Fun with the demons
Iwa was in the middle of its warm seasons. The sun was setting just above the hills and the wind blew, carrying leaves and what ever else with it. It was quite warm out, just moving around would cause little beads of sweat to form on the forehead of who ever was out in the heat. If you stood still the breeze would take the sweat away and leave you filling quite cool. This was Bence's plan. He sat on a stump looking up at the sky and the beautiful sun set. He had always loved the purples and oranges that the sun would paint the clouds when it was dying. He loved the way the moon seemed to taunt the sun as it appeared only after the sun was going down.
Bence scratched his chin as he looked down at the ground and picked up a stick and looked back up at the sky. He used his sharp claw like finger nails to wittle on the stick. The days were getting longer and he was allowed to enjoy him self to a longer period of time as before he would have to go on night duty.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Hiraku wrinkled his nose as the dry, hot air swirled around his face. He didn't care for warm weather, and ignored the multi-colored flowers as the bent beneath his heavy boots. He was sweating beneath his layers of dark clothes, beneath the heavy leather straps crossing around his chest, holding the rather large scroll in place on his back. He yawned, tired from a long day of patrolling and doing whatever else he did during the day. He blinked in the low light of sunset, adjusting his eyes to the fiery hues of the sinking sun giving way to the darkening sky following the moon. It was about time to go home to his aging grandmother for her evening tea.
Ahead, a lone figure sat atop an old stump, a scraping sound coming from his fingers. Hiraku narrowed his eyes. He didn't have to look twice to see the man was a Temna, one of the demons of Iwa. He muttered under his breath as he strolled by, avoiding looking the man in the eyes.

Fun with the demons
Beneath the blazing evening sunset and amidst the slowly quieting streets of Iwagakure roamed Omoi, once again having finished her shift at the hospital and savoring the cool night breezes that were starting to make their way over Iwagakure. Her mood could have been better; as it was, Maru had been away for a while, either training or going on missions, and she never found as much enjoyment in this time of day without him. Not only that, but she had begun studying blood-borne illnesses and was forced to lug around a massive scroll strapped to her back... and boy, was it heavy. Still, she couldn't complain; the day had been productive and peaceful, and she had even picked up a new jutsu to assist with resuscitation.
Finally she spotted the hill, its many hues of purples, oranges, and yellows speckling the small expanse before her. With a relieved sigh, she began making her way up the hill. Despite the weight of the documents she carried, she kept pressing forward, aiming for its precipice.
This, she would soon realize, was a mistake.
As she made the final step upwards, she over-extended her leg and disrupted her balance, the scrolls pulling her further back until the scrolls and the pack slammed into the ground behind her. With a yelp, she fell backwards straight out of the straps on her backpack and rolling down the hill back first, hurtling straight for the chuunin.

Bence looked up at that ninja that was now walking past him. He smiled and almost started to wave. But then he noticed that the ninja was avoiding his gaze. Some one that hat heard terrible stories about the eating of babies no doubt. It was always like this. And they would never talk to a Tenma to find out if the stories were true or not. But they did not care. Bence just shrugged his shoulders and quite audibly called the man an ass hole, and turned back to his stick. He was put in a bad mood due to the mans behavior. It was sad when the villagers of your own village did not like you and would not even talk to you.
He was jerked out of his thoughts when he heard a loud thumping sound coming toward him. He smiled as he saw a young girl tumbling head over heals toward the man that had walked past him. He did not move, the man was close enough to the girl to save the girl the serious injure, and Bence would just get in the way of the process.

The chuunin paused at the man's comment, eyebrow slightly twitching in agitation. He turned his head slightly, eying the man before sneering. Hiraku usually wasn't the type to be blatantly rude, but this was a Tenma. He'd heard of the demon clan's filthy child-eating habits, and the way they all looked - so demonic and otherworldly - made Hiraku's flesh crawl. He glanced at the stick and had the intense desire to snap it, but somehow he figured destroying the demon's toy was a less-than-intelligent idea. He was about to instead say some witty retort when he heard dull thuds moving behind his back. He slowly turned his head, watching a girl tumbling in his direction.
"Wha- oh dammit!" He had barely reached out to catch the girl when she barreled into him, sending them both slamming into the ground - but not before they both took a few acrobatic, rather impressive rolls. He landed almost completely on top of her, clutching his throbbing head. To make the situation even better, a huge scroll came rolling behind her, knocking him square in the temple, causing him to tumble away from the clumsy girl.
Hiraku stood to his feet, taking several unbalanced steps as he unlatched the straps crossing his chest, sending his own enormous scroll crashing into the dirt. Freed of the burden, he collapsed - face first - moaning dizzily.

Fun with the demons
If ever Omoi had the chance to know what it was like to be in a blender, this was it.
The only thing she registered during the fall was that she felt a pair of hands firmly catch her before finishing her fall. Hiraku's quick save had prevented her from receiving the brunt of the balance displacement, so it only took a moment for her to realize that this unknown yet helpful and ruggedly handsome man was laying on top of her. She barely had time to blush out of sheer embarrassment before her scroll clocked the poor man in the back of the head, a small squeak coming from Omoi as he was flung over her prone form.
Noticing his staggering, she gasped and rushed forward, sliding on her knees to catch the man's head and shoulders in her arms. Even with the fall, her medical instincts kicked in; completely oblivious to the fact that the said man's face was now in her chest, she grabbed her pack and set his head down on it before reaching into her pouch for some salve and a butterfly bandage, as the small cut on his head was already bleeding very profusely.
During all of this, Omoi was whispering apologies as her guilt reached its peak, her voice cracking in remorse as she tended to Hiraku. "What have I done?! I am so sorry! This is all my fault; I should've dropped the scroll back off at home! Oh, please wake up!"

Bence watched with interest as the girl tumbled down the hill and took the male with her. He shook his head at the antics of the girl and the male. It was quite embarassing to watch the man take the fall and the girl take him with her. Shy couldnt he just step out of the way or at least catch the girl. Instead Bence had to watch as a shinobi of high rank got taken out by a small girl carrying an over sized scroll. He just shook his head as the man landed on the girl and then got a good laugh as he got up and was knocked in the head by a scroll that was bigger then his own thigh.
Bence then watched as the girl tired to save the male's head form biting the dirt with her chest. He covered his eyes with his hands. How stupid they both looked. This was only added to by the girl and her blabbering. So, you took out a chunin with only a scroll and your breast. You should be kage soon. No doubt about that. Bence said shaking his head.

Fun with the demons
OOC:The young shinobi's head was still spinning uncomfortably when his face was suddenly - and quite pleasantly - shoved into what felt like a woman's chest. He was confused - where was his scroll? It wasn't on his back - but the soft, pillowy goodness that were her breasts made him quickly forget what just happened (though the heavy bonk on the head certainly was part of the cause of his amnesia).OH MAN I just noticed how young she is XD. I have to edit some of this out.
He barely heard what she said as she spilled her apologies. But a mocking, almost hissing voice caught his attention. He had almost forgotten the Temna sitting close by, probably watching the two. His wryly amused laugh cut through the evening air, and thoroughly brought his pleasant warm feeling to an end. With a low groan, he looked up into the girl's face, then past her to glare at the demonic shinobi. Hiraku wanted nothing more than to wipe the mocking smile off the man's face.
Ignore him, he told himself before drawing his attention to the rather pretty girl's face. "Are you alright, miss? he breathed, the Tenma already forgotten again . He looked down at the girl's chest (still so inviting), before he theatrically sighed and collapsed again into her chest.

Fun with the demons
For a tense moment, Omoi was worried the young man had suffered a concussion as the Tenma approached. Giving the white-haired Tenma a suprisingly scolding and terse look, she kept on dabbing the salve on the cut before carefully setting the bandage atop the wound.
As he began to sit up, an audible sigh of relief came from Omoi. "Oh, thank goodness!" she breathed, placing her palm over her heart to calm herself. "I was so worried that you might have had some more severe head trauma. It's good to see you up."
Just as she finished speaking, she saw Hiraku sigh and start to fall back down. With a timid squeak, Omoi reached out and caught his head as his face fell against her breasts. Ever concious of the fact that this incredibly embarassing and compromising situation was being observed by one of the village's jounin, the kunoichi's face turned its customary deep reddish hue, remaining silent in an attempt to preserve what dignity they might have left.

Bence let a low growl leave his lips. It was disgraceful the way this ninja was acting, and the girl did not know what to do, which was a terrible thing in its own. His eyes turned the color of fresh spilled blood as he looked at the girl. He saw her name scrawled just above the mans head on the girls chest. He then looked into her eyes. Why don't you put him in your lap. That way his head is elevated but NOT in your cleavage! Be professional! You are not a peice of meat, you are and Iwa Medical ninja! And elite! Bence spoke in a low growl this his fixed tightly to the girls.
He switched his attention to the man that was not in the girls cleavage again. He considered kicking him, but that would not be a good idea. Even if the man was being a pervert he was a ninja in Iwa, one of Bence's comrades. To cause harm to him would give him trouble. He could never bring himself to hurt one of his own village, out side of a spar, or a missing nin. Instead he grabbed the man by the back of his collar and lifted him slightly way from Omni's breast, and layed him down in the girls lap, after turning him over so he was face up.
You should have more respect for women Hiraku! The behavior I just saw from you is quite disgusting to see from a ninja of Iwa, and even more so from one of your rank. Bence was physicaly shaking from his anger now and had to keep himself from saying more then he should. He looked at Omni and then to Hiraku.

Man, Hiraku thought happily. I should do this more often. Why don’t I have a girlfriend again? He pictured the girl’s face, so youthful and full of embarrassment, before he sighed again. Too bad she’s so young. We could have had a good thing going. He began to move, groaning slightly to feign regaining consciousness.
“My, my, what a talented kunoichi,” he mumbled. “I’m going to have to repay you somehow. By the way, my name is Hira-aaAAHHHH!” He yelped as he was suddenly yanked by his collar. He was lifted a few inches into the air before being – somewhat gently – replaced into the girl’s lap. He was suddenly face up, gazing into her face.
He vaguely heard angry rambling, and as his hearing began to focus (man, that knock on the had must have been worse than he thought), he could hear a man’s deep grumbling. Something about being an Iwa elite. He turned his head, and the Tenma (Ugh, why doesn’t he just go away?), began yelling at him. Hiraku sneered at the man’s words, chuckling at his shaking.
The chuunin rolled away from the girl’s lap, no longer swaying or sighing in pain. He was perfectly fine: a little disoriented, but that was quickly fading. He slowly stood to his full height, noting that he was a bit taller than the Tenma. Hiraku decided to not let this small advantage get to his head. After all, looking the man up and down, he had to be at least three years older than him, and a jounin at that. His smirk faded.
“Oi, Tenma-san,” he mused. “Where’s your sense of humor? It’s not like I was going to do anything to the girl.” He jerked a thumb at Omoi, still on the ground with a slightly dazed look to her face. “She’s a little young, don’t you agree, Tenma-san?”

Fun with the demons
This evening just kept getting more and more tense.
It wasn't that Omoi didn't know to put the man on her lap; she certainly didn't need to be reminded of such by the fearsome looking Tenma clan member. But Omoi couldn't really help it. She was simply an easily embarrassed person, and there weren't many ways around freezing up when a stranger's face falls into your chest.
Still, despite his growling, Omoi sensed it wasn't anger that motivated his speech. It was irritation, yes, but also... pride.
She managed to spit out an apology as Bence laid Hiraku on her lap. "I-I'm sorry, Tenma-senpai," she stammered, her face still beet red from the unexpected intrusion into her personal bubble. "I'm still not very good with..." She didn't finish the sentence, but it was obvious that she was referring to Hiraku's behavior making her feel awkward.
As Bence and Hiraku conversed, Omoi stood up. For now she simply observed, still a bit flustered from the entire situation.

Hrmmmm very young. Bence said as he folded his left arm under his right elbow and scratched his week old beard. He mad a mental note that he might should shave soon. He turned his attention back the the chunnin. I am Jiga, and you have already guessed my clan. I am Jounin of Iwa. If you must scowl why I am talking to you please use your bearing and hide it. Thanks. And I didnt think you would do any thing. The seen did not look like something two ninjas would do. Bence turned to the girl and smiled slightly and held a black and read gnarled claw out to the girl.
Stand. And introduce yourself miss Omoi. He chuckled a little at his own joke. He was taking Hiraku's advice. He had considered how scary, and annoying it would be to have a demon lecture you. Sorry for the lecture, both of you. I was not in a very satisfactory mood when the accident happened. So I reacted in a negative way. But this does not mean what I said is void!

The chuunin's eyes narrowed threateningly at the jounin as he reached for the Omoi. He just didn't want her to touch her. Nevertheless, he was Hiraku's superior, so he kept his mouth shut. As the Tenma rambled on, Hiraku looked for his discarded scroll. He found it laying next to the genin. As he bent next to her, he made an effort to flash her a friendly smile. She certainly won't be so young forever, the shinobi thought with a grin. I'm a patient man. He picked up all four feet of his scroll, fumbling with the leather straps as he hastily untangled it. He then set the scroll upright, resting a hand atop the aging paper.
"Like I was saying before I was rudely interrupted," he said in a low tone to the girl, "My name is Hiraku. I thank you again for helping me, miss. I'd like to take you out for a snack, you know, to thank you. Do you like takoyaki?" He walked almost directly in front of her, placing himself between Omoi and the Tenma. He made sure his back wasn't completely facing the man, out of (some) respect and to be sure he could keep a watchful eye on the jounin.
Hiraku extended a friendly hand. "Or, if you prefer, I could just walk you home. It is getting dark, after all. You don't want to run into anything threatening." At the last word, he turned his head slightly toward the Tenma. "Don't you agree, Tenma-san?"
His hand remained extended toward Omoi, a friendly gesture; his eyes were trained on the Tenma, conveying a clear message: You can't come.

With a timid voice she introduced herself. "My name is Nenshou Omoi. It's nice to meet you both," she stated
One thing that Omoi was renowned for in the medical field was her intense sense of curiosity; it was one of the reasons she became a medical nin in the first place. So when Bence extended his clawed hand out to Omoi, what others would see as a bulbous object of concern was new personal discoveries to be made for Omoi, her eyes crackling with a new energy as her apprehension vanished.
Despite her desire to learn more about this Tenma and his people, however, Hiraku's attitude towards the Tenma seemed less than friendly. She couldn't let this opportunity get away; there was still so much to learn here. So when Hiraku offered to buy a snack, Omoi got an idea. She looked away for a moment, tapping her chin with her index finger almost as if she were really thinking about his offer. Maru would certainly not be pleased if he found out that she had gotten something to eat with a stranger, even if he was a fellow shinobi.
That is... unless there were a certain Tenma clan member accompanying them.
"Very well. We can get something to eat... but on one condition," she responded with a small grin before pointing at Bence. "He gets to come with us. I'd rather not have you inadvertently incur Maru-kun's wrath. It'd be better if we had a chaperone."
Omoi turned to Bence. "Well, Tenma-senpai?" she asked, a genuine smile on her face as she extended her hand in return. "Would you be so kind as to join us?"

(OOC: I would rather you start using Jiga when your characters think of my charcter's name. My clan is very secretive of their names that is why he introduced his self as Jiga, not Bence. I am sorry if this is rude to you but it is something that is important. And I will do the same.)
Jiga noticed the light in the girls eyes when she noticed his arm. He thought it was weird that she had not noticed the growths on his shoulder. Or the same black and read legs that he had. That he did not wear shoes but walked around bare foot because the claws his feet had grown into hurt him when they were cased in foot wear. Or the red veins that spider webbed up his arms and accrossed his bear chest. The only thing that she would not see where his wings that were tucked nice and tight against his back. He was a Tenma, and his body showed it quit clearly. This train of thought was brought to an end when the girls star struck admirer got in the way with his bulky body.
Jiga smiled at the chunnin as he talked. He understood that the man did not like him. He understood that it was his appearance that cause this man to not trust him. He shurgged lightly. He knew who the boy was. He had heard his name and knew his origins. Jiga thought, considering the boys origin that he would be a little bit nicer a some one like Jiga. But he was being an ass. He didnt even seem to respect his rank. Jiga dissmissed this. It was not his consern. He whipped the male from his thoughts and turned his attention back to the girl as she spoke. But not after he got his mind across. Yes I do agree Hiraku. There might be older men trying to bribe her with candy and such. We shinobi should stick together and protect each other.
Jiga laughed at the mention of Maru. I would be glad to be company to the girl of the Master Glass maker. He winked at Omoi. How is Maru any how? He stepped to the side so he could see the girl Hiraku had gotten in his line of sight. Jiga would now be considering every move the chunnin made. Maru was his friend, a young friend but one all the same. It was hard for a Tenma to make such trust worthy people that liked him back.

Hiraku had never felt such an odd mix of infatuation, frustration, and confusion. He had no idea who this Maru fellow was, but he didn't like it. A suitor, perhaps? A mentor? All Hiraku knew was that: 1. he was suddenly out of the conversation; 2. the Tenma was still there; and 3. she had invited him along. She had invited him along! Clearly his invitation was for her and her only; he didn't like the prospect of having some winged creature hovering over their (what had the potential to be) very important and life-changing date.
He could do nothing but sulk. He turned away from the two, back facing them. He lifted the hand that was rested atop his scroll and shoved it into his jacket pocket. Clearly agitated, Hiraku aimed a fierce kick at the nearest object - his scroll. He immediately regretted it when he did. With a loud thunk, it slammed into the dirt and immediately began to unravel. He groaned. Should have fastened it better, he thought. He wasn't even in the mood to bend down and wrap it back up again; he had half a mind to just leave it there.
Turning, he could see the two still engaged in conversation. In all honesty, this was probably for the best. He pictured his aging grandmother sitting at home waiting for her evening tea. "Look guys," he announced. "I should really be-"
Wait. That wouldn't work. How idiotic and rude would he look to ask a girl out for food, then suddenly back down when their comrade was suddenly invited along as well? He would have to endure it.
Hiraku wanted nothing more than to scream.

Fun with the demons
Omoi's eyes sparkled at Jiga's familiarity with Maru. "You've met Maru-kun?" she asked him, her smile widening in joy. "Oh, I wish he would have said something about it. Maru-kun can be so... secretive sometimes." Jiga would note that when addressing him, Omoi never let her eyes stray from his; in fact, what made most people recoil in shock actually seemed to be a source of be-wonderment for the young woman, and it showed every time their eyes met.
Omoi knew very well that Hiraku had some biases against the Tenma; his demeanor was more than enough of a sign to illustrate that fact. As both a doctor and a ninja, she also knew that to harbor such biases not only puts yourself at risk, but it also potentially threatens those around you. The kunoichi had made it her goal to try and at least crack that image of their fellow village members that Hiraku had built up in his mind.
Omoi stifled a giggle at his antics. "I would adore some takoyaki, Hiraku-san," she told him, trying to help him save face.
Omoi knew very well that Hiraku had some biases against the Tenma; his demeanor was more than enough of a sign to illustrate that fact. As both a doctor and a ninja, she also knew that to harbor such biases not only puts yourself at risk, but it also potentially threatens those around you. Jiga looked at the girl and winked as she asked if he knew Maru. Of course. I met the little glass master in the fields just over there. He waved his hand toward their left were the vast plain started. Whe had a ......sharp? contest of abilities. He laughed at his own joke and then looked toward Hiraku as he spoke. He raised his eye brow at his stupid antics and his dumb retorts. Why could this man not just be a normal person and not some little bitch.
He turned back to the girl and smiled. That wounds good. Maybe we will run into the glass maker in town. I couldnt be lucky enough to mentor a team one day with one like him in it. The Tenma said as he looked about and then back at the girl. He was pondering his own words. He was really missing out on such things.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,

You are a child of God.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

The severely irritated chuunin grunted at the Tenma's acceptance of an invitation that was clearly not meant for him. He bent down, reluctantly, hastily rolling his scroll closed. He should be more careful with it. Lifting the burden onto his back, his shoved his hand into his pockets. Without looking back, he began walking towards the village. "Well, come on then. It's getting late, and I have things to do." His demeanor suddenly changed, and he didn't feel like being too friendly.
He led them towards the stand, seething as he heard the two chatting behind him.

Omoi was enjoying her conversation with Jiga, but she knew that past all of his... preferences, Hiraku was a kind and reasonable person. Walking up next to Hiraku, Omoi tilted her head and smiled. "So, Hiraku-san... how'd you end up finding this place we're headed to?" she asked politely, a gentle calm in her voice despite the ruminating tension that resided within Hiraku. "I've been to quite a few of the restaurants on this level, but I don't think I've heard of this one before."
This was true; Omoi was a bit of a connoisseur when it came to the cuisine of Iwagakure. The fact that she hadn't found out about it sooner intrigued her. Not only that, but it allowed for the kunoichi to reestablish a connection between the two, one that had been inadvertently threatened by Jiga's presence.

Hiraku glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. She was at least making the effort to talk to him. For a long while, it seemed like he wouldn't reply at all. He gazed straight a head, an almost sad look in his eyes as he lost himself in thought. He hadn't frequented the takoyaki place in quite some time; he'd been too busy caring for his grandmother, working as a chuunin and the like. His mind flashed to the time that he first went, barely a genin, with his now destroyed and separated squad.
"My genin squad came here a lot," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He wasn't being rude, not to Omoi, not to Jiga; the simple thought of his shinobi beginnings never failed to quiet him and, well, make him a bit sad. "Our sensei took us here right after a tough training session. We were all bleeding and sore, but he told us that we should be able to perform normal activities, even if we're hurt. It was the first time he taught us the importance of not letting injuries get the better of our lives." He paused, the small takoyaki stand coming into view.
"We didn't know it then, but what he taught us helped not only for physical injuries, but for emotional pain as well. Yeah....we had great talks here with each other." He stood to the side as he waited for his companions to sit at the stools in front of the counter. "But...that was a long time ago." He looked at her, a smile stained with sadness, and motioned for her to sit.

A day away from missions. The past few weeks hadn't been very enjoyable for Maru. The genin returned from a mission a few hours ago, and he just woke up from a power nap. He stood on top of his apartment complex, looking out at the town. Maybe he could find Omoi nearby. He took out his reading glasses from his pocket and put them on. Scanning around, he tried to look for his favorite blue haired kunoichi. He found a lot of chicks with blue hair, but none of them her. Suddenly, his eyes stopped on a blue haired girl headed for a restaurant. Omoi! he thought, with a smile. The smile quickly faded upon seeing the guy walking next to her. His expression went from excited to pissed. Do not judge him yet, he told himself, putting his glasses back in his pocket.
He leaped to a nearby building. Then another. And another. Pretty soon, he was rushing to the spot he saw them at. He was getting to the bottom of it. Stopping right before showing himself to them, he went to hide behind a building. Peeking outwards, he noticed a much older man with them. A very familiar man. Shaking his head, he went back to focusing on the guy. All three of them walked inside. A kunai now resting in his hand, but he kept it behind him as he followed them in casually. He would just keep walking until he was in their line of sight. That's when he'd make his move.

This technique requires the user to have glasses or contact lenses. Essentially, it allows him/her to zoom in on something that they focus on. No matter the distance, it'll allow them to see it like they were standing next to it. The technique can last up to half a minute, and won't cost any chakra after the initiation. However, once the object zoomed in on goes out of sight, the technique will be canceled. They are able to zoom out to let them see things up to as far as three times the normal sight range.

Bence sat down across from the two sitting at the table. He did not sit closer to either one of them. He wanted to be able to watch the pervert. He did not trust the guy nor did he like him for being prejudice against him. He wanted to be in front of the girl to be able to have a conversation with her when she decided to start talking to him again. In the mean time he leaned back in his chair and ran a black claw through his spiked white hair and looked around the shop. He smiled when he saw an old friend sneaking around the chop. He did not say any thing only a slight nod to toward him. He would like to see how all of it played out.

For a moment, when Hiraku offered a seat to Omoi, she hesitated. While she certainly believed the best about whomever she could, the kunoichi immediately wondered how Maru would view the situation. Making a quick decision, she sat down... directly in between Hiraku and Jiga. Not only would she be able to speak to both parties when needed, but Jiga would (hopefully) serve to intervene if Hiraku got too... confident, and her presence could serve as a means to calm Jiga if Hiraku did or said something that was less than culturally open-minded.
Hiraku's brief explanation of his past made Omoi reminisce on her own past. "I... can definitely appreciate that, Hiraku-san," she agreed as she glanced towards the Tenma with the same understanding in her eyes as was in her voice. "Considering the lives we live as shinobi, I think we all learn lessons like that regardless of our creed. All I can say is that you can't give up on the hopes that better times will come along."
Experiment #1: Attempting to empathically connect two opposing parties on similar grounds. Begin!

Omoi didn't have to try so hard to sit between them. There was no way he would have willingly sat next to the Tenma. Though he may have become more calm and respectful toward the jounin, he was still by no means going out of his way to talk to what amounted to a demon. After all, he had been foiled, thwarted, blocked, defeated from making any advances, any moves that may have began a budding romance.
Hiraku blinked. He seemed to have finally seen himself, heard his thoughts. Omoi was young, much too young. He was far from a pervert. But certain aspects of the female body made men switch which brain was in control of their actions. He huffed in disbelief. What an idiot! He glanced at both Omoi and Jiga, and a thought crossed his mind that made him nearly cringe: they probably thought he was a pervert. A filthy pervert preying on genin. He glanced down at the girl, thinking of how he could re-illustrate himself as a nice guy. His eyes trailed downward, onto her chest, and he thought of...thought of...so soft! He didn't know people could have bodies that soft!
His eyes lingered for a moment, perhaps a minute...closer to two, before a scruffy looking man brought them a large plate of steaming takoyaki. The server cleared his throat, noticing the chuunin staring almost absentmindedly at the girl. But as the server followed Hiraku's gaze, he certainly couldn't blame him. Both the chuunin and the server stared with wide eyes. Genin should NOT be allowed to have bodies like that.

Maru noticed the Jounin. It was Jiga. He smiled after seeing his old sparing buddy. Going to sit at a table across from them, he was glad he got a seat where he could see Omoi. Luckily her and the guy's back was facing him, so only Jiga knew he was there. He watched the guy's head slowly turn towards Omoi and he bit his tongue. He didn't wanna do or say anything that would get him noticed. He'll just wait. Someone came over and put food on their table. Maru saw that he too was staring at Omoi. That's it! he thought angrily. He got up quickly, but stopped when he saw someone approach his table. He sat back down and ordered a soda. He kept his eyes on them.

Jiga saw the look that the chunnin was now giving the girl and was about to say something, but right when opened his mouth a man came to the table and sat down a plate of food. Jiga figured that the man's being there would take care of the wondering eyes of the man that sat at his table. Jiga was wrong, he only added to it he too started to stare at the girls cleavage. This made Jiga furious. His eyes turned blood red and a snarl that could sour milk crossed his face as he slammed his black claw on the table. He deathly gaze shifted from the two men as he speak in a gnarled and twisted voice of the demon world.
"If the two of you men do not stop oogling over a little girl I will turn your insides into your out sides!!! He yelled at the two of them and made it very clear as he opened his claw and let the five fingers on his hand that were tipped with steal like razor tip nails. He then looked at the girl and grunted lightly as he pulled his cloak off and handed it to the girl. You will wear this cloak. NOW. His words did not leave room for questions and he would not accept them. It was a command.

The kunoichi had been hoping that her presence would help ease the tension that threatened to crush the very space around them like Wailord using Body Slam.
Instead, she became the center of attention... and not in a good way. Not even the methodically cataclysmic degradation and destruction of the laws of space/time (and just about every other paradigm that governs the statutes of our reality) could have prevented Omoi from feeling the massive creeper vibes coming from Hiraku and the waiter as they gorged their eyes on her modest figure, the blood rushing to her face transforming her head into a giant blue-furred strawberry.
Omoi didn't complain one bit when Jiga held out the cloak; with a quick flick of the wrist, she donned the cloak with a oddly fanciful "swoosh", choosing to keep her silence and trying to ride out the newest wave of embarrassment that she had just had thrust upon her.
'I wish Mother wouldn't insist that I wear this outfit so much,' she thought to herself as she cinched the inside of the cloak closed with her hands.

Jiga’s harsh reprimand and Omoi’s subsequent hasty retreat behind the safety of the cloak was the basic equivalent of a slap to the face. Hiraku shook his head, attempting to throw off the lecherous thoughts that danced around his head. He waved off the server, who was already making a frantic retreat after Jiga’s outburst. The chuunin quickly shoved four takoyaki balls into his mouth, focusing intensely on chewing the huge hunks of food to avoid choking. Yes, eating was a distraction from the girl who sat beside him, a mere three years his junior. He would have to go find a girl his age to talk to tomorrow to dispel the lusty thoughts from his mind.
He was pondering how the Tenma would go about 'turning his insides into his outsides' (shudder shudder) when the server - a female this time - set three drinks on the table. She bowed slightly, flashing a flirty smile in Hiraku's direction, who took absolutely no notice as he gulped down the soda in front of him, still concentrating on ways to make himself look like less of a pervert. Dejected, the server saunterd away toward the counter to prepare a second drink.
It certainly wasn't his fault that a genin walked around stuffing injured men's faces into her chest! It was a devilish scheme! A wicked ploy! An evil conspiracy to get him into trouble with the jounin for preying on poor little genin. He nodded his head, agreeing with himself that the Tenma and the girl had somehow planned this ahead of time. Though deep down he knew this was laughable, Hiraku was willing to accept any excuse for his sudden, unfamiliar perverted behavior.

Maru smiled when Omoi put Jiga's cloak on. It was good to know that he was looking out for her. The female server put drinks on their table. And Maru noticed the cups. Maybe it was time to make himself known. As the lady came over to his table, Maru snapped his fingers a few times to get her attention. "Hey, bring another round of drinks to that table you were just at. On me," he told her. "But...." He turned to look at Omoi one more time. Hoping she remembered this from their first date, he grinned. "Could you give the blue haired girl hers in a glass, please?" The lady then nodded and walked off.

Jiga sat back down as things calmed down at a pretty waitress gave them drinks.. He smiled at the girl who in return smiled to Hiraku who ignored it. Jiga wanted to back hand the little fucker across the room. He shook his head as he looked across the room at the wall. He scanned the room and spotted Maru talking to the pretty waitress and smiled as he nodded toward the table. He then turned his attention back to his own table and smiled.
Well, now that we are all straight on that. We can talk like shinobi. Hiraku how are things going with your career? Jiga was going to be friendly now. He didnt want to make the man feel like he was being shuned from the group. He liked it when every one liked every one.

Even in her abashed state, Omoi noticed the smiles that the reasonably attractive waitress was shooting towards Hiraku. Trying to stifle his own embarrassment, he failed to notice this as he stuffed his mouth full of takoyaki. With a slightly mischevious grin, Omoi discreetly slipped a napkin onto her lap and scribbled a quick note:
Note:With the same smirk, she slipped the napkin into the waitress's apron. As she walked towards the bar, she noticed the napkin sticking out of its front fold. Opening it and reading the note, a hopeful smile returned to her face as she went about her business, obviously planning her next approach. Her setup complete, Omoi was content to listen and assist Jiga in his attempt to bridge the chasm between the Tenma and Hiraku. The waitress had yet to return with the glass...Don't give up! He's just really embarrassed because of something that happened earlier. He's really nice when you get to know him!
Good Luck!

When Hiraku finally swallowed the mass of takoyaki in his mouth, he let out a content sigh. There was nothing like heavenly balls of fried octopus to ease his bad mood. He raised an eyebrow at Jiga’s question, somewhat forgetting his former prejudices. “Um…it’s going alright, I suppose. Granted, I haven’t done much training recently, with my grandmother sick and all…” He felt a vague sense of shame. He hadn’t shown much interest in his shinobi career in the past few months. Now that his grandmother was better, he should probably return to his training…
The chuunin looked up as the server brought another round of drinks to the table: two cups and a glass. Hm…they must be out of cups, I guess. Strange she wouldn’t just bring three glasses. He began reaching for the glass, but the server quickly placed it in front of Omoi before he could even touch it. The waitress didn’t take her eyes off Hiraku the entire time, smiling shyly as she handed him his drink. He returned the gesture. She was quite pretty, flowing auburn hair that clashed magnificently with her bright blue eyes. He couldn’t stop staring at those eyes.
“Hello, my name is Minori, and I’ll be serving you tonight.” Her greeting was obviously directed only towards Hiraku.
“I’m…I’m Hiraku.” Be cool, be cool. And stop staring at her, idiot.
“You’re Chihiro-san’s adopted grandson, right?”
Hiraku’s hand flinched. So she’d heard the stories….
“Chihiro-san is lucky to have a grandson as sweet as you to care for her.” her smiled widened, and she bowed slightly as she hurried away to bring them more takoyaki. Of course, he still hadn't stopped staring. He turned his head to look at Jiga, a slightly bewildered look on his face.
What....what just happened?

Maru saw the lady place the cups down. He smiled, knowing it was only a matter of time. Maybe he could get a little closer to them without being noticed. He watched the waitress go in the back and thought of the perfect way to get over there. But he had to wait even longer all of a sudden. And who knows, judging by the way the waitress is treating the guy he's after is even more reason for this plan to be set in play. He stared at the door in the back carefully waiting the girl's return. As she came out with the plate of food, Maru raised his hand to stop her. She walked over to him with a questionable look. Maru then slipped her a 20. "I'll take the food over there," he said, taking the tray from her. The lady smiled and nodded, going back in the kitchen with a big smile.
Maru made a single hand sign and transformed into their waitress. Picking up the tray, he got up out of his seat and walked to Omoi's table. Jiga would know since Maru was in his sight. Let's see if Omoi would figure it out. Setting the tray down, a bit roughly, Maru, as the waitress, stared at Hiraku as if it was really the waitress. "Anything else you'd like, guys?" he asked. It was to everyone, but he didn't take his eyes off the chuunin. He stood straight with his hands behind him. "You must be a very lucky guy to have a girl like that on a date." Pulling the kunai out of his sleeve, he kept the smile on his face as he continued to stare. But now it was at Omoi.

Jiga smiled as he watched Hiraku notice the waitress this time. He liked the way the boy and the girl mingled a little. He winked at Hiraku when the waitress went away and nodded at the boy's question. "Yes, family does take away from out abilities at work. A problem that every shinobi has, no doubt. How about you Omoi............ Just as he asked the question he saw Maru turn into the waitress and the real waitress look at the ground worried that Maru's trick might ruin her chances with Hiraku. Jiga did not like this trickery. Maru should be a man and himself in such matters.
As the waitress, Maru aproach the table. Jiga shook his head in disappointment, letting it show on his face. He watched Maru hard with a distasteful look on his face.

Fun with the demons
(OOC: The last bit of the post is under the assumption that Omoi's surprise hug dispels the Henge.)
The waitress came back and Omoi was certainly pleased that she got her second wind. The dazed look on Hiraku's face proved that her attempt to garner his fancy had some effect, at the very least. As soon as she set down the glass, however, she knew something was up. With two quick glances around the restaurant, she confirmed her suspicions: everyone else was being served their drinks in either clay or wooden cups... so why was Omoi the only one with a glass? Her eyes widened before she looked around for a second, an excited sparkle. 'He has to be here. He has to be!' she hoped abatedly, somewhat depressed that she couldn't find him at first glance.
She was distracted by Jiga's question, and she nodded fiercely. "Oh... you guys have no idea," she reminisced, recalling the slew of trials that accompanied Reiyaku's abrupt return.
Almost as if on cue, Maru showed up disguised as the waitress. It was plainly obvious who it was; her demeanor was completely different from before. She couldn't help but grin; even though sometimes it got in the way of being sociable, knowing that Maru cared enough to protect her with such vigilance made her feel wanted. Still, Maru was getting in the way of Hiraku's chances with that nice waitress Minori, and Omoi wouldn't have that. "Oh, we're not dating. I bonked Hiraku-san on the head with one of my research scrolls quite by accident. This is simply him returning the favor," she stated quite confidently, her honesty showing in her eyes. "Besides... you of all people should know I only have tastes for one man... isn't that right, Maru-kun?"
Unable to contain herself, she shot up from her chair and wrapped her arms around Maru's shoulders in an embrace with an excited giggle, causing Maru to stumble back and lose his concentration. "I missed you, boyfriend," she whispered, pecking him on the cheek.
The waitress was about to head back out, both worried that her opportunity was being torn to shambles and flustered that she was being displayed in a homo-erotic limelight, when a hand on her shoulder stopped her. Looking back, she saw a pair of amber eyes peeking out from brown bangs and black leather looking at her. "Don't worry," he assured her in a hushed tone. "That's just her boyfriend being overprotective. I'll take care of it for you."
With a quick set of seals, Reiyaku disappeared. Save a for a small distortion that only Jiga would probably notice, Reiyaku was invisible. Climbing up the wall and onto the ceiling, he simply awaited the moment where he was needed to intervene. Minori clasped her hands together, praying this mystery figure would help solve her problem.

Hiraku froze. Nothing was making sense. He almost pissed himself when the waitress said something about Omoi being his girlfriend. How the hell was he supposed to respond to that? ‘Oh, she’s not my girlfriend. She’s just some girl I met only over an hour ago, and I just happen to be unable to stop staring at her chest.’ Yeah. Right. Hiraku just sat there as the strange events unfolded in front of him.
Girls were strange. Not only did the waitress seem completely different, but Omoi seemed strangely happy to talk to her and called her…boyfriend? Wait, what? He nearly fell over in his seat when Omoi kissed her. So they’re lovers? Hiraku didn’t know whether to be interested or offended. After all, the only way a lesbian would hit on a guy was if….he looked like a girl…
As soon as Omoi hugged the image of the waitress, the chuunin slammed his head on the tabletop. Suddenly, he remembered why he didn’t have a girlfriend

((To everyone besides Axs, I apologize for not posting. I have been sick with food poisoning for a few days. Thanks for having patience to wait this long. To Axs, don't get Lala to PM me about posting for you or I will not >.>))
Maru ignored the look he was given by Jiga. Instead, he stuck his tongue out with an 'I don't care what you think' expression. Then he was hugged by Omoi. Cancelling the transformation, he took his normal form and smiled. Hugging her back, he felt her kiss him on the cheek for a quick second. "Missed you too," he said, looking at Jiga and the chuunin. "What's up, Jiga?" he said, nodding and letting go of Omoi. Taking the seat next to Jiga, he pulled it to the side of the table, sitting close to Omoi.
Now his attention was on the other guy. He looked at him and grinned. "And so we meet, friend of Omoi's. Hiraku, was it?" Letting his eyes wander for a bit, he caught a glimpse of the waitress. Thinking he might have screwed up her chances with this guy, he looked back at Hiraku. "I see the waitress has a thing for you. Gonna ask her out?"
