Shio and Aimi took to the skies as their preferred approach while Tatsuo accompanied the group traveling on foot. Kozaki and Natsumi trailed behind him as they traveled through the flat lands and into the thicket of trees outside of the Temple itself. Tatsuo and Natsumi slowed their pace and kept behind the trees as they approached in an attempt to keep themselves free of any sight lines. The crackle of Aimi's voice came over his communication fuuin and Tatsuo channeled a small bit to reply back.
"I'll be hanging back with Natsumi and Kozaki until they're set up then moving forward to join with you, Aimi. Hold position unless you get eyes on Shio engaging or being engaged upon." Tatsuo replied as the group came to a stop some 75 meters from the Temple yet still hidden within the trees. He cast Natsumi a look who nodded in kind and handed over five of her marked kunai before channeling some chakra to pull forth an ink well and blank tags from her realm.
[Open Space • Near and Far]
B-rank Jikukan Ninjutsu
Prerequisite: [Space-Time - Formula Seal]
The user will channel chakra throughout their body before holding out their hand as if grasping something. After doing so, the users chakra will reach out through space itself to grab hold of anything bearing the [Space-Time - Formula Seal], bringing the object in question to their hand regardless of distance or who currently possess it.
Used to bring forth ink well + 20 blank tags from Realm Room #51
[Space-Time - Formula Seal] x5
C-rank Augment Fuuinjutsu
A fuuinjutsu developed by Nyūsen, Natsumi. This fuuinjutsu serves as the anchor and location for the teleportation of the [Space-Time - Acceleration of Mind and Body] jutsu. The fuuinjutsu can be rubbed off with a strength of [Control] and is able to be placed by the user on inanimate such as kunai, blank tags, animate objects, and even people.
She began to write out seals on five blank tags and handed them over to Tatsuo. He nodded and pocketed the seals into his waist pouch. The woman then moved behind one of the trees and beckoned Kozaki to follow. Once he sat down and was ready, Natsumi began to draw out the seal on his back and place her hands on his it to continuously channel chakra into it. All he would have to do now was coordinate the support efforts.
[Extended Dominion]
S-Rank Space-Time Tenkufuuinjutsu
Prerequisite: A combined CP between Caster and Subject of least 70
By studying what little information she was permitted by Kirigakure about the shinobi Kozaki, she developed a fuuinjutsu which allows him to extend his [Dominion] out over 250 meters. This also requires others who use Space/Time or Summoning Jutsu to pay double the cost to work against the [Dominion] unless their [Control] is greater than the casters. This fuuinjutsu requires a constant effort by the Caster and Subject, requiring them to be immobile.
Tatsuo, seeing the two ready to go, started making his way through the trees to the treeline to get a good look at the Temple. He channeled chakra into his shiin and the organs inflated to their glory, the melashiin such a deep violet they could be mistaken for black in the wrong lighting. The dark violet armor grew over his already there armor, forming another layer of defense except for his head, as he took position behind a tree to the far right of Aimi's position. He could see the specter making its way to the Temple and decided to follow suit. The Bannin ran through a set of hand seals and a clone of Kouton formed itself from the earth. He shot the clone a head nod and it began to run forwards towards the Temple doors where it would enter unless stopped.
[Basic Formation: Enhanced Melashiin]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Channeling chakra to their shiin, they cause it to inflate, fully forming into its full glory. Taking the shape of a long fleshy protrusion, the melashiin is able to recover at double the rate of a normal body part would. The user's melashiin has been combined with a temershiin granting it Endurance equal to user's Endurance.
[Basic Formation: Perfected Lacrishiin]
D-Ranked Ninjutsu
Channeling chakra to their shiin, they cause it to inflate, fully forming into its full glory. Taking the form of an almost opaque armor with an appearance of glass, the lacrishiin almost completely covers the user's body. As a pseudoarmor, the lacrishiin has Endurance equal to the user's.
[Kouton • Clone]
C-Rank Ninjutsu
The user will do the needed hand seals and create a clone made of Kouton. It has the users stats and lasts for [Control]/5 posts.
*[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
A practitioner of Toryu is capable of attacking with every part of their body, even their heads. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity and experience with executing palm strikes, heel strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and headbutts/skull bashes just as effectively as regular punches, kicks, and sword strikes. This Discipline allows the practitioner to consistently execute these kinds of attacks while minimizing or eliminating openings in their defenses or shock/damage they would experience while using these kinds of strikes.
*[Toryu • Lethal Familiarity]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Many of the Toryu techniques would put the user in incredibly daring positions where a single mistake could instantly spell disaster for the swordsman. As a result, Toryu practitioners must train themselves constantly to avoid letting their fears distract them from their task. A practitioner with this technique has learned to shut out fear in the heat of combat, allowing them to perform attacks and techniques without the risk of failure due to fear responses.
*[Toryu • Granite Epitaph]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 25 Strength.
After much training with grappling, clinching, blocking, deflecting, and parrying weapons, the practitioner gains skin as sturdy as rock, allowing them even more avenues for defense and attack. This Discipline represent's the practitioner's body conditioning for toughening their skin all over their bodies, especially on their hands. This makes the practitioner's skin harder to cut or penetrate, and it allows the practitioner to perform normally self-destructive feats, such as blade catches, without needlessly harming themselves.
*[Toryu • Searching For Hope]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Toryu • Granite Epitaph]
Extending additional uses to the body conditioning of the hands, Toryu practitioners are skilled in parrying and deflecting attacks with their bare hands. This Discipline represents the practitioner’s capacity to defend against weapon attacks with their hands whenever they wish to do so. This is executed by placing their palms against the flat of the blade or around a non-damaging section of the weapon and pushing or deflecting the weapon away. This Discipline is ineffective against weapon attacks with a higher Strength than the practitioner's Strength stat.
*[Iaido • Ancestral Focus]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The hallmark of Iaido is its practitioners abilities to launch an attack even when their swords are sheathed. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to consistently execute a sword draw and slash all in one movement by gripping the edge of the scabbard and pulling the scabbard slightly forward before drawing the sword. This Discipline enables the practitioner to immediately draw their sword and attack at the start of combat.
*[Iaido • Weapon Mastery]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Since Iaido is a style that prioritizes speed over brute strength, wise usage of the blade is paramount to the practitioner's success in the style. This Discipline represents the practitioner's knowledge of their weapon's strengths and weaknesses in combat, allowing them to use the weapon more efficiently both inside and outside of its use in Iaido techniques and avoid unnecessarily presenting their weapon's blind spots to the opponent.
**[Iaido • One with the Sheath]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 8 Speed.
The practitioner has learned how to more quickly and efficiently sheath his blades. The practitioner can now seamlessly transition from drawing their blade to slash to sheathing their blade, allowing the practitioner to sheath their sword in half the time, up to a maximum speed equal to their Speed score, for the more rapid execution of Iaido techniques.
*[Iaido • Shinigami Draw]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Losing the use of one's hand or arm in a fight can be a death sentence, but Iaido has found a simple, elegant response to this desperate situation. Using their free hand, the practitioner momentarily braces the edge of their sword against the inside of the scabbard before drawing. While it does not confer the instant acceleration benefit of its parent technique, this Discipline does allow the practitioner to use Iaido techniques at their normal speed even with only one hand.
*[Iaido • One with the Sword]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Iaido • One with the Sheath].
The practitioner has learned how to more quickly and efficiently sheath his blades even without the use of both hands. The practitioner can now sheath the blade just as quickly with one hand as could be done with two hands, and so long as the scabbard remains on their person, the practitioner will always have an exact knowledge of the position of their scabbard.
*[Iaido • Ancestral Visage]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Using Iaido to its fullest requires a keen eye and quick reactions, enabling its users to target weaknesses and openings that their opponents present almost instantaneously. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to attack openings that present themselves, the practitioner now able to reflexively attack an opening in almost the same moment that it is observed. This Discipline reduces the gap of time between a practitioner recognizing a potential opening for attack and launching the attack to exploit said opening to almost nil.
*[Iaido • One with the Spirit]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): *[Iaido • One with the Sheath], *[Iaido • One with the Sword].
Through incredible amounts of practice, the practitioner of Iaido has learned his weapon and its housing inside and out. The user of this weapon can now reflexively sheath their sword in its scabbard almost instantaneously by instinct with either one hand or both hands without even looking. This facilitates further use of other Iaido techniques.
*[Iaido • Spectral Flight]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 15 Strength, 25 Speed, *[Iaido • Ancestral Visage].
In order for Iaido to stand toe to toe with a variety of high-level opponents, refining fundamentals to a new height is necessary. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to more quickly accelerate to max movement speed and decelerate to a full stop at a moment's notice. This does not offer protection against attacks that the practitioner does not know is coming.
~[Perfect Balance]
D-Ranked Discipline Taijutsu
Type: Melashiin, Temershiin, Phasmashiin, Eroshiin, and Lacrishiin.
Due to training with their shiin, Akari members are much more at balance than those without a shiin. This holds especially true for those with temershiin, as the tail-like protrusion provides a counterbalance. This also allows for clan members to use their shiin as legs for balance, if able.
[Quiet Steps]
D-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Stealth] Concentration
The user has learned to move silently, and does not produce any sound when walking. They cannot be heard unless the person listening for them has a like-ranked Perception technique.
[Incoming]
C-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception] Concentration
The user has attuned their hearing to subconsciously listen for the sound of things moving through the air and alert them when picked up. This allows them to hear and become alert of projectiles flying at them from a general location, even if they can’t see them. This technique does not work in enclosed areas where sounds can be distorted.
[Trained Nose]
B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception] Concentration
Over time Tatsuo has developed a keen nose. He can pick up on faint scents that average shinobi wouldn’t even notice to the point where he can distinguish the individual body scents of people as well as determine specific species of animals even by just a strand of hair. The passive range of this ability is 40 meters though if he has picked up on a trail he can continue to follow it to its source assuming there are still scent particles in the air or physical remnants of a trail.
[Trained Ears]
B-Ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception] Concentration
Tatsuo’s sharp senses allow him to pick up on slight sounds within a 40 meter radius of himself. This can range from the sound of a weapon being drawn, a projectile in flight or subtle footsteps and sounds of light breathing. In terms of eavesdropping he can discern a conversation at such a range as if he were standing next to the person whom is speaking.
[Awareness]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception] Concentration
The user has learned to pay attention to their opponent's minuscule movements preceding an action and other things in the midst of a fight. The longer the fight goes on, the more details about the opponent will become noticed by the user. The user can only notice and follow those with a Taijutsu equal to or lesser than their own.
[Silent Steps]
B-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Stealth] Concentration
The user has trained to stay silent when moving at their full speed unless the foe has a like-rank Perception technique. If the user sticks to walking rather than running, they won’t be able to be heard regardless of the foe possessing advanced hearing techniques.
[Close Quarters]
B-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisites: Upper Body, Shiin Usage
When in enclosed areas, the user may find themselves with limited space and find it difficult to get the full force out of their attack. No matter the angle, the user who practiced this discipline will be able to get full strength from their attacks even if they can't extend them fully.
[Recognition]
B-Rank Discipline Taijutsu
Humans are being of habits and patterns, this is no exception in combat, ranging from taijutsu to hand seals. Patterns already being easier to remember, the user has worked hard at actively committing whatever he sees to his short-term memory. This allows him to remember things such as the beginning wind up to a strike or a hand seal pattern after seeing it once, so that he can recognize the technique if used later in a battle. This gives him an advantage in anticipating his opponents next action and makes an opponent’s consecutive usage of a technique a liability.
[Titan’s Strength]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 30 Strength
The user has trained their body and as such can use their oversized shiin/weapon with such ease that the usual encumbrance of such large weapons is as if nothing to them. This allows the user to use their shiin/weapon with the same speed and control as a smaller, more easily controlled weapon, such as a ninjato or katana. The benefits of this are incredibly useful, as this allows them to attack with incredible speed and accuracy without sacrificing their power, as well as block efficiently between blows.
[Tremorsense]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Tatsuo is sensitive to vibrations in the ground and can automatically pinpoint the location of anything that is in contact with the ground within a 60-meter radius. While underwater, Tatsuo can still use his tremorsense by backtracking the vibrations that carry in water.
[Titan’s Grip]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 35 Strength
The user has become so adept at using his heavy phasmashiin that he can do so one handed with no penalty. The user can perform any Shiin Usage taijutsu of A rank or lower single handedly, and can maneuver their shiin fluidly and accurately with only one hand. This has the added benefit of freeing up their other hand, allowing them to use their other hand for a variety of purposes while maintaining an offensive advance.
[Feel No Pain]
A Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 35 Endurance, 35 Strength
A user with this technique has trained themselves to ignore even the most painful of wounds. This isn't to say that the damage of the wound is ignored; a grievous wound will still cause damage to the user's body and could inhibit their abilities or kill them outright. This discipline simply allows the user to treat pain as if it doesn't exist through shear force of body and will, allowing them to charge straight through attacks and jutsu to deliver their onslaught of attacks.
[Spatial Awareness]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception] Concentration
The user has undergone years of training their hearing to levels that are beyond human. The user is able to pick up and detect the faintest of whispers, the softest of noises, and even those with lower ranked [Stealth] techniques. This jutsu will not pick up foes with a [Stealth] technique equal to or exceeding its rank.
[Vacuum Steps]
A-ranked Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Stealth] Concentration
The user has mastered producing no noise while utilizing their full speed. While either running or walking the user is unable to be heard by foes unless they are using a like-rank Perception technique.
[Flicker Proficiency]
A-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception] Concentration, *[Ninjutsu • Body Flicker Technique]
The user has become accustomed to and is no longer affected by the lag of the *[Ninjutsu • Body Flicker Technique] through repeated usage and practice of the jutsu. After performing the jutsu the user is able to instantly attack or defend rather than suffer the momentary lag accompanying those not acclimated to the jutsu.
[Instant Acceleration]
A-rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 50 Strength
The user has trained their body to utilize their full speed without any build up or using any excess energy. This allows the user to use their max speed while operating in the midst of a fight or even from a dead stop as if they were just jogging casually.
[Lie Detector]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: [Perception] concentration, [Trained Nose], [Trained Ears]
By using his enhanced senses of smell and hearing, Tatsuo is able to act as a type of natural lie detector by detecting the faint change in a person's heartbeat and scent due to perspiration when a lie is told. This is rendered ineffective against those who have an A-Rank or higher Stealth technique to fool Tatsuo's senses, or those who do not have a heart beat or sweat glands (i.e. Elemental Body).
[Echolocation]
S-rank Taijutsu Discipline
The user has learned how to utilize sound to provide them with a form of a sight. Mimicking the Echolocation of animals such as a bats and dolphins, the user has learned how to use coughs, clicks, and other noises they produce to 'see.' Each time the user makes a noise, it travels 80 meters and provides them with a mental 3D image of the surrounding area. They can detail size, shape, surface features, and density but cannot details such things as color.
[One Chance]
S-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: 45 Willpower
Tatsuo has trained to fortify his mind and body against the horrors of torture and interrogation through rigorous training over the years. He has trained himself to be able to resist all manners of physical and mental prodding, pain and anguish and instead channel the suffering inflicted upon him into increasing his will to resist. In order to achieve this stance, Tatsuo must sit still for a post while he focuses on the what is to come. This technique can last for a maximum of 10 posts.
[Saraswati's Vision]
S-Rank Discipline
Prerequisites: 50 Speed
Tatsuo's eyes are able to follow high speed targets due to his body being used to operating accurately at his own insane speed. His eyes are capable of keeping up with 50 speed objects, persons, and his own blazing fast speed up to 50 due to the immense training possessed at operating at these speeds.
[Watching Closely]
S-Rank Discipline Taijutsu
Prerequisite: [Perception] concentration
Possessing immense battle sense and perception, Tatsuo is aware of even the most subtle details around him, to a point where he can even pick up on the slightest tension changes in an opponent’s body allowing him predict their movement before it is complete or even read what someone is writing by the way their pencil moves. At times his eyes seem to move on their own will, rapidly tracking an amount of movements equal to his [Speed]/2.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Rapid Reload]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After years of training, the practitioner has learned how to quickly and accurately access their ranged weapon stores at all times in combat. This cuts the effective "reload" time by half, up to a maximum speed equal to the practitioner's Speed score. This also applies to returning unused projectiles to their storage containers or switching between types of projectile weaponry.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Tracking]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner has learned how to read an opponent's movements and adjust their aim accordingly to compensate without penalty. This Discipline allows the practitioner to accurately hit moving targets, though sudden changes in the opponent's movements will still affect accuracy.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Dead Angle Targeting]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner has learned how to use projectiles at close range, even point-blank range, with the same Strength as attacks against more distant targets. This Discipline allows the practitioner to use Flawless Aim techniques against melee-range targets without excessive exposure to counterattack and without losing Speed, Strength, or accuracy.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Evasive Maneuvers]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The practitioner has learned how to accurately launch projectiles while moving through the flow of combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to accurately launch projectiles while moving at full Speed, while jumping, rolling, sliding off the ground, or while performing other basic combat movements.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Improvised Ammo]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The practitioner knows their own reliance on ammunition can be exploited by the enemy and prepare themselves to acclimate to less than favorable circumstances. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to effectively launch any item, so long as it possesses at least the mass of a standard kunai, as if it were meant to be a projectile weapon without sacrificing accuracy. Attacks using improvised weaponry suffer a decrease in Strength, all such attacks being treated as having -3 Strength.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Uncanny Shot]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner is able to launch projectiles from previously impossible positions. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to launch projectile attacks without any detriment to their aim regardless of the position of their body. This includes while contorting their body or making rapid adjustments such as dodging attacks or performing acrobatic maneuvers.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Blind Sight]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner no longer needs to rely on their sense of sight, instead using their other senses to locate and attack targets. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to launch attacks at targets that may be behind, above, to their sides, or even behind terrain without sacrificing any accuracy without having a line of sight on their opponents. This Discipline does not allow the practitioner to ignore terrain or obstructions, merely allowing them to account for those factors when aiming and launching projectiles.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Absolute Aim]
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Having mastered the art of ranged combat, the practitioner is capable of calculating all outside factors before launching their projectiles. Ambient factors such as temperature, winds, moisture, any terrain, and even lack of sight on their target can not hinder their aim. So long as they have a means of detecting the location of their opponent and no impassible objects or unavoidable defenses stand in their way, the practitioner's attacks will strike their target with pinpoint accuracy without fail. Living targets must have a Perception technique equal or higher in rank to be able to dodge the practitioner's attacks without some sort of additional defense.
