your ultimate asset. Never let your emotions get in your way of seeing what’s really in front of you, it could be the opening you’ve been looking for but won’t see if your vision is clouded. And that could be the difference between victory and defeat, life and death. As a newly ordained Chunin, that was something Miyuki would need to remember if she were to survive the path she had chosen in life.
At 19 Miyuki was commended for her service as a Shinobi and was promoted to Jounin. Proving herself through her adept abilities at espionage. She went through several organizations gaining invaluable intellect to help not only her village, but the Muramasa family she served as well. Though her body count wasn’t impressively high, her service record was above average and her ability to not get caught was an asset. She was a reliable shinobi and worked hard to complete her objectives with minimal fallout. She had yet to find herself in a situation that she couldn’t get out of. Something that was highly sought after and well paid for in her specific line of work.
When Miyuki turned 22, she took a break from work and spent a month relaxing and cleansing both her body and soul from the tragedies of her line of work. On one fateful night, she ran into Karagata Shinjiro, which sparked a wild night of passion that turned into an unexpected romantic relationship. Shortly after their encounter, Miyuki found out she was pregnant with Shinji's child while in Heart negotiating with Takeda Ichiro and hunting Kaisui. A task loosely given to her from the Mizukage and HHD where she now worked in the Inquisition unit. While in Heart, she tried a spiritual realm summoning to garner insight into how to more effectively use her genjutsu abilities. The summoning went wrong and she ended up both cursed and eventually blessed by The Siren, a viscious ethereal spirit who fed off the emotional turmoil of those unlucky to make her acquaintance. This meeting granted her an ability that allowed her to delve further into her skill with genjutsu once she learned to harness the curse into something more useful.

[*]Hopes/Dreams: Miyuki wants to see all that the world has to offer and experience all the different ways of life and culture that there are.
[*]Fears: Her greatest fear is losing what little stability she has in this world. She worries what would happen to her soul if she were to lose Toru, if she would be able to still be herself and live her life. Or if she would turn into her parents and stop trying. She would rather be buried with her siblings than live a half life without joy and love.
[*]Combat Mentality: Miyuki sticks to a more defensive way of fighting so that she can formulate a proper plan and follow it through in the most direct way with minimal chance of failure.
First Ability[c]Curse of The Siren
These feelings can alter their decision making skills allowing Miyuki to manipulate the outcome of a conversation.
Sirens Kiss
This can be broken by being Kai'd, extreme pain and the target or Miyuki being on the brink of death.
Unless the effect is broken, the changes are considered permanent.
*[Sensory Style • Beyond Senses]
Even with high levels of Chakra Control, this jutsu can be mentally taxing as it requires the user to sort through the individual chakra sources in the sensor’s range.
*Kūgāpou • Soft Paws
This technique also allows the practitioner to fully stop and negate weapon attacks launched at them if their Strength is equal or higher than the Strength of the attack in question.

[Silent Hunter]
The Silent Hunter style originated as a series of silent fighting techniques developed by Commander Karagata Shiv of Kirigakure's Head Hunter Division, further applied by Overseer Kaikyo Kohon of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, and finally revised and reimagined by Aisu Naohiro to become an expansive doctrine of techniques essential to any eager Head Hunter to aid in infiltration, tracking, and assassination.
Requires: [Stealth] & [Perception]
[Vigilance]
Even those with such a technique will find it harder to determine the user's attack patterns or where they are aiming to strike.

The samurai of the Land of Tea have produced a unique style of Kenjutsu called Iaido.
Otherwise, they cannot accurately read the attack and will be unlikely to completely avoid the attack, if at all.

*[Genjutsu • Pins and Needles]

[big]History[/big]
Ever since Miyuki was born the world had tried to make her conform, be less than who she was and succumb to the hardships in life, suffice it to say that didn’t exactly work.
