DescriptionShow Rei can be described by those around her as dainty, though this is usually due to her demeanor. Though rather thin, she is a bit tall and toned for her size. Somewhat fair-skinned for an Iwagakure resident, Rei finds she has difficulty maintaining a darker complexion, regardless of the amount of time she spends in the sun. That isn't to say that she doesn't have a slight tan, she just tends to not get much darker than "slightly tan". Her hair is kept long and she often dyes it whatever color she wants to rather spontaneously. It is very common for her hair to be any of a multitude of different colors at once. Notably though dark colors tend not to stay dark for very long. Her natural hair color is actually white, much to the shock of her parents. Rei's eyes are a dark gray with a hint of very light blue scattered throughout, the stark contrast of the void in her eyes draws people to them from the paleness of her face. Rei has has a white ink crown tattooed between her shoulder blades, roughly the size of a heart. She additionally has white-ink tattoos that house sealing fuuinjutsu that run up and down both of her arms, covering them almost entirely and connecting across her back, surrounding the crown symbol tattoo. Though the ink is white, it still still easily visible. Clothing/AccessoriesShow Rei has a variety of outfits that she may choose to wear on any given day, but the following are the most-used. Her usual mission attire consists of mostly washed out dark blue colors. The top is long-sleeved, tight-fitting, and dark blue in color with hints of purple here and there for aesthetics. Though it fits snugly, it in no way hinders her movement and is made of a rather stretchy material. Over this, she has a dull blue and dark faded purple leather jacket, contouring to her figure for the most part but loosening at the armpits, elbows, and around the navel. Around her waist, a dark blue sash-like cloth. It functions as a belt and makeshift pocket, for she can easily tuck away items into the folds of its fabric such as her mask or forehead protector which is kept clean and has a dark blue fabric. The sash also serves to keep her cloak in place when not fully being utilized, allowing it to fall down and flower behind her as she moves about. The cloak itself is a dark blue-gray in color and easily shrouds her face when the hood is on. Secured to the sash-like belt are several shinobi pouches which Rei uses to house her various tools and weaponry. On the front of her torso, two shinobi pouches are secured by her hips. This setup is paralleled on her backside, with two other pouches similarly placed along her buttocks. Running along her left hip, between her two left-most shinobi pouches is a leather strap that is specifically designed to serve as a holster for the multitude of weapons she is sure to accumulate over time. These holsterings are paralleled on her other side. Her pants are loose-fitting, though do not usually appear as such due to being constricted by her shin greaves. They are a dark yet dull indigo. Rei's shinobi sandals are much like the standard issue for Shinobi in Iwagakure, but with a few key differences. First and foremost, they are closed-toed and extend a bit higher than the typical pair and provide a bit of extra protection past the ankles. They are black in color. One of Rei's other generally used outfits is not normally utilized for missions but more so when traversing the village or general countryside. This outfit is much less combat-oriented, but still able to house all of her equipment either under or over the rest of it. The top for this set up is dark gray and black, the sides of her torso being covered in a thin gray material, though becoming thicker and darker as it covered the middle of her navel, chest, and back. The darker sections of a bright red trim that runs parallel to the edge of the darker portions, giving a defining outline to the material. Around her neck, Rei wears a black scarf, folded over her right shoulder and her head, forming a hood. The scarf is rather long and while the one end of it flows down to her knees, the other is secured in place with a red and black pin at her left shoulder. Black elblow gloves run up Rei's arms with this outfit, with a bright red stitching pattern adorning the back of her hand and trailing up towards the elbow. Her pants are a very dark gray and contour to her figure rather sharply, seeming to flow seamlessly with the black shoes she wears upon her feet. A black slightly translucent beach-scarf is wrapped around her waist, tying on the left side and covering most of her right leg. The shoes have red-trimmed black leather buckles that secure them in place over the legging-like pants. The next of Rei's usual outfits is namely utilized when she feels the need to go out and about as a civilian, enjoying social activities with the other villagers and not at all having to worry about the shinobi life. For the most part, the entire arrangement is black in color with select areas being trimmed in an iridescent blue-green fabric. The topic is tight-fitting, several buckles wrapping around just below her breasts. Her collar bones and upper chest are revealed with this outfit, though her neck is entirely covered by the fabric of the hood. The hood itself if black on the outside with a dark green on the inside, accenting the rest of her outfit. The sides of the hood connect to the arms of the top, but break away into two tails the flow down to her chest, meeting together and secured with a sea green tie. The arms of the top are long and include her middle finger and thumb, encasing them in the black and thin fabric. A few black leather buckles adorn the wrists on her right side, with only a single black buckle adoring the left wrist. Towards the top of the arm, just below the shoulders are a spiral-pattern, turquoise in color. Rei's leggings are black with a very subtle print layed upon them, swirls of blue-green that show at the top of her legs, circling around the entire way. The lower portion of her legs are shrouded by her boots, black in color and with many buckles that run from above the ankle to just under the knee. A belt lines Rei's waist, several long pieces of fabric jutting from the bottom, black in color. One piece flows past her groin and down to her knees, the other two pieces come down at her hips, symmetrically falling down her legs on the outside. These black protrusions are trimmed along the edges with a light blue line. The last of Rei's outfits is exactly identical to the previous with the exception that anything and everything is as white as snow in its coloration. Rei carries with her a mask that is stylized in appearance to resemble that of a white wolf. Additionally, she has a white crown which she uses in conjunction with the mask to keep it secured in place, when she chooses to wear it. EquipmentShow Barbed Greaves: Vambrace: Katanabreaker PT1: Other weapons: Shield of the Reforged: PersonalityShow
Those that know Rei would very easily describe her as inspiring. The poster child for doing what is right, Rei is tried and true a good person. She is courteous of others, helping anyone that she sees is struggling. Simply opening the door, picking up dropped items, assisting with baby care. If she sees a problem, she helps fix it. It matters not what it is. Not exactly known for taking risks outside of combat, Rei is a very calm and patient individual. Moves that Rei makes politically and financially are typically very well calculated, in stark contrast to her entirely instinctive and reactive combat style. Ambitious, she strives to do better for her family and for the village. She wishes to move up in the world and in Iwagakure. Curious by nature, Rei does like to experiment with just about anything, be it new jutsu techniques, new methods of chakra application, new scientific procedures. Rei is very easily heavily influenced by those that she is close to. Their habits, their personality traits, their dialects, all of it rubs off on Rei as she becomes closer to an individual. It is said that Rei would supposedly make a great parent, as she is an inherent nurturing nature to her very being. Rei is considered to be very trustworthy, though she admittedly reserves giving that title to others. Rei is known for being honest, even if it would result in hurting someones feelings. Though she is not easy or quick to trust others, she will become extremely loyal to them if they have proven their sincerity to her. She is affectionate, using endearing phrases and body language habitually. A hopeless romantic, she's convinced that there really isn't any guy out there for her after all. She's unsure if her standards are just too high, or if she's just tired of dealing with men that stab her in the back. She is flirty and hopeful, but experience has begun to learn her towards the idea that maybe she is simply better off alone. She isn't against the idea of being with a woman, or even with a spirit. Or a flying bloody tentacle monster. In keeping with her nurturing nature, the Yukari is known for her displays of sympathy, finding ways to compromise when it is needed in order to help those around her. Rei is typically very optimistic under any circumstances, sometimes even painfully so, except for when it comes to romance. She is logical, rational, and poised. Any movement she makes, any word she says, every breathe she breathes is calculated....when out of combat. Rei is a social butterfly. She loves to go out and about with people. It doesn't matter the reason. If there's an event, she is going. HistoryShow Rei's life began like many in Iwagakure these days. She was born in the village and for the most part she was sheltered from the conflict of the rock village and any of its political antics. Her parents were both shinobi, but the last of a dwindling family. The Yukari family was never very large and Rei was likely to be the last of them unless she had children. For whatever reason or another, her family members just died of random causes. Some natural, some malicious, some accidental. Rei grew up and watched her cousins and siblings and aunts and uncles die. Things did become a bit better for Rei as she enrolled into the academy however. She found that she made friends very easily with those around her in the academy and that she had a proficiency for performing taijutsu. She began to favor swords, polearms, maces, and axes quite a bit. She even grew a fondness for shields. Though her strength was not quite on par with the rest of the class, her reaction time was uncanny. She didn't know it but even as an academy student her ability to process things in her subconscious was on par with the average Jounin already. Rei's class was full of people with special abilities and talents. Some of them had special eyes that allowed them to see things and process them extremely fast. Some of them could create lava, some of them had extra organs. Rei had nothing. In order to succeed, she knew that she would have to work harder than everyone else and went through extraordinary amounts of training. Her classmates were convinced that she never slept. Any attempt to interact with her had to fit into her training schedule. Her parents were a huge help. Her father being a rather skilled genjutsu user, her mother was a taijutsu practitioner of the ages. Supposedly, the names Yukari Ai and Yukari Reika were well known to older shinobi. She had big shoes to fill, it would seem. With the guidance of her parents, she learned to be just as efficient as her classmates, even without special eyes to help her or special elements at her disposal. It became nearly impossible for anyone in her class (and even a large amount of the teachers) to ever land a hit on her in any capacity. She would read anyone and everyone's movements near instantly. She became impossible to defeat in a spar unless faced with the most powerful of long-ranged techniques or debilitating genjutsu. She never gloated or boasted about her prowess however, and instead began to utilize her profound processing capabilities to help her notice all sorts of things that others might miss. She began to help those around her and even before graduating from the academy, became renowned for her good heart. She befriended a great many members from the villages different clans and even got invited to attend the some of the ceremonies for the small Fukusha clan. Rei participated in the "Sharingan awakening" ceremony of her classmates and did whatever she could to be supportive. She found the traditions to be rather interesting. Upon graduation Rei would continue to receive guidance and training under her parents. She would even train with some of the Fukusha clan's older shinobo. She trained with the Akari clan. She trained with the Enkouten, the Kamizuru, the Shoshiki. At one point, Rei even manged to train under Hotaka, Kaori. Rei dedicated her life to becoming better. If someone was offering to teach her something, anything, she jumped on the opportunity. She was league's beyond her peers, she was becoming a prodigy. Through it all, her personality didn't change much. She didn't become arrogant. She remained a loyal and helpful and good-hearted person. Shortly after graduation she elected to undergo a trial for a body modification surgery, receiving a shield in her left arm that reacts to her mental commands. Rei has continued to develop her shinobi skills and has been approached about becoming the next host to a great phantom beast. Rei didn't exactly know what that meant, only what little things she had heard through rumors and whispers she overheard by accident. After some consideration, Rei agreed, thought she didn't know that she actually never had a choice in the matter to begin with. |

D-Ranked: 1:*Fuuinjutsu • Tattoo
D-Rank Storage Fuuinjutsu
Developed for clandestine operations originally, instead of using ink and paper, the user draws a seal onto their body the size of the item they are sealing into their body. Upon doing a set of hand seals, the user then slides the item into the tattoo and performs a second seal, causing the seal to go dormant. When kai'd the seal releases the stored item.
D-Ranked: 3:Genjutsu: Neverending Cast
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
By forming the necessary hand seals, anyone viewing the hand seals taking place will be initiated into the genjutsu. For the next 3 posts, it will appear as though the caster is continuously forming hand seals for various jutsu, regardless of whatever they are actually doing with their hands.
Genjutsu: Go for a Stroll
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
By forming the necessary hand seals, anyone that sees the user step behind cover will then see an illusory clone wall out of the other side of that cover after a moment or so, then continuing to be a rather basic visual distraction for up to 4 posts.
Genjutsu: Distorted Moves
D-Ranked Illusion Genjutsu
By forming the necessary hand seals, anyone viewing the hand seals taking place will be initiated into the genjutsu. For the next 3 posts the users movements will be shrouded in a continuous projection of after-images. All of their movements will appear to happen continuously and overlay on top of themselves at various angles. A movement of the arm looks as though six arms are moving at various odd angles, even if all are performing the same movement. This effects anything the user does during the length of the jutsu.
D-Ranked: 12:*[Flawless Aim Style • Sentinel Shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
Taking multiple projectiles into hand and priming the muscle groups required for launching projectile weapons, the practitioner can quickly shoot projectiles in rapid succession and just as quickly reload. While in this Stance, the practitioner can maintain a near-constant stream of projectile attacks. However, due to the amount of coordination required for this Stance, their movement is limited, suffering a -3 Speed penalty while in this Stance.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Repeater Shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Preparing multiple projectiles, the practitioner launches each of the projectiles at one or more targets. For each target beyond the first, the accuracy of each of the attacks is decreased, suffering a -1 Strength penalty for each additional target.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Arcing Shot]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner can launch projectiles in arcs up and over most obstacles, being able to accurately hit a target that is behind obstructions as if they were in the open. The practitioner must still be able to locate their target by some other means to ensure the projectile will hit its target.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Tracking]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner has learned how to read an opponent's movements and adjust their aim accordingly to compensate without penalty. This Discipline allows the practitioner to accurately hit moving targets, though sudden changes in the opponent's movements will still affect accuracy.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Dead Angle Targeting]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After much training and study, the practitioner has learned how to use projectiles at close range, even point-blank range, with the same Strength as attacks against more distant targets. This Discipline allows the practitioner to use Flawless Aim techniques against melee-range targets without excessive exposure to counterattack and without losing Speed, Strength, or accuracy.
*[Shinden • Swaying Peltandra]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The use of larger swords and hafted weapons often makes close-quarters maneuvering of the practitioner's weapon more difficult. By placing one hand on the pommel/butt of the hilt or low section of the weapon's haft, the user is able to more easily maneuver, twist, slide, and flip their weapon in close quarters to cover a wider range of offensive and defensive options, using the second hand to give full power to their attacks and techniques. This Discipline represents the practitioner's mastery of this basic concept, allowing them to lessen the impact of their weapon's natural blind spots and weaknesses.
*[Shinden • Ambidexterity]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
After practicing for a long amount of time with the concept of using both of their hands with equal skill, the user has developed a level of ambidexterity that allows them to utilize both hands equally and as effectively without any penalty. This extends to other methods of combat or simple everyday life as well.
*[Shinden • Swaying Cattail]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength.
A practitioner of Shinden must be able to control their weapon as easily as their own breath. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity to both change the orientation of their weapon to cover a different part of their body while spinning said weapon and to immediately change the direction said weapon is spinning without loss of defensive or offensive momentum.
*[Shinden • Stream Splitting]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
A simple setup technique, the practitioner quickly and continuously spins their weapon in their hands, capable of switching their weapon between each hand if they wish. This technique can serve as a defense against projectiles and attacks, but its primary purpose is to set up the practitioner for their next attack or technique. Any attack or technique used after the practitioner uses this technique will be instantly launched at the practitioner's maximum Strength and Speed.
*[Shinden • Grass Cutter]
D-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Prerequisite(s): 8 Strength, 8 Speed.
A simple yet devastating technique, the practitioner executes a powerful thrust towards the opponent. At the end of the thrust, or just as the blade is making contact with the opponent if it hits, the practitioner violently rotates the blade in any single direction and finishes the technique with a slash in the direction the sword was twisted. This additional rotation and slash at the end can further damage opponents or catch an opponent that has evaded the original thrust by strafing to either side, ducking, or jumping.
*[Toryu • Skipping Stone]
D-Rank Taijutsu Stance
The signature Stance of Toryu, practitioners relax the muscles in their bodies, gaining additional flexibility in their movements in how they approach the enemy, how they retreat, how they evade attacks, and how they attack the opponent. This Stance allows the practitioner to more easily read opponent's attacks and defend against them by evading in unusual ways, such as ducking, bending around, and quickly sidestepping attacks without needlessly exposing themselves to additional attacks. This fleet-footed Stance lets the practitioner mix up their movements to confuse and misdirect the opponent, allowing them to attack lesser-known openings in the opponent's guard. It also allows the practitioner to rapidly and reflexively change the angle, position and grip of their weapon with minimal movement, allowing them multiple manners in which they can attack the opponent or defend against attacks.
*[Toryu • Cobblestone Skeleton]
D-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
A practitioner of Toryu is capable of attacking with every part of their body, even their heads. This Discipline represents the practitioner's capacity and experience with executing palm strikes, heel strikes, knee strikes, elbow strikes, and headbutts/skull bashes just as effectively as regular punches, kicks, and sword strikes. This Discipline allows the practitioner to consistently execute these kinds of attacks while minimizing or eliminating openings in their defenses or shock/damage they would experience while using these kinds of strikes.
C-Ranked: 7:*[Flawless Aim Style • Evasive Maneuvers]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The practitioner has learned how to accurately launch projectiles while moving through the flow of combat. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to accurately launch projectiles while moving at full Speed, while jumping, rolling, sliding off the ground, or while performing other basic combat movements.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Forcible Redirection]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner first launches a projectile at -1 Strength. Then, they launch a second projectile at full Strength, targeting the first projectile. The second projectile ricochets off of the first projectile, capable of changing direction within 360 degrees of the location of the first projectile upon impact. The practitioner first launches a projectile at -1 Strength. Then, they launch a second projectile at full Strength, targeting the first projectile. The second projectile ricochets off of the first projectile, capable of changing direction within 360 degrees of the location of the first projectile upon impact. The second projectile is treated as an attack with a -5 Strength penalty.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Hidden Shot]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
By launching two projectiles, one immediately after the other, the practitioner attempts to create a decoy for the second. The first projectile is often larger or of equal size, and the second projectile is slightly behind and below it, the second projectile hiding in the first projectile's shadow. This masks the second projectile and makes it more difficult for the opponent to completely avoid. Opponents with a Perception technique equal or higher in rank may be able to see both projectiles clearly within a reasonable distance, though they'll still have to properly defend against it.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Twisting Path]
C-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
Preparing a projectile, the practitioner launches the weapon with a slight tailspin, causing the flight path of the weapon to warp as it travels. The practitioner uses this slight change in the projectile's trajectory to hit a variety of targets that could not be targeted by normal means. This can be used to hit a target that is hiding behind another person or object, particularly useful against opponents behind human shields.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Improvised Ammo]
C-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
The practitioner knows their own reliance on ammunition can be exploited by the enemy and prepare themselves to acclimate to less than favorable circumstances. This Discipline represents the practitioner's ability to effectively launch any item, so long as it possesses at least the mass of a standard kunai, as if it were meant to be a projectile weapon without sacrificing accuracy. Attacks using improvised weaponry suffer a decrease in Strength, all such attacks being treated as having -3 Strength.
Analyze: The Basics of Elements
C-Ranked Discipline
Prerequisite: Perception Concentration,
Viewing the channelling of chakra or the forming of hand seals is very beneficial to those with the knowledge to look into it. By paying close attention to the specific way in which chakra flows when channelled as well as the specific types of and the specific orders of hand seals being used, the practitioner of this discipline can instantly know exactly what basic element is about to be utilized, before the casting has even been completed. Additionally, they will retain exactly who it was that utilized the jutsu, remembering that they have access to the element in question.

Viewing the channelling of chakra or the forming of hand seals is very beneficial to those with the knowledge to look into it. By paying close attention to the specific way in which chakra flows when channelled as well as the specific types of and the specific orders of hand seals being used, the practitioner of this discipline can instantly know exactly what type of jutsu is being performed, but not its elemental nature if applicable, before the casting has even been completed. Additionally, they will retain exactly who it was that utilized the jutsu, remembering that they have access to the jutsu type in question. With this, they are able to differentiate Ninjutsu and Genjutsu from each other, but not able to discern what type of Genjutsu or Ninjutsu they are witnessing.
B-Ranked: 6:Awareness
B-Rank Discipline Taijutsu
Prerequisite: Perception Concentration
The user has learned to train their eyes to pay attention to their opponent's minuscule movements preceding an action and other things in the midst of a fight. The longer the fight goes on, the more details about the opponent will become noticed by the user.
Enhanced Recognition
B-Rank Discipline Taijutsu
Prerequisite: Perception Concentration
Humans are being of habits and patterns, this is no exception in combat, ranging from taijutsu to hand seals. Patterns already being easier to remember, the user has trained to actively commit whatever she sees to her memory. This allows her to remember things such as the beginning wind up to a strike or a hand seal pattern after seeing it once, so that she can recognize the technique if used later. This gives her an advantage in anticipating her opponents next action and makes an opponent’s consecutive usage of a technique a liability.
*[Flawless Aim Style • Intercepting Shot]
B-Rank Taijutsu Maneuver
The practitioner is able to launch a projectile in the direct path of an oncoming solid mass attack (i.e. Doton). If the Strength of this projectile meets or exceeds the Strength of the attack it is clashing against, the attack is deflected away from the practitioner. If the projectile is only slightly weaker than the attack (-5 Strength or less), the attack is still partially deflected, though the practitioner must supplement their defense with other techniques or movements to fully avoid the attack. The practitioner must still be able to detect and track the attack in order to defend against it.
*[Toryu • Granite Epitaph]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite(s): 25 Strength.
After much training with grappling, clinching, blocking, deflecting, and parrying weapons, the practitioner gains skin as sturdy as rock, allowing them even more avenues for defense and attack. This Discipline represent's the practitioner's body conditioning for toughening their skin all over their bodies, especially on their hands. This makes the practitioner's skin harder to cut or penetrate, and it allows the practitioner to perform normally self-destructive feats, such as blade catches, without needlessly harming themselves.
*[Shinden • Alligator Skin]
B-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Shinden practitioners learn how to handle their large weapons so accurately that they wield them as proficiently as any normal warrior with a smaller weapon. This Discipline represents the practitioner’s capacity to seamlessly fight with their two-handed weapon of choice as if it were a one-handed weapon. This allows them to perform quicker, more complex movements, guards, and attacks with their weapon of choice without any penalty related to the size or weight of the weapon.
A-Ranked: 2:Foresight
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Perception Concentration
Due to their astute awareness the user is able to see even the most minute of changes, the user is able to easily predict the opponents strikes and as such greatly increase their ability to evade or respond accordingly. This is most commonly used when surrounded by opponents, allowing the user to constantly be on the move; ducking, tilting and side-stepping in their efforts to move out of the path of incoming attacks.
Organized Chaos
A-Rank Taijutsu Discipline
Prerequisite: Perception Concentration
The user's mind will lock onto a number of targets up to their willpower stat, allowing the user to keep track of and fight against them without losing pacing or rhythm in battle. This allows the user to use their arsenal of attacks and expert levels of situational awareness to overwhelm even large groups of armed or unarmed opponents quickly.
