A Festival Of Wonders!

From tent to tent Koji moved quickly, carrying the large crate after large crate, all in preparation of the big night. 3 hours, he thought glancing at his watch, 3 hours until the fun begins. Tonight was the night. The night for fun. The, night for a party. That's right tonight was Konoha's Festival of Fire.

Koji had volunteered to help set up for the big night. The tents, the stands, and the grand stage all needed to finish being set up before the big night. Due to this Koji and multiple other ninja joined in the set-up committee and he was sure that there would be even more later that night. Koji looked around, seeing his fellow ninja working hard to get the area ready. Judging by the energy all around the village, tonight was going to be a great night.

(OOC: Come join in the fun! Be part of the set-up committee, or have your nin prepare for the festival. Either way, depending on the amount of people joining, the may begin in about 5 rounds of posts.)

It was going to be a big night indeed. With the festivities soon upon them, most of the villagers were scurring about to get things ready. Several nin had volunteered to help with the set up. One such shinobi was Katashi, whom was busy carrying a few crates around. Not only was he looking forward to seeing the festival, but he also thought of it as getting a workout and saw it as part of training. Carrying around loads of heavy material and running about was indeed a workout, but he didn't complain.

He took a moment to look around, seeing more nin like himself helping out around him. He didn't recognize many of them, except for one, Koji. He remembered seeing him before and was glad to see a familiar face around. He noted that he too was busy helping out and also seemed anxious for the festivities.

"Hey!" He shouted, since his arms were busy holding a box.

Hearing Katashi's yell caused Koji's head to turn, looking around for whoever shouted in his general direction, wanting to return the acknowledgment that he had received. It didnt take him long to notice the young genin but it took him slightly longer to recognize him. Ah! Thats right! He's the one who i met on my walk the other night! he thought to himself. "Hey there" Koji said as he put the box in his hand down where it needed to be.

He walked over to the young genin and grabbed the box in his hands. "Let me take that." he said as he lifted it up and then set it down next to the same box he was carrying. Both boxes, along with multiple others, were filled with pieces used to set up the tents for the festival. "Want to help me setup the tents?" he asked as he broke open the top of the crates and began removing pieces of the tents.

"Oi?" The young genin couldn't protest when asked as Koji had already taken the box, it wasn't like he was going to either ways. When the boxes were opened, they revealed to be pieces of a tent. When asked if he wanted to help, Katashi agreed.

"Sure," He replied as he dug into the open box and begun to remove pieces as well. He set them to the side, all away from each other as to not get them mixed and organized quite well.

(ooc: Sorry i took a while. Kinda wanted to see if anyone else was going to join but it seems that they aren't.)

In the back of his mind, Koji realized that he had probably been a little rude when he took the box out of Katashi's hands without waiting for an answer but at this moment in time he really didn't show any sign that he cared. He was just so excited for the festival that he his manners were sort of chucked at the door.

As Koji reached the bottom of the crate he found that there was a small booklet at the bottom of it. "Hm what could this be?" he mumbled as he reached in and picked it up. He began to quickly flip through it before realizing what it was; directions on how to set up the tents. "Hey do you want to read through this?" he asked Katashi holding the booklet out to the young genin. It was only about 4-5 pages long as the setup wasn't very complicated.

"Hm?" Katashi stopped what he was doing to look over at Koji. He had found some sort of manual and was flipping through it for a moment before he asked if the genin wanted to look it over. With a nod, Katashi took the book once it was handed out towards him. Being that it was only a few pages, the boy decided that he would read it and read out the instructions as he did.

"Ready?" He asked before he actually begun.

"Ready" Koji said to the young genin. "All i need is a hammer..." he said looking around.

As he was looking around, Koji began to hear a muffled voice coming from the area around him. He looked left, he looked right, nothing. There was no one to be seen, at least none that would be making such a noise. That is, until he looked down. By his feet sat a young red lion, holding the very hammer that he was looking for. "Thanks Kai," he said to his red furred friend.

"No problem." said the young lion. With that Koji began to piece parts together, hammering them into place with the nails provided.

When asked for a hammer, the genin also looked around to try and find one, but couldn't. Then, one suddenly appeared before Koji, handed to him by a small, red lion. The creature even spoke as it handed the hammer to the chunin, Katashi eyeing it curiously.

"Your summon?" He asked. He didn't have one of his own and didn't have much experience seeing as he hadn't seen one up to now. He only knew what he read about them and what was taught to him.

Before Koji could even answer the young genin, Akai had taken it upon himself to make the introduction.

"Yep! That's me alright! I'm his fightin' partener! His best bud! Their ain't no one around that could beat us!"

"Kai! Breathe buddy, breathe."Koji intervened, "Yeah sorry about that, he gets a little carried away sometimes. This is Akai, my lion summon." he said, making the formal introduction.

Koji continued to put pieces together, almost having the frame of an entire tent up within a short amount of time. "I think all we need to do is get the frames set up," he said, "It looks like those guys over there are decorating them." he explained, pointing to group of people going from tent to tent making them look nice.

The sun was making its decent, leading to a beautiful sunset. This could only mean that they only had a few hours to get the rest of the tents set up before the party began.

Katashi found Akai interesting and amusing. The little lion seemed to be full of energy and certainly had confidence to boot. He watched at the exchange of words between the two and then as Koji mentioned that they were almost done with the tent. He saw the other men scurrying about from tent to tent, adorning them with all manner of elegant decorations.

"Yes, we should wrap things up here as well," Katashi said as he observed the setting sun. However, the chunin seemed to have all under control and the genin was unsure as to where or with what to help with. "So, what do you want me to do?"

"Follow me." Koji said to Katashi as he began to walk to another spot to set up the frame of another tent. "Hold this," he said, handing the young genin a piece of the frame. He then picked up another piece and began hammering the two pieces together. They had a lot of work to get finished.

Time passed rather quickly as they rushed to finish all of the tents in time for the nights festivities. The sun had finally set which meant that the festival was about to begin. The streets were lined with beautiful tents and bright lights which led the way directly to the giant stage in the center of the village. The tents were filled with vendors selling products, anything from candy for the young and old alike, to low price weapons for the fighter in all of us. People were dancing and celebrating, although some a little too much.

"ATTENTION KONOHA! TONIGHT, WE CELEBRATE OUR GREAT CITYYYYYYY!!!!" screamed a man upon the stage. Immediately after, a loud crowd of cheering could be heard all around the village.

Nodding, the boy followed the chunin and took up to the task. Time seemed to fly by once they got busy setting up the remaining tents. Before long, the sun had set and the crowd was coming in. Nothing made it more official than a man shouting it out at the top of his lungs that the festival had indeed begun. The genin was satisfied with the work and it was now time to relax. Yet, something lingered in the back of his mind.

"Say," He spoke up, "Summoning requires a good amount of skill in ninjutsu. Since your able to do it, it must mean your skilled enough... so I was wondering if you could teach me sometime?"

"Hm," Koji pondered, "Yeah I guess it does." he replied. He went over to one of the many vendors and purchased two glasses of punch. "Here, take some." he said to the genin, holding out one of the cups. "To be honest," he started as he took a sip of his drink, "I've never really tutored anyone in specific skills before. I mean yeah i have helped them with jutsu but never with just learning general skills. I am however willing to try if you don't mind that it may not be perfect." He said, watching the many people of the village dancing in the street. Even Akai was attempting to dance. Keyword there being attempting.

Katashi nodded as he took the punch. He took a drink as he listened to Koji's explanation of how he wasn't all that great, but was willing to try. As far as the genin was concerned, he was better than him and could therefore teach him something.

"Ok then," He replied, "We should get to training some time then," He turned his attention to the people and Akai whom were dancing, or at least trying to. "For now, we should just enjoy the evening."
