Kanji Inpan: Ryu Kokyuu Kani seal: Dragon breath
Rank: C-rank Fuuinjutsu
Description: By forming a kanji that combines the seals for "dragon" and "breath" in center of his palm and/or mouth out of katon chakra, Tousha is able to unleash a large stream of searing hot fire from the location the kanji is created. The flames produced by this fuuinjutsu can easily leave anyone struck by them with second or third degree burns. This continuous attack is released when Tousha closes his fists or mouth, breaking the kanji in the process.
After two and a half days on non-stop training the last thing the kage wanted was to run outside and start shooting lightning bolts into the air or swinging a sword around. But he also knew that it was his duty to Konoha to get stronger in order to better protect it. But damn it all, his body hurt.
After his morning cup of tea Tousha found himself in a much better mood, which was still below his usual high spirited mood but he would have to live with it. He decided during breakfast that he had been spending too much of his time honing his raiton abilities, in the process he had almost completely neglected his katon techniques. But that was going to change after today, one way or another he would make something catch fire by the end of the day.
So Tousha found himself rummaging through his personal "scroll shed" for the third time in four days. After a few seconds of searching the Hokage found what he had been looking for. When he came into view once more he would be carrying a massive scroll, its boarders lined with several bright and dark colors alike. With a grunt the kage dropped the scroll onto one of the many boulders that lined the lake's shore and set out to find something interesting.
Their are two rules when attempting to perform a kanji technique. Rule number one is never, ever, ever combine two symbols that were entirely unrelated. For example, trying to combine the kanji for "fire" and "frog" would only end in disaster. Rule number two is to take our time when you first attempt drawing the kanji itself. Even the slightest mistake while scribing the symbol could be even more disaterous than breaking rule number one.
After a few minutes of searching Tousha found two kanji that seemed like they would go well together, the kanji for "fire" and "breath." But there was only one way to find out, so after whipping out his trusty steel jitte the kage hopped down from the boulder and kneeled down and stabbed the business end of his defensive weapon into the soft dirt.
Very carefully Tousha outlined the symbol for dragon, a kanji that he was very familiar with. It would be the base for the second seal, the kanji for "breath." This symbol was a tad bit more tricky, but Tousha wasn't a beginner in the art of drawing kanji so he completed the seal with relative ease. Tousha stood up and watched the seal for a moment, waiting to see if simply drawing it on the ground would result in anything whatsoever. Unfortunately for him, the kanji simply sat there like any other old symbol.
So instead of using dirt Tousha decided to use a different medium. The kage closed his eyes and raised his hand parallel to the ground, pointing his open palm towards the center of the lake he was standing near. With a small amount of effort he focused katon energy into his open hand, creating a small flame. He used this flame to outline the marking needed for the kanji, but since it was his first attempt the kage took his time. Drawing symbols in the sand with a jitte was one thing, but making one out of fire was a tad more difficult.
After several moments the kanji was finally complete and without a second thought Tousha flooded the finished symbol with cakra. Immediately he sensed the kanji coming to life, he grabbed his right wrist with his left hand and planted his feet in preparation. The kage felt an intense heat burst to life in the palm of his hand and spread outwards through the air in front of himself. A large stream of flames flew through the air over the lake's surface, causing the water directly below it to begin bubbling and releasing steam into the air.
For a good ten seconds Tousha continued focusing chakra into the kanji in the palm of his hand, just to get a good idea of how long he could keep the onslaught of flames active. When he was satisfied Tousha quickly clenched his fist tightly, breaking the katon seal instantly.
